I lost my job on February 13th due to the company being sold. I applied for unemployment benefits then, which were approved, but I didn't certify as I started my own business. Unfortunately, the COVID-19 outbreak forced me to cancel my work plans. I reapplied for benefits in late March with a backdate request due to lost work opportunities. While my first recent certification only covered two weeks, I still haven't received any news about the backdated benefits approval. I am looking to receive payments from February 14th to April 4th, totaling $6,[redacted] before taxes. I would appreciate taxes deducted before the deposit. Thank you for any help you can provide!

I'm experiencing difficulties accessing my MIWAM account to input my employees' details. I have both an EIN number and a FEIN number, along with a UIA account number. I received an access code from the UIA back in November [redacted] to set up my account, but despite numerous attempts to register and contact them by phone, I've had no success in logging in or getting through on the phone. When I try the "forgot username and password" option, it requests my email address. However, upon entering it, I receive a notification stating that there isn't a security question linked to that email. I am in urgent need of technical assistance to access my account, add my employee information, and process my UIA insurance payments. It's crucial for my employees who are currently unable to work and are facing denials in collecting benefits. I sincerely hope someone can assist me promptly.

My husband and I were employed by a temp agency called Northern Staffing and were later hired full time by LexaMar. When leaving Northern Staffing, we indicated that we left voluntarily to accept new employment at LexaMar. I'm concerned this choice might impact our benefit payments. We rely on these benefits to support our family with bills and food. If there is an issue, I want to rectify it promptly. I hope to receive guidance before next week. This is my first time applying for unemployment, and I want to ensure everything is correct.

I have yet to receive my unemployment payment after filing over a month ago. Due to the challenges of the pandemic, finding and keeping work has been difficult. I followed all prompts promptly, expecting my deposit a week ago, but nothing has come through. Despite my efforts to contact the appropriate channels for assistance, I have not received any responses. The lack of communication and unavailability of support is frustrating, leaving me in a challenging financial situation. The current system should provide more efficient ways for individuals in need to receive timely help and resolve issues promptly.

On March 23, [redacted], was my last day at work. The next day, I filed for unemployment online, but I got stuck and needed to speak to an agent for assistance. Despite numerous attempts over the past month, I have been disconnected both online and over the phone. Recently, after [redacted] redials, I finally reached an agent only to be redirected to another department after a long wait. The call abruptly ended after hours on hold, despite receiving an email confirmation for a callback. I am frustrated as I await a response. I have tried contacting via email and chat with no success due to the short time limit for responses. I am not proficient with computers and prefer phone assistance. I am feeling overwhelmed and unsure of what to do next due to the lack of support.

I applied for unemployment benefits and was approved for $[redacted] per week. Despite filing every week after losing my job due to the pandemic, I keep encountering a "Non-Monetary Issue." My determination status lists two problems: a voluntary quit (to return to school) and a seasonal job that closed down. They are also trying to verify my work history at KFC, which is owned by Fitzpatrick Acquisitions LLC. I fear that indicating I did not work for the parent company of KFC may be causing a problem. Desperately seeking assistance as I have $[redacted] in bills due soon and have exhausted all other avenues for help with no resolution in sight.

I have not received a check since the beginning of March. I used to go into the office weekly without any issues receiving payment. I began working two days a week at a job, then reduced to one day before being let go for not meeting expectations. During this time, I still received checks when I was working there. I applied for benefits on March 28 and received eligibility confirmation. Despite certifying weekly, the Determination Status remains "in Progress" with a task prompt to file a claim, which I've done thrice. However, when prompted to enter employer details, I couldn't provide the EIN or FEIN numbers. I am unable to contact anyone for clarification and have submitted correspondence twice with no reply. The live chat feature is also unavailable on the site. Kindly advise on the necessary steps to resume receiving payments. Thank you for your attention. Sincerely, Jodine B.

In January [redacted], I filed for unemployment after being fired due to my employer repeatedly issuing bounced payroll checks. Despite securing new employment within a week and not collecting benefits, my ex-boss falsely informed unemployment that I had quit without showing up. Consequently, an incorrect "ineligible" status from that time is now hindering my current claim. I've made numerous attempts, through letters, emails, and calls, to rectify this error, even reaching out to local media for help. I urgently need this issue resolved as the delayed funds are impacting my ability to pay bills, especially crucial as my disabled wife relies on me. I seek assistance in removing the past ineligibility from my record to access the benefits I am entitled to in Michigan.

I was laid off on 3/30/[redacted] and filed a claim with Michigan UIA. It is currently under review. I have two jobs and last September, after an accident, I was supposed to return to work on March 30th. Due to Covid-19, the paperwork processing to my employers got delayed. The first employer, Meijers, didn't receive the doctor's paperwork until April 6, and the second employer received it on April 17. I started filing for unemployment on April 7 with claim number C[redacted]-0, which I opened in July [redacted] for a one-week layoff. I receive a pension from American Seating Co., my former employer, which wasn't supposed to be an issue. I haven't been updated on my claim status. Can anyone provide assistance? Phone: [redacted].

I have been unemployed since March 30th. I reopened a claim from July [redacted] with claim number c[redacted]-0. After an accident in September [redacted], I was on disability until my release to return to work on March 30, [redacted]. Due to Covid, my first job at Center Manufacturing ACQ had closed before my return to work paperwork arrived on April 6. My second job at Meijers got the paperwork on April 17. I started filing for unemployment on April 7, and I have a pension from a previous employer which was sorted when I opened the claim. However, I have not received any updates on my claim status. Can someone please assist me? Contact me at [redacted]. - Mark A.

I approved unemployment but received no money. I didn't receive any mail until today, April 27, [redacted], and had to return it to the office by today. Despite planning to return to work on 5/4/[redacted], it seems my situation has changed. I've informed MarVin that I will be going back to my job and not searching for new employment. The requirement to look for work has been suspended from March 15th to May 2nd. They are requesting more documents, which is unclear to me. It seems there is a problem in the system with a cliché. The chat function isn't available 24/7, and the phone line is constantly busy. It's challenging to reach a live person. I'm deemed ineligible for unemployment since I'm not actively seeking work.

I am a waitress, and my workplace closed around March 16th, [redacted]. I found a new job at a grocery store but was only scheduled for 4 hours on March 27th. The manager said I would be on call and might not get many hours. Since then, I haven't worked. I applied for unemployment on March 28th, [redacted], and only reached a representative on April 7th, [redacted]. He mentioned there were two claims under my SSN, which is a mistake as it's my first time applying. He assured me it would be fixed, but it hasn't changed. Despite calling persistently, I can't reach anyone to resolve this issue.

I applied for unemployment benefits as a self-employed or underemployed individual on 4/16/[redacted], and I received a PUA number. I encountered issues while trying to log in to MiWAM to complete my certification. Despite following the steps to retrieve my login information, I was informed that my account had been locked or disabled, presumably due to multiple failed login attempts. The website suggested waiting for 30 minutes before trying again, but even after multiple attempts, the issue persisted. Unfortunately, I have been unable to find a contact number or email address to address this problem, as I can only contact support when logged into MiWAM. The available resources do not provide guidance for this specific situation. I appreciate any assistance in resetting my password and moving forward with the certification process. Thank you.

I submitted a claim for unemployment. While listing my previous employers, I mistakenly selected the wrong one for one of the entries. I was employed at an Amazon Fulfillment Center in Livonia, MI from August to December [redacted] but mistakenly chose Amazon.com Services by accident. I left the Amazon job to join General Motors. Now, on my claim certification, it shows an open non-monetary issue for the weeks starting April 15th and 24th, with a message of "pending fact finding". I suspect this is due to the incorrect employer listed. I would appreciate it if someone from the unemployment office could correct my base employer from Amazon.com Services to Amazon.

I recently received a letter from the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity Unemployment Insurance Agency regarding my late certification of benefits for the period March 22, [redacted] through March 28, [redacted]. The letter mentioned that I certified on April 14th instead of the required April 11th date. I missed the deadline due to various reasons, including being unfamiliar with the process, experiencing delays in the MiWAM system, and difficulty reaching a representative for assistance. Although I selected "I was not aware of requirement" as my reason for the delay, it seems this was not deemed acceptable.
Regrettably, I was notified today by mail that I would not be receiving benefits for the mentioned period due to my chosen explanation for the late certification. This decision presents a significant challenge for me and my family, as we heavily depend on my income for our expenses. I am seeking reconsideration of this decision as those benefits are crucial for us, and their denial is solely based on a technicality.
Despite numerous attempts, I have been unsuccessful in reaching a department representative for clarification. I am willing to discuss this matter further with a representative once the opportunity arises.

I began filing a claim last week for different Michigan services. I reached the end of the application but planned to finish later as I started at 2:30 am. When I tried accessing it again, my account was disabled. I created a new account, but it did not resolve the issue. I emailed for help and was told I would be contacted on Monday. After speaking with someone from unemployment, I was informed it would take half an hour to resolve my account issue. However, the problem persists, and I need assistance to finalize my claim.

I need assistance with my unemployment claim. I filed in March, received confirmation of eligibility, and certified online as instructed. However, my payments have been deemed ineligible. I suspect an old claim from [redacted], which required filing with Michigan Works, might be causing the issue, although I did not file with them as I had returned to work. I have been unable to reach anyone for help despite trying various methods. It has been 6 weeks without pay, and I have three children to support. Please help me resolve this matter. You can contact me at [redacted] or via email. My claim number is #C[redacted]-0. Thank you for your assistance. Kristen K.

I applied for PUA unemployment and got approved. I have certified for 6 weeks but have not received any benefits. The status under the certification tab for last week said "Additional Claim Required." Today, it shows $0.00 for the weeks certified and says "Benefits Exhausted." In my account alerts, it says I can certify for the next two weeks starting May 11. I am confused about how to certify when it shows $0.00. I have not received benefits in almost 3 weeks. I have been trying to contact someone for help but have not been able to reach anyone by phone or on the unemployment website.

I am experiencing difficulty accessing my Miwam account as it keeps indicating that my social security number is linked to another account. Despite contacting the office twice and having my username reset, I am still unable to log in. I am now unable to reach the unemployment office for assistance. I have even created a new account and reset my password without success. As I am scheduled to certify next week, I am anxious about the status of my account. Being a frontline hospital worker who has tested positive for COVID-19, I urgently require access to my account. When I was transferred to a Tech for assistance, I got disconnected while waiting on hold. The repeated attempts to access my account have left me financially stressed during my illness and absence from work.

I am trying to figure out if only one parent or both parents in the same household can claim the children as dependents. If only one parent can, does it matter which one? Is it more beneficial to the parent filing for UIA or the PUA, or the one earning more income or considered the head of the household? My husband believes he claimed our children on his UIA application, but his account does not reflect this or show he is receiving the additional funds for each child. When I applied for PUA a few weeks later due to being unable to reach the MIWAM office, I claimed the children myself, thinking there was an error. However, my approved application also shows zero dependents despite entering two. The concerning part is that my account now says "open non-monetary issue" for each certification. We have searched online and through FAQs but found no guidance on claiming dependents when both parents are filing for unemployment simultaneously. I am worried I may have made a mistake unknowingly. Any clarification on this issue would be greatly appreciated, as I imagine other households facing similar circumstances during this pandemic would benefit from this information as well. Stay safe and have a great day!
