The following are issues that customers reported to GetHuman about Hermes.com customer service, archive #18. It includes a selection of 20 issue(s) reported August 24, 2019 onward. If you have a similar customer service issue, this page will help you find current, up-to-date answers and solutions too.
I have checked the online system, and it indicates that three delivery attempts were made for parcel ID [redacted][redacted]. However, I can confirm that no courier appeared at my door during the alleged second or third attempts. I was vigilant, watching the entryway during the entire delivery window from 11 AM to 12 PM on both days with no sign of any couriers. Not a single calling card was left on either occasion.
Unfortunately, I am unsure who the sender might be as I am not expecting any parcels from Hermes. This recurring issue has now happened three times within three weeks. Previously, a different parcel received only one calling card on the first attempt, followed by no actual subsequent attempts or calling cards before being returned to the sender. Subsequent attempts by the same sender with Hermes failed with no couriers showing up at the premises despite claims of delivery attempts.
Given the repeated nature of these incidents, I have opted to use Royal Mail, which successfully delivered the package promptly without any issues. I am simply seeking reliable delivery of my parcels and wish to avoid any further complications with attempts that do not materialize.

Order Number: [redacted]5
I paid extra for Saturday delivery but faced issues with the delivery. Despite choosing to have the order posted through the letterbox, the tracking status showed delays. It later indicated delivery and a signature, but I never received it, nor was a card left. I've checked with my neighbors, to no avail. I'm distressed as I couldn't reach out to Hermes directly, and I needed the item for an event today, the reason I paid the additional delivery charge. I seek assistance in resolving this promptly, ensuring redelivery or clues from the driver on its whereabouts, as I am eager to locate it.

I am facing issues with a parcel sent through the Collect at Argos service. Despite the signature showing my customer signed for it in person, Argos claims they did not receive the delivery. The retailer, which is supposed to be contacted in such situations, denies responsibility as they are solely a parcel holding service.
The website suggests calling customer service, but the recorded phone message redirects to live chat or email options. However, live chat seems unavailable, and emails are not being accepted due to the retailer's phone number issue. I am disappointed with this customer service experience.
Having compensation cover for the lost parcel, I had to refund the customer £14.50 and now seek guidance on investigating lost parcels in the click and collect service. The parcel number is [redacted][redacted], and I require assistance on how to proceed with a claim.

I keep receiving messages asking me what I want Hermes to do! I need the exact house number my package was sent to. The courier must know the address. I only have a signature, no house number. The police need a house number to proceed with this theft complaint. Your service lacks communication. The courier didn't leave a card at my door. I am very disappointed and will not use your company again. My parcel, intended for my grandson, was left with my mentally ill neighbor; she wouldn't return it. Please resolve this issue. It's unacceptable and disgraceful how you conduct business.

I have contacted you multiple times regarding this issue, and I am extremely dissatisfied with the response I have received. I shipped a parcel with the tracking number [redacted][redacted] to Alison & David Collins at Rectory Farm, St Ives Road, PE28 3BT. The parcel was supposedly delivered on 06/08/19 at 11:38 am, but Hermes acknowledged that the delivery person forged the recipient's signature because they were not home at the time. Alison & David Collins informed me of this discrepancy after checking the tracking number upon their return. Despite providing all communication evidence to Hermes, including email exchanges, I have not received any further assistance. I had to refund my customer for the item and postage, amounting to nearly £40, in addition to the time wasted on resolving this issue. I request reimbursement for the cost of the goods and postage. Please contact me via email at [redacted] or [redacted]

Subject: Issue with Hermes Parcel Delivery
Hello,
I received a notification saying a parcel was delivered to my address, but when my son arrived home after receiving an email and text about a delivery from Hermes, the parcel was missing. The tracking number is [redacted][redacted]. The delivery was supposed to be made to 54 Devol Avenue, Port Glasgow, PA14 5XU, and it was said to be left under a green bag at the back of the shed. Despite the tracking stating it was signed for, nothing was there. There seems to be a discrepancy between the delivery notifications and the actual delivery. My son has not received the items and doesn't want to be held responsible for them.
Kind Regards,
Mrs. K Lawrenson

It seems my order was signed for and delivered to my address at 12 o'clock yesterday, but I was asleep in bed at that time. The signature on the form is not mine, as evident from past deliveries. I contacted Hermes, but was only able to speak with a shop assistant. Unfortunately, their attempts to access live chat were unsuccessful. They suggested reaching out to the company I made the purchase from. I attempted this, but they will not be available until Monday.

I had two parcels delivered to my home on August 29th, but I wasn't there when the driver left them in the communal electricity cupboard, which doesn't lock. I spoke to the driver who was very rude and upset me. He insisted he left the parcels in the "safe" cupboard when I know he didn't. The driver said he won't deliver to me again and told me to ask the residents, which I did, but they didn't see the parcels. I want to file a complaint about his disrespectful behavior. I have contacted the sellers who have emailed you about this issue. The items can't be replaced, so I'd like a refund. One of the items was a build a bear costing £36.26, with tracking number [redacted][redacted]. My address is 35 Cherry Tree Court, Fleetwood, Lancashire, FY76BU, and my mobile number is [redacted]. Thank you, S. Clarke.

I left two packages for return at Bargain Booze in Walshaw, Bury BL8 3AZ back in August. I used the shop's label printer to attach Amazon return labels and handed them to the shopkeeper. I received one blue receipt for both parcels. Since then, Amazon confirmed receiving only one item from the first return and processed a refund. The second return hasn't been acknowledged yet. The receipts I received lacked dates and parcel numbers. Tracking shows one parcel on 06/08 (P[redacted]) and one on 10/08 (P[redacted]). I need clarification on which receipt pertains to the first two parcels and confirmation if the second parcel reached Amazon as I am missing a refund of £70.87.

I am extremely frustrated with the Hermes delivery service. Despite repeated complaints, the delivery person continues to leave packages on our doorstep or even in the bin without properly notifying us. Today, I was eagerly waiting for an ASOS package for an event, ensuring I would be home all day. Shockingly, the delivery person did not ring the doorbell, and the package was left unattended on the doorstep. To add to the frustration, my neighbor saw the package but did not pick it up assuming it was placed there intentionally, which was not the case. After searching, I realized the package was missing, possibly stolen due to the delivery person's negligence. I have raised this issue multiple times, and I expect a refund for this unacceptable service.

I made a purchase from JD Sports on Friday, August 30th with next day delivery. I paid additional fees for this service. Unfortunately, the order was not delivered on Saturday, August 31st. JD Sports informed me that the address was not located, which seems unlikely as I was waiting at home all day. I have reached out to JD Sports, who have contacted the delivery service, but they were unable to provide a new delivery time. I urgently need this order as I have missed appointments waiting for the delivery. I am extremely disappointed with the service and the lack of updates on the tracking information. I hope to receive a new delivery time soon to avoid further inconvenience.

Dear concern,
I am writing to report an issue with my parcel from the seller cucu.fashion. The delivery person mistakenly delivered it to the wrong address and it was signed for by someone named Monia. Despite contacting the seller and expressing my situation, no resolution has been offered. I am disappointed with Hermes delivery service, which I paid for when purchasing the goods. I urge for a fair investigation into this matter and request a detailed review of the delivery records. This is not the first time I have faced a delivery problem, and I have a specific way of receiving parcels which was not followed in this case. I have verified with my neighbors, and none of them received my parcel. I hope for a prompt resolution. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Sincerely,
[Redacted]

I had a scheduled delivery, and the driver agreed to take the parcel to ASOS, scanning it (or said he had), but just handed over a paper with an undecipherable signature and left quickly. I have not received a response after querying this with ASOS. The driver who drives a blue car and calls regularly in my area will be confronted next time. I provided the tracking number, date, and time of pickup for reference. If there is no resolution, I will escalate this to the authorities and my legal department at work.
Details as previously provided:
- Parcel delivered from ASOS by Hermes at 11:01 on August 12th, Tracking Number: [redacted][redacted]
- Returned parcel to the driver for ASOS, Order number: [redacted]80
- Driver scanned the parcel, signed a paper, but did not return to ASOS.

I recently contacted your live chat and was abruptly disconnected. My parcel, a LOL Bubbly I won in a Facebook raffle valued at £29.99, was left in an unsecure location in front of my house instead of the agreed upon safe spot while I was on holiday. It should have been either kept safe or given to a neighbor. I am disappointed that it was left in such a vulnerable place. I have attempted to reach out to the courier multiple times, but have not received a response. I need a replacement LOL Bubbly as soon as possible or a refund so I can purchase another. The unsafe delivery location resulted in the item being taken. Kindly assist in resolving this issue promptly. Thank you.

I recently attempted to arrange a parcel return through Hermes to be collected and sent back to Studio with the return reference numbers [redacted], [redacted], and [redacted]. After trying to pay for the service five times, I noticed my account was charged each time, totaling £14. Despite this, the parcel was not collected. Upon contacting Studio, they kindly offered to pick up the parcel at no additional cost. Therefore, I no longer need the Hermes return service and would like a refund of £14 for the duplicate charges. Unfortunately, I have been unable to reach a customer service representative using the provided phone numbers. I find this lack of communication disappointing and frustrating. If my refund request is not processed promptly, I will have to escalate the issue further. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Sincerely,
Joanna Alvey-Wright

Last Saturday when I was out, a parcel was delivered and left with my next-door neighbor. The card left only had a number1 indicating where it was left, and the barcode is [redacted]3. There is no name or date on the card. I have been struggling to find a phone number to report this situation as I prefer not to use email due to my poor eyesight. Despite my neighbor not recognizing the parcel, we often accept packages for one another. The tracking information shows the parcel was delivered and signed for, which is unusual as sometimes delivery personnel sign on our behalf. I hope you can use the barcode to determine where the parcel was meant to be sent, as I am unsure which order this parcel relates to and I don't want to be mistakenly charged for an item I did not receive.

The driver didn't wait for even one minute for the package to be located in the building. I cannot emphasize enough how frustrated I am with this choice. He was only gone for about two minutes. I have to return items to Amazon for a refund, and now, due to this selfish decision, I have to borrow money to cover expenses. The service is appalling, and I am extremely irritated. Please call me immediately to address this. [redacted]7. Please avoid emailing me; I need this matter resolved promptly.

I would like to inquire about the parcel I paid to be delivered and signed for. Unfortunately, the package was thrown over a fence and the item inside was damaged upon delivery. The tracking number for the original parcel is [redacted][redacted], and a blue card was left indicating it was at the back. The signature on file does not match that of my customer and seems to be a scribble from the delivery person. I have pictures of the damaged item and the blue card left. I now need to send a replacement, incurring additional costs. The new tracking number for the replacement is [redacted][redacted]. I would appreciate an urgent response with your findings on this issue. Thank you, M. Walden.

I placed an order with ASOS on Tuesday, March 9, [redacted], and paid for next day delivery. Despite waiting in my office all day on Wednesday, the package didn't arrive as scheduled. After multiple calls to ASOS and frustrating interactions with Hermes, I was given a new delivery time for Thursday. The delivery window changed from 12-2, to 2-4, then finally to 7-9 pm without any updates. The delivery was made to an office building where no one was present after 8 pm, with no calling card or attempted delivery email. Despite contacting ASOS once more, there was no resolution. I rely on this for work and needed it on Wednesday. Disappointed with Hermes' lack of customer service and professionalism in handling the delivery.

Upon arriving home, I found a delivery card indicating my parcel was left at the "porch" with a note saying "behind bin." Unfortunately, despite the reference number [redacted]1 on the card, there was no sign of the parcel. Unlike previous experiences with Hermes, this time there was no prior email or text with tracking information. I have thoroughly searched around our property and our neighbor's, considering our secluded cul-de-sac location. It is worth mentioning that a different Hermes delivery just yesterday came with the usual email and text notifications. I kindly request assistance to identify the delivery driver, confirm the supposed delivery location, and clarify the absence of pre and post-delivery notifications.
