I recently received my subscription renewal and noticed that the rate was not adjusted back to the previous billing amount of $58. I called customer service, and they assured me the rate would be corrected, with a credit issued to my credit card. However, upon receiving the bill, I discovered that the subscription renewal rate remained the same.
Additionally, I have experienced multiple occasions where the newspaper was not delivered on Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays, with inconsistent replacement deliveries. I find this rate increase unreasonable and request that the original amount be reinstated, along with a refund for the previous billing cycle.
If it is not possible to revert to the previous rate, I kindly request the cancellation of my subscription.

I am facing an ongoing issue with my delivery service from The Hartford Courant. The delivery person is inconsistent and I do not receive my paper daily as promised. I have been experiencing delivery issues with missing papers from the Hartford Courant for the past month. Despite being promised same-day delivery, there have been instances where the paper arrives late or not at all. Today, on 5/19/22, the paper did not arrive again. After multiple calls, I was assured of delivery, but it still did not arrive. When I called customer service and spoke with a representative (possibly named Reis), she hung up on me after my third call. This has been the worst delivery service experience in the last 3 months, coupled with poor customer service in addressing complaints.

The digital delivery in the morning is unreliable. Lately, I've received the paper at 6:55AM and 12:57PM. On Sundays, the delivery is as late as 9:30AM, and on Fridays and Saturdays, it's even later. Today, the paper hasn't arrived at all. Additionally, I'm disappointed that The Courant is reprinting articles from The New York Times instead of providing original content. I declined a special edition offer, but was still charged $38.48. After a frustrating experience with customer service, I've decided to cancel my subscription.

I am experiencing frequent missed newspaper deliveries. For example, I did not receive the Saturday paper (August 6), and after requesting delivery for the following day, Sunday (August 7), only that issue arrived. I have not been receiving the daily newspaper for several weeks now unless I make a complaint through the phone service, which has been unfriendly. In the past week, there were only 3 deliveries without me having to call; the other times, when I call, the paper either arrives late in the day or with the next day's issue. It is frustrating and upsetting because despite reporting it multiple times, nothing has improved. Delivery issues have occurred before in Spring Lake Village in Southington. Although we pay ahead to prepay for the editions, I will not prepay until this problem is resolved. I was informed some time ago that there is no regular carrier and that office staff deliver the papers, which is not acceptable. It is important that this situation is addressed promptly.

I have not received my subscription for the past 7 days despite my phone calls to you about this issue. I receive the same response each time. I chatted with an expert, and the best they could do was to send me to a service that wants a dollar to help me explain my problem. This is ridiculous because the Courant is at fault. Every location that said, "Talk to an agent" was a false statement. I was never able to reach anyone by telephone except the daily person who answers the phone call when you fail to get a paper. Every day, the response was the same. We have notified the distributor. Well, the distributor has done nothing to correct the situation. I have been a Courant subscriber since [redacted] and expect better service.

For the past ten days, I have been facing issues with my paper delivery despite reaching out to Customer Service daily. As an 86-year-old with a back problem living at the end of a steep driveway, I have repeatedly asked for the paper to be placed on my front porch. This used to be the practice for an extended period. Today, a helpful neighbor brought the paper down at 12:50. I intentionally removed the Courant box years ago. I did not receive my T.V. Weekly this past Sunday. I contacted customer service, and they assured me it would arrive by 1:30 PM that same day, but it never did. When I called on Monday, I was informed that delivery only occurs on Sundays and I would have to wait until the following Sunday for a copy. This situation is frustrating as I will miss out on the week's TV schedule. I have faced issues with both the Courant and the T.V. For the past seven and a half weeks, my newspaper hasn't been delivered. They informed me about a substitute carrier experiencing difficulties delivering to my address. Juniper Hill Village is a senior housing community in Storrs, CT with [redacted] apartments. Some residents receive the Hartford Courant, but there have been issues with delivery. Previously, the papers were left inside the building with apartment numbers, now they are left outside without any identifiers. I have not received my newspaper since Friday, April 21st. Despite calling every day, I receive the same response that it will be delivered. I have spoken to two supervisors who assure me the paper will arrive, but to no avail. While they have credited me for the missed papers, all I want is to receive my newspaper. I have provided my address and phone number multiple times. I urge for this issue to be resolved promptly as I simply want my newspaper. If the problem persists, I will have to consider canceling my subscription and filing complaints. It should not be this difficult to receive a newspaper that I have paid for until June.
