I bought a product a few months ago, and shortly after, I started getting bitten by something. I initially thought it was something in my house, but after checking, I couldn't find anything. The store assured me the products were new and bug-free. I stayed elsewhere and didn't have any issues, but once back home, I started getting bitten again. After confirming it was bed bugs, I had an exterminator inspect, but they found nothing. I tried different beds and realized the issue was with the RAC product. Now, I'm back to sleeping on the couch. I would appreciate speaking to someone about this.

Tonight, my family witnessed a troubling incident in the Tops parking lot in Norwich, NY, as the town was bustling with people attending the Gus Macker event. A yellow Penske truck swiftly pulled up in front of the Rent-A-Center store by Tops, and an older gentleman with gray hair emerged from the driver's seat. He proceeded to recklessly unload furniture from the back of the truck, tossing items haphazardly into the parking lot instead of placing them neatly on the sidewalk in front of the store. The items included mattresses and some wooden stands that ended up breaking upon impact.
To our shock, the man was wearing a Rent-A-Center polo, indicating he was an employee. After a couple of minutes, two other workers from the store came out to clean up the mess left by the grumpy driver before he hastily drove off.
Regardless of the reasons behind the man's behavior, whether a bad day or just a poor attitude, his actions reflected poorly on both himself and the Rent-A-Center store in Norwich. It was alarming to learn that this older man was actually the store manager, as we discovered when asking around. This incident serves as a stark reminder to companies to carefully consider the individuals they hire and how they represent the business.

I recently received a call from Rent-A-Center management in Shelbyville, Kentucky at [redacted]. They accused me of being a co-renter on a phone rental with my son and daughter-in-law, David and Michelle Cordell. However, I want to clarify that I was not present during the phone rental transaction; I was only involved in renting a PS4, which has been returned. I did not sign any paperwork for the phone rental and should not be held accountable for it. Despite the phone supposedly having insurance, I was informed otherwise and they were discussing a payment plan with Michelle Cordell. The manager was confrontational and refused to listen to my side, which escalated into a heated argument. Can someone please investigate this issue and provide me with guidance? You can reach me at [redacted]

I have concerns about the store manager at the Covington VA location engaging in dishonest activities. The individual, Gene Smith, has been manipulating prices of items, marking them as damaged, and allowing his associates to purchase goods at significantly reduced prices. He has even sold items through Facebook for personal gain. I believe an investigation into his actions is necessary to address this ongoing issue. I wish to maintain anonymity and trust that this matter will be looked into promptly. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I received a notice from Rent A Center located off West Florida in Hemet on the 13th, informing me that my furniture would be repossessed if I didn't make arrangements. I called them to explain I needed a few more days to pay the full amount, but they insisted on immediate payment. They mentioned I owe $[redacted] by September 19th or face a $2,[redacted] interest charge. Despite having paid more than half of my couches, they were unwilling to accept the $40 I could offer. To complicate matters, the staff has been disrespectful, making threats to contact my family members and employer. This situation adds unnecessary stress as I'm recovering from a recent hospitalization due to kidney issues and coping with financial hardships after my husband's layoff. I've been a loyal customer, but their unprofessional behavior and billing errors have made my experience distressing. I request a short extension to settle the outstanding balance.

I used to be a customer at HH Gregg until they closed down. Afterwards, I transferred my account to RAC in Fredericksburg, VA. Currently, I owe them around $[redacted] or possibly less. Unfortunately, I lost my job due to an illness and now receive Disability benefits. I promptly informed RAC about my situation and proposed a payment plan. To my surprise, they threatened to repossess my washer/dryer if I couldn't make the payment on the designated due date. This requirement was not mentioned in the contract and left me puzzled about individual company policies. I am only a couple of weeks behind on the payment.

I am being pressured to purchase an extra insurance policy that the contract clearly states is optional. I voiced my preference against it, explaining that I already have renters insurance at my place. However, the sales and store managers reacted badly, demanding to see my existing policy. I showed them the online version, but they insisted on a hard copy, rejecting emails. To accommodate their request, I offered to go home, print a copy, and return it. My spouse and I were taken aback by this situation as nowhere does it state that we are required to have their insurance, let alone alongside our current coverage. Their insurance costs $15 monthly and there are even two types available. It appears they are adding these undisclosed fees for all customers without proper disclosure of it being optional. While having insurance is beneficial, customers deserve transparency in making an informed choice.

I recently purchased a sectional sofa that was delivered last week. Despite being told it was in like-new condition, it arrived with stains, a large rip, and several snags. The store manager at the Oklahoma City location on 23rd street, Marshall, assured me it would undergo cleaning and inspection, which did not happen. After contacting Marshall about the issues, he promised a replacement would be delivered the following day. However, after waiting all day, canceling plans, there was no show or even a courtesy phone call to explain the delay.

I, Anthony H., and Sommer F. have been trying to reach out to customer service at Rent A Center in Hermitage, PA for approximately a month, but we have not seen any progress. Despite being loyal customers for 3 years, we have encountered continuous issues. Our TV, which we have been paying for since August [redacted], broke, and Rent A Center replaced it, yet they are now expecting full payment for two TVs. This seems unfair as they took back the first TV. We believe that once we finish our payments, the items should belong to us. We have been paying for a TV we have not had for over 7 months. We are seeking a resolution before completing our payments. We have considered legal advice, but we prefer to avoid that route. Rent A Center's customer service has been unsatisfactory, and we request assistance in resolving this matter. Thank you.

I, Anthony H., and Sommer F. have been trying to reach out to customer service at Rent-A-Center in Hermitage, PA for about a month now, but unfortunately, there has been no resolution. We have been loyal customers for around * years, but have encountered continuous issues. We had a TV that broke in August ****, which we were still paying for, and Rent-A-Center replaced it with another TV while billing us for both. This situation seems unfair as we no longer have the old TV in our possession. We believe that once we complete our payments, the items should belong to us. We have been diligently making payments for over * months for a TV we do not have. We prefer to resolve this amicably with Rent-A-Center, but the lack of response has led us to consider legal options. We hope to reach a satisfactory resolution soon.

As a customer in Warner Robins, GA, I received a bedroom set on Saturday, Oct 13, [redacted], in the evening. Unfortunately, the mattress had blood stains, holes, and was dirty without any plastic wrapping. I plan to take legal action and have already filed a complaint with the Houston County police department and will notify the health department on Monday, Oct 15, [redacted]. I am extremely disappointed and disgusted by the service. I contacted the store manager, N.M. and C.T., who refused to pick up the set and left it in my house over the weekend, posing a health risk. The two delivery persons from Rent-A-Center, located at [redacted] Watson Blvd STE U, Warner Robins, GA [redacted], need to be held accountable for this unacceptable delivery. The agreement number is [redacted]5.

I'm a returning customer who called the store on Eureka Road in Taylor to inquire about renting a TV. The employee insisted on a pay stub and a credit check for me and even for my girlfriend who would receive the TV. I mentioned I was a returning customer, but this requirement was new to me. I felt I was being treated unfairly and left to return to the store I previously rented from, where I got the TV without any issues. It seems the Rent-A-Center on Eureka Road in Taylor has certain policies that are turning customers away.

I rented a 65-inch TV on Black Friday. After completing the paperwork, the young man assisting us did not listen, wrote down the wrong phone number, and entered incorrect employment information. Despite providing pay stubs, the delivery was scheduled between 6-8 pm but didn't happen. After waiting nearly 5 hours, no one showed up. Upon calling the next morning, I was informed they couldn't verify the phone number or employment details. Despite my attempts to explain to the manager, they refused to listen. I find it unfair that they can create a legally binding lease agreement and then disregard it. I have consulted with an attorney regarding this issue. Despite having two missed calls from them, they claim they couldn't verify my phone number. I'm hoping for a prompt resolution to this matter without legal action, but I am prepared to pursue it if necessary. Thank you. - Jerry M.

I bought a TV at Rent-A-Center in West Memphis, Arkansas from a salesman named Tony. Initially, I got a used Vizio smart TV, made $1,[redacted] in payments, but wasn't satisfied. I returned with my partner, checked out new TVs, and opted for a brand-new one. Tony showed me the available options, and I chose a Vizio WAN[redacted] VZE601IA3B still in the box. Despite paying on time, I was informed the previous payments couldn't be transferred. After signing a new agreement, I experienced issues with the new TV, requiring several service calls. Instead of getting my own TV back, a loaner was dropped off, and upon paying it off, the TV returned was damaged. Despite my frustration and $10,[redacted] in purchases including a desktop, tablets, and a laptop, all with issues, customer service hasn't been satisfactory. I have been unable to use the malfunctioning laptop I bought two months ago and faced problems with the other items. I feel mistreated and am considering escalating the issue if a resolution isn't reached.

I have a couch from Rent-A-Center that I've been paying off for a while. Lately, I've fallen behind on my payments due to some unexpected expenses. I'm reaching out to see how I can catch up. I rent through the Fort Dodge branch in Iowa with the zip code [redacted]. My name is Chelsey G. I plan to make a $50 payment on Monday and pay off the remaining balance in January with my tax refund. I want to work out a plan that is convenient for me and the Rent-A-Center staff, who have been very helpful and friendly. I appreciate their understanding and professionalism. Please respond to my email. Thank you.

I recently had a payment arrangement due to some financial difficulties. Unfortunately, a potential manager in your store area behaved extremely unprofessionally by cursing and hanging up on me. This interaction felt like harassment, and I am considering legal action for being mistreated over a $12 issue. Despite my loyalty as a long-term customer, the way this situation was handled is unacceptable. I have been unable to reach the appropriate channels to voice my complaint. I offered to make a payment at the local Rent-A-Center, but was told it had to be done differently, causing inconvenience in a snowstorm. The whole ordeal left me upset and disappointed. It's concerning that such behavior is tolerated in your company. Personally, I know the importance of good customer service and would never treat someone the way I was treated.

Due to an unexpected vehicle accident, I fell behind on my payment. I had to cover expenses for towing and repairs, affecting my ability to pay on time. Considering my loyalty as a customer of RAC for over 5 years, I'm hoping to discuss the possibility of shifting my past due balance to a later date. My phone service from RAC is vital for work and keeping informed about my vehicle. I value the relationship we have, having made significant purchases for my home and electronics through RAC. I am willing to incur late fees if necessary, as long as I can arrange for a more convenient payment schedule.

I have tried multiple times to use the over $[redacted] credit at Rent-a-Center in Harrisonville for bunk beds, but each time I was brushed off. They claimed they had the bunk beds in stock, but they did not. Despite promises of callbacks and checking availability, I never received any follow-up. Fed up, I ended up purchasing bunk beds from Walmart. Now, I want to apply my rental credit to the TV and stand I currently have from Rent-a-Center and close my account. When I asked for a customer service number, they refused to provide it. I am seeking prompt resolution as I am frustrated with the lack of customer service and being ignored.

My experience with Rent-A-Center has been frustrating due to the store manager's rude behavior and threats. Despite always paying, I am consistently hit with late charges. I feel like every time I near paying off an item, something goes wrong. Recently, they repossessed a TV with only $[redacted] left to pay. Now, I'm dealing with a malfunctioning dryer and a used washer they delivered in poor condition. Their threatening voicemails and aggressive attitude have pushed me to consider taking my business elsewhere. Other people in town share similar negative views. Aaron's, a nearby competitor, offers friendlier service. If Rent-A-Center doesn't resolve these issues, I will have no choice but to seek legal advice.

I'm having an issue with the Rent-A-Center store on 71st Place in Chicago, Illinois. I contacted customer service after getting injured at work to discuss my payment options and was told I had insurance coverage for this situation. However, despite assurances that the store manager would contact me within 48 hours, they did not reach out until a week later. When I received a notice on my door, the store employees were unhelpful and insisted on payment. The interaction escalated, and although I called one employee names, his threat and the ensuing laughter from other staff were unprofessional. Their behavior did not address my needs, and contacting customer service over the weekend was not possible. I value my positive history with Rent-A-Center and hope to resolve this situation respectfully.
