As a hard-working individual with mechanical skills, I have been able to replace windscreens independently. I hold a Canadian business visitor visa and have visited Canada multiple times to purchase tools and receive training on windscreen repairs.

Subject: Issue with Recent Windshield Replacement
I am writing to address a concerning issue we have encountered after our truck's windshield was replaced. Initially, we noticed water leakage inside the vehicle leading to the dash. Following this, your company replaced the windshield on 02-21-[redacted] which temporarily resolved the leaking. Unfortunately, we are now facing a new problem as the truck is not running and had to be towed to Laurel Diesel Services. The mechanic, Mike Overton, has identified severe corrosion in the fuses and relays due to water leakage into the computers, which has caused substantial damage over time.
I have always been satisfied with the service provided by Safelite and have consistently requested a specific technician, Joseph Bobince, in the past as he does exceptional work. However, a different technician worked on the replacement on 12/09/[redacted], and it seems they may not have the expertise with Semi-Trucks as Joseph does.

I have been attempting to speak directly to a real person for the last half-hour with no success. There are no options on the menus to do so. I have been experiencing the same difficulty reaching the local shop since last Friday with a constant busy signal. I would rather try reaching the CA DMV, even though I am aware of their inefficiencies. On 7/10/21, I had a windshield installed, and an item associated with the rear mirror was broken during the process. I was informed that a replacement would be ordered and installed, but I am still waiting for any action to be taken. After the installation, my car was left parked in the sun with the top down, and with Palm Springs temperatures at about [redacted] degrees, the car's interior became excessively hot. The lack of professionalism during this job raises serious doubts about the company's advertised image. Today's experiences suggest that the issue is systemic. It appears that as customers, we are just here for the convenience and to contribute to your billions in annual income. I will refrain from making any further remarks as I prefer not to express my true feelings.

I had work order 01[redacted]42 for my windshield replacement today, starting around 11:30, by a skilled technician named Mike from the Duncansville site. I had initially scheduled the appointment for the afternoon on either 8/31 or 9/1, with Kevin calling on Thursday to discuss potential body damage from a fallen tree. When Tyler arrived, there were concerns about repairs to the pinch weld, indicating a body shop might be required. Luckily, a local body shop was accommodating for a Friday appointment on 9/10. After a few scheduling changes, Mike took over the service excellently, validating that no body repairs were actually needed. Although the situation was frustrating and time-consuming, I appreciated Mike's professionalism. However, I would like to address these concerns with a higher authority to ensure such mishaps are avoided in the future.

On July 13, [redacted], I arrived for service. The technician inadvertently left the calibration device on the motor, causing a dent in the hood when closing it after installing the glass. Only after questioning him about the dent did he admit his mistake. Resolving the issue proved to be time-consuming, involving arranging transportation, repairs, a rental car, payments, and accommodations for my child and me. I find it disappointing that the tech did not immediately disclose the error. Despite emailing Safelite in Lithia Springs, Georgia, no one has responded. I am hoping to recover my expenses and receive an apology and acknowledgment of the inconvenience. I have contacted various Safelite executives via email without any response or regret. In the past, I have had multiple window installations with minimal issues except for one seven years ago, which was promptly addressed. This recent incident has been handled poorly, and I would appreciate any assistance. Thank you for your attention.

I need assistance with an issue involving a recent repair on my son's [redacted] Toyota Corolla. After a small fender bender, we contacted Safelite to fix the front windshield. The technician, Alexander (Alex), had an incident where he damaged the previously repaired fender while fixing the window. When we raised this concern to Alex, he responded unprofessionally, making light of the situation. We spoke to his supervisor, Chris, who delayed assessing the damages. Upon inspection, Chris claimed the fender was originally installed incorrectly, refusing to take responsibility. We are seeking acknowledgment of the damages from Alex and reimbursement from Safelite for the repairs. A Safelite driver was blocking the alleyway, causing a delay in getting home. After 10 minutes, the driver eventually moved but with a bad attitude. This particular driver services four houses in the area. While I wasn't the customer at that time, I've used Safelite many times before. Please remind drivers not to block alleyways or driveways to other homes. It's important for them to be courteous and respectful when requested to move politely. Thank you for addressing this issue. In June [redacted], my window fell off the track, leading me to schedule a repair with Safelite. They determined it was the regulator and said it was covered by insurance. After the repair, my window operated inversely and only moved an inch at a time. Despite a follow-up appointment, the issue persisted, and Safelite attributed it to their part not being compatible with my car. They mentioned ordering a part from Hyundai to rectify the situation. However, after almost 6 months of no further communication, they recently contacted me, stating it's no longer covered by insurance and I need to pay. This marks the third time I'm being charged to address the same ongoing problem that remains unresolved. Prior to their initial intervention, my window functioned perfectly, and Safelite acknowledged this third repair was their responsibility.

Hello,
I am writing to express my disappointment with Safelite. I recently scheduled an at-home visit to have my [redacted] VW Golf Alltrack windshield replaced, with Rain Sensor and Lane Keeping optics. Unfortunately, the service person arrived with the wrong part twice. After rescheduling for this morning, I was informed the replacement part was damaged, leading to further delays. This has cost me three days of work and left me without a replacement windshield.
While the manager was apologetic and offered explanations for the issues, I hoped to hear a stronger commitment to resolving the situation beyond monetary compensation. Safelite's service should prioritize customer satisfaction and loyalty above all else.
As a former repeat customer, I am now considering alternatives. Moving forward, Safelite should address the accuracy of vehicle descriptions in their appointment system and improve oversight of replacement parts' shipping to prevent similar incidents.

Since June 28, [redacted], I have been attempting to replace my windshield with Safelite, but the process has been frustrating. On July, a scratched windshield was installed after a wrong one was brought in June. By February [redacted], I noticed my cruise control wasn't working due to the incorrect windshield. In March, Safelite attempted to fix it but couldn't recalibrate the camera, so the dealership couldn't help either. A new windshield was ordered from the dealership in March, but the replacement they installed on April 4, [redacted], had a significant scratch. The ordeal has been exasperating, and on top of it all, I had to also pay the dealership for their unsuccessful attempt to recalibrate the camera.

I recently had my windshield replaced. While somewhat pleased with the service, I was disappointed that the new windshield was not cleaned, and there was trash left in my truck and driveway. I allowed Tyrell and his assistant in a hurry for an appointment, but I was unhappy with the service. I opted not to take the wiper blades as a result. They failed to provide the discount from my original bill, overcharging me by $70.
After speaking to a customer service representative who acknowledged the overcharge, I was promised a call from the Union City Facility by a certain date, but no call has come through. Despite multiple attempts to contact them, the phone system times out and disconnects. I am seeking a resolution by having the $70 credit applied to the credit card used for payment.

I called numerous phone numbers in an attempt to reach a live person at Safelite, but had no success until I dialed [redacted], which is Safelite Auto Glass Corporate Headquarters. However, even after finally getting through, the representative I spoke to was unable to clearly answer whether my [redacted] Toyota Camry SE requires recalibration after installation. Ultimately, I was provided with a new quote that was nearly $[redacted] higher, approximately the cost of recalibration. I asked if the original online quote would be honored in case recalibration was necessary, but was informed that any additional costs for recalibration would not be covered. This discrepancy is important due to authorization requirements at my company.
I spent over an hour trying to resolve this matter with a resistant Customer Service department. I had to request a supervisor, who also struggled to explain the difference in the quotes and had to call me back after further investigation.

I recently had my windshield replaced at Safelite in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania on August 9th. I dropped off my car in the morning and picked it up just after 5pm. However, upon inspection, I noticed a significant scratch on the new windshield. The following day, I contacted the location and spoke with the manager, David. I felt that he was unprofessional when I raised the issue about the scratch, as he dismissed it by saying that scratches are common during shipping. I explained that a new windshield shouldn't have any scratches. I also noted that the receipt mentioned window washing and car vacuuming, which were not done properly as there were black particles on my dashboard. I just want a refund at this point as it has been inconvenient for me to keep going back and forth due to this matter.

The driver was extremely rude when speaking to my daughter. He left my car unlocked without explanation, no call back number, and didn't inform us about not fixing it. When I called the office, they were unhelpful, giving me the runaround, hanging up on me, and refusing to accept checks for payment, which contradicted their website stating checks as the second form of payment.

I brought in my Japan-made [redacted] Civic, and they completed the job in 50 minutes. However, the staff did not provide clear instructions on how to care for the new window and neglected to use tape on the edges. The adhesive used for the front window had spilled over onto the plastic trim around it, and the overall quality of work was subpar. The windshield now makes concerning noises when driving. My assigned worker, Tanner, did not properly introduce himself or explain the process. I observed another technician handling a different customer with much more attention to detail and care. It was disappointing to witness the staff's discriminatory behavior towards non-English-speaking customers. Overall, the service was disrespectful and the business lacks quality. I recently went to the Lewisville, Texas location to have the windshield on my Porsche Macan Turbo replaced. Unfortunately, I received a call from my husband notifying me that the replacement windshield had a defect. Not only that, but they also broke my rearview mirror in the process. This is a significant inconvenience for me as I had to take time off work to retrieve my keys from Safelite. What was supposed to be a one-day replacement will now take two weeks due to needing to order a new windshield. I am now left without a car to drive to work and back, which is causing me considerable stress. I believe Safelite should take responsibility for their mistakes and cover the costs of alternative transportation during this time. I hope to resolve this situation promptly with their cooperation.

I received a link to obtain a quote to replace the back windshield of my car. After going through the process, I was given a quote of $[redacted] for the standard replacement service. I found a PROMO CODE for $80 from Safelight Auto Glass, entered it, and my new quote became $[redacted], but the page froze before giving me my appointment time. It took me to a new quote of $[redacted] for the glass only when I tried to proceed. I am trying to contact customer service to fix this issue and revert to the original $[redacted] quote, but it's challenging to find the right contact information on their website. When calling, they require an order # or phone # linked to the order to speak to a representative. This has been frustrating, especially because I need to get my window repaired promptly for an out-of-town business trip.

I have been experiencing issues with the team in the DC metropolitan area for the past few weeks. Initially, they came to my home to replace my windshield but then realized they had the wrong glass. They asked me to visit the shop instead but the appointment was delayed multiple times. When I finally visited the shop as scheduled, they discovered they still had the wrong glass and asked me to wait for a call within 24 to 48 hours, which hasn't happened yet after 96 hours.
