I am writing on behalf of my son, a student in the USA. Ticket Holder: Jedidiah Kelechi Madubuko. Flight Booking Code: SGTOXU, Confirmation Number: [redacted][redacted]. The departure flight originated from Nigeria on 22nd August [redacted] (Abuja to Pittsburgh), and the return flight was set for 4th June [redacted]. We encountered a problem when the return flight schedule was changed without prior notification. Originally, the return flight was supposed to have a short layover in Frankfurt but was then altered to last for more than 24 hours, necessitating a German transit visa. This unexpected change caused him to be denied boarding, leading to an overnight stay at Frankfurt airport. Despite numerous attempts, he couldn't access the United Airlines system for his boarding pass. We reached out to Lufthansa staff for assistance who directed us to Nigeria for a resolution. Unfortunately, due to public holidays, we were unable to get timely assistance. Even after Nigeria resumed work, we struggled to get help. Our son remains stranded in the USA. As a result of this ordeal, we have faced significant inconvenience and monetary loss. We are arranging for his return on Sunday through Monday since the matter has not been addressed even after five days. We request compensation for the inconveniences, a rescheduled flight back to Pittsburgh, and an apology for the distress caused. We are prepared to provide further details as needed, including the original and altered schedules submitted to your Nigeria office. Thank you. Engr. Daniel Madubuko Father

My daughter recently took flight fh456 from Germany to Los Angeles and had a dietary requirement that was not acknowledged. Despite multiple inquiries to the flight attendants, she was not served any food during the 11-hour journey. As a celiac, she can eat food without wheat. This caused great distress as she was traveling alone. I am disappointed with the cabin crew's lack of assistance and their overall treatment of the situation. When I attempted to address this over the phone, I was abruptly disconnected. I am seeking an explanation for this unacceptable experience.

When I booked our flight from Houston, TX, USA to Rome, Italy, I was informed that seats are not assigned. It's essential for my family to sit together as my husband has hearing impairments in both ears, making it necessary for us to assist him. We are set to depart on Wednesday, June 19th. I have a disability letter available if required. We're hopeful that assistance can be provided to ensure we have suitable seats together for the journey. Thank you, Gary and Cheryl L. Hello, I have made a flight reservation from London to Izmir, Turkey with Apodo for July 29th to August 5th, [redacted]. My airline booking reference is NHZC26. My name is Meli Chantal Chongo. I have noticed that I am allowed 2 pieces of luggage for the outbound flight but none for the return flight. I have been attempting to add an extra bag for the return journey as I will only have one bag to fly back with. I am confused about the baggage allowance policy and why there are no bags included for my return flight. How can I add one bag for my return flight? Thank you.

My husband and I checked two suitcases on a round trip Lufthansa flight to Munich on March 27, [redacted]. We typically use our Chase Mileage Plus card for these bookings. However, the agent at the counter informed us that Lufthansa does not accept that card and charged us $[redacted].00 for the bags. He mentioned that only the black card would work. I also have a Lufthansa Miles & More blue card [redacted], which was not accepted either. Disappointed by the service in Boston, we ended up paying with American Express. No additional charges were applied in Munich or Nice, and the agents there were helpful. I have since reached out to Amex about this issue. Hopefully, Lufthansa can address this matter so that we can continue using their services for our future flights to Europe. Thank you, Beverly & Chuck Burns.

I flew from Frankfurt to Delhi on June 12, [redacted], starting in Innsbruck. My journey included a flight from Innsbruck to Frankfurt and then on to Delhi in economy class with etkt [redacted][redacted]/86. I had high expectations for Lufthansa, a reputed airline, and was proud to be traveling with them. I booked my ticket on April 13, [redacted], with booking reference Galilo: 5708D2 for a journey starting on June 6 and returning on June 12. However, upon check-in at Innsbruck at 5:30 am, I was informed my seat was on standby. Upon reaching Frankfurt Airport, I was shocked to learn they were overbooked and uncertain about my seat, despite my luggage already being checked through to Delhi. The lack of clarity and almost six hours of uncertainty, standing at the counter with my wife, left me frustrated and physically and mentally drained. Finally, after seeking help, my boarding passes were replaced with new ones, albeit in different rows. The lack of proper notification and customer care in such situations should be addressed to avoid such distressing experiences for passengers in the future.

I left my iPhone 6 Plus on Flight LH [redacted] which landed in Frankfurt on June 10, [redacted] from Abuja, Nigeria. I misplaced it while it was charging at seat 2K. I immediately informed Lufthansa's Cabin Found Property team, providing them with the phone's model and IMEI numbers, but I have not received any updates despite following up with reminders. This is not the level of service I expected from Lufthansa. I will be flying back to Nigeria on LH [redacted] from Frankfurt to Port Harcourt on June 23, [redacted], and I hope to have my phone back by then.

During my recent flight from Munich to Copenhagen on Lufthansa Flight [redacted] on June 19th, [redacted], I experienced a concerning incident. While seated in exit row Seat 11E, a laptop fell out of the overhead compartment and hit me on the left side of my face. Prior to the incident, I observed the flight attendant rearranging luggage in a haphazard manner due to limited space. When the flight landed, the laptop fell out when another passenger opened the compartment. Despite explaining the situation, I felt unfairly blamed for the incident and had to request ice and complete an accident report after most passengers had disembarked. The flight attendants' response was not satisfactory, as they initially denied responsibility for moving the laptop and lacked appropriate accident report forms on the plane. This experience was both physically painful and emotionally distressing, leaving me concerned about the safety standards on the flight. I am disappointed with how the situation was handled and the lack of support provided.

Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing to share my experience with Lufthansa regarding a compensation for a delayed flight. I provided all necessary bank details for myself and a friend for the bank transfer, including IBAN, SWIFT/BIC code, bank name, and account holder's name. While my friend received the transfer on April 16th, I have not received mine. Lufthansa indicated they lacked sufficient data, despite receiving the same detailed format as my friend. During a phone call on May 2nd, an assistant mentioned uncertainty in filling out the data correctly. Despite my reminders to contact me if issues arose, I was repeatedly directed to my bank. I possess a receipt of the transaction order, though the IBAN and SWIFT fields were left unfilled, as confirmed by my bank. Unfortunately, Lufthansa ceased responding to my emails since June 9th, leaving me feeling helpless. I have suggested corrections could resolve the matter swiftly, but there has been no further communication from them. I am unsure of the next steps to take in this situation.

My name is Garba Hassan Ahmad and my booking number is RQH9KQ for a flight from Paris to Abuja. During the booking process, the system requested my name in the format of first name, middle name, last name. I entered it as Garba Hassan Ahmad, but my ticket only shows two names (Gara Ahmad). After speaking with your staff, I was advised to rebook the same itinerary to be eligible for a refund. However, when I tried this, the ticket still showed only two names. I am reaching out for clarification and assistance. Is it necessary to change the ticket, or can the one I have serve its purpose given that you have my details in your database? I look forward to a helpful response. Best regards, Garba Hassan Ahmad [redacted] Dijon, France

Regarding the flight delay on LH1133 from Barcelona to Frankfurt on 12/6/[redacted] for Christena and Terence Toomey, we experienced inconvenience due to the missed connecting flight LH778 to Singapore. Although accommodations were provided, the limited food options during the late hour were not suitable for a diabetic diet. The delay led to missing a birthday celebration in Singapore and resulted in additional expenses, including extra hotel costs. We are seeking reimbursement for these unforeseen expenses incurred during the trip. We appreciate your attention to this matter and would like guidance on the process to submit a claim for review. Thank you, Christena and Terence Toomey.

Hello, my name is Michael G. I'm a first-year student at Drexel University currently studying abroad for the first time. It has been a very stressful experience for me. Unfortunately, my Grandma has been in the hospital during my time away, and I have not been able to see her much due to my school commitments and travel. I had a brief window of 4 days to visit her after 5 weeks at school before departing for Germany on June 15th. I am now in a difficult situation as my Grandma, who has a failing liver and other health issues, is being released on Hospice care from the hospital. This news has prompted me to try to come back home earlier. I am scheduled to return with Lufthansa Airlines tomorrow with a layover in Zurich, Switzerland. I'm hoping to find a way to return earlier to either Philadelphia International Airport or my preferred option, Newark International Airport. Any assistance in changing my flight would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I bought a Viking Cruise through AAA San Luis Obispo CA, with travel arrangements on Lufthansa Airlines. Flying in economy proved challenging for my husband and me as senior citizens. Attempted to upgrade the flights prior to departure, but upon arriving at the airport, Lufthansa didn't have a record of our supposed upgrade. Despite assurances from their representative, ended up being charged twice - $[redacted] and $[redacted] on my AAA Visa. Spent hours on the phone with Lufthansa but they weren't able to resolve the duplicate charge issue, even suggesting that I misunderstood the currency conversion. Frustrated with the lack of help and clarity from their customer service departments on this matter, currently working with AAA Visa and AAA Travel Manager to resolve the situation. Not looking forward to future flights with Lufthansa given this experience. - Elizabeth Laura Thomas Ticket No. [redacted] - Raymond Kolach Ticket No. [redacted]

Hello, I am Monika Advocate from the US. Recently, I rescheduled my nephew Michal Dabrowski's trip from Gdansk, Poland to JFK via Frankfurt on June 25 to June 26 due to a canceled flight. The new reservation code is UNS4UO. I spoke with your US agent yesterday around 1:30 pm to make this change. We were advised that confirmation emails for the updated itinerary would be sent to both Michal and me. However, we have not yet received any confirmation. As they are traveling with two children and the departure is nearing, it's essential to ensure the changes are in place. I kindly request to check the reservation change from yesterday and send us a confirmation promptly. Thank you for your assistance. Monika

I encountered a challenging situation at Munich airport that affected our otherwise smooth Lufthansa journey. The [redacted] bus from T2 to P41 was overcrowded last Saturday, leading to distressing moments as people struggled to disembark due to the door repeatedly closing on passengers and their luggage. Our child was left in tears on the sidewalk. Eventually, the driver informed us that the doors automatically close, and he couldn't prevent it. This seemed counterproductive. The attitude of the drivers on this route is typically unwelcoming, uncooperative, and indifferent to passenger welfare. In comparison, drivers at LHR are courteous and supportive. It might be beneficial to address this issue with the relevant authorities. In Germany, there seems to be a reluctance to voice complaints, resulting in poor customer service in some instances - although Lufthansa stands out positively.

Yesterday, I had a flight from Tirana to Warsaw with a layover in Frankfurt. Unfortunately, my baggage did not make it to Warsaw as promised by the airline staff in Tirana. This is very stressful for me as I am on a business trip, six months pregnant, and missing essential pregnancy pills. I am requesting information on the whereabouts of my luggage, compensation for the delayed delivery of my clothes and medication, and potentially a return ticket to Tirana due to the stress this situation has caused me. My scheduled return flight is on July 14th, but given the circumstances, I urgently need to resolve this issue and head back home. I have travelled extensively before and have never faced such an inconvenience. I hope for a prompt response from the airlines regarding this matter. Thank you. - A. Elezaj

I was charged twice for one ticket by Lufthansa. I have been struggling to get this resolved for a week. When I called their contact number, they were unhelpful and said they couldn't see the double charge or assist me further. They mentioned there is no direct customer service number, only provided an email for communication. This situation caused a significant issue as it led to a bounced rent payment and financial stress. The charges of $[redacted].00 on 6/29/19 and $[redacted].00 on 7/1/19 were both for the same flight and the same person, which is perplexing. I feel this is unjust and demand a refund promptly.

I recently returned from a trip to Paris, France, and Mallorca, Spain, and wanted to share my experience with my return journey from Mallorca on May 25, [redacted]. The entire trip was booked using United points. The United confirmation number was BF7LOK, and the Lufthansa confirmation number was J43JQA for Paula Rothman. The intended route was Mallorca (LH1821) to Munich to IAD, with a 40-minute layover in Munich. Unfortunately, the Lufthansa flight from Mallorca was delayed by 20 minutes, causing us to miss our connecting flight in Munich. The kind Lufthansa agent rerouted us through Frankfurt, allowing us to depart for IAD the next day on a morning flight instead of waiting for the late afternoon flight from Munich. Despite the helpful assistance and provided accommodations, the delays resulted in a two-day journey home instead of one. The issues encountered, including the late departure, missed connection, additional day off work, unsanitary bathroom conditions, and disabled bathrooms on the IAD flight, were quite inconvenient. I am seeking a resolution for these inconveniences, either through compensation or points redeposit into my United account (Acct. #FU023765 - 30,[redacted] points one way). Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I need assistance with a travel issue. I made a booking through Travelocity and my itinerary number is [redacted][redacted]. I booked a Lufthansa flight from LAX to Munich with a layover in Los Angeles before reaching Dubrovnik on Flight LH453 on July 10, [redacted]. When checking in on the Lufthansa app, there wasn't an option to select checked baggage. At the airport, we were surprised to be charged extra for checking in one bag each, despite Lufthansa's website confirming a free allowance for both carry-on and checked baggage. Our bags were under the weight limit, and as these were international flights booked from the US, it seems unusual to be charged for checked luggage. Due to time constraints, we had to pay the fees to avoid missing the flight. I seek assistance in resolving this issue and getting a refund of the baggage fees paid. Thank you, Erich
