I recently encountered an issue online after winning a game where someone claims to have hacked my account and obtained my credit card information. They threatened to sell my account's access on a hacking platform called "lizard squad." They mentioned that the more in-game achievements and unlockable content I had, the more valuable my account would be. Despite reporting this, it seems that only the messages were deleted. Subsequently, there have been unauthorized transactions from my bank account used to make purchases in Black Ops. I have removed my credit cards from the account to prevent further misuse, but I am unsure about recovering the lost money and if I am eligible for a refund. I have reached out to my bank, which advised me to contact PlayStation first. Thank you.

My son has been experiencing repeated shut-offs on his PlayStation 4 when trying to play games. Despite checking for dust and power supply, and even performing a system update, the issue persists. I purchased this system brand new for him less than a month ago. After ruling out any issues on our end, I believe the problem lies with the software. Instead of sending it to Sony and incurring additional costs, I am seeking guidance on resolving this software-related issue. I am frustrated that a $[redacted] system is not functioning as expected, and I hope to have it fixed promptly for my son's enjoyment. Thank you in advance for your help.

My PS4 is prompting me to install update 6.02, but after downloading versions 6.20 and 6.50 from the website, I still encounter issues. When I turn on the system, it requests the dualshock to be connected via cable, then to press the PS button. Subsequently, it directs me to the website for the 'update file for reinstallation for version 6.02 or later'. Despite following these steps with a USB inserted, it reads 'Cannot find the update file. (SU-[redacted]-3)'. I am unable to locate this error code in your list. Can you assist me in resolving this matter, please?

I encountered a player known as vcheer in a game and party. They used third-party manipulation to boot my account offline and disrupt my internet. Despite never having reported a player before, the danger this individual poses to casual gamers was evident when I overheard them admitting to the act. Although I couldn't record the gameplay due to my PlayStation shutting down, multiple party members can confirm his actions. Not only is it unlawful, but it also violates your Terms of Service. I urge the appropriate authorities to address this player's behavior urgently. I possess evidence, including messages from others who heard the player boast about similar incidents. As I am unable to take action myself, I am seeking your assistance in handling this matter promptly considering the seriousness of the offense, which has, reportedly, occurred on multiple occasions.

Someone has fraudulently used my credit cards to buy items from the PlayStation Store, affecting two of my credit cards. They have also hacked into my son's account. This situation has occurred before, and I am frustrated because I am continually having to cancel and replace my cards. I am receiving notifications from my credit companies about the fraudulent charges. Additionally, my son's account was banned for an issue that is not his fault. I request reimbursement for the fraudulent charges on my accounts.

My Playstation won't update. I've tried downloading the update onto a new flash drive, but it's still not working. I've spent nearly $[redacted] on this game, including memberships, accessories, and games. Since I bought the game in February [redacted], it has been a waste of money. The network is incredibly slow. I've been trying to contact someone for three days to help me update the game, but I haven't received any assistance. The game won't even start without this faulty "update." I need someone to respond to me before the night is over.

Story: Recently, my family member used my PS4 to play Overwatch. While I was away, my brother called for help as he got signed out of my account. I advised them to go home and turned off the console. Later, when I tried to play again, I discovered that my account was signed out and now locked, needing a password reset. Unfortunately, I can't remember the old email associated with the account, which was created around 2[redacted].
I need to reset the password but can't access the email sent for verification. I'd appreciate it if the account lockout could be removed as there was no malicious intent, just a family member attempting to access it. For any correspondence, please use my new email at [redacted]

I have two PS4 consoles, one for myself and one for my husband, and we are planning to move to a rural area. Despite our efforts, the only internet options available seem to be Satellite (which has latency issues for gaming) or 4G LTE with data caps or throttling after reaching a certain limit. Our concern is the large updates and patches for games due to their file sizes. We prefer to play online, which typically doesn't use much bandwidth, but updates could be problematic. We are wondering if there is a way to manually update our games, perhaps by downloading files at a free hotspot in the city and transferring them via USB. Thank you for any advice you can provide.

I purchased a used PlayStation 4 from a pawn shop and it came with an existing account. Unaware that online gameplay required a subscription fee, I created my own account. My girlfriend used her credit card to buy a movie and a game, but the system kept charging her card. After signing up for the 7-day free trial of PlayStation Plus, it continued to charge her card once the trial ended. I suspect the original owner might also be experiencing charges unknowingly. Despite having internet at home, the charges persist even when the console is inactive. I believe it is important to inform the previous owner to address this issue promptly.

I am having trouble logging into my PSN account due to needing to update the two-step verification phone number. My mother, whose maiden name is Michelle Hayes, originally set up the account for me, Lenny Elmer. She recently changed her phone number from [redacted]1 to [redacted]2. Unfortunately, she used her information, including her birthdate of May 30, [redacted], which is different from mine (May 5, [redacted]), to create the account and did paperless billing, making it hard to prove ownership. I have £14.99 in my PSN wallet and she also purchased Fortnite Save the World on the account. Is there a way to help me regain access to my games? My address is 2 Ruskin Road, Belvedere, Kent, DA175BB. Thank you for your assistance.

My nine-year-old son somehow spent £[redacted].93 from my bank account in November and December [redacted]. He claimed a game he was playing offered V-bucks and he had to click on something. Because it was over Christmas, I didn't notice initially. When I realized, I checked my bank statement and found multiple unfamiliar charges. After some effort, I tracked down the merchant's contact information. The transactions are as follows:
- 15 Nov [redacted]: £3.99, £7.99, £7.99
- 17 Dec [redacted]: £17.00, £32.99, £19.99, £19.99
- 27 Dec [redacted]: £24.99, £29.99, £6.99
Discovering this was very disappointing. I've removed my bank card, and my eldest son, who understands technology better than I do, has taken over. Apart from Sega or PlayStation 1 and 2, today's technology is beyond me. I don't know what V-bucks are, but it's concerning that a child could spend so much by just clicking a button. He won't be using my card details to open a PlayStation online account again.
Yours sincerely,
Mrs. J. Crossland.

I recently received a 7-day suspension that I find unjust. I am frustrated because it hinders my ability to engage with the platform. Following a disagreement where my messages were reported, I was suspended, while the other party was not penalized despite similar behavior. I believe this is unfair as PlayStation appears to overlook the context of incidents, only focusing on reported messages. This is not the first instance of this occurring, and I know many others have faced similar situations that have been disregarded by PSN. I am considering switching to Xbox due to these recurring issues. I am seeking assistance to have my suspension lifted promptly.

I am having trouble accessing my PlayStation account. When I attempt to log in and reset my password, the system does not recognize my security question or date of birth. After multiple failed attempts, I receive a message stating that I tried too many times or need to reset my password.

I have already explained my issue. I contacted PlayStation support regarding two-step verification. I followed all their instructions, such as explaining why I don't have my old phone number and the serial code to my console. When I created my account, I did it hastily and did not consider the consequences. I got a new phone with a new number due to a contract change and no longer have access to my old number or remember it. I also moved recently and have no documents with my old number. Changing my password caused issues with the verification process because I can't access any backup codes. I am currently paying for PlayStation Plus but can't access my account. I can confirm the bank account and debit card linked to it. If you can't help me access my account, please at least stop the membership payments until this is resolved. I have been a loyal customer for a long time and hope for a prompt resolution.

I recently purchased the Bloodborne DLC last week during the PSN spring sale event and I am experiencing two major issues. Firstly, the DLC is not working correctly as I have completed all the requirements to obtain the "Eye of the Blood-Drunk Hunter" item, but it is not spawning. I have tried various troubleshooting steps like restoring licenses and ensuring the DLC is connected to my region, even uploading my save data to the cloud before deleting the game entirely from my console. However, these attempts have yielded no results.
Secondly, I am unable to recover my file from the cloud as it prompts me to start a new game. Despite following online suggestions to reach the first lamp in the dream hub area before exiting the game, my file seems to have disappeared. Although the PS+ shows the file is present for download, it is not appearing in the game.
My PSN account is knightfury187, and my name is Romario Sanon.

I recently experienced an issue with my Playstation PSN account. I received an email indicating that my PSN sign-in ID was altered without my knowledge. My original email linked to the account is [redacted] I am uncertain about the nature of the alteration or who initiated it. My console is the Playstation 4. I am requesting assistance in reverting the sign-in ID back to [redacted] and regaining access to my account by enabling a password reset.

Hello, my name is Michael Swindale. My account, Ocelot-da-plague, was suspended for 7 days due to using bad language. I acknowledge my mistake, but I want to address that I believe I'm being targeted, harassed, and cyberbullied. I logged back on at 5:30 PM yesterday, and the suspension occurred at 5:25 PM last week. However, I was then suspended at 5:40 PM for 1 month for previous actions that I did not engage in. I feel this targeting is unfair and unjust. I'm concerned that once the month is up, the same thing will happen again. I am seeking protection and request for any prior messages or uploads that are causing me trouble to be removed from my account. I would like for someone to review my case for 10 minutes. I was online during the time of the supposed violation, and I did not breach any code of conduct. This suspension is not warranted and I need assistance in resolving this issue promptly. Thank you.

Hello, I have been using PSN for a long time, playing regularly. Recently, I have noticed users being reported for reasons that do not align with the intended use of the report feature. This concerns me as I fear I could also be reported for minor issues. How can we ensure that reports are legitimate? For instance, after defeating someone in Brawlhalla, I messaged them offering help to improve. However, before I could send the message, they informed me they reported me for harassment. This worries me as any interaction could be misconstrued as harassment on PSN, even when trying to be helpful.

I recently received an email from Epic Games notifying me about the termination of my account. I was given a reference number [redacted] due to my son accessing my GTA account without authorization and spending a significant amount of money. He is autistic, has ADHD, and faces many challenges. I have invested thousands of dollars in these games over the years, and I am concerned about losing all my progress. The account was originally set up by my ex-partner, with whom I have a history of domestic violence. Despite this, the account and its contents belong to me, not him. I only allow my son to use the account for kid-friendly activities like Netflix and YouTube. I would greatly appreciate it if my account could be restored to its previous state with all my purchased items and levels intact. It is disheartening to potentially lose everything due to my son's unintentional actions. I urge Epic Games to address this matter promptly.
