Hello,
I encountered a payment issue and need your assistance. My agreement number is 5[redacted]6 and the card number used is 6[redacted] 0[redacted] 68.
Here's my situation: I reside in Florida and my husband and I purchased two memberships for full club access while traveling. We intended to pay in cash upon receiving the cards, but were informed by the receptionist that payment had to be made the following day. Despite my preference for immediate cash payment, we were told the amount would be charged to the card.
We utilized the club services for approximately a month. Due to card troubles and ordering a new one, the payment was never processed, and it has now been over two months. Upon visiting a Florida club, I was redirected to the original club of membership for resolution, which is inconveniently far away. Contacting them by phone has been unfruitful, with promises of a payment letter unfulfilled.
I am keen on settling the outstanding payment for the excellent service provided throughout the year. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated. Merry Christmas!
Best regards,
Elizabeth Alekseeva

I am curious about the dress code at the gym. I have been a member of Planet Fitness in Clovis, New Mexico, for some time and have observed women wearing sports bras and yoga pants. Can you confirm if this attire is allowed? Additionally, I heard that men cannot wear cut-off tank tops - is this accurate? I tried to speak with an employee regarding this matter, but he seemed preoccupied filming an Instagram video of a woman in a sports bra and yoga pants taking pictures of herself in the mirrors. His lack of assistance left me disappointed. As I left, I overheard an employee named Isaiah interacting with a woman named Tiffany. I hope this behavior does not continue, or I may need to consider switching gyms.

I am frustrated. I woke up at 4 am and drove to the gym, only to find it closed. There was no notice about the closure, and even the Facebook page indicated normal hours. Another regular member arrived at the same time, mentioning emails were sent regarding the closure, which neither of us received. I understand if they needed to close, but it should have been communicated better, possibly with a sign on the door beforehand. I frequent the PF Etters location, although it's not the closest to me, as I prefer it over Gold's Gym. Being a black card member, I believe I should be informed of any changes. How can I find out the hours for next week? According to Facebook, they are closing early on Tuesday and reopening at 7 am on Wednesday. I have young children, and the early morning is my only opportunity to work out. I'm upset because I could have slept longer rather than driving to a closed gym.

Since my mom was in a car accident in May and became disabled, I visited the gym in June to submit a cancellation letter on her behalf. I even recorded my conversation with the receptionist. However, they have been deducting $43 from her account since July, which is causing financial strain as she is on a fixed income. This morning, yet another $43 was withdrawn. My mom hasn't been able to use the gym since May due to her disability, so we urgently need the money returned. We followed the proper procedure by submitting the cancellation letter in June, which I have proof of on camera recording. Your assistance in resolving this issue would be greatly appreciated.

I haven't had an account with Planet Fitness in over a year. This morning, after Christmas, when finances are tight, I noticed they charged me $40, which almost led to an overdraft. I am upset about the unauthorized charge and want my money refunded immediately. I also question why they still have my bank account information a year later, despite me cancelling my account and requesting no further charges. I want the charge reversed and my card removed from their records. I visited their location a year ago and made it clear not to charge me. If this issue isn't resolved promptly, I will be reaching out to my attorney.

I used the gym only once, and I found the machines to be dirty with no staff available. I was disappointed and promptly sent a letter to cancel my membership. Despite my written request due to the unclean equipment and lack of access to tanning services or staff availability, automatic withdrawals were attempted from my checking account. I visited in person to cancel after my letter was ignored, but the staff declined. Now, I have sought legal advice, and if my membership is not canceled, and a refund not issued, further action will be taken. I stand by my decision to cancel after experiencing your substandard facility. I demand a refund promptly. This communication serves as my formal notification of the unsanitary conditions and my request for a refund following the ignored cancellation request I sent and the in-person denial of cancellation.

I was gifted a membership by my dad for Christmas, but it's for a location that is not open yet. I visited another branch, but they couldn't help me. They informed me that I could only sign up once the new branch opens in March. However, I prefer not to wait that long. I would like my membership information to be transferred to the branch that is currently open so I can start working out before March 2nd.

Hello, I am feeling quite frustrated with the situation. I have canceled my membership with you (Ref no. PF[redacted]), yet you are still deducting from my account. I have already visited the Newcastle branch twice regarding this matter. It is incredibly irritating to have to discuss the same issue multiple times, especially when it seems like I am talking to unresponsive individuals. This ongoing problem needs to be resolved promptly. Thank you.

I have not visited a site and do not have a membership. However, I am being billed as I can't access my account. I think my location is in Portland, OR, not the SF Bay Area. I attempted to reset my password, but I never received the email. The email on file is the correct one as I have received communications from Planet Fitness previously. I am struggling to reach someone and urgently need to cancel my account. Thank you.

I reached out to the local club at the end of November due to my illness preventing me from using my membership. I was assured it would be handled. However, on December 27th, I was charged $25.73 and then $41.83 five days later. Unfortunately, I couldn't find a customer service number online for assistance with the Springfield Ohio club. I've emailed twice with no reply. I desperately need the December and January charges removed since I haven't been able to visit Planet Fitness because of my health. Please help resolve this issue before another deduction is made from my account. It's been a frustrating process trying to cancel a membership I'm physically incapable of using. Thank you for any assistance.

I visited the NYC location (25 Broadway) to cancel my membership in November [redacted], but was still charged in December. I assumed it was due to a mid-month cancellation. In January [redacted], I was billed $40 for a new year membership without my consent. Despite leaving messages for Victor, who seems to always be in meetings, and visiting the location in person, I have yet to resolve this issue. Even when I called today, Pharaoh was unhelpful and claimed Victor was in a meeting again. The customer service I have encountered is unacceptable, and the reviews I have seen online are negative as well. I even attempted to contact corporate, but was left on hold for 25 minutes. I am frustrated and just want a refund at this point.

I am a member at Washington Square in Chicago. I joined the Black Card Club for the haircuts, but now all the barbers are no longer with Planet Fitness, and they no longer offer that option. I wanted to downgrade to just a regular member, but I was told that I would have to pay $49.99 to downgrade, which I feel is unfair since the service I signed up for is no longer available. I appreciate your feedback as I have now cancelled my membership.

Planet Fitness deducted funds from my account twice this month. I am struggling to find the time to cancel my membership due to my busy work schedule. I have only used the gym once and the process to cancel has been quite troublesome. Additionally, the double deduction led to an overdraft fee as the funds were later returned. I urgently need to cancel my account and receive a refund for this month's charges.

About 30 years ago, my father and stepmother engaged in some form of manipulation, creating a challenging environment for me. Over time, I noticed that I was being recorded without my knowledge. My stepmother seemed to have a habit of causing issues for men in her life, as she once proudly claimed. I've recently encountered a supervisor at Planet Fitness in Boston who appears friendly but has made repeated attempts to provoke me, likely aiming to have me removed from the gym. This individual's actions seem connected to things I said decades ago, taken out of context. Although I strive to avoid conflicts and only use the gym for personal fitness routines, I've been subjected to unwarranted attention. This behavior extends beyond just one location and has even led me to seek therapy. Unfortunately, encounters like the one at Planet Fitness are not isolated incidents in my life. I wanted to share my experience to highlight these ongoing challenges. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Hello, I am writing to address an issue regarding a recent gym membership signup at Planet Fitness. On January 16, [redacted], I enrolled in a black card membership and noticed that I did not receive the complimentary T-shirt that was advertised online for new members signing up. Despite the promotion stating a free T-shirt with membership, I am disappointed that it was not provided. I kindly request to receive the promised T-shirt as advertised by Planet Fitness. It is disheartening to encounter this discrepancy between the advertised promotion and the actual service received. I would appreciate it if a size small and medium T-shirt could be sent to me to make up for this inconvenience. Thank you for looking into this matter and addressing the false promotion of the free T-shirt. Sincerely, A.G.

Hello,
I recently visited your gym in McHenry, IL, and spoke with a manager named Jay Hawk. I inquired about trying out the gym and was informed there was a $20.00 charge for a guest pass. Jay mentioned that the guest pass would be valid for 30 days or until Feb 13th. He also stated that if I decided to become a member, the $20.00 charge would be applied towards my first month's membership fee on Feb 13th. However, when I visited the gym today, Jay denied making these statements and insisted that he had only mentioned one visit. I believe this miscommunication was unfair and resembles bait-and-switch tactics. As a representative of your company, I hope Jay understands the importance of transparent communication. Please advise on how to resolve this matter positively.
Thank you,
Tony C.

I successfully signed up for a membership online at the Arden, NC club today, on MLK Day. Although I created an account with the username "[redacted]" and a password, I am unable to log in. I verified the username with my local club and requested help online to reset my password, but the email with the password reset link was never received. I attempted this process a few times without success and also tried contacting corporate without reaching a live person. I need guidance on how to properly set up my account.

I have been a member of Planet Fitness since [redacted]. I have not been able to go to the gym due to ongoing health issues, but I am still being charged $21.99 monthly. On 01/23/[redacted], I went to the Lakewood, NY location, scanned my card, and was told by the customer service representative, Steve, that I owe a late fee from August [redacted]. Steve mentioned that my account doesn't have the correct billing information and needed to be fixed before I could work out. Despite explaining that my bank account is charged monthly, Steve insisted my billing information was incorrect. Feeling frustrated and embarrassed in a busy club environment, I discovered I had an unnoticed late fee on my account for over a year. The late fee stemmed from an employee's error in inputting my details when I joined the gym. Disappointed and unhappy, I left the club and am considering canceling my membership.

Hello, my name is Elvia O. I would like to cancel my gym membership. I was charged a $15 late fee unfairly due to a payment issue. The company did not clearly communicate the charges, such as a $42 annual fee, which were unexpected. When I signed up on December 31st, I was informed that my first month would be free until February. However, I was not informed about the additional fees. I am disappointed with this experience as a new member and would like to cancel my membership.

I recently canceled my Planet Fitness membership as I was moving locations, and it was only active for a month. During the cancellation process at the Riverdale, GA location, I repeatedly asked the female representative if there were any forms to fill out, to ensure it wouldn't affect my membership status when I relocate. Despite confirming with her that I didn't need to do anything further, I now see a $[redacted] charge on my account. My fiancé and niece were with me as witnesses during the cancellation and can attest to my inquiries. I'm in McDonough, GA now and need this issue resolved promptly so I can continue my membership for health reasons. I'm dealing with diabetes and need to stay active. I'm very distressed by this situation, and I hope for a swift resolution. Thank you for your assistance.
