I am writing to kindly request that PayPal release the hold on my funds or account. I have chosen to move my business to a competitor but find the [redacted]-day holding period excessive. If my request is not addressed to my satisfaction, I plan to submit complaints to various agencies on May 22, [redacted]. These include the California Office of the Attorney General, the Kansas Office of the Attorney General, Rues Law Firm, the United States Federal Reserve, and the Better Business Bureau. I acknowledge PayPal's need to hold funds for chargeback purposes and am willing to leave a $[redacted] balance for this reason for the [redacted] days. Simply referring to the terms of service I agreed to will not resolve this matter. I trust that these agencies will ensure fair treatment and compliance with the law.

I have been instructed to speak with compliance regarding my Canadian business account for a Panama-based business. Despite multiple attempts over the past three weeks to contact "Michael" and sending emails to the compliance department, I have not been able to connect with anyone. Each time I reach out to customer service, I receive conflicting information. I am frustrated with the lack of assistance in filling out the necessary information correctly through the provided drop-down boxes with no alternative options. Despite my efforts, I have not received any replies to my emails or phone calls, and I have even experienced disconnections without a callback. I am seeking help from an informed individual in the compliance department to resolve this matter promptly.

Hello, I am having trouble accessing my PayPal account as it is requesting an outdated phone number for verification via call or text. I have relocated overseas, and my old number is no longer valid. I was advised to call for assistance, but international fees are a concern given my current financial situation in the new country. Could we find a resolution via email to address security concerns? I am willing to provide any necessary information for verification. I have not used my PayPal account frequently and recall my last login around August [redacted]. The most recent transaction involved a withdrawal of approximately $25, and my account balance seldom exceeds $[redacted]. Presently, I am awaiting a $[redacted].54 deposit from italki. I have been waiting for almost an hour to speak with a Paypal agent now! The customer service at Paypal is terrible. While I am on hold endlessly, I would like to share my complaint with you. I am aware that I may never connect with an agent and this feels like a deliberate tactic to frustrate me and make me hang up. I am extremely disappointed and shocked at this unacceptable level of service. My call was answered by someone in the Philippines who informed me that I hadn't submitted all the required information, and now they are asking for my SIN. I have never been so upset with the lack of service, clarity, and customer care. I am appalled by the behavior of a company like yours. This is outrageous. Dear Paypal, I am completely baffled. After sending my marriage certificate and then being told the information was incomplete, and asked for my driver's license which I also submitted, I received a response asking for the original information - the marriage certificate. Why am I being asked for the same thing I initially sent in? Please update my name from Lehmann to Kelly as requested, especially after submitting all the required ID. I fear I will now be asked to send in my driver's license. This situation is frustrating, and I'm alarmed that my name change is not being processed despite providing all the necessary ID. Good afternoon. I am currently helping a customer link her Wells Fargo Bank account to her Paypal account for receiving payments. I possess both the routing number and the account number, but when inputting them on the Paypal website, an error message appears stating "We're sorry. We're not able to process your request right now. Please try again later." While it recognizes the bank, we are unable to proceed. We have been attempting to add this account for nearly three weeks. Any assistance would be welcomed. The email provided is not my customer's email, as she prefers I handle the communication due to feeling uncertain about this situation.

I tried to email pictures of a misrepresented item I bought from Bison Office. It was advertised as wood but arrived as metal. Despite a partial refund, I am unsatisfied with the rusting product after two months. The manufacturer initially offered replacements but reneged later. I have pictures and documents to send you but struggle with the two email addresses. I store the pictures on my iPhone and need help sending them.

I have attempted three times to unsubscribe from marketing communications without success. I do not wish to create an account or set up a password. Please assist in unsubscribing/canceling any future contact. Recently, I reached out to PayPal over the phone for assistance. Unfortunately, the representative was unhelpful and discourteous. After being kept on hold for 45 minutes without resolution, I decided to end the call. I have marked the emails as spam in Gmail and will continue to do so. I believe companies like PayPal should obtain explicit consent before adding personal information to their marketing lists. Their unsubscribe process is ineffective, and I am looking forward to the day when the U.S. implements privacy laws to prevent this kind of intrusion. I have decided to no longer use PayPal, even for guest transactions.

I am assisting a client in Sweden, Christer N., with connecting his e-commerce shop powered by WordPress and Woocommerce to his PayPal account. We are facing an issue during the "Fast Security Check" step where the phone number listed is incorrect, preventing us from receiving the confirmation code. The correct phone number is: +[redacted]5. We have attempted to resolve the problem by contacting Swedish customer service to update the phone number on the account, without success. Additionally, the attempt to add me (Marc U., [redacted], Username: MarcUnter) to the PayPal account was unsuccessful as the main contact is required to complete the process. I have contacted German PayPal support, but they are unable to assist with Swedish accounts. Trying to reach the Swedish hotline has been challenging due to the language barrier. I received an email from PayPal informing me that my account was restricted, but I missed the email. The issue arose when I purchased Broadway show tickets for nine people for Mother's Day. I typically rely on my American Express for significant purchases, but this time I used my LL Bean's Mastercard linked to PayPal. LL Bean's Mastercard flagged the large payment as potentially fraudulent, leading to the charge being declined. I subsequently used my AmEx card to complete the transaction. Upon contacting LL Bean's Mastercard, I was informed of the issue. I've learned to notify them in advance for such transactions or use my AmEx for larger amounts. Despite this incident, I appreciate PayPal's convenience and security and hope to continue using it in the future.

I am unable to confirm anything because I cannot log in! Since Friday, May 17, [redacted], I have been trying to reach PayPal! This has been an ongoing issue! I call and after 2.30 minutes, many many times, I get the message that all representatives are busy… and then the call gets disconnected??? I also tried today as a guest! FAILED!! I sent an email on Friday… no reply??? It is impossible to reach you!!! My email address needs to be updated because my old email address – [redacted] – NO LONGER EXISTS for over a year now. My bank account has changed to NL88RBRB[redacted] !!!!!!! My credit card has been updated which I believe is already registered. I was told to call back after 48 hours!!!!!!!!!!!!!! which seems impossible! They said someone would go through all the details with me to make the necessary changes! I really hope for a response now to get this sorted out! You are very difficult, if not entirely impossible to reach!!!! Today, May 21, [redacted], I managed to get through!! On May 9th, I placed an online order with H&M UK Ltd for £16.99. Although I attempted to complete the order, there was an error on the H&M site, and the order did not go through. I have not received any goods, and I will not be charged for this transaction. Despite trying to resolve this through the online resolution center, the pending charge remains on my account, preventing me from removing my bank details or closing my PayPal account. I kindly request this pending transaction to be removed promptly. Thank you.

I am experiencing difficulty accessing my account due to being unable to retrieve the necessary email verification. Despite supplying my credit card number for security, I am unable to proceed as it requires additional verification through email, which I cannot access. I recently placed a deposit on a used fashion truck. The $1,[redacted] deposit was given under the impression that it was refundable, with the seller indicating it was to secure the vehicle. Using PayPal for payment to ensure protection, I sent a mechanic in my place to inspect and drive the truck back. Upon inspection, the vehicle's condition did not match the advertised photos. The mechanic discovered issues including a dry rotted tire, difficulties with the oil dipstick, overheating, and discrepancies with the radiator. Additionally, the hydraulic doors, radio, driver's seat adjustment, and handrails were all found to be faulty. Various items were improperly secured underneath the truck. This was not what I had anticipated based on the advertisement.

I informed PayPal that the seller sent me additional merchandise despite my repeated requests not to do so. Initially, I purchased bras for $49.57 and initiated a Resolution through PayPal due to non-receipt and incorrect item received. Unfortunately, PayPal closed the Resolution prematurely before I could report the seller's error. Despite my explicit instructions, the seller insisted on sending more items to halt the Resolution. I refused and demanded a full refund with a Return Authorization, which the seller ignored. After returning all items at my expense, the seller refused to refund my money. A subsequent Resolution with PayPal yielded no assistance, leaving me frustrated and ultimately leading to me closing my PayPal account. The seller's actions, combined with PayPal's lack of intervention, have shattered my trust in the system. My regular bank has shown more support with online purchases, prompting me to switch back to them for future transactions. The baffling situation of the seller withholding my $49.57, despite having the items and funds, is illogical. I have documented all interactions with the seller and can provide evidence if needed.

I've been receiving funds in my PayPal account from a third party, but I'm unable to withdraw the money. The site is indicating that my account isn't confirmed. I can access it through a link in the email I received at [redacted], but when I try to use the same password elsewhere online, it doesn't work. I used to live in America, so I have a Social Security number, but I don't have a current address in Africa, where I now reside in Cameron. I'm unable to transfer the $[redacted] in my account to my local bank or send it to my brother-in-law. Although I have all the necessary account information and passwords, I need to speak with someone urgently for assistance. Please help me resolve this issue.

Upon reading the email about an hour later, I attempted to reset the password only to be informed that the account associated with this email did not exist. I contacted customer service multiple times as my bank account is linked to my PayPal account, causing me great concern. Eventually, I was instructed to send proof of identity to the fax number [redacted] and was told that I would receive a response within 48 to 72 hours. Despite sending the fax promptly, I have not yet received a reply. Due to the lack of assistance from PayPal, I had to block all transactions from my bank account, incurring a cost of $31. Additionally, my interactions with customer service were unsatisfactory, with one representative appearing condescending during our call. If I am unable to access my account, I request assurance that my bank account details are secure. My email address [redacted] has been active since [redacted], and the associated phone number is [redacted]. This email is also linked to my eBay account and various Apple services. The most recent valid transaction on my account was a payment to [redacted] with transaction ID 49L68072D[redacted]4. Any subsequent transactions made without my access are fraudulent. We recently closed our PayPal account and will no longer be using or recommending their services. PayPal caused significant issues for our business by withholding funds from customers, making it impossible for us to fulfill orders promptly. The 21-day hold on funds put us in a challenging and embarrassing situation. In addition, being charged fees and experiencing unhelpful customer service only added to our disappointment. Overall, our experience with PayPal was negative, and we wasted valuable time trying to resolve issues with their unprofessional customer service team.
