I have a Hoover WindTunnel vacuum that I've owned for several years. Recently, I needed to have it serviced because the brush bar wasn't working, even with a new belt. The technician mentioned that Hoovers are not as durable as they used to be, and sometimes repairs can end up costing more than buying a new vacuum. This was surprising to hear, as traditionally Hoovers were known for their longevity and customers would upgrade to newer models for better features. I am now considering purchasing a new vacuum and unsure if I should stick with Hoover. Just wanted to share my experience with the company.

I purchased the UH71250 vacuum on 10-8-[redacted], using it twice a month for three rooms. Last week, it unexpectedly stopped working while vacuuming one room. After consulting the Troubleshooting section, it seemed the Thermal Protector was the probable cause. I unplugged it for 30 minutes, and it started again. This occurrence is concerning for a one-year-old vacuum used sparingly. I'm worried about the reliability. I have tried to reach customer service multiple times, enduring long wait times of up to an hour with no response. This level of service is unacceptable. Please contact me promptly at [redacted]. If this issue persists, I may need to take legal action under the "Lemon Law" for a replacement.

My Hoover self-propelled WindTunnel, model U6439-[redacted], was not propelling despite replacing both belts recently. After watching a video on replacing the actuator arm, I discovered a loose screw holding the cable that moves the actuator arm, preventing it from activating the drive motor. Tightening the T20 screw solved the issue, and now the unit is self-propelling again. Sometimes, a little poking around can lead to a lucky find.

I purchased one of your small shampoo units from Walmart. I followed instructions and took it to the designated service area in town with my receipt for warranty repairs. The service representative mentioned he would assess if it could be repaired or replaced under the warranty valid for a year. After waiting for over two months and persistent follow-up calls, he informed me that he misplaced the paperwork, hindering the replacement process. He mentioned disposing of the unit as it was damaged. The situation was mishandled, and I believe you should be informed. Additionally, I was informed he no longer represents your brand, and I seek guidance on how to proceed.

I bought the Hoover WindTunnel cordless vacuum from Marks Whole in Drums, Pennsylvania, two months ago. Yesterday, on 7/8/[redacted], while I was vacuuming, I heard a loud noise followed by a whining sound, and now the vacuum won't work. I made sure nothing was stuck in it. Please reach out to me regarding this issue. I am quite disappointed because I enjoyed using the vacuum for light cleaning. Due to my disability, I can no longer push my Dyson vacuum.

I recently purchased your cordless Impulse vacuum after hearing positive feedback from a friend. Initially, I was satisfied with its powerful suction and battery life. Unfortunately, the vacuum's performance has declined despite my efforts to maintain it by following the instructions, changing the filter regularly, and keeping it clean. I compared my experience with my friend who hasn't faced similar issues despite having a larger household. I have inspected all parts for blockages and ensured everything is connected properly, but the suction and battery life remain subpar. I am considering exchanging it for another Impulse vacuum, suspecting mine may be defective. If the replacement fails to meet expectations, I would like the option to swap it for a corded version. I have all the accessories and manual but no longer have the original box. Thank you for your assistance.

On November 11, [redacted], I redeemed my Air Miles Points to purchase a Hoover Air Cordless with Boost Upright Vacuum Cleaner. In October [redacted], one of the lithium rechargeable batteries failed. Under the 2-year warranty, I contacted Hoover Support for a replacement. They directed me to Village Vacuum in Bedford, Nova Scotia. The communication between Village Vacuum and Hoover seemed challenging. Eventually, I was informed Hoover no longer stocks the battery and would replace my cleaner instead. The new Hoover React Cordless Vacuum received in early [redacted] has been disappointing. While the Air Cordless had a longer battery life and was easy to use, the React model only operates for 20 minutes with issues like quick clogging, challenging disassembly, and a persistent high-pitched motor sound. Village Vacuum has closed, leaving me without assistance. I seek resolution as the new cleaner's performance falls short of expectations.

I recently bought the Hoover High Performance Elite WindTunnel vacuum cleaner, model number H72600. This is actually my second purchase of the same model. However, I've noticed that the one I have now keeps getting filled up with dust and dirt around the Chrome cones underneath the filter. This issue is causing a bad smell, unlike the one my mother has, which doesn't experience the same problem. Despite regular cleaning after each use, the odor persists. I wonder if I may have a faulty seal causing this. How can I go about getting this fixed? It has been like this since I purchased it, and I'm starting to be concerned. Thank you.

Hello, I am experiencing an issue with my Hoover carpet cleaner. I reached out via email and received a prompt response from David. Despite following the troubleshooting steps provided, the machine is still not working. I mentioned in my email that I do not have the receipt. David offered a 40% discount on a new Hoover purchase (excluding One Power or Smart Wash models), which he mentioned is saved under my phone number in your system. I have inquired about how to redeem this discount and where to purchase the new machine but have not received a response since my last email last week. The reference number at the bottom of the emails is: ref:_00DA0Yf5Q._5001M1QYorm:ref. The phone number associated with my account on file is [redacted].

I am reaching out for my friend, Catherine, a single mom to 14-year-old Lacey. After losing her job, they had to move in with her father, Bruce. Unfortunately, one night, Bruce suffered a fatal heart attack, leaving Catherine and Lacey to relocate to an apartment in Marin County. Feeling the absence of Bruce, I decided to get them a puppy to bring some joy back. However, the puppy has had some accidents in the house despite professional carpet cleaning. As a fellow mom of three, I could use a recommendation for an effective carpet cleaner that is gentle but efficient. Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time and consideration. Sincerely, Jennifer Swift

On November 22, [redacted], while using the Hoover Deluxe Upright Cleaner for approximately 15 minutes, a loud sound came from inside the cleaner, causing broken glass pieces to end up on the ground. The plastic box was also damaged, with the bottom box appearing swollen. I inspected the belt and it seems fine, but I was unable to open the box. I can provide photos if necessary. Am I eligible for a replacement? -Jack Tsuei

I purchased a Hoover Rewind in September [redacted] from HSN. I have been a loyal Hoover customer for years, but I am extremely disappointed with this vacuum cleaner. Around two months ago, it began stopping after running for a short period. I tried cleaning it, and yesterday I attempted to wash the filter and remove the hepa filter following the instructions, but I couldn't get it out. When I initially tried to contact customer service, I held the line for 45 minutes with no luck. The motor is still running, but the vacuum is spewing dust and debris. I am feeling very frustrated as I rely on this vacuum and don't want to incur service charges or have to purchase a new one.

I have a Hoover cordless Model #BH51120, about 10 years old, that I truly love. Recently, it is not picking anything up despite having great suction and being thoroughly cleaned. I took it to a vacuum repair shop where some debris was removed, but the issue persists. I bought a new corded Hoover, but I prefer the cordless one. I am seeking help to restore my beloved vacuum cleaner. Thank you, Gloria Schmelzer.

My wife and I purchased a new Hoover One Power Vacuum at the end of [redacted]. After using it for some time, she tried to charge the battery but it didn't charge. I bought another battery and used it once, but the new battery also didn't charge. I then ordered two chargers, model BH [redacted], but unfortunately, neither of the chargers charged the batteries. I even tried charging them with the Hoover charger that came with the vacuum, but no luck. I have returned the chargers back to Hoover in Ohio but haven't received any updates. I have the sweeper charger that came with the vacuum and two batteries, but nothing seems to work. I'm in need of assistance and guidance on what to do next as I've had the chargers charging for a day with the new battery but they remain uncharged.

My Hoover ONEPWR vacuum, with a 6-month-old MFG#[redacted]4 battery, suddenly stopped working. After fully charging the battery and placing it back in the vacuum, it flashed red and shut off. Putting the battery back on the charger showed a flashing red light, indicating a faulty battery. Now when I press the test button on the battery, only the first and third LEDs light up. This vacuum, a gift from my daughter, is now unusable without a working battery.

My Hoover model #BH53020, manufactured with code H18A AR, is no longer charging. Previously, it functioned well until I tried to charge it after use. The charge indicator does not illuminate, and the trigger feels unstable. I contacted a representative on Wednesday, who advised me to charge it for 24 hours and then call back if necessary. I still require assistance, but I no longer possess the receipt. Does anyone have any suggestions or tips that I could attempt, aside from the drastic measure of using a hammer?

Hello! I recently purchased a new cordless Hoover vacuum. There seems to be a small hole in the compartment where dirt collects, causing debris to accumulate between the inner and outer layers of plastic. I am unsure how to separate the layers to clean it properly. I believe the dirt and water are seeping through the holes where the screws are tightened. I apologize if this explanation is confusing, but I can provide photos via email for clarity. I might be missing an obvious solution, and I appreciate any guidance on resolving this issue before it potentially leads to mold growth. Thank you for your help! - Kailey

I purchased a hardwood mop and vacuum cleaner online for $[redacted]. Unfortunately, I didn't receive a model number or a confirmation email after providing my credit card details. I checked with my bank and confirmed the charge was made promptly. Despite not receiving a confirmation email, the vacuum arrived after a week. Upon assembly, I noticed it was leaking and not working properly. I tried contacting support but gave up after 30 minutes. I returned the vacuum via UPS, costing $58 for shipping. I am now out $[redacted] plus tax without a functional vacuum cleaner. It is frustrating to have to pay for return shipping from California to South Carolina. Waiting for a refund and dealing with these return procedures is disheartening. The order number is [redacted], and the return tracking number is [redacted]79. I am disappointed in Hoover's return policy and hesitant to purchase from them again. - Bill T.

I own a SmartWash cleaner. It works well on regular carpet, but I'm facing issues when using the hose for stairs or upholstery. When I press the trigger, the spray doesn't work. I've checked the hose for blockages by testing it with water/solution, and there doesn't seem to be any. The solution end on the SmartWash seems clean as well. I can press the gray "+" shaped piece, and it moves fine. I've successfully used the SmartWash on stairs before, so this is a new problem for me. I'd appreciate troubleshooting help via email or by calling 1-[redacted] during support hours. It's currently past the support hours for my US CT time zone.

Hello, my name is Emily Walk. I recently had an issue with my Hoover ONEPWR Cordless Jet that was under warranty. They provided me with a different product as a replacement, claiming it was similar. Unfortunately, this replacement does not function as expected and does not pick up water as advertised. When I raised this concern, the customer service did not assist me effectively. I would like to have the ONEPWR Cordless Jet replaced with the correct product so I can clean my floors properly without the need for manual scrubbing. Thank you for your help in rectifying this situation.
