Hello, I have a question about your user agreement. Can you please explain the specific circumstances under which you may permit clearly fictional profiles? Additionally, can you provide guidance on how these profiles should be constructed? It is crucial to emphasize the importance of authenticity on our platform. Users must use their real identities, providing accurate information about themselves. Misleading others by falsifying details about qualifications, work history, affiliations, or accomplishments is strictly prohibited. Regarding impersonation, it is against the rules to pretend to be someone else or falsely represent a business. Using another person's identity, photos, or personal data to mislead others is not allowed. Users must only create profiles for themselves as real individuals, and it is forbidden to misuse someone else's account. While there may be rare exceptions when clearly fictional profiles are permitted with prior approval, this does not undermine our policy against deceptive profiles or unauthorized affiliations with businesses or organizations.

I hired a digital marketing company for my business's online branding. They told me my LinkedIn account was restricted and requested my passport/ID for verification. Initially, I thought it was standard procedure, but then they claimed the verification wasn't possible. After investigating, I discovered they were using a pseudonym on the account. Now, even though the email for my account is in my name with the company domain, the LinkedIn account name doesn't match my actual name. I am frustrated as I have invested heavily in this and relied on LinkedIn for business, even having a premium account. I need this account back as my construction consultancy business heavily depends on it. I've been trying to contact the marketing company, but they are unresponsive. Please assist me in resolving this issue.

I have put a lot of time and effort into my account and would like to resolve this issue without losing access to it. My email is [redacted]

I need assistance in reporting a scam involving a job offer from a company called AALOG in Dubai. I was contacted by Leonora McMillan, who is no longer a member of the company. The information provided includes contact details such as phone numbers, emails, and company addresses. Another individual involved is Edwin Amir from Al Kafaah International Chemical. I want to report this scam and seek help with the investigation, as it all started on LinkedIn. Thank you for any assistance you can provide. Regards, Francisco Castellan

I have been a long-time member of LinkedIn with a substantial number of connections, estimated between [redacted] and 1,[redacted]. I am seeking assistance to resolve this matter with LinkedIn so I can regain access to my account.

I am concerned about a scam on LinkedIn through a fake user profile. The scammer is deceiving people out of money, using a false account despite several reports to LinkedIn. The fake profile link is: linkedin.com/in/joseph-williams-[redacted]74/. The legitimate profile is: linkedin.com/in/joe-williams-71b13192/. The real Joe Williams is verifiable at joewilliams.goldengatesir.com/eng. The imposter is misusing the true Joe Williams' real estate license. I would appreciate it if you could contact me via email to discuss addressing this issue.

Dear LinkedIn Team, I understand that LinkedIn is a platform for connecting businesses and individuals, not endorsing organizations. However, I believe LinkedIn should monitor and exclude criminal and inappropriate groups from utilizing the platform. Regarding the promotion sent, it's important to note that ESP, led by Keith Raniere, no longer exists due to legal issues. Many leaders have resigned and faced legal consequences. The skills taught in this program have been redirected to support victims and aid in recovery, not aligning with LinkedIn's values. It's recommended to disassociate LinkedIn from ESP, NXIVM, and related groups. Additionally, Barbara Jeske passed away five years ago. This situation doesn't reflect well on LinkedIn. Sincerely, Jim Edmondson

Hello, I have a legal inquiry regarding the use of LinkedIn. I have received a threat accusing me of stalking someone's profile, which I did not do. I am puzzled by this accusation since I believe that viewing public profiles is allowed on the platform. I did not engage with the person in question, nor did I attempt to connect with them. I simply viewed their profile once. I am unsure of my rights in this situation and it has made me hesitant to engage with others on the site. I would appreciate some clarification on what actions are permissible on LinkedIn to avoid any misunderstandings in the future.

I signed up for a premium account trial but did not use it. I was charged £[redacted].88 for an annual membership without any warning four days ago. I am requesting a refund on my credit card. I decided to try the premium features like profile anonymity and profile views, but found the navigation too complicated. I was dissatisfied with my experience during the trial. I do not plan to continue using LinkedIn and am willing to delete my account if necessary. Can I please be refunded at least for the 11 months, if not the first month? According to The Consumer Rights Act [redacted], I have the right to reconsider my purchase within a certain period of being charged. As an ordinary employee, these costly services are not within my budget.
