Hello,
A few days ago, I tried to log in, and the system requested two-step verification. I skipped it, and later it asked for a photo ID verification. After submitting the ID, I received an email informing me that my account has been permanently restricted.
This situation is distressing as I have connections with colleagues worldwide for scientific research, and this action will disconnect me from my network. I hope you understand the seriousness of this issue.
Thank you,
Rudra

I have two LinkedIn accounts to manage my two distinct careers separately. Recently, when trying to change the password for both accounts, I encountered an issue with one of them, let's refer to it as ACCOUNT AI. Even though I changed the password for the first account smoothly, changing the password for ACCOUNT B became problematic. Despite not utilizing two-step verification or my phone number for password recovery, I received a message stating that the password could only be changed from a recognized device. This was confusing as I was not relying on two-step authentication or my phone number. When attempting to reset the password for ACCOUNT B, I was informed that the email address was already in use on LinkedIn, even though it was my own. After trying to verify my identity with a photo ID, I found myself stuck in an endless loop.

Subject: LinkedIn Account Recovery
Issue: I originally signed up for LinkedIn with my work email, [redacted], which I can no longer access. I need help recovering this account by verifying my identity and updating it with my current personal email, [redacted]
Resolution: I want to recover my original account and switch it to my personal email since I left that employer in [redacted]. I tried following the website's instructions to verify my identity with my passport, but it didn't work as the email is already in use, which makes sense as it's linked to my old account.
I recently created a new account with my personal email but haven't used it due to lacking my old connections. If possible, please close this new account once my original one is recovered.
For communication, reach me at [redacted]
Thank you,
Nina

I canceled the premium trial twice on August 24th, the last day, but I did not receive a cancellation confirmation for either transaction. Instead, my account reverted to a basic status, and I was charged $54.XX the next day. The website failed to send the promised reminder. I noticed on my own. I have tried to reach out for assistance but have been unsuccessful. I am requesting an immediate full refund. Attempts to contact the company have been fruitless. This situation seems sketchy, especially after noticing several similar complaints.

I have two LinkedIn accounts that I am unable to merge because they are associated with the same email address, [redacted] The account I am unable to access holds the majority of my contacts and endorsements. Unfortunately, the options to merge accounts do not work due to the shared email address. Despite my efforts to seek solutions from forums and support resources, I have been unable to resolve this issue. When logged in to the account with only 32 contacts, I can find my other account by searching my name; however, I am unable to regain access to it. I would greatly appreciate any assistance in resolving this matter. - K. S.

I registered with the email [redacted] on LinkedIn, upgraded to premium, and linked my credit card. My account got restricted for sending invitations with my company page link. Despite upgrading to the business plan, I was asked to verify my account with a passport, but I only have an ID and a driver's license. This is urgent as I need my account back, and it's concerning that I can't communicate my issue even though my card details are on file. Kindly provide a solution promptly.

I recently upgraded my account with the email [redacted] to a premium plan, and my account has been restricted after sending invitations to members with my company's link. Despite having upgraded to a business plan, I would like clarification on why this restriction occurred.
I tried to verify my account with a passport, ID, or driver's license, but when selecting Egypt as my country, the only option provided was to upload a passport, which I do not have. I urgently need access restored and can provide my ID or driver's license for verification.
This situation concerns me as I am unable to communicate my issue and have my credit card linked to the account. I would appreciate a prompt resolution from your team.

I recently contacted Cory Boatwright via LinkedIn as he was the first executive I found on the platform. Unfortunately, I fell victim to a cybercrime that began on LinkedIn. After being referred for a marketing research job at Radius Global Marketing Research by a member called Mary Jo Hurley, scammers impersonated the company and defrauded me of $12,[redacted]. I have shared the emails with Radius Global, who are also contacting LinkedIn to address this issue. I have alerted my [redacted]+ connections about this scam. I am eager for someone from LinkedIn's corporate office to get in touch to discuss this matter. Being a long-standing and trusted LinkedIn user, I always considered it a reliable professional network. This incident has been distressing, and I bear full responsibility for not investigating thoroughly. I did not see this as a get-rich-quick scheme but as an opportunity to boost my retirement income, which unfortunately backfired. I have reported this to the Raynham Massachusetts Police and the Federal Trade Commission. Thank you.

Subject: LinkedIn Account Reactivation Issue
Hello LinkedIn Security Team,
I accidentally closed my account and then created a new one with the same email and password, but it did not restore my previous account with over [redacted] connections. I ended up with a new account showing 0 connections. After closing the second account and requesting reactivation, LinkedIn restored the account with 0 connections instead of the original one with my connections from several years. I kindly request your assistance in reactivating my original account with the connections intact. I appreciate your help and apologize for any inconvenience caused.
Thank you,
Hadi

I am experiencing an issue where someone contacted me claiming they found my phone number on Linked In, although I did not make it public there. The caller identified themselves as "Sue Anderson" but their tone suggested otherwise. They represented a company named Authors Press, which upon researching online seems to be associated with potential scams.
I am concerned about how they obtained my private phone number if it is not displayed on my LinkedIn profile. I appreciate any insights on this matter.
Thank you,
R. K.
There are several issues with this system: it requires details about the caller being a predator, justification for having my number, lack of notification, and alleged threats using LinkedIn.
Furthermore, the system is prompting for information that I've already provided: Username, Email on Account, Phone Number, and Name of Account Holder.
Lastly, unrelated comments have been made on this report, not addressing the original concern.

I have been unexpectedly charged for a premium account that I did not sign up for. I recently subscribed to the LinkedIn learning trail but missed the initial cancellation period before the trial was over. After canceling my subscription, I was still charged for another month. I urgently need a refund for the unauthorized charges, especially since it caused an overdraft fee from my bank. Please assist me in resolving this issue promptly. You can contact me at [redacted] or email me at [redacted] Thank you. - Tamba S.

Hello!
I wanted to share that back in May [redacted], someone hacked my LinkedIn account. Upon discovering this, I promptly informed LinkedIn and requested my account's closure.
Since June, I have been attempting to regain access to my account without any luck. I have replied to their emails asking for a signed affidavit without making progress. Additionally, I have tried calling LinkedIn at [redacted], but have only encountered a recording with no option to speak with a person.
MY ISSUE: I currently have two accounts, one with around [redacted] connections (the hacked one) and another with only 5 connections (active). The hacked account with [redacted] connections has Premium benefits, which I am being billed for monthly despite not being able to use them.
I am seeking guidance on how to recover my accounts and consolidate them so I can access the benefits for which I am paying.
Thank you for your assistance!

Hello,
I am looking to recover my previous account. However, I mistakenly created a new account while attempting to sign in.
My old account was linked to either [redacted] or [redacted], but I cannot recall which one. I am also unable to remember the password for that account.
I wish to access my old account to update it and change my current email address.
I have tried to reset the password, but it only affected the new account. Additionally, the merge account option required my old email and password, which I couldn't provide.
Could someone help me with this issue? Is there a contact number I can reach out to for assistance?
Thank you,

Yesterday, my account on LinkedIn had multiple connections added without my consent. Now, I'm unable to sign in via the mobile app or my laptop using my long-standing email address, [redacted] A friend noticed that my profile picture has been changed to someone else's, leading to concerns of a potential hack. Attempting to reach LinkedIn customer service only led me to an automated system that provided a corporate address in CA. This issue has been troubling, and I urgently require assistance. Hello, I'm an active LinkedIn user and recently signed up for a premium membership that is expiring soon. I used a personal account under the name of my business, B.Adedipe Associates, with the goal of boosting my business profile. Unfortunately, my account got restricted for violating the business name policy. I apologize for not changing the name as required.
I'm curious about what will happen to my premium subscription and if I'll still be charged for it. Also, I'd like to know the steps needed to reactivate my account. I'm currently in Nigeria, so I'm unsure about the best time to reach out to customer service.
I would appreciate your guidance on resolving this matter promptly.
Thank you,

I have the LinkedIn app on my iPhone, so I never have to log in. A couple of days ago, I received a notification on the app that I have six new notifications. When I clicked on the app, it prompted me to log in. However, I encountered an issue as LinkedIn did not allow me to sign in, stating my "user name or password is incorrect."
I attempted to reset my password by clicking on "forgot password," but when I tried to do so, I received a message stating my email address was not recognized in LinkedIn's database. It seems my account may have been hacked, as a friend mentioned receiving a message from me about a supplement recently.
I am requesting assistance in regaining access to my account, as it has taken me a significant amount of time to establish my connections. If retrieving my account is not feasible, I would like to proceed with deleting it to prevent any further spam messages being sent to my connections. Your help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

I am experiencing an issue with my LinkedIn app on my iPhone. A few days ago, I saw six notifications, but upon trying to log in, the app wouldn't accept my credentials. Even after attempting to reset my password, LinkedIn didn't recognize my email address. I contacted a number I found online, which turned out to be unofficial. The individual claimed my account was hacked, which was confirmed when a friend received a suspicious message from my account. The person I spoke with demanded money to fix the problem, so I disconnected the call. I urgently need to regain access to my account as I've built many connections over time. If that's not possible, I'll have to delete my account promptly to prevent further spam messages to my contacts.

I noticed two charges on my credit card statement, one for $[redacted].93 dated 8/24 and the other for $34.91 dated 8/29. These charges seem related to my closed job listing on LinkedIn. Here is an example of one of the charges:
- Merchant: LINKEDIN-[redacted]*[redacted]
- Transaction date: 08/24/[redacted]
- Card type: Mastercard
- Transaction type: Temp Auth / Pending Pymt
- Reference number: TEMP
It appears these are temporary authorizations or pending payments that may fluctuate before finalization. Final amounts might take up to 7 business days to be reflected correctly. If there are any suspicions of fraud, immediate action should be taken.
