I recently purchased the H&R Block Deluxe Federal + State [redacted] Tax Software for download. After completing my Federal taxes with no issues, I encountered a problem when attempting to start my Tennessee state taxes. The software stated that based on the information I provided, I didn't need to file a state tax return for Tennessee. However, since I am required to pay tax on Capital Gains in Tennessee, I still want to fill out a state return. Unfortunately, Tennessee is not listed for download in the software. In the past, I have used H&R Block software to file my Tennessee state taxes, so I am unsure why it's not available now. If Tennessee is not an option for download, I would like a refund for the difference between the software with a state option and the one with only Federal.

I received the H&R Block Deluxe Edition as a gift from my sister, Margaret L. The package was supposed to include a CD, but it hasn't been sent to either of us. The activation code M4E3U-C7F75 was sent to my email address, even though Margaret's home address was used for billing. Kindly send the CD to either Margaret or me directly. It would be helpful to have separate fields for billing and shipping addresses to simplify gifting.

Dear Customer Service,
I received the H&R Block Deluxe edition from my sister, Margaret L., as a Christmas gift. The package was supposed to include a CD, but it was missing. The activation code I received is M4E3U-C7F75. The purchase was made with Margaret's credit card and her address, but my email was used to send the code to me. Kindly send the CD to either Margaret's address for her to forward to me, or directly to me. The gifting process could be improved by having separate billing and shipping address fields.

I recently contacted H&R Block using the email address provided to address an issue with activating my downloaded software. Despite importing last year's information and filling in new data, I have been unable to activate the program using the provided code. I have followed instructions in the app and on the FAQ page but have had no success. The support channels I have tried, including the FAQs, ChatBot, and phone system, have not been helpful. I visited the local HR Block office for tax preparation. The tax preparer had trouble understanding why the IRS increased my taxes this year. Despite my eagerness to pay what was due promptly, she filed my taxes with an overpayment of $1,[redacted]. When I noticed the error and requested a correction to reclaim the excess amount from the IRS, she declined. As a result, the IRS imposed a $20 penalty for insufficient funds in April [redacted]. I submitted Form [redacted] to rectify the situation and have the additional funds deposited back into my checking account. I am disappointed by this costly mistake and expect HR Block to rectify it promptly.

I initiated working with H&R Block a month ago and shared all necessary information. However, for the past two weeks, my attempts to reach out have been disregarded. Despite sending multiple messages stressing the nearing deadline and requesting updates, I have not received any responses. When I tried calling, I was informed that only the assigned agent could assist me, and I had to await their contact. They scheduled a phone appointment for today at 2:30 PM, but the agent failed to call. Upon my follow-up call at 3:10 PM, I was informed they were occupied and unable to indicate when or if I would receive a call. Subsequently, I reached out to customer support, asking for immediate contact from a supervisor. They assured me that a supervisor would reach out within an hour, but I did not receive any calls. Today, on the deadline day, I find myself in a difficult situation after placing trust in H&R Block, and I am uncertain about what steps to take next. Instead of providing assistance, it seems my situation may worsen due to my reliance on their service. I am feeling lost and desperate for help at this point.

I purchased H&R Block Premium and Business software online from H&R Block, which included 5 free federal e-files. After using the free e-files and attempting to file additional tax returns, I encountered issues with the system and was unable to file the sixth return, despite expecting to pay $9.95 for each additional e-file. To resolve this, I bought a second software package but faced the same problem when trying to e-file. I believe H&R Block should address the software error regarding additional e-files and refund the cost of the second software package I purchased.

I recently filed my mother's taxes with your service after 12 years of not filing due to my father's passing. I sent an email to H&R Block three days ago and have not yet received a response. My spouse and I file our own taxes, are married, file jointly, have no dependents, are American citizens, and have active Social Security numbers. We received two stimulus checks but did not receive a third one. Based on the information available online, if we meet all the criteria mentioned above, we should be eligible for the third stimulus check, which was supposed to be added to our tax refund. However, the IRS website now states that we will not be receiving the third check. I have carefully reviewed the information on both the H&R Block and IRS websites, and unless I am misunderstanding something, we should qualify for the third check. I would appreciate the opportunity to speak with a live customer service representative online rather than having to communicate solely via email.

I paid for my state taxes to be filed, but encountered ongoing issues with the software updates causing delays. Despite being assured by my tax professional, Harrold Daniels, that it was submitted in May, the Ohio Dept. of Taxation never received it. After being told there was a software problem causing rejection, it was suggested I file it myself. I have kept records of all communication in my MyBlock account. Despite previously using Mr. Daniels without issue, I am disappointed with the service this year and will not be returning. I paid for a service that has not been delivered smoothly, with fees deducted from my federal refund. I seek completion of my state taxes and fulfillment of the peace of mind guarantee as advertised. The process has been anything but peaceful, and I am still waiting on my state refund.

Hello, I'm seeking assistance with my tax refund issue. The refund was sent to an H&R Block Emerald account, which I don't have. I've been in communication for four months, trying to resolve this. My H&R Block online account was hacked. My information was changed, including my phone number, which was linked to a Google account. The hacker deactivated my card and activated another one. Money was withdrawn from my tax refund within a couple of hours, even though I was far away from where the transactions occurred. I was unaware of this because my phone number was changed, and I did not receive any alerts. The only notification I received was that my refund was loaded onto the card. I discovered the issue when my card was declined at work. I had just received the card in the mail with my name on it two weeks prior. Since March, H&R Block has been giving me the runaround. I have decided not to use their services again.

I recently spent two weeks in jail, and while I was incarcerated, my card unexpectedly shut off while my fiancé was out shopping. Upon my release, I was informed I could obtain a temporary card and transfer my funds, however, this proved to be unsuccessful due to error message [redacted] from H&R Block. After a frustrating 10-day ordeal, my case was eventually escalated. Currently, over $6,[redacted] of my money is being held without the ability to access it, receive a check, or any form of resolution. With bills, rent, low gas, dwindling supplies, and an unreliable vehicle, I am unsure of what steps to take next. Since March, I have experienced multiple card shutdowns, but this situation remains unresolved. Time is running out to rectify this issue.

I provided my mother's estate taxes and five years of IRS transcripts to Isaac Nyarko at 23rd & 8th Ave in Manhattan in January. I handled all the phone calls, appointments, and follow-ups, but the taxes have not been completed. Despite numerous emails and voice messages since April 11, [redacted], with no response, I am growing frustrated. I need someone else to handle my mother's estate taxes and review the transcripts. I offered to pay Isaac to check them, but now I want to escalate the situation as I am concerned about the accuracy of the filings. I forgot my account login details and can no longer access the email associated with my account. My [redacted] tax return was rejected by the IRS on March 15, [redacted]. Since then, I have been unable to access my H&R Block online account to retrieve my W-2 and refile. This return also includes my stimulus check information. We have been using H & R Block for our tax preparation for years. This year, our taxes were prepared by Elisa Godinez, a novice. After receiving a letter from the IRS requesting an additional $[redacted] tax payment, we went to H & R Block to discuss the issue. We met with Senior Tax Specialist Olga Jones who advised us to pay $[redacted] for follow-up with the IRS. Despite assurances from Olga that the "Back Office" was handling our case, we did not receive any updates. After multiple attempts to contact them, including speaking with a manager named Bill Dezani, we discovered that there was no "Back Office." Ultimately, we resolved the issue ourselves by paying the correct amount to the IRS. We are requesting a refund of the $[redacted] charged by Olga for the nonexistent service provided.

Since the state could only take their share if my federal return was processed, I assume my federal returns are in order. I am eager to receive any updates on my federal returns soon.

I recently received a letter from the IRS regarding the Recovery Rebate Credit stating that I am not eligible for it. When my niece filed my taxes, she indicated that I did not receive the third stimulus payment, which is correct. I only received the initial $[redacted] payment. The tax software we used prompted that based on this information, I should be entitled to a $[redacted] stimulus rebate. After filing, the program calculated a $[redacted] refund for me. However, in July [redacted], I received a letter from the IRS stating that I am not entitled to the rebate, and I owe $[redacted].43 due to the rebate, penalties, and interest. The software had indicated I was entitled to the rebate, but the IRS disagrees. My niece made sure to download all the necessary updates, so I am unsure how to resolve this discrepancy.
