I exchanged my rebuilt CBR600 motorcycle for an incomplete E36 323i with a guy who had removed the interior. He promised to give me the missing parts (side door panels, back seats, intake, limited slip differential) once he registered the bike. However, after I paid for his registration, he delayed and ultimately refused to hand over the parts. To my dismay, he is now trying to resell them on OfferUp despite my payment for them. I possess evidence in the form of OfferUp messages and CashApp screenshots confirming the agreement and transaction. I've made several attempts to report this issue to OfferUp, but they haven't responded.

I responded to an ad for an iPhone 6s Plus 64GB listed by Danny M marking it as unlocked for $[redacted]. Our communication started last night at 10 pm and continued until this morning. We settled to meet between 7 am and 8 am at [redacted] Bammel Westfield Rd, Houston, Texas. Upon arriving, I messaged him, and he emerged at 8:10 am. After a brief exchange, he handed me the phone, and I gave him the $[redacted]. He requested the phone back to remove his password, but surprisingly, he fled with both the phone and money. Shocked and bewildered, I contacted the authorities, and three officers arrived promptly to hear my ordeal. They mentioned similar incidents occurring and advised safer meetings at police stations for future transactions. They also recommended informing OfferUp about the incident.

I paid $15.98 to OfferUp for two items to sell faster, but in the last two days, I haven't received any messages. Someone mentioned that my name might be flagged on OfferUp. I've been a loyal user for a few months without payment issues. I'm 65 years old and always try to treat others with respect. I'm frustrated because some users abuse the system by not negotiating fairly and then reporting sellers like me. I recently encountered a scammer offering a cashier's check, but I declined. His messages disappeared, raising concerns about privacy. I hope OfferUp can improve its screening process to protect honest users like me. I rely on selling items online and this experience has been disheartening. I might consider returning to eBay for a more secure platform. Thank you. Jaime Arango.

I arranged a purchase of a phone for my child, but the encounter turned dangerous. The individual from OfferUp arrived at my residence in a [redacted] or newer Dodge Durango and proceeded to assault my 13-year-old boy and father, resulting in injuries that required hospitalization. Law enforcement was promptly informed, and an extensive search operation, including a helicopter, ensued for over five hours. Unfortunately, the culprits evaded capture. Surprisingly, the perpetrator's OfferUp account remains active. I possess all communication, evidence, and even footage captured by neighbors. It is crucial to reach me urgently regarding this distressing incident involving a minor. Detectives will commence an inquiry into the matter on Monday morning. Please connect with me at [redacted] or [redacted].

I recently bought 4 Charlie Brown coffee mugs from a seller who unfortunately packed them poorly, causing them to arrive shattered. I contacted the seller, who acknowledged the issue but blamed the Post Office for mishandling the package. The mugs were sent in just an envelope with minimal protection and no fragile markings. Additionally, the seller sent me the wrong package for a Walt Disney lot, which I had to mail back at a cost of $48 because I couldn't print the return label provided by Offer Up. It's frustrating that Offer Up doesn't have a direct customer service number like Amazon or eBay for quick issue resolution. I hope for a prompt response on these matters. Sincerely, Tim West

I listed my desk for sale last week. A woman quickly bought it, claiming it was for her mother's 60th birthday. She sent a check for $[redacted], way more than the $[redacted] price, instructing me to pay the movers. Sensing a scam, I contacted my bank, who advised blocking the buyer and reporting to local selling sites. The buyer went by the name Perry Clark, email [redacted] The check, supposedly from UMPQUA BANK, was suspicious and linked to AMERICAN CRANE RENTAL INC. in Escalon, Ca. Thankfully, I alerted the bank in time and will be refunded any charges incurred. Be cautious of similar scams while selling items online. Thank you. - Lois S. [redacted]

I had a terrible experience with a recent furniture purchase. Initially, John assured me over the phone that I could inspect the dining table before buying it, but upon delivery, this wasn't the case. The delivery was late, and the driver seemed upset, making it uncomfortable for me to inspect the table properly. I didn't receive an invoice for the $[redacted] cash payment, and upon opening the boxes, I found the table looked nothing like the pictures - the colors were different. After assembling it, I was dissatisfied with the table and the overall customer service experience. When I requested a refund through email, John insisted on a phone call, where the customer service was appalling. I've been trying to resolve this for nearly two weeks and just want a refund for the misrepresented product and poor treatment. I hope to get this matter resolved promptly.

I listed a desk for sale on OfferUp and quickly received a buyer. The buyer explained that it was for her mother's 60th birthday and would send a check for $[redacted] and arrange a moving company to pick it up. Surprisingly, I received a check for $[redacted] a few days later, with the explanation that it also covered pick up of items from a storage unit. Sensing a scam, I contacted my bank after depositing the check and received the advice to not touch the funds or communicate with the buyer. Subsequently, I was threatened by the buyer via email for not responding promptly, which raised more red flags. I reported the incident to my bank, who advised me to mark the email as spam. The threatening email came from [redacted] I believe others on OfferUp should be alerted about this individual.

I recently sold two items to one person on the OfferUp app. I accidentally printed the same label twice due to a printer issue, then sealed both boxes with the same label. The boxes were dropped off at the post office, but they couldn't locate the second box. I received a message stating I won't get paid for this mistake. Before taking any action, please check with the customer if they received both items. I am unable to find a contact number to discuss this matter further. My account name is "LAZ," and my email is lazaro8013@gmail. The buyer's name is "John," and my phone number is [redacted]. Your help in resolving this issue is appreciated.

This is my first time using OfferUp. I sold AirPod Headphones and received messages that made me believe I was waiting for payment. I was congratulated on my sale and provided with a receipt. When adding deposit information, I noticed it allowed for a debit card or account number, so I initially added my card. However, after receiving a notification that my order was canceled, I then added my bank account number.
The notification also mentioned that I would still get paid if the package was shipped. I sent it off a week ago, and the buyer already received it and loves it.

I recently created an OfferUp account and completed the verification process for the TruYou badge. However, even though my account was verified over a week ago, I am now unable to message anyone or go through the verification process again if prompted. It seems like my account is locked, despite following all guidelines and rules. I have purchased items that are in transit, some of unknown shipping status, and I've also sold an item awaiting shipment. If I can't access my funds, I won't be able to ship the sold item, leaving me at risk of losing both money and products. It's concerning as I may not receive items as expected, leaving me financially compromised. I haven't violated any policies, but my account appears frozen. Without buyer protection, I face potentially losing money on multiple sales.

I created an account on OfferUp and completed all the required verification steps for the Truyou badge over a week ago. Despite successfully verifying my account, I am now unable to message anyone or redo the verification process when prompted. It seems like my account is locked, even though I have adhered to the guidelines without breaking any rules. Currently, I have purchased items that are in transit, some with uncertain shipping statuses. I have also sold an item that I cannot ship without withdrawing the funds. This situation is concerning as it jeopardizes the transactions I am involved in. If the received items are not as expected, I risk losing money. It appears that OfferUp has flagged my account without valid reasons. I urgently need my account unfrozen to proceed with my sales and purchases smoothly and protect myself financially.

I am ASLAN on the app. Yesterday, I noticed that the items I posted for sale had zero views, making it seem like my account is frozen. Today, my posts are blurred out, indicating a possible block on my account.
I recently encountered a customer service issue regarding the PROMOTE feature. Despite canceling it, I was still charged. After Apple issued a credit to fix the charge, my account may have been inadvertently frozen due to this.
I kindly request assistance in resolving this matter so that I can resume using OfferUp for selling and buying items. I have a background in military intelligence and law enforcement, and my intention is to contribute positively by identifying and reporting scammers on the platform to enhance safety.
If necessary, please contact me at [redacted].

Transaction #[redacted]
Hello, I am reaching out regarding a transaction on OfferUp where I accepted an offer for TaylorMade Junior set bubble irons. I packaged and mailed the items as instructed, but there was an issue at the post office causing confusion with the delivery status. OfferUp canceled the transaction despite the post office confirming the package was delivered to the buyer. I am frustrated as I have not been paid, and I am struggling to get assistance from OfferUp. I would appreciate a quick resolution to this matter to receive my payment promptly. Thank you for any help in advance.

I listed brand new earbuds, a charging cord, and a charging block for sale on OfferUp. Ivone purchased the items through OfferUp's mailing system. I shipped the package on April 22, [redacted], but there was a delay, and Ivone received it on May 6, [redacted]. She expressed interest in the items, but I informed her that the package was lost by USPS. After contacting USPS, Kim from the Rancho Cucamonga branch advised me to wait as they couldn't locate it. When the package was finally delivered, Ivone refused to pay me, despite OfferUp closing the sale. They instructed me to repost the items, but I no longer have them as USPS had the package. Ivone, based in Fresno, California, failed to respond to my messages. I seek reimbursement for the $30 sale. Can someone please assist me? Thank you, Roy Fuerte

After purchasing an Apple iWatch that turned out to be iCloud locked, I have been trying to contact the seller to resolve the issue. Despite repeated attempts, the seller has been unresponsive and made excuses for not meeting up to unlock the device. After days of messaging and even mentioning law enforcement, they finally shared their number but failed to follow through. It has been four days since the purchase, and the seller continues to avoid providing a solution while offering excuses for their lack of communication. I am unsure how to proceed in this situation.

I bought a pair of Nike sneakers for $[redacted] including shipping from a seller who blocked me after accepting my offer. Despite receiving a priority mail letter stating the sneakers would arrive in 5-7 days, nothing showed up. When I checked the tracking, it said the sneakers were delivered on the day the letter arrived. I've tried to contact the seller with no luck. I filed a buyer protection request but haven't received any updates. I requested a refund as instructed, but I'm worried about losing $[redacted]. I hope the payment wasn't already released to the seller. I really need my money back. Any assistance would be appreciated.

I purchased a pair of Nike sneakers on OfferUp for $[redacted] with shipping included. After the seller accepted my offer, they blocked me and I couldn't reach them. I received a priority mail letter stating the sneakers would arrive in 5-7 days. The seller asked how I liked the item, but I hadn't received it. The tracking showed they were delivered the same day as the letter. Despite filing buyer protection within 2 days as instructed, I haven't received any emails or a refund after requesting it. I'm anxious about losing $[redacted], as a single mom of 3, this was a rare treat for myself. I fear the payment might have been released to the seller. I urgently need my money back.

I've been having issues posting items for sale on my account for nearly five days now. All my previous listings have been deleted, and whenever I try to post, I encounter the error code: G0XO1VX8. My account, registered under [redacted], has been active for over 3 years with [redacted]+ sales and 40+ positive reviews. I urgently require assistance to restore my account functionality. A woman named contacted me through OfferUp and bought a comforter I listed for $65, negotiating down to $50. She requested expedited shipping via FedEx, claiming she had an account to speed up delivery. I shipped the item promptly, but now she has backed out after using the comforter. Despite receiving it and using it on her bed, she has cancelled the payment and intends to return it after already using it. I have her full name, address, and phone number.
