Hello, I recently purchased a dining table set from Walmart that includes assembling. However, I've had trouble scheduling the assembly despite contacting your department twice. Despite assurances, I have yet to receive a call or email to confirm the appointment. I would appreciate it if someone could come to my home promptly to fulfill the assembly service that I paid for. Here are my details: ID: [redacted][redacted] Phone: [redacted] Email: [redacted] Please get in touch with me soon to arrange for the assembly. I have the receipt showing the $95 payment I made for this service. Thank you, Maryam R.

After I downloaded the app, I got a notification indicating that I was off the waitlist and could start working after following some steps. I completed the verification process and scheduled a job as instructed by the app. However, when I checked later, the job I had booked was no longer there. I repeated the process around 8 times, but every time I exit the app, my profile reverts to 75% complete and prompts me to select a job again. I am confused as to why this is occurring and how I can successfully book a job.

I recently had a poor experience with the workmanship on my roof extension. The tar paper had to be redone by another contractor, costing me an additional $1,[redacted]. The original carpenter claimed to have 20 years of experience but worked at odd hours and in poor lighting conditions. He demanded payment in full before completion and became aggressive when I refused. After facing threats, I involved the police and reported him and his alleged foreman, an 82-year-old. I worry about potential retaliation for speaking out. I want to warn others about my ordeal. While painting my walls, I also noticed that he stole $85 worth of custom-colored paint. As a 76-year-old, I feel taken advantage of and want to prevent others from facing similar situations.

I had a 3:30 appointment scheduled for a technician to come and install my TV mount that I bought with my TV. Unfortunately, the technician hasn't arrived yet, and I can't track their whereabouts because I can't log into the Handy app. I've been unable to reset my password because I'm not receiving the reset email. Without a customer service number to call, this experience feels unprofessional. At this point, I am considering requesting a refund and installing the mount myself if necessary.

Handy deactivates its Pros without warning, making it impossible to access payments and schedules. This feels deliberate, like a scheme to cheat workers out of their earnings. I'm frustrated as I haven't been paid for several jobs totaling $[redacted], including a return fee and garage openers. Despite multiple attempts to resolve this issue without success, contacting them on Twitter or Instagram yields rapid responses. I even turned to making TikToks about my experience with Handy. I believe I deserve to be compensated for the work I have completed.

I joined Handy Pro at the beginning of December, and as of December 29, my application is still listed as processing on the app. I reached out via email a week ago but have yet to receive a response. I am unable to contact them, and I'm unsure of what steps to take next. I've attempted reinstalling the app, updating it (which was necessary), and even tried accessing the website but it claims my email is incorrect.

A friend recommended your company to me, mentioning good deals. After researching your prices and reading positive reviews, I decided to book a one-bedroom cleaning for $20 with a coupon. Initially pleased with the service, I was surprised by a $96 charge for the following week. I would like a full refund for both weeks due to the lack of clear communication and misleading pricing. Cancel my service and refund my money promptly. The disparity in charges without prior notice reflects poorly on your business ethics and will influence my public review.

This is the third time our "professionals" have rescheduled our cleaning service. We signed up over a week ago, and no one has shown up yet. We are extremely disappointed with the service and have had to pay other cleaners in the meantime. I am requesting an immediate cancellation of all cleaning services and plans along with a full refund. I do not believe I should be charged a cancellation fee for the 3-month plan I signed up for due to the unreliable service. We have rearranged our schedules multiple times, stayed home for appointments, and prepared the house for cleaning on three different occasions. Each time we have scheduled someone, we have to ensure we are home and ready with supplies. It is frustrating and unacceptable to reschedule three times in a row. Please cancel our services without any penalty, so we do not have to keep planning and waiting for a service that never happens. Sincerely, Micah A. H.

Subject: Appointment Cancellation - Handy Reference Number: [redacted]2 Dear Handy Team, I am writing to inform you that I have cancelled the appointment associated with reference number [redacted]2. I wanted to clarify that my company, Hire A Housewife, has not signed up to be providers for your platform nor have we agreed to your payment terms. I recently received a call from a person named Christy Bolio, who failed to disclose that she was representing Handy.com. As we have not established any partnership with your company, it was misleading for her to schedule an appointment under false pretenses. Our company prides itself on direct client communication and providing tailored services, which may not align with Handy.com's practices. I attempted to cancel the appointment through your website but encountered difficulty as I am not a registered user. Please ensure that this cancellation is processed promptly to avoid any confusion. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Sincerely, K. Reuschel Hire A Housewife Peoria, IL

I had a job in Seneca on February 4th, [redacted], which was supposed to be a two-day project. Despite attempting to reach out, I received no response. I was charged $50 for a no-show on the 5th. I spoke with the customer who needed roof repair and explained that the shingles they need are in high demand and hard to find at stores like Lowe's, Home Depot, and ABC. Even after spending hours contacting the customer and visiting various places, the job from the 4th remains incomplete. I now have another job scheduled in Greer at 1 pm, but the distance between Seneca and Greer makes it impossible to reach in 20 minutes. The initial job was meant to be a 16-hour, 2-day project, but it seems like the issue with obtaining shingles should have been addressed beforehand considering the material shortages at major stores. Can you provide assistance with this situation?

I recently went to a moving job in Bedford, it was my first day. Unfortunately, when I arrived, they expected me to bring a second person to assist, which wasn't communicated to me beforehand. I'm new to the job, and they didn't mention requiring another person for the pay they offered. It seems like the person scheduling the jobs should ensure that two people are assigned. I don't want to be charged for this misunderstanding. I would appreciate a refund as I wasted time and money on gas for no reason. I have another job scheduled later, but due to this experience, I'm hesitant to proceed. I don't want to risk a $20 charge, but I can't find anyone to speak to for assistance.

I am Crystal Scott. I recently started working with a company. This morning, I went to a customer's place for a job at 11:30 AM. On my way there, I clicked the button to indicate my arrival. Unfortunately, when I reached the customer's residence, I faced mistreatment from the neighbors. They acted as if I was unwelcome, taking photos of me and my vehicle numerous times. I tried contacting the customer by ringing the doorbell, calling out, and phoning their home, but received no response. I captured a photo of the customer's house with the address visible to show that I was there. The issue was on the customer's end for not being available, and I felt uncomfortable due to the neighbor's behavior. My phone died during this ordeal because it was on navigation for the hour-long drive. I had to return home to charge my phone before reaching out via email. I am deeply upset by this experience and would appreciate speaking with a representative to address this situation properly.

I have a job this morning, but I lost my main phone that has all the job details on it. I can't access my phone as I'm using my backup phone, but Google won't let me into my account. They keep asking me to verify, but I no longer have access to the email they want. I need to download the Handy app from Google Play for my job in Prattville. I messaged a lady with the area codes [redacted] and [redacted], but I don't have the complete number. Please send me a message at [redacted], which is my backup phone. I'm unable to access any information or log in to the company's website as it says my password is incorrect. I am an hour and a half away from where I need to be this morning at 7 or 9 o'clock without the address or means to contact the customer. Apologies for any errors as this is a hurried and unedited talk-to-text message.

I am almost finished with my Handy platform application, but I encountered an issue with uploading my government-issued ID for verification. I received an email instructing me to upload the ID through the app on my smartphone, but I am having trouble with the process. I want to make sure my application is complete so I can start claiming jobs.

I have two appointments scheduled for tomorrow, one through Wayfair and the other directly with the handyman service. I recently received a text message informing me that the second appointment is canceled, but no mention was made regarding the first appointment. I find this lack of communication unacceptable, especially after waiting for two weeks. I need clarification on whether the handyman will still be arriving at 10 am for the Wayfair appointment, or if they will not be showing up at all. I had to take time off work for these appointments, and I have already paid a total of over $[redacted] - the amount paid to Wayfair for assembly and the payment made directly to your service. If no handyman will be coming, I require an immediate refund. Improved communication is crucial in situations like this.

Today, I had a technician attempt to install a TV mount, but due to building construction, he was unable to complete the job. He declined to install it on a different wall, leaving the task unfinished. I compensated him for his time and now I wish to request a partial refund since the service was not completed. I value the $80.00 I spent and would appreciate a resolution. I previously contacted the company via a different method, and despite being assured a response within an hour, I have yet to hear back after several hours. Thank you, D. Willey.

I am facing issues with Handy charging me no-show fees although I operate as an independent contractor with my EIN and DBA. Despite not receiving employee benefits like health insurance or overtime, they restrict my schedule like an employee when I cannot reschedule appointments. When I had to travel 97 miles for a job that turned out to require more time and tools than expected, I was marked as a no-show, incurring a $50 fee. Even after contacting the customer and HomeAdvisor multiple times to explain the situation, I still faced the fee. Due to these frustrating experiences, I will no longer use HomeAdvisor or Handy, and I caution others to avoid them due to their problematic practices.

Hello. My name is Sidney Sabio. I used the phone number [redacted] and the email [redacted] to create a HandyPro account. I recently worked for less than two weeks. I encountered difficulties understanding and navigating the app, resulting in canceling a few jobs outside the cancellation window and incurring fees. Despite this, I completed all 22 jobs. When I last checked, I was owed $[redacted] and $[redacted] and had no outstanding fees. Suddenly, I was logged out and informed of a suspension without receiving my payments. I am unable to log in to update my bank information and have had no luck contacting HandyPro directly. I have checked my email, including spam and trash, but have received no relevant messages. I worked hard and deserve to be paid for my services. This situation doesn't seem fair to me. Thank you.

Good evening, I am Ryan L. I recently applied to be a Handy Pro. I have a past felony from about 5 1/2 years ago during a difficult time of drug abuse. I have since turned my life around, maintained sobriety, and have had no legal issues since. I am active in my community, belonging to the American Legion Post and the Fraternal Order of Eagles. I have the support of reputable witnesses, including my former judge. I understand any concerns about liability but ask for a chance as I am trustworthy, reliable, and dedicated to helping others. Thank you for your time and consideration. Ryan L.

I had a client who listed a job for a small apartment cleaning of two bedrooms and a bathroom for three hours with a pay of $45. Upon arriving, I discovered it was actually a move-out job. The condition of the apartment was shocking: feces smeared on the walls, bugs, food and vomit all over the floor, burn marks, bumblebees, and a moldy refrigerator. To make matters worse, the client had a one-year-old child, left alone in the car during the inspection. The level of filth in the apartment was distressing, with handprints, scratches, and a damaged closet. After explaining that it would take more than three hours to clean, the client broke down, claiming financial difficulties. Despite canceling my next appointment and cleaning for her free of charge for eight hours, she only gave me a $20 tip, saying it should suffice. This unexpected deep cleaning job caused damage to my equipment due to lack of preparation and costs for additional cleaning products. Not only did I lose $50 from the canceled appointment, but her low rating led to my account deactivation, resulting in an $80 loss from today's scheduled job. I have evidence in the form of pictures of the apartment and screenshots of our conversations to support my experience.
