I called Lyft from Fort Lauderdale Airport at 8:10 a.m. for a ride home. I received a notification that Ciro was on his way, but when I called him at 8:18 a.m. on [redacted]-[redacted]-54-78, he explained he had car troubles and couldn't come. Despite trying to cancel the ride, I was unable to through the system. After contacting Ciro again and asking him to cancel on his end to avoid the $5 charge, with no new driver notification, I had to take a taxi instead and reached home by 8:50 a.m. Later, at 9:20 a.m., Armando, another Lyft driver, called for the pick-up, but by then, I had already arrived home. The notification for Armando came in at 9:19 a.m., which was after I had left. For any system issues, I kindly request that they be resolved without affecting customers or drivers. Please refund the $5 charge to my account. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Esther M Garver

I recently received an email stating that I was denied as a driver for Lyft, and I understand they chose a different path. Despite challenges in the past, I have shown my positive contribution to the community without any recent issues. Other companies have given me a second chance post my previous incident, and I have performed diligently and as per their standards. I am simply requesting Lyft to offer me a chance to showcase my abilities and contribute not only to my earnings but also to the company's success. Please advise on any paperwork or process that could help ease any concerns. Thank you.

Dear community members, I wanted to share my recent experience with Lyft. On August 29th, my wife and I had a Dr. Appointment at Kaiser Permanente Hospital in Walnut Creek, CA. We were scheduled for a Lyft pick-up between 7:00 AM - 7:10 AM, but the driver never showed up or contacted us. We were charged $10 for the missed ride. Luckily, our neighbor used Uber to get us to our appointment just in time. When we tried to contact Lyft, we were able to book a ride home. We were told by Lyft in a previous incident to use a Clock icon on the app to manage our schedules, but we can't find it on our display. Can anyone offer advice on this issue? Thank you, David D. from Livermore, CA

Today, I used Lyft services for a ride from Walmart in Canton, GA. The driver's behavior was disappointing. Upon arrival, he barely acknowledged me and only spoke to confirm my name before being unhelpful when I needed assistance with my groceries due to being handicapped. Despite being a frequent customer with about 75 rides in a year, this experience made me reconsider using Lyft. I usually tip generously, but the lack of basic assistance and empathy from this driver is unacceptable. I will be sharing this negative experience with others and considering switching to Lyft's competition. It's essential for Lyft to ensure their drivers are attentive and helpful, as customer loyalty can easily shift. I hope to hear how Lyft intends to address and improve this situation.

I had a frustrating encounter with a Lyft driver outside my apartment building. Despite not being a passenger, I was affected by their actions. The driver and a customer blocked the driveway, inconveniencing residents. Despite my polite request to clear the driveway, the driver ignored me. The incident took place on August 29th, [redacted], at 10:40 pm, at [redacted] Canal St., San Rafael, CA. The vehicle was a maroon Toyota truck with two Hispanic drivers. I believe their behavior was disrespectful and unprofessional, and I feel they should face consequences for their actions.

On August 3, I used Lyft for a ride. However, I encountered an issue when trying to contact the driver through the app. Instead of connecting with the driver, my Panasonic "Smartphone Connect" app opened on my Pixel 2 phone running the latest Android operating system. The problem seems to occur specifically when a driver is on the way for a pick-up, making it challenging to replicate or troubleshoot the issue. Consequently, since August 3rd, I have switched to using Uber for my transportation needs. Interestingly, my Panasonic cordless home phone allows me to make or receive calls from a smartphone using the same WiFi network, facilitated by the "Panasonic Smartphone Connect" app. Despite being away from my home WiFi, the connection could not be established as intended. If you are facing a similar issue, refer to the setup guide by searching for "kx-prw120_qsg_om.pdf" on Google.

I requested a Lyft ride, despite not using the service in over a year. When I realized I didn't need the ride, I tried canceling it as the driver was 6 minutes away. I called and messaged the driver, but there was no response. I frantically searched for a way to cancel before she arrived. Finally, I found the cancellation option but was charged a $5 fee. I believe it's unfair to be charged the fee when I couldn't reach the driver despite multiple attempts to contact her.

In October, I booked a Lyft ride for my mother in FL, but due to limitations in the app, she couldn't communicate with the driver. Despite my efforts to help guide the driver, language barriers caused confusion. Even with the assistance of Spanish-speaking neighbors, the driver still struggled to find the correct pick-up location. This led to my mother getting frustrated and the ride ultimately being canceled. Subsequently, my account was disabled, possibly due to the incident. It has been a significant inconvenience for me not being able to use the app because of this chaotic situation.

I reside in Franklin, Tennessee, and am a loyal customer. Recently, I encountered an issue with a driver from your company. The driver had difficulty finding my location, attributing it to me not inputting the address in my phone. After tracking him down, the driver proceeded to be impolite. He questioned my origin and made inappropriate remarks, leaving me feeling disrespected and offended. His behavior caused me to be tardy for an important interview due to his excuses and lack of professionalism. This encounter was unpleasant and unlike any previous experiences I've had with Lyft drivers. I expect a sincere apology from the driver and request my next ride to be complimentary.

I recently submitted a driver application to Lyft. However, during the process, after entering my license plate number, I was abruptly informed that my application was denied without clear reasons provided. This was quite unexpected, especially since I was not able to complete my application fully. I am a little uneasy as I had already input my social security number, and I am unsure why my application was rejected at such an early stage. I would appreciate some assistance in understanding the situation and potentially resolving this matter, as I am eager to join your team as a driver. Thank you for your help.

Hello, I recently experienced a frustrating situation with a Lyft driver. Today, I ordered a ride, and despite being only a short distance away, the driver remained stationary for nearly 20 minutes without responding to my repeated calls. This led to me canceling the ride as I was running behind schedule and incurring a charge. Consequently, I was late for work, impacting my paycheck for the day. I am disappointed with the service and would appreciate it if this issue could be addressed promptly. Thank you.

I forgot to inform CC Co. about my trip to California, causing them to suspect fraud due to my first-time Lyft/Uber use, resulting in my card being blocked. Thankfully, the last charge didn't process due to an inquiry. Lester, the driver, was good, but his GPS led us in circles passing by the Coliseum/Ballpark twice, resulting in extra miles. The first Lyft from the airport to Mt. View Cemetery was $25 for 13 miles. Lester's departure from Bay Mall should cost the same or less. Please review the fee, inform me, and provide a way to update my Credit Card for payment. The last ride showed 19 miles, indicating extra distance due to the faulty GPS. I look forward to your response. Thank you.

I was looking into becoming an Express driver and exploring how it works. I've been driving for a few months but was curious about the requirements for the Express driver program. While checking it out for a friend, $[redacted].50 was unexpectedly withdrawn from my account without permission. I already have my own vehicle and did not intend to rent one. I urgently need this amount reimbursed as my rent is due soon and I can't afford to miss the payment. Kindly address this issue promptly. Thank you. Lyft driver Nathan Russell

I had a disappointing experience with Lyft at JFK airport. When my Lyft driver showed up with an SUV instead of the sedan I ordered, it felt unprofessional. Though the driver tried to persuade me to accept the SUV, I stood my ground and declined. I ended up canceling the ride and taking a taxi, only to be billed $10 later. While Lyft apologized and promised no charges, this incident has impacted my view of the company. I hope Lyft's customer service can assist in canceling this charge and prevent similar situations in the future, particularly at airports. Best, Tsering

I have been trying to contact someone at Lift since yesterday, August 30, [redacted]. I receive medical transport through Southeast Trans. Yesterday, they sent a Lift driver to take me home after my doctor's appointment. I was picked up at 1:07 by a man named Eddie, driving a blue Nissan Sentra with license plate number RLW0161. I have only used Lift for medical transport due to what I had heard, but after riding with Mr. Eddie, my perception has changed. He was courteous, provided me with dining suggestions, and went out of his way to answer my questions about Lift and more. Please acknowledge his professional and kind conduct. Thank you, Christine S. at [redacted] or [redacted]

I need assistance with a situation involving an accident caused by a Lyft driver named Ramona Sweatt back in February [redacted]. The driver hit my vehicle while it was being driven by my ex-girlfriend, Tina Doherty. Despite being the legal owner of the vehicle, Lyft paid out the claim to Tina Doherty instead of me. She retained the money without fixing the car, which seems like a fraudulent act on her part. I possess the police report indicating the driver's fault. To resolve this matter and have my vehicle repaired, I seek guidance on what Lyft can do for me, the rightful owner. Kindly reach out to me at [redacted]. I appreciate any assistance, thank you. - Scott Herskovitz

If I go to the gym, do I need to fill out the paperwork here, and can you tell me if you are going to the doctor or not? If I call you tomorrow, I'll let you know if it's okay to tell you something. I want to let you know because you might not do it. If you go to the bathroom or answer the phone, I'll call you because I'm there outside. I won't tell you to go to the bathroom. I need to do the work. Tell me the number on the card I sent you and let me know if you're not paying or if you are paying. Please do not pay the money and if I call you on the phone, you don't have to pay with the card, but if you answer the phone, I'll tell you because if I call you and go home to your mom if you are leaving.

I've experienced this problem twice in the last two weeks where the driver went to the wrong location even though I provided the correct address. When I called to inform the driver about the mistake, he was argumentative, yelled at me, and then cancelled the ride, yet I was still charged five dollars. This is now the second time this has happened recently, and I am very frustrated. I am requesting a refund for the charge and ten additional 50% discounted rides to be added to my account to make up for the inconvenience. One of my discounted rides was wasted due to this incident. I also had another unpleasant encounter with a different Lyft driver who threatened me, and I have provided a picture of their license plate for reference. This behavior is unacceptable, and I expect prompt resolution and appropriate action to be taken.

I was overcharged $70 for a $12 Uber ride that should have only taken 10 minutes. The weather was rainy, but it was no excuse for the driver to take a detour lasting an hour that depleted all the funds on my card. I demand a refund for the incorrect charge. The driver seemed to manipulate the situation to extend the trip unreasonably. I will take legal action if my money is not reimbursed promptly. I refuse to pay the additional $30 claimed by your company, as it drained my card leaving me with no funds for the next two weeks. This is the second time in a week this has occurred, showing a pattern of exploitation. I insist on getting my money back, no excuses.

I recently got approved to drive for Lyft in Carbondale, Illinois, but unfortunately, Lyft no longer operates in Carbondale. My account now shows that my driving area is Southern Illinois. How can I determine where to go to get riders within the larger Southern Illinois area, considering Carbondale is no longer an option? Lyft seems to have pulled out of the largest town in the region, so I'm unsure where to drive to pick up passengers. Any advice or assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
