I purchased a Ryobi Cordless Smart Trek Self-Propelled lawn mower with Model RY40LM03 and Serial Number #EU19146N030195 a year ago. I have only used it a few times, and now the mower has stopped working. When I tried to charge the battery (6Ah 40V, Model OP40601, Serial # FL19116D210617), it showed as defective. Despite numerous attempts to contact customer service and selecting the call-back option, I have not received any response. The mower should still be under the 5-year warranty, but I am unable to resolve the issue or speak to a representative. I have other 18V Ryobi tools that have been fantastic, so this experience is disappointing. My grass is growing tall, and I really need to get this battery situation sorted out.

I represent BUD, INC., based in Mendocino County, California, and I need to express my deep disappointment with RYOBI CO. regarding their products. Working on a custom fabrication project using a RYOBI grinder has presented numerous issues:
1) Each $[redacted].00 battery has a very brief charging life.
2) The RYOBI grinder, received as a gift, overheats quickly, causing burns.
3) It's taking 6 hours to grind 1 1/2 x 1 1/2 boxed steel, even with 3 RYOBI Lithium 18v 4Ah batteries.
4) The grinder's inefficiency has caused a 2-week delay in my project, given the constant need to recharge the battery.
5) HOME DEPOT is unwilling to accept returns for both batteries and the grinder. This has left me unsatisfied with a subpar product. I request reimbursement for the grinder and the three lithium batteries, as well as prepaid shipping labels for the return. I will be switching to a different brand in the future and will not purchase RYOBI products again.

Two years ago, I bought a Ryobi S2900 pressure washer. After using it once and leaving it outdoors, I noticed issues with the carburetor and other parts. Despite Ryobi's recommendation, the repair shop informed me that the $[redacted] repair cost for these issues isn't covered under the 3-year warranty. This experience has left me extremely disappointed. I used the pressure washer only once, and now I'm facing these repair costs. I feel let down and doubt I'll consider purchasing from Ryobi again in the future. It's frustrating when companies don't stand by their products, especially when they turn out to be faulty so soon after purchase.

I am disappointed with the product p2003vnm. As I tried to assemble it, I encountered significant difficulties. The tabs initially fit in but failed to latch despite various attempts to adjust them. When I removed it to check for obstructions, the handle broke around a screw when I tried to affix it back on. I reviewed the instructions again but to no avail. Even after waiting and trying again, the handle broke on subsequent attempts. I am extremely let down by the poor quality of this product. After comparing it with other models for at least half an hour, I deeply regret choosing it. I now realize I should have stuck with familiar and trustworthy brands. I don’t know if I want a refund or what can be done, but I am highly dissatisfied and likely won’t purchase or recommend your products in the future.

I purchased an electric (110v) reciprocating saw a couple of years ago, but it doesn't hold the blade securely anymore after minimal use. I own battery-operated tools including a drill and a skill saw that have been working well for 10 years, unlike the reciprocating saw, which has failed twice soon after replacement. The current situation makes it challenging to return the faulty tools. I would appreciate it if replacements could be shipped to me. Thank you.

Hello, I am experiencing an issue with my Ryobi Ry48111 100Ah RM480EX riding lawn mower control display. The screen does not stay lit for more than a few seconds after turning the key to the on position. It briefly displays "c2.0" followed by "[redacted]" and then turns off. I have checked all connections under the control panel and everything seems secure. Even after disconnecting the battery cable for a hard reset, the problem persists. I purchased the mower in April and it was working fine until recently. Apart from the display issue showing battery usage, the mower seems to operate normally. I have researched online but have not found a solution for this specific problem. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Unfortunately, I do not have access to a truck to bring it in for professional evaluation.

Last summer, I purchased a $[redacted] battery-powered lawn mower, but found out that one battery wasn't enough for my yard, causing delays for recharging. To meet the demand for eco-friendly lawn care, I bought more batteries at over $[redacted] each. By the end of the season, I had accumulated a total of 7 batteries from servicing 12 lawns at $10 each. As I prepared for the new season, six batteries were flashing red and green due to winter storage. I decided to invest in a new mower from Ryobi with fantastic battery life. Disappointed with the previous battery issues without holding onto receipts, I believe the products underperformed, except for the new 40v HP 6ah batteries which I recommend. I am willing to return the faulty batteries to Ryobi for further action. - Justin P. from Flint, MI, ZIP:[redacted]

I purchased a RY40 trimmer on July 22, [redacted], from Home Depot at [redacted] State Road 64 East, Bradenton, FL [redacted]. After using it for the first time on July 24th, I attempted to charge the battery when it suddenly exploded, causing a fire. The flames damaged my kitchen cabinet, ceiling, and back wall. During the incident, I sustained burns on my pinkie finger. Fortunately, my family members, including my siblings and their young children, were present and inhaled smoke and ash. I have evidence of the faulty battery and can provide it upon request. Please contact me to discuss the damages and how your company will address the repairs. You can reach me at [redacted].

Hello, I bought a Ryobi Lawn Mower at a Home Depot in Norfolk, VA on 09/07/[redacted]. I am having trouble starting it despite making sure the battery is charged and following the manual instructions. Home Depot directed me to reach out to Ryobi for warranty repairs. I am looking for guidance on how to get my self-propelled electric mower diagnosed and fixed. It would be helpful if Ryobi has local repair shops in the Hampton Roads area (VA) that I can visit. You can contact me through email at [redacted], and my phone number is [redacted]. Thank you, LyVonnia Revels.

I contacted customer service in July about an issue with my RYOBI Evercharge cordless vacuum model P714-18v. The vacuum isn't taking a charge despite receiving a new wall-mounted charger from the helpful customer service team. It seems the problem lies within the vacuum itself, as the charger is unable to charge the battery. To work around this, I can remove the battery and charge it using my Ryobi charger for other tools, and it functions properly in the vacuum. I am requesting a replacement vacuum.

I recently purchased a Ryobi [redacted] psi, 2.3 GPM pressure washer. When I first started it without hoses connected to let the oil run through, it worked fine. But later, when I hooked up the hoses and forgot to turn on the fuel, it died, and now it won't start. The engine feels seized as the cord only pulls out about 6 inches. I'm uncertain if I should try putting fuel in the carburetor or how to release pressure in the pump. I already tried pulling the trigger to release any pump pressure to no avail. Any suggestions on how to resolve this would be appreciated as I haven't even had a chance to use it yet. I suspect running it without fuel might have caused it to seize.

On June 6, [redacted], I underwent knee replacement surgery and needed a new lawn mower suitable for my recovery. I ordered a manual and self-propelled mower online, receiving it in late August [redacted]. Initially, it worked well but later had issues running only in self-propelled mode. I sought help from a lawn service technician who labeled it a dangerous machine, urging me to contact Ryobi. Despite visiting Home Depot and following Ryobi's instructions to take it to Mansfield Home Depot on August 4, [redacted], the issue remains unresolved. Disappointed with the lack of assistance, I ended up having to purchase a new mower. I am seeking clarification on what went wrong with my existing mower, as it also had issues operating without a grass catcher or mulch plug. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello, my name is Gordon P. My wife and I built a new home, and as part of this process, I purchased a complete set of Ryobi cordless outdoor lawn care products, including a Ryobi zero turn mower, push mower, edge and weed trimming system, chainsaw, and hedge system. Everything was purchased in November [redacted] and stored until we moved in. The builders agreed to take care of the lawn until the sod settled, which was a bonus for us. In March [redacted], once we started maintaining the lawn, all the equipment was working perfectly. However, recently, the zero turn mower is not charging to its full capacity. While it initially charged to [redacted]%, it now only reaches 70%. I've read similar complaints on the Ryobi forum regarding this issue with the batteries. Despite this, I'm still using the mower, but I'd like to find a resolution. If you have any advice, please let me know. Thank you.

Upon retiring three years ago, I received a Ryobi Drill and Driver set which I have expanded on by adding a torch, blower, and circular saw. I even purchased Ryobi tools for my son, as I find them to be well-made and user-friendly. Recently, I've encountered an issue with the Battery Charger that came with my set. Despite its stationary position and lack of moving parts, it has ceased functioning after just three and a half years. I believe a product like this should have a longer lifespan. When investing in your tools, the durability of the charger should not be a concern. Sincerely, Ron C.

Product Review Rewrite:
Ryobi P2606VMN Cordless Hedge Trimmer
I've only had the chance to use it twice. The battery initially held a charge and I got decent results. It's a bit weak, but that's expected from a battery-powered tool. However, the last two times I tried to use it in the past 6 months, the battery was flat right after charging. It has managed to charge up eventually, but waiting is frustrating. It's disappointing that it failed to hold a charge after an overnight charge, as confirmed by a voltmeter. I own several other blue Ryobi tools, but this 18V Lithium Ion battery system issue with the hedge trimmer is baffling. I've had no problems with other tools in the past. Trying to reach Ryobi through email has been unsuccessful.

I bought a Ryobi 20-inch mower, Model RY40108, Serial EU18474D020156. I encountered problems with the handle not locking correctly and eventually falling apart, damaging the wires inside. After leaving it for repair under warranty at LAWN EQUIPMENT REPAIR, I was informed it was fixed on November 18, [redacted]. However, upon trying to start it, the handle came apart again. I promptly contacted the repair shop to report the issue and was advised to bring it back. It's been several months without a working mower, and I believe it might be time to request a replacement. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Sincerely, J. H.

Could someone confirm if the P117 charger can fully charge both NiCD and NiMH batteries? Also, is it okay to leave a spare battery in the charger without it draining? I've checked the charger, but I want to be sure it will charge each battery fully and store them without losing power. I've been unable to find email support for Ryobi. Does anyone have their email contact?

Good afternoon,
I recently bought the Ryobi P3150 18V heat gun, hoping it would meet my needs. Unfortunately, upon using it, I discovered that it does not produce much heat or power. When held facing upwards for work, it only runs for a few seconds before shutting off. I attempted using multiple fully charged batteries, but encountered the same issue.
I missed the return deadline at Home Depot and no longer have the box, making a return impossible. Despite this, I own several other Ryobi products that have been satisfactory. I wanted to share my experience to inform you that I feel like I wasted $71 on this particular purchase.
Thank you for your attention.
Best,
Frank G.

Hello, I own a model P330 finish nailer purchased in [redacted]/[redacted]. Despite minimal use, it keeps jamming nails. Each time I use it, the nails jam frequently. I dismantled the nailer and noticed the metal at the nail head has deteriorated, causing the nails to get stuck. Unfortunately, the specific part needed for repair is no longer available. I tried reaching out to several places for repair, but no one offers service for this type of nailer as they are seen as disposable items. This seems like a defect in the metal. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.
