I was unable to get assistance from RCA/Thomson Electronics for my issue. Over the long weekend, I sought help from a friend who successfully resolved the problem for me. The problem I encountered involved my RCA television with a built-in DVD player. When trying to switch from the DVD mode to the TV mode, the TV background remained black instead of showing the TV channels. Despite selecting TV and pressing ok, the screen did not change from the DVD blue background to the usual TV black screen. If anyone has suggestions to help address this issue, I would greatly appreciate it.

I am the owner of a RCA W1013DK 2-in-1 tablet PC. Some time ago, I encountered issues with warped and distorted audio. I followed advice to update the drivers, which unfortunately led to my tablet being stuck on the black boot screen. Despite numerous attempts to reset the tablet and perform a hard reset, I was unable to resolve the problem. Subsequently, I created a USB drive of the ISO to reinstall Windows 10 on the device, successfully allowing it to boot up with Windows functioning. However, upon switching the display orientation to landscape mode, I discovered that the audio driver was missing and the touchscreen was non-responsive, with no drivers detected in the device manager. Seeking assistance from Windows, I was advised to update drivers or potentially the BIOS, although as the drivers were missing, this posed a challenge. I was instructed to obtain a BIOS update from the manufacturer, RCA. If this is indeed the solution, I kindly request guidance on how to proceed in rectifying these issues, as I value my tablet and its performance up to now.

I purchased a tablet/DVD headrest player from Walmart for my toddler before embarking on two consecutive trips. She was delighted to watch "Frozen" during car rides in her not-so-favorite car seat. However, I struggled to hear it properly, and having a remote would have been convenient. I had to stop multiple times when she seemed unhappy, assuming I needed to change discs. This only led to more frustration. I had to put it away. I am considering returning or exchanging it for a product that aligns better with my original intention of creating a peaceful car environment. Walmart recommended contacting RCA since it was past the 14-day return window. This caught me off guard as I was unaware of any deadline. I am now contemplating using it indoors. Despite wanting to avoid complications due to a busy schedule pursuing my degree, I encountered issues with the volume fluctuating during my daughter's favorite show amidst Hurricane Barry. The sound level keeps going up and down, which is unpleasant. I hope we can find a solution to this matter. I have the receipt and box. Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I purchased an RCA digital TV converter + recorder less than a year ago, model [redacted] - DTH [redacted] W O 1/4, and the remote suddenly stopped working. I initially thought it could be a battery issue, so I replaced it. However, the remote is still not functioning. I believe the device should be under warranty as similar products from RCA have lasted me for years without any issues. My small RCA Android tablet is typing the wrong keys, preventing me from accessing Facebook, email, or any other apps. It was working fine yesterday. I need help restoring my tablet to its normal operations. My cell phone is also experiencing issues by setting up a different security pattern, locking me out of Facebook and settings but letting me use Google app. I have searched for solutions for 5 days with no luck, so I can only provide my phone number: [redacted]. I have reached out several times about my issue with RCA products. The advertisement states that assistance should be free, which is reasonable since these are your products. However, I am being directed to another company and asked to pay for the service after spending over an hour explaining my problem repeatedly. I suspect my messages were not read thoroughly, possibly by a computer rather than a person. Despite explaining that I cannot access my email, I am being asked for it. Sending solutions via email will not help me since I cannot unblock it. I cannot afford to pay for help, especially when I doubt the other company will be of any assistance. I am extremely disappointed and frustrated with the RCA product support I have received. This experience has led me to decide to avoid your products in the future.

I returned my tablet for warranty repair on 29 May 19 with the expectation of receiving it back within 3-4 weeks. However, it has been 8 weeks now, and despite numerous calls, the communication has been poor. Each time I call, I am told the tablet will be shipped to me within 2-3 business days, but I never receive a tracking number. Finally, after speaking to a supervisor who promised to investigate, I was informed today that they just need to confirm my mailing address to send the tablet back. When I called to provide the address, the representative claimed I should have received the tablet already since it's well past the expected timeframe. Frustrated by the lack of understanding and assistance, I was directed to write a complaint on the RCA forum. This experience has been unacceptable, and I am considering contacting the Better Business Bureau and Walmart Canada if not resolved promptly.

I purchased a Thomson HD LED TV, B9 series, 40 inches, on March 11, [redacted]. It stopped working in July [redacted] within the warranty period. I contacted Thomson Customer Care in India on August 1st. A technician visited on August 4th and advised to replace the board, which was done. Later, another technician came on September 3rd, mentioning that the panel board needed replacement. Despite my reminders, there were delays. Finally, on September 3rd, it was mentioned that the panel display was broken, which they said was not covered under warranty, asking for 80% of the invoice amount for repair. This situation has been frustrating as initially only the board replacement was suggested on August 4th, and then on August 17th, the panel had to be changed too. I believe the mishandling of the TV occurred during the technician's visit on August 17th. I own an RCA 5-disc home stereo system. Unfortunately, the AM/FM feature has never worked, and the disk changer stopped functioning just a week after purchase. I purchased a tablet online from Walmart. I used it only a few times before it stopped turning on altogether. I attempted multiple times to troubleshoot it without success. When I tried to return it at the Walmart Customer Service in Orangevale, CA, I was informed that electronic products cannot be returned after 15 days. This is contrary to what Walmart's policy states about most items being returnable within 90 days. I am now stuck with a nonfunctional tablet and unsure how to proceed to receive a replacement or a refund.

Unfortunately, on November 3, [redacted], the TV's display stopped working, leaving the screen completely black. After contacting Thomson's customer care via email, it took a few days for someone to respond. Following multiple calls to customer care, I was finally able to register a complaint and obtain service center details. A technician came to my home, took photos, and assured me the TV would be replaced after submitting a report. Despite follow-up calls, progress on the replacement was slow. Even after 25 days and sending updates, a new complaint had to be filed. Another technician visited, confirmed the issue, and said the replacement approval was pending. However, to my surprise, customer care claimed the complaint was closed due to my alleged unavailability even though the technician had visited. After an argument, they agreed to reopen the complaint. To my dismay, I received an email instructing me to start the process anew. I am unwilling to repeat the steps and simply request a prompt replacement of my TV before the warranty expires next month.

I recently purchased an RCA Roku TV and was informed by Roku tech support that in order to activate it, there is a choice between a 5-year plan for $79.99 or a lifetime plan for $[redacted].99. If the fee is not paid, the support team mentioned that the TV's software will shut down, rendering it unusable even with regular cable, satellite, or other TV services. I chose this TV due to a sale and my trust in the RCA brand. I feel disappointed by this requirement and perceive it as a scam, considering I am not interested in the software aspect. I wanted to share that Roku has integrated their software into some televisions, and by the end of the year, they plan to provide an error code along with a phone number for TV activation. This process may require a fee such as $79.99 for 5 years or $[redacted].99 for a lifetime service in American funds (though I reside in Canada). Disappointed with this, I have decided to return my RCA Roku TV to the store where I bought it. I will not be purchasing another one and will caution others I know against doing so as well. Additionally, I encountered challenges with the telephone service as I waited for over 2 hours to speak with a representative before eventually hanging up due to frustration.

I attempted to adjust my television to watch movies on my DVD player. Mistakenly, I pressed the menu button and changed the TV caption setting from 4 to 3. Now, I am stuck with a black and white shaking screen and am unable to access the menu or any functions using the remote except for turning the RCA box on and off. This means I cannot switch back to the previous setting or view my channels.

I recently purchased an RCA Galileo 11.5 tablet for my husband, whose vision is nearly impaired. The tablet's colors make it challenging for him to see things clearly, despite my attempts to adjust the font size, display size, and enabling features like color correction and inversion. I recently purchased one of your motion-activated cordless lights with the intention of using it on my porch front metal post. Unfortunately, the light keeps falling out, even after attempting to secure it in place. It fell into the snow below the post, and despite using Gorilla tape, it continues to detach whenever I try to adjust it. This design flaw is disappointing, especially since I had hoped it would provide much-needed illumination in our dark neighborhood. Ultimately, I find this product to be poorly designed and a waste of money.

Sometimes when I turn on my Viking 10 tablet with the keyboard and try to watch a video on Netflix, YouTube, Hulu, or play a game, it shuts down after a few seconds.
