I have been using Plenty of Fish for a while now, but I have yet to meet anyone in person. I've only had a few conversations with real individuals. It seems like there are an abundance of fake accounts on POF, and it's becoming a problem. I believe I can assist in identifying and reporting these fake profiles due to my experience. The fake accounts usually reveal themselves through various details like their age, location, and overly eager requests to meet up and share photos. There is an individual claiming to be French who recently moved to the UK and scammed me. Despite my own error in trusting him, I have taken measures by reporting approximately six of his fraudulent profiles to the authorities. It seems he creates new profiles with different names and photos each time, possibly using various email addresses. It is distressing to keep encountering his deceitful profiles and I fear for other vulnerable individuals falling victim to his schemes. I have reported him to the police, action fraud, and my bank but he persists. I want to prevent him from defrauding other women who, like myself, were simply seeking love.

Hello, my name is Doris Sloan and my username on the site is "outdoor woman 99" or "[redacted]." I have discovered that I have been charged $19.99 each month since June [redacted]. I do not recall providing my information or receiving any renewal notices. Recently, a person claiming to help remove me from the site requested my password, which I did not provide. I was unaware of the monthly charges as no notifications were received regarding it. Given that I am on disability with limited income, paying for a dating site subscription is not something I would willingly do. I suspect the individual may have accessed my phone to obtain my details since I was never prompted to enter credit card information, only my email and username.
