Subject: Missing Baby's Toy Incident at Motel 6, Petaluma
Good evening,
I have made repeated attempts to contact Motel 6 in Petaluma via email and phone regarding a significant issue, but unfortunately, I have received no response. I am extremely troubled by the situation. I am certain that I left my newborn's beloved toy (a sleeping owl) on the room floor during my stay. Despite my immediate notification to the motel, they claim it was not found. I strongly believe that it was taken by a housekeeper.
The loss of this sentimental item, my baby's first toy, has deeply saddened me. Considering the circumstances surrounding my baby's birth and the emotional value of the toy, the disregard by the staff is disappointing. Despite my suspicion that the toy might have been misplaced under the bed, the motel refuted this possibility.
After staying at various Motel 6 locations during our six-week trip and spending close to $[redacted], I am disillusioned. Regrettably, due to this incident, I have decided not to continue patronizing Motel 6 in the future. I intend to share this experience with friends and fellow travelers from Australia and Britain to caution them about the inadequate service and potential theft issues at your establishments.
This situation has deeply affected me.
Best regards,
Pip D.

Good morning,
I have made multiple unsuccessful attempts to resolve a serious matter at your establishment. I accidentally left my baby's cherished sleeping toy in room [redacted]. This oversight has distressed me greatly, and as my baby is now distressed without it, I implore you to investigate with your housekeeping staff.
I have attached a photo for reference. It is imperative that you address this matter promptly.
Thank you.

This is not our first time encountering issues at this establishment. The staff was unhelpful, uncaring, and disrespectful during our recent stay. One evening, our room key did not work, and it took multiple phone calls and interactions before an employee addressed the problem, displaying a bad attitude. Subsequently, the staff was unhelpful and rude in addressing other issues like a malfunctioning vending machine and laundry machine. Additionally, we were rudely awakened early in the morning and told to check out prematurely due to a false claim of being fully booked. Such treatment is unacceptable, and we demand a refund or compensation for the inconveniences caused during our stay. The lack of professionalism and customer service from the staff and management is disappointing. We believe that action should be taken to improve the quality of service provided at this establishment. Kyle S. & Desiree V.

Last night, around 12:54 a.m. close to 1 a.m., we checked into the room. I went to lay down, and my wife took a shower. As she went to lay down, she fell asleep. About 5-10 minutes later, she felt something moving and then felt the touch of a water bug. She jumped, and I was right behind her. She is freaked out by creatures like that, so she made me go to the front desk and ask for a refund since we were not in the room for long. The clerk told us to sleep in the truck where they could see us until the morning. I did that, but around 5 a.m., I realized I had left my iPad in the room under the covers. When I asked the clerk about it, she claimed there was nothing left upfront and maybe it was still in the room. As I walked by the room, I saw the door open, where she either sent someone in or checked the room after we left. I returned the keys to her, and she witnessed that my wife and I slept in the truck. I have been waiting for over 10 hours as she assured me that I would have no problem getting my refund back.

I am currently staying at Motel6 NASA 1 in Clear Lake, TX. Unfortunately, due to my husband's leg amputation and major heart surgery, we have been here for over four weeks. I was expecting to have my taxes refunded and applied to my next week's stay as promised. However, upon requesting it, I was denied under the false claim that I have checked out and in for four consecutive weeks. This is not true as I have been in the same room continuously. When my daughter helped with the payment, they used it as an excuse to deny me the refund. I have even offered to manage my own cleaning and supplies to reduce my weekly bill, but they haven't accepted. This situation is financially draining and I am frustrated by their threats regarding my room. I seek a resolution as the explanation given for withholding my tax refund doesn't add up.

I request assistance regarding my recent stay at Motel 6 on Anderson Road in Orlando, Florida. During my stay from June 27th to July 7th in room [redacted], I faced issues with getting towels despite daily requests as they claimed they needed to wash them. Additionally, I had concerns about roaches in the room and a clogged sink which were not addressed. After moving to room [redacted] on July 4th, I was mistakenly charged for both rooms for the same day when I should have been transferred. Complaining to the general manager led to a rude and disrespectful response with no resolution. Despite contacting the corporate office, I have not received a follow-up as promised. I am disappointed with the service and would appreciate prompt compensation for these issues. Please reach out to me at [redacted]. Thank you for your attention to this matter. - Brian L.

During our stay at Hotel 6 due to a house fire, my wife and I faced multiple issues. The room was not properly cleaned with remnants from the previous guest present. We had to clean the room ourselves after finding various hygiene issues. When we requested to stay in the same room during our stay, we were moved to different rooms every other day without clear reasons. The mattresses had springs sticking out, making our first night uncomfortable. Despite the helpful housekeepers, the managed of the hotel and the overall conditions were disappointing. As a loyal Hotel 6 customer for the past 15 years, I hope for a better experience moving forward. Thank you for addressing our concerns. Mr. E. Courtney Sr.

I recently stayed at Motel 6 in Jacksonville, North Carolina, on North Marine Blvd [redacted]. The owner and management exhibit unprofessional behavior, creating an unsafe environment with racial profiling of guests and employees. My fiancé faced threats to her character by the assistant manager, who made her feel physically threatened during a meeting. The establishment is poorly managed, with reports of bed bugs, roaches, and fire safety violations. Smoke detectors are removed without replacement or repair, endangering guests. An employee was terminated for knowing about the owner's infidelity, further highlighting misconduct. I have filed an equal opportunity complaint and am prepared to pursue legal action if necessary. An employee informed me that the owner and management are manipulating current employees regarding my fiancé's departure.

I am currently a guest at Motel 6 in Sherman, TX and have gone through two room changes. The first room had issues with the TV and toilet, despite maintenance being called several times. The second room had trouble with the door lock. In my current room #[redacted], there are noise complaints regarding neighboring room #[redacted] where underage guests are causing disturbances and smoking, affecting my health. The new staff member does not seem attentive to our complaints. Additionally, mold is present in the mini fridge and bathroom, and there are cigarette burns on the blankets in a designated non-smoking room. Despite my long drive and desire for a peaceful night's rest, the noise and issues persist, making the stay very disappointing. This experience has been subpar compared to my previous hotel stays, and the lack of proper management and staff response is unacceptable. I regret choosing this hotel and will not be returning in the future.

I am reaching out as I suspect I fell victim to a scam trying to cheat me out of $[redacted]. On June 27th, my spouse and I stayed at Motel 6, located at [redacted] Midland Road. The following morning, while getting ready to depart, our car and camping trailer vanished from where we had parked them overnight. The motel informed us that they had been towed by Abel Tow at [redacted] Reynolds, reachable at [redacted]. The reason given was a neighbor's complaint about our parking, even though we were clearly within Motel 6's lot and not obstructing anyone. We were asked for $[redacted] in cash to retrieve our vehicles, which they reduced to $[redacted] after discussion.
I feel scammed because the motel could have simply asked me to move my vehicles, as they had my details from check-in, and my Washington State plates were visible. The cash-only demand raised suspicions. Unfortunately, the police deemed it a civil issue, leaving me no choice but to pay. Upon pickup, I discovered damage to my truck's bumper and the camping trailer, with the tow company denying responsibility citing a waiver I had signed.
I am seeking reimbursement for the towing fee and expect repair costs for my vehicles to be covered.

Over the past weekend, I visited Magic Springs and booked a room at Motel 6 off Central Ave. I must address that this motel is unacceptable. I discovered old food and debris from prior guests, including the air conditioner being clogged with dried-up food. The carpet was dirty and stained, likely from previous spills not being properly cleaned by housekeeping. The furniture was broken and in need of replacement. I reluctantly stayed due to the unavailability of rooms elsewhere; otherwise, I would have left immediately. I will not return to this motel with my family and am willing to pay extra to avoid it. The conditions do not justify the price of around $80 per night, resembling a place one might take a guest for illicit activities.

On Sunday, July 14, [redacted], during my stay at Motel 6 in Sherman, TX (Texoma Pkwy Sherman, TX), we encountered multiple issues that led to us switching rooms twice. Initially, the TV and toilet were not functional despite maintenance claims. Then, the new room (room #[redacted]) also had problems including noise disturbances from neighboring guests in room #[redacted] and mold as well as cigarette burns in our designated non-smoking room. Despite numerous complaints, the noise and smoking persisted, affecting our quality of rest. The second front desk attendant seemed indifferent to our grievances, further complicating our experience. Our attempt to get a good night's sleep after a long drive was marred by the hotel's shortcomings, culminating in an unsatisfactory checkout process. It was disappointing to encounter such subpar service and facilities, making it clear that I will not be returning to this establishment in the future.

I booked a room at Motel 6 Little Rock North tonight and instantly regretted it. The room was extremely unsanitary and there were questionable individuals loitering around the premises. I suspect some may be involved in illegal activities. Despite trying to contact the front desk with no success, I decided to leave the key in the room and promptly left after only being there for 10 minutes. I relocated to Motel 6 on McCain Street and informed the clerk about my experience. Attempts to reach the original location went unanswered. At the new motel, I feel much safer after discussing the situation with the clerk who mentioned similar incidents occurring in the past. Given my upcoming long-distance move with U-Haul, my top priority is feeling secure. The clerk was understanding and alleviated my concerns during a stressful moment. I believe it is imperative for someone to address the alarming conditions at the previous Motel 6 location, as it is not in line with the brand's standard.

While staying in room [redacted] on July 14th, everything seemed fine until I got a headache. The next morning, I discovered a significant amount of mold in the room. After informing the front desk and showing them pictures, I was told they would look into it. When I returned to the hotel due to a prior reservation, the staff member on duty seemed dismissive when I tried to raise the issue again, mentioning the manager, Brian. The next day, when I inquired if he was the manager, he denied it, which contradicted information I had received. When I mentioned another guest identifying him as the manager, his demeanor changed, and he abruptly told me to leave, even though I hadn't checked out yet.

I stayed at the Motel 6 in Bridgeview and it was the most disappointing experience. The room was filthy, with dirty sheets and a blanket full of cigarette holes. The walls had peeling wallpaper, urine stains around the toilet, mold, missing tiles, and moldy shower curtains. The carpet had holes, there was someone else's hair in the tub, and even the shower head was dirty. They refused to change my room or provide a refund, offering a gift certificate instead. The place was so unsafe with uncovered outlets. The cleanliness overall was poor, with a musty smell in the hallways. This Motel 6 location needs immediate attention as it tarnishes the reputation of the chain. I've never encountered such neglect at a Motel 6 before, and this experience was truly the worst. Thank you for looking into this matter.

Hello, my name is Jeremy M. Over a year ago, my family and I stayed at the Motel 6 in Stanton. Unfortunately, someone complained that our kids were being too loud. As someone who has frequented Motel 6 locations, I understand that kids can get exuberant, especially when enjoying activities like swimming. It was disheartening not to be allowed to stay there due to this complaint. Additionally, my family had to endure sitting in the car for 45 minutes in the heat, trying to check in but ultimately being turned away. We had to find accommodation elsewhere, after a lengthy phone call with Expedia to explain the situation. I hope you can see the perspective I am coming from, and I sincerely hope this issue can be resolved promptly. Rest assured, if it is not addressed, I will be reaching out again to address these concerns.

My husband paid for a one-night stay at Motel 6 in Springfield, VA, on July 15, [redacted], through Expedia. Before booking, we contacted the hotel to confirm that he could print emails and use the copier as he needed to be at the passport office in Washington D.C. at 7 AM. Despite this assurance, upon arrival, we faced difficulties with the hotel staff. They initially refused to assist with printing until the next day and the fax and copier were not functional. After some insistence, they did allow printing but not copying of his driver's license. Unhappy with the cleanliness, my husband decided to switch to Best Western. I contacted the hotel to complain and request a refund, only to be directed back and forth between Expedia and the hotel. I am seeking your intervention to secure a full refund of the $76 I paid, as my reservation was based on the hotel meeting my husband's printing needs.

I reserved a room from Fri 7/13 to Wed 7/18 at [redacted] Virginia Ave in GA. Upon arrival, there were numerous police cars outside and excessive noise from motorcycles and parties. The room reeked of marijuana. Despite arriving late and tired from a long drive, the strong odor gave me a headache. I left with my small dog the next morning, while my husband stayed for his class. Upon returning on Tuesday, my dog barked and disturbed a neighbor, leading to complaints. The neighbor insisted I take responsibility for my pet, mentioning that the dog's barking disturbed her sleep. I explained the situation, expressing my discomfort with the smell and the previous presence of illegal drugs in the room. Due to these issues and my health concerns, I had to leave the hotel until the room was properly cleaned.

During my recent stay at Motel 6 Central in Sacramento, CA, Whitney, the front desk attendant, provided excellent service with a friendly and professional attitude. However, my 12-day stay was disappointing. Upon arrival, the staff member was initially unhelpful after I had requested an early check-in. The room key had issues and needed frequent reactivation. Additionally, we were unexpectedly told to move our trailer to a different parking lot without prior warning. The late-night staff member accused me of non-payment and was threatening. The pool had hygiene issues with black hair in it. As a disabled guest, the abrupt request to move our trailer caused unnecessary stress. For more information including specific incidents, please reach out to me at [redacted].

I arrived at the Motel 6 on July 18, [redacted], at 2:00 p.m. for a reservation. Upon entering the room, I noticed it was hot and the phone was not working. I contacted the manager, who promptly came to my room in about 5 minutes. He suggested turning the air conditioning on full blast to cool the room, but unfortunately, it never cooled down during my stay. The manager mentioned he didn't have any spare phones to replace the broken one and declined my request for a discounted rate. He explained it was his first day and couldn't assist with the air conditioning or phone issue. Despite being a loyal Motel 6 customer since [redacted], this was the worst experience I've encountered. It's disappointing when one bad experience affects the reputation of the entire establishment, and I believe this manager could benefit from customer service training.

My wife and I wanted to recommend your north Medford motel to a friend visiting from out of town. We approached Chris, your day manager, to see if he had checked her in, but his response was extremely rude. As we were speaking to him, he abruptly walked away. We were only trying to locate our friend at the pool. Shortly after, an employee just 10 steps away from the office told us to leave the property immediately since we didn't have a room. The way they handled the situation was disrespectful and embarrassing. Such poor customer service should not be accepted. As a result, we are now searching for another motel for our friend. Unfortunately, I can't imagine recommending this motel to anyone again. Thank you.
