I need assistance with a tree branch from my neighbor's tree that is touching the electrical wires at my house. Due to my age and disability, I cannot remove it safely. I was advised to reach out to Oncor for help. Can Oncor address this branch issue for me?

While in the garage with the door open, I heard a loud noise coming from the direction of the high-power lines in our neighborhood. After noticing the power outage, I attempted to contact Oncor through their automated reporting line and customer service line but was unable to speak to a live person on Saturday, July 21, [redacted], at 13:30. I believe sharing what I heard with the power workers could help them locate and fix the issue more quickly, especially since our AC is not working on a hot day. Unfortunately, I'm unable to receive emails until the power is restored.

Earlier today at around 10 a.m., I got in touch with Tri-Egale Electric Company to set up new service at my new address, [redacted] Bennett Lawson Road, Mansfield, TX [redacted]. My name is Jennifer Slider, and my new account number/order number is #[redacted]. Around 11:45 a.m. to 12 p.m., an Oncor technician came by to handle the work order outside with the meter. After speaking with him briefly, he assured me everything was okay. However, a couple of hours passed, and there was still no electricity. Concerned about my sick child, I contacted the number provided by Tri-Egale, which connected me to Oncor. A representative informed me that the service technician had completed the work order, and I should expect electricity between 2 p.m. and 9 p.m. I hope this gets resolved soon for my child's sake.

I recently switched service providers from First Choice to Direct Energy. After the switch, I received a call from someone who identified themselves as an agent from Direct Energy. The Home Warranty of America contract lists an address at P.O. Box [redacted], Lincolnshire, IL [redacted]. However, the cover page shows another address at P.O. Box [redacted], Tulsa, OK 74[redacted]. The account number provided does not seem to be correct. Your help in resolving this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. - Nelda S.

I am being charged by Oncor for a service they did not provide.
In July, I had significant electrical work completed at my residence. The electrician disconnected the power from the house. Once the work passed inspection, I contacted Oncor to request a permanent reconnection of my electricity. While I anticipated a reconnect fee, I was surprised with an additional disconnect fee. Oncor claimed they disconnected on August 15 and reconnected on August 16. This is incorrect as I never experienced a power loss on August 15. Despite contacting their call center, the disconnect fee remains on my bill. I am seeking assistance from the Customer Relations support team for assistance in resolving this issue.

I'm new to renting and just set up auto-pay for my electricity with Direct Energy. I came home to find my lights out and assumed it was an outage. After contacting Oncor and being prompted to make a payment, I realized it was a billing issue. The representative from Oncor was unhelpful and I found their customer service lacking. My mom and I rely on a breathing machine for our health conditions, and the timeline given for restoration after payment was not accurate. It's been 4 hours since I made the payment, and our power is still not back on. Can someone explain why there seems to be a disconnect between Direct Energy and Oncor in this situation?

I reside near the Oncor easement off MacArthur in Coppell, Texas. The vegetation along our fence has become overgrown, leading to wild animals approaching and irritating my dog, especially at night. I am concerned for the safety of these animals and their habitats but need a solution to prevent them from upsetting my dog and making me feel unsafe going outside alone at night to let my other dog out. I would appreciate if the dead cattails and tall grasses within 10 feet of our fence could be trimmed back, even if neighboring fences remain untouched. Thank you.

I reside at 6 Tanager Court in Mansfield, Texas, ZIP code [redacted]. Recently, I have encountered a significant issue with my electricity usage and have already discussed it with my landlord. Upon inspection, I noticed some wires outside that seem to connect to my neighbor's property, along with other wires that look suspicious. After reaching out to Reliant, my utility provider informed me that my energy consumption is notably higher (56%-67%) compared to similar homes in the area. They suggested contacting Oncor to investigate further. Due to my full-time job, I prefer to be present during their inspection. How can I arrange a suitable appointment time with Oncor to address this issue? My contact number is [redacted]. Thank you.

Wright Tree Service contractors recently pruned trees on Pearlstone Street and Hickory Street. I spoke with a worker who assured me only a minimal amount would be trimmed off my trees on Hickory. However, upon inspection, I discovered they had heavily pruned them. When I inquired about the discrepancy in the pruning measurements, the worker acknowledged that a 7-foot clearance was the standard but estimated they had cut an 11-foot clearance instead. I requested to speak with a supervisor, and the worker claimed one would arrive shortly. Despite waiting for 30 minutes, the supervisor never showed up. This occurred 3 hours ago.

I would like to report a downed power line in the alley behind my yard. The power went out at midnight last night, and the Oncor crew already came out to address the issue. They cut down part of the tree that caused the downed line but left the debris in my yard. Despite being notified that the power should be back on, it's still not working. The estimated time of arrival for the fix is 6:30 PM, which is quite a long time, especially with the ongoing pandemic. I'm concerned as my food is spoiling, and the delay is making it difficult for me to replace it. It would be greatly appreciated if they could return to complete the job sooner or provide an update on the situation. Thank you for your assistance.

I have Pogo Energy. I was out of town with no cell service until around 4 p.m. today. Although I paid my bill at 5 p.m. today and was informed the service would be restored within 2 to 4 hours, it is still off now that I am home. I attempted to report a power outage on Oncor's website, but it shows that my service has not been reinstated. I am unable to reach the service provider as they are closed now. I paid my electricity bill well before their closing time and need to know how to have it reconnected. There are visitors from out of town with me, and it is essential to have the electricity back on tonight. I even made an extra payment to ensure it is recorded on my account, resulting in a credit balance. As these meters are automated, I seek clarification on the delay in the restoration and an estimated timeline for its completion.

I reside at [redacted] Plantation Road, Forest Hill, TX [redacted]. My power went out earlier, causing discomfort due to the cold. It briefly came on for five minutes before shutting off again. I am 66 years old with severe breathing issues, sensitive to extreme temperatures. I have a parrot that serves as my emotional support animal. We have been without power since 7:00 am. It is now 11:33 am. I was told the power would be out for 45 minutes, but it went out at 1:00 am and only came back on at 5:00 am for 4 minutes before going out again. The neighboring blocks have power, but for some reason, my section on Elm St in Denison, TX does not. I am struggling to maintain my reptiles' tank temperatures in the 80s. If my reptiles suffer because of the power situation, I will hold the Oncor company accountable for any damage or loss. I am not concerned about my own comfort, but I cannot regulate the temperature for my reptiles. Their tank is currently at 60 degrees. Please stop the rolling blackout and restore power to my address at [redacted] W Elm, Denison, TX.

I have been without power since 4:00 am. I have not been able to sleep or eat anything warm. I am freezing in my apartment at 49 degrees! Income said they were rolling the blackout for 15-45 minutes but it has been 10 hours for me! I am concerned about my frozen food from Costco defrosting. I have tried calling for updates on the repair time but have had no luck. As someone with existing health issues and a weakened immune system, being exposed to these temperatures is troubling. I hope this situation does not worsen my cold. I expect to be reimbursed for my medications and groceries due to this outage. With my recent hospitalization and ongoing health concerns, this extended power outage is extremely challenging. I desperately need my power back for my well-being. I am disappointed in the lack of communication and resolution from Oncor regarding this issue. Please assist in getting my power restored promptly. Thank you. - A.

I am unwell and taking immunosuppressants for a severe health condition. Despite being careful, I caught a cold while staying indoors where it's a chilly 49°F. This prolonged exposure to cold is risky for me due to my weakened immune system. I cannot afford additional medication costs. The food I stocked up on during quarantine is spoiling as I can't go out frequently. I'm worried about the financial impact and wonder if Oncore will cover the expenses for any new medications needed or the wasted food.
Instead of building a wall, our Governor could have invested in updating and winterizing the power grid, especially since some people can rely on generators. My priority is my health, as I struggle to stay warm despite wearing layers. The promised power restoration times have passed, and I am anxious about my situation. I urge for a solution, an explanation, and most importantly, for my power to be restored promptly.
Sincerely, Antonella.

There is a power pole situated adjacent to my house that is leaning at a potentially hazardous angle. I am concerned about the likelihood of it causing damage. It is imperative to have someone inspect this soon to prevent any potential power outage, damage to my property, and ensure the safety of the area. The address where the pole is located is [redacted] Hyacinth Way, Jarrell, Texas, [redacted]. The pole is right next to the fence, visibly leaning. I appreciate your prompt attention to this matter to avoid any unfortunate incidents in the future. Thank you for your swift action.

I'm only receiving single-phase power at my home for the past 24 hours. This limits me to using only [redacted] volts. When attempting to run a heater, my lights also shut off due to insufficient power. An electrician checked my wiring, and there's only 4 volts when testing both line one and line two together. This problem seems to be on the utility company's end, not mine. After being without power for over 80 hours during the recent freeze, I can't continue dealing with this issue. I need assistance promptly to fix the fuse on the transformer or ensure both wires have power separately. My house should have two-phase power, but currently, I'm stuck with single-phase, making it impossible to perform basic tasks like cooking, laundry, or heating the house. Your immediate help is greatly appreciated.

I currently do not have a credit card. I would like to pay in cash. I'm frustrated as I was told my electric service would be restored yesterday, but now they're saying it won't happen until Monday. My name is Scott Locklear, and I live in Dallas, Texas. I recently left the hospital and have been trying to get my electricity back on for five days without any assistance. Encore representatives keep promising to reconnect my service, but nothing has been done yet. My family and I are suffering in the heat as a result. I'm extremely upset by this situation and urgently need my electricity restored. Thank you for your help in addressing this issue promptly.

I am writing to address a recurring issue regarding your property situated near Sam Houston's high school football stadium. The constant problem of children crossing the field where your transmission lines are located has been ongoing for over a year. The situation has escalated to a point where immediate action is necessary to prevent any accidents. I kindly request the installation of a fence to deter cars from crossing the field, as I have documented this issue in several videos. The problem primarily occurs in the mornings when students arrive at school and at 2:50 PM every weekday. I fear that there is a risk of losing control and potential collisions with your power poles. Additionally, a recent incident led to mud being spread on my vehicle. I can be reached at [redacted]. As a concerned citizen, I urge you to address this matter promptly. Thank you, William Pringle.
