Hello, I closed my Traveling Psychic Supper Club Meetup group and contacted Meetup to avoid further charges, but I was still billed. I am seeking a refund as I canceled the subscription on June 9. The group's name might need to change if someone else takes over, as I hold the trademark for Traveling Psychic Supper Club. I have previously informed Meetup about this change via email as well. I need to report a Meetup hiking group leader who is failing to uphold safety standards during hikes. During a recent hike, several large dogs were off-leash and collided with a group member, resulting in an ankle sprain requiring medical attention and a lengthy recovery. The leader acknowledged the incident but brushed it off as an accident, not taking the issue seriously. He seems unwilling to recognize the need for enhanced safety measures to prevent future accidents. When urged to keep dogs leashed for safety, the leader responded that he could not guarantee their confinement, leaving the responsibility to individuals.

I am reaching out because I believe there might be an issue with my account. A few years ago, when I set up my android phone, I inadvertently ended up with two different email addresses associated with my account. It seems that because I may have used Google to download the app, my Gmail address was used for signing in and joining multiple groups. The problem I am facing is that the important groups I have been a part of for a longer time are not sending me timely email notifications for new events. Being hikes and events, spots tend to fill up quickly. Despite updating my contact information in the profiles of these key groups to my msn email address, the ones that still have my Gmail address seem to take precedence. Consequently, I am not receiving any notifications at my [redacted] address. I have considered leaving and rejoining these groups to rectify the situation, but I am concerned about losing access to past photos and event postings that are valuable for me to reference. Additionally, this would impact the tools I use as an organizer. All I essentially want is to receive email notifications at my [redacted] address, which is not happening currently. My other address, [redacted], is not as critical, and I could do without it, retaining memberships but not requiring immediate notifications. Thank you!

I have an old meetup account under an email address that I no longer use, [redacted] Due to security concerns following a hack of my home network, I deleted the comcast email account and created a new one, [redacted] I recently registered with this new email address on Meetup. However, I am unable to access my old account associated with the comcast email where I am a member of the Amherst/Northampton Chamber Music Players group. I cannot remember the password and cannot receive the password reset email to the comcast address. I would like to change my user ID and password for my old account and group membership to my new gmail address to update my information. If this is not feasible, I would like my old account and membership to be deleted so I can rejoin the group with my current email. Thank you. - Robert Gardner

Recently, the website's format changed, making it challenging to view group events in chronological order. Many users, myself included, preferred the previous calendar layout for easier navigation. Additionally, I encountered an issue where I was unexpectedly removed from the "[redacted] singles" group in Denver. After reaching out to the group leader, it was clarified that they did not remove me, and it was due to a Meetup website error affecting others as well. It seems that the platform is experiencing technical difficulties causing disruptions for both users and group leaders. It would be beneficial to have a skilled web developer address these issues promptly to enhance the overall usability of the site.

I recently received an invoice from Taxamo related to a Meetup subscription, which contains my personal information. Although I believed I had canceled my Meetup membership months ago, this invoice has me concerned. I am upset with the difficulty in canceling subscriptions on Meetup's platform. I oversee the group, "Single and Sixty in Alexandria," which has been inactive for at least five years. I have two inquiries: 1. Can I receive a partial credit for the years where I faithfully paid for the service but did not use it due to illness and a missed automatic payment? 2. I am reviving the group and have notified previous members and interested non-members about the restart. Non-members want to be involved but are unable to join without an active event posted. Was the "join" feature disabled due to inactivity, and if so, can it be reactivated for my group? I recall that earlier on, individuals were still able to join. The recent layout change on the Meetup website has caused major issues for me. I am unable to load my groups as the page remains blank after numerous refresh attempts, and finding my events has become a challenge. The message "Events from your groups fail to load" keeps appearing, even though I know I have multiple events scheduled. This whole situation is incredibly frustrating for me, especially since Meetup events are a significant part of my life. The error message "Our server wasn't able to process your request" keeps popping up, making it nearly impossible for me to organize events smoothly. The limited functionality of the app adds to my stress, and I'm disappointed that I can no longer search for LGBT events, which I consider discriminatory.

Hello, I wanted to address some concerns we have regarding our administrator, Tracy Rocco. We have been attempting to resolve these issues for over six months without progress. Our members have experienced difficulties signing up for events, facing blocks, being unable to receive refunds after paying, and dealing with outbursts from Tracy. She often demands errands from members, causing distress. Despite offering help, Tracy insists on maintaining control as the President. We have lost members due to these issues and believe it is best for Tracy to step down as administrator. We have a volunteer ready to take over the role and ensure the continuity of our long-standing group, Social Butterflies. We seek guidance on the necessary steps to facilitate this transition. I served as the coordinator for a Meetup group called 'Launceston Skeptics'. Our group made the decision to discontinue our subscription with Meetup, scheduled to end by September 27th. We opted out due to the underutilization of the membership benefits and advertising features provided by Meetup. As the payment manager, I removed my credit card from the account and anticipated the subscription to lapse, allowing us the opportunity to terminate our Meetup account post receipt of an invoice. However, to my surprise, I received a payment notification for an additional deduction recently. Swiftly, I removed myself as the organizer and dissolved our Meetup group. I am currently seeking guidance on initiating a refund for the recent charge of US$[redacted].83 processed only a few hours ago. Hello, I was unable to find an alternative way to contact MeetUp, so I'm reaching out here. I manage two MeetUp groups: 1. Sydney Flight Simulator Boeing [redacted]-[redacted] Fly a Jet Today 2. Sydney Aviation Enthusiasts Meetup I am currently being billed $26.39 monthly. Could you clarify if this fee is for one group only and, if so, which group it covers? Or does this amount cover both MeetUp groups? Additionally, I am in the process of stepping down as the organizer for both groups. Once the new organizer takes over, will I no longer receive MeetUp invoices, and will the new organizer start receiving them automatically? I appreciate a prompt response. Thank you. H. C.

I have recently taken over the leadership of a 10-year-old group called Ladies Making a Difference, which I have been organizing for the past 8 years. Several months back, I reached out regarding issues with the group's finances not tracking correctly. Presently, as we are restructuring the group, I am encountering difficulties accessing the Dues section on our Meetup page despite being logged in as the Organizer. Upon logging in on a new browser, I navigate to Manage Group, Edit Group Settings, Dues section, and encounter a message prompting me to log in as an Organizer, which I already am. Despite multiple attempts on different browsers, I continue to face the same issue of being prompted to log in when I am already logged in. I have previously contacted support with no response. Can you please assist me in gaining access to the Dues section on our group page while being logged in? Your help is greatly appreciated.

I inquired with the Westside Senior Singles meetup group about members who had not received the Covid vaccine. Initially, organizer "Rona Schneider" discouraged me from asking again about this matter. I rephrased my question to clarify whether any attendees had not taken the vaccine, emphasizing my concern for the safety of our dinner events. Surprisingly, I was subsequently removed and blocked from the group by the organizer. Despite being a long-time member with many friends in the group, I was unable to communicate with "Rona Schneider" through various channels. She accused me of being a bully for questioning the group's Covid policies. I simply wish to inform Meetup that I have no intention of creating a new group. Hello, I am currently facing an issue with Meetup when trying to schedule upcoming events. Typically, I open reservations one week before the event at a certain time to ensure fairness and allow sufficient time for signups. However, I have noticed that Meetup now only offers signups for "now" or "1 day before the event," which is not suitable for my needs. I have three Meetup accounts because of different groups my friends managed in various locations. Unfortunately, these groups have faded due to Covid, and I forgot to cancel my subscriptions, resulting in being charged £92 three times. I used to pool funds to cover this, but that also diminished during Covid. I have already canceled two of the subscriptions for inactive groups. Could I please receive a refund of £[redacted] (£92 x 2)? I'm struggling financially, especially with Christmas approaching. Apologies for any inconvenience.
