My tax return process began on March 18, [redacted]. On March 23, I was assigned Deborah Poland as my tax reviewer and she requested additional documentation the same day. I promptly sent the required documents via email on March 23. Deborah informed me of the approval and processing on March 27.
After no updates, I contacted the Rhode Island office on May 10 and spoke with Gail, who was unsure of the return status. Despite promises to follow up, I did not receive a call back. Later that day, Deborah requested signed e-documents which we promptly returned. She acknowledged receiving them but we never received confirmation.
As of today, June 1, [redacted], I contacted the IRS for a refund status and was told no returns had been filed. A call to H&R Block confirmed the same. Frustrated, I insisted on speaking to a supervisor but have been on hold for over an hour. This lack of communication is unacceptable, especially considering my past experience working at H&R Block. I demand immediate processing of my return, refund of fees, and absorption of any late filing penalties by H&R Block.

I initially filed my [redacted] taxes with H&R Block on 3/18/[redacted]. I received an email introducing Deborah Poland as the reviewer. On 3/23/21, she requested documentation which we submitted on 5/10/21. After contacting the Cranston RI office and speaking to Gail, who informed me Deborah was unavailable and would be notified, I did not receive a callback. Later that day, Deborah sent a message with attachments to print, sign, and return. We confirmed receipt at 5:16pm on 5/10/21. Despite this, when checking "Where's My Refund?" on June 1st, there was no update. Upon contacting H&R Block, the representative mentioned the taxes were not filed. After escalating to supervisor Sean id#X167137, a case#[redacted]3 was opened with a promised resolution in 2 to 3 days. This situation is unacceptable and unprofessional, considering my own professional history with H&R Block. I am requesting a refund due to the initial overcharge and expect my taxes to be filed promptly, with any late penalty to be the responsibility of H&R Block, not us.

On May 7th, I had an appointment at H&R Block located at [redacted] Cleveland Ave in Ft. Myers, FL with Mohammed Rostom. I usually don't file taxes but did in order to receive my second stimulus check of $[redacted]. Before proceeding, I specifically asked Mr. Rostom if child support could garnish my check, mentioning they had taken my first $[redacted] stimulus payment. I explained that if there was a risk of it being taken, there was no point in paying the $70 fee for filing. He reassured me that no creditor could intercept it, so I paid the $70 fee. Unfortunately, child support did take it. I am requesting a refund of the $70. When I approached Mr. Rostom about the issue, he declined to assist and remarked, "at least child support is paid." I contacted customer service, who scheduled a call with the store manager for 1pm, but the call never came. Following up the next day, I requested to speak to a supervisor, but they declined to connect me.

I used H&R Block to file my taxes, and they accessed my information remotely with my employer details. The forms were then automatically filled out as they calculated my taxes. After submission, I was informed everything looked good and the IRS accepted them, with an expected refund of $3,[redacted]. However, I received a notice from the IRS stating that my refund had been approved but the amount had changed for specified reasons. Some possibilities include errors with Social Security numbers of dependents, missing or incomplete information, mismatched last names of dependents, dependents exceeding age limits, or an incorrect calculation due to exceeding the income threshold.

While assisting my in-laws with their taxes, I encountered a login issue with their original account. Consequently, I created a new account and input all their details. Upon completing their return, there was no free filing option available. As they didn’t receive an IRS refund this year, I proceeded to pay with my credit card. Despite this, I later managed to access the original account and filed their return for free, as done in previous years. I seek a refund for the first account I created, as it was not utilized.

Our tax preparer at H&R Block made an error on our taxes, resulting in a lower refund from the IRS than expected. We paid for their services and were promised a full refund, but due to the mistake, we did not receive the correct amount. We need assistance in understanding why this happened and how we can recover the remaining $2,[redacted] refund we were owed.

I am having trouble logging into my account. It was working fine during tax time, so this might be due to a recent system update. I am unable to input my date of birth and social security correctly; the format shows month, date, year, which is different from the format used in the USA. In Europe, the format is day/month/year. I am in Ireland and cannot call the [redacted] number provided. Is there a non-[redacted] number I can use for assistance? I have asked my tax advisor for my client ID as an alternative. I hope to resolve this issue promptly. Thank you, Anne Bomser.

I'm having trouble reaching an H&R representative to assist with a question about filing an amended return. I've been waiting for an online chat agent for 3 hours and have been on hold on the phone for 1 hour and 49 minutes. The estimated wait time keeps changing from 60 minutes to 35 minutes and back to 60 minutes. It's frustrating not being able to reach a real person for help. I've been a loyal H&R Block customer filing online for years, but the current customer service experience is disappointing. I might have to look for another tax service provider in the future.

I recently purchased the [redacted] desktop Premium business tax software and filed my taxes through either mail or E-File. Now, I've installed the [redacted] desktop software on a new computer and need to transfer my [redacted] data file to it to start my [redacted] taxes. Despite copying a [redacted] backup file to the new computer, I must restore and save it to transfer the necessary information. When trying to download the prior year program from my HR Block account to help with this, I was informed that I hadn't filed with HR Block. I've been using HR Block software since you acquired Kiplinger Tax Cut and paid for future downloads. Please address this issue promptly and provide a download link. My details are: 12 Sterling Ct, Chico, CA, [redacted], names: Dale Burrow, business Sub Station Inc.

I am seeking a refund for the $69 Tax Pro Review service charged to me on 5/9/21 for my taxes. I have tried calling the support line but have been unable to get through to a representative. I needed a tax professional specializing in NY/NYC/NJ tax laws due to a job change in [redacted]. Despite assurances of being matched with a local expert, my review was reassigned multiple times to individuals in Utah who were unable to assist with my specific tax situation. With the tax deadline approaching, I had to seek help from another service. Since my refund was never filed with H&R Block, I request a refund of the Tax Pro fee to my account. Thank you, L.L.

I received tax advice at the Lakewood, CO branch in Belmar in March [redacted], aiming for the maximum refund by filing as a dual status alien. Yet, upon filing an extension and paying a [redacted]$ deposit, I was advised in June [redacted] to file as a non-resident alien for the best refund. I could have done this independently if informed earlier, as I have in the past. After requesting a refund, I was promised contact from the branch manager without a clear timeline, and it has been over a week with no communication. I seek to escalate this matter as my time and money have been mishandled. I hope for a prompt response addressing this issue.

I received a tax consultation at the Lakewood, CO branch in Belmar in March [redacted]. Initially advised to file as a dual status alien for a maximum refund, I paid a $[redacted] deposit after filing an extension notice. In June [redacted], I was informed that filing as a nonresident alien would yield the highest refund. I could have filed independently as a nonresident alien if this was communicated earlier, as I have done so previously. I requested a refund but was informed by the branch that the branch manager would contact me with no set timeline, leaving me waiting for over a week without any update. I am frustrated by the lack of communication and the delays in addressing this issue. I would appreciate a prompt response to resolve this matter urgently. Thank you.

My computer crashed and I lost my [redacted] tax preparation software. I believe I should receive a free replacement copy since I have been a loyal customer for many years. Currently, it seems I will be required to purchase the software again which doesn't feel fair. Trying to resolve this over the phone was unsuccessful as I was passed around to bots and faced long wait times, ultimately having my call disconnected three times. I am disappointed by this poor customer service experience from a well-known company. I hope you can assist me promptly to retain me as a customer in the future.

I have encountered significant challenges with H&R Block for the past two months. After signing up online for tax assistance at the [redacted] K Street NW office in Washington DC, my appointed tax professional failed to initiate contact as agreed. After multiple attempts to reach them, I finally received a notification that my taxes were ready on May 15th, only to discover a fee over $[redacted] with no explanation provided. Despite numerous calls and unmet appointments, my concerns were not addressed properly. Jackie Lynch assured me of assistance but no follow-up occurred, causing frustration and financial repercussions with the State of Connecticut. Seeking resolution, I have attempted to contact H&R Block Customer Service without success, resulting in an ongoing unresolved case ([redacted]1). I am considering legal action if my concerns remain unaddressed. I urgently require a Tax Pro to rectify my tax issues and discuss potential reimbursement for the service shortcomings encountered. Your prompt attention to this matter is appreciated.
Sincerely,
Jamie

I am dealing with a troubling situation involving a tax preparer, Joseph Barber, PTIN P[redacted]7, from H&R Block at [redacted] N Sebastian St, West Helena, AR [redacted]. During a recent visit to file my taxes on 05-03-[redacted], he intentionally mishandled my taxes by providing incorrect information, creating an incorrect IP number and PIN, and failing to include important details like my credits, stimulus payments, and past tax returns. I feel devastated and outraged by this experience and have faced vandalism to my property, including my home and car, as well as experiencing harassment and discrimination. Despite my attempts to resolve the issue, I have not received a satisfactory outcome. The situation escalated further, with my property being damaged and feeling constantly harassed. This has caused me immense distress, and I firmly believe H&R Block needs to address and rectify this situation promptly. I have submitted multiple complaints and am seeking resolution and compensation for the pain and suffering caused by this ordeal.

I had my [redacted] taxes prepared in March to claim the recovery stimulus for my granddaughter. Despite submitting all the necessary custody papers, the claim keeps getting rejected. When I contacted the IRS, they advised me to complete a 2[redacted] form. I have this document saved on my phone but was informed that you could expedite the process for me. I can email you the [redacted] tax papers for assistance. Once you have both tax forms, you can liaise with the IRS regarding the correct fax number for submission. As an SSI recipient, I have not filed taxes in years but have always relied on your services in the past. Unfortunately, I did not receive any stimulus funds designated for my granddaughter. I am willing to provide school documents as proof of her residency with me since she was 6 months old; she will turn 10 in December. Kindly note, the email address listed below is not in use, and I have provided my primary contact information for correspondence.

In [redacted], I used your services to file my taxes. Through multiple calls, I have learned that my [redacted] return was not recorded or saved correctly. One of your representatives mentioned that my return was in your system but could not be sent to me, while another stated that the data was completely removed. Both individuals confirmed the existence of my return and suggested that I reach out to the IRS for assistance.
Upon checking my IRS account, I discovered that you did not submit my [redacted] return to them. This oversight is incredibly frustrating, inconvenient, and is negatively impacting my life, particularly in regards to securing affordable housing.
I urge you to rectify this mistake promptly to alleviate the difficulties I am facing.
Thank you,
Jerod

I have reached out to various individuals within the company regarding my tax concerns, including the tax prep team, office manager, master tax pro, and district manager. Despite speaking to Rick P., the master tax pro, who promised to refund my tax prep fees and address my issue within a week, no progress has been made. It's frustrating that neither Rick nor the district manager, Nathan, informed us that the complaint was closed. Nathan even suggested contacting the IRS, which was not helpful. I am unsure if my tax return needs amending and why this issue was not resolved earlier. I am seeking assistance with my taxes from a tax company that offers better customer service.

I originally worked on my [redacted] Federal and California Tax return on 5/18/[redacted] at 1:17:00 AM. I ordered the following services:
- Plus Federal Return: $29.99
- Plus State Return: $0.00
- Tax Pro Review for Plus: $59.99
- Peace of Mind + Tax Identity Shield Bundle (TPR): $55.00
- Tax Identity Shield Add-on (TPR): $15.00
Total: $[redacted].98
Order #: D8ADA43CG[redacted]
I didn't submit my return on that date as I hadn't uploaded my documents. Over the weekend, I uploaded all my documents and now want a Tax Pro to review both Federal and State returns. However, the online portal doesn't recognize that I've already paid for this service and is trying to charge me an additional $[redacted].99 to complete the Tax Pro expert review for my return. Why am I being charged again?
Thank you,
Alita H.

I, S.K., was advised to file my [redacted] return separately from David for the first stimulus. Although I initially wasn't planning to file, I completed the forms on the software as instructed. Upon sending the documents to tax professional M.M., he filed them jointly. Now, on July 13, [redacted], the IRS claims everything was done incorrectly, causing delays in our refund. We submitted an amended return and paid for services upfront. The situation is distressing as it may result in losing our home. Despite reassurances, we are still waiting for the overdue refund. I am requesting reimbursement for the upfront payment made due to the errors of the tax professional.
