I have been using H&R Block software for years. However, this year, I encountered an issue when trying to download the software. Following the instructions provided in the disc box, I went to GetHRBlock.com/AQUA on 2/12/21 to purchase the software. Unfortunately, after clicking to download, the process did not start despite multiple attempts. Subsequently, I received an error message indicating "Download Limit Reached." Although Customer Support was closed when I tried to reach out for assistance, I managed to locate multiple downloads in my computer's Download folder. After several attempts, I successfully downloaded one copy of the software. I am wondering if there is a way to cancel the extra downloads to ensure my download limit is not exceeded. I have attached a screenshot showing the 5 downloads in my folder, all done within minutes of each other. My activation code is JYDVM-SX53K.

My children's mother successfully filed her taxes using TurboTax and received approval. Upon attempting to file mine, I encountered a rejection due to a discrepancy in the EITC credit. TurboTax support has been unhelpful, offering either to accept the EITC as is or go through a lengthy amendment process. I paid $[redacted] for filing online, only to have it rejected, and TurboTax is refusing to provide a refund. I'm seeking advice on expediting the amendment process to receive the EITC promptly, as I can't file my taxes until this is resolved. I don't want to miss out on the money I'm entitled to. I plan to file with HR Block once this is sorted out. Any assistance on this matter would be appreciated. Thank you.

I am having difficulty installing my downloaded software. I did not receive a disc this year, but the instructions direct me to go to gethrblock.com/aqua. After making my payment, I received an email with my activation code. When I attempt to open HRblock on my Dell computer running Windows 10, I am only met with a white box containing the logo in the top left corner after granting permission for the download. I have visited the support page at gethrblock/aqua and selected the new computer install option. However, as I input my activation code and begin entering my unlock code, I notice there is no space for the final two digits. Despite numerous attempts to call the provided phone number for help over the past two days at various times, I am unable to reach anyone. I have never encountered such issues in the past when using the mailed disc. Assistance is greatly appreciated. - Diane

Hello H&R Block, I would like to address an issue with your Amazon connections and your services. I recently purchased H&R Block Premium & Business software for $67.97, but during the process, I realized it was not the right software for me. I then discovered that Amazon had mistakenly double-ordered the same program for $69.97, which I did not require. The software I needed was H&R Block Tax Software Deluxe + State with a bonus offer for $34.97, which I am currently using for my [redacted] taxes. I am concerned about being charged for software that I do not need. I have already informed Amazon about the situation, but I would appreciate it if H&R Block could assist in addressing these charges.
Thank you,
D.L. Perle

RE: [redacted] EFILE Not Received by IRS or the State of Georgia. Supposedly Sent by H&R Block 2/4/[redacted] Rose, Jeffrey K. and Teresa A, [redacted]
Dear Administrative Assistant of Jeff Jones, CEO,
I am faxing this to you out of frustration. I have been a loyal customer for over 15 years and have been trying to contact someone who can assist me. In the past 3 days, I have spent 4 hours on hold without success. When I finally connected with a representative yesterday, we got disconnected, and they did not call back. This morning, a new employee was unable to find our filing using our social security numbers but could locate it with our Block ID; however, she mentioned our efile was pending. Despite receiving confirmation emails from H&R Block, the IRS and the State of Georgia have no record of our filing. I have been given a case number and request that the return be retransmitted promptly to avoid further delays. Please address this issue and improve the phone wait times and supervisor support to prevent such inconveniences in the future.
Sincerely,
Teresa A. Rose

I visited H&R Block on February 12, [redacted], to have my [redacted] taxes done. Immediately upon arrival, there were issues. Despite confirming my 9am appointment with Carol and receiving confirmation texts, they couldn't find me in their system until I showed them the messages. I later found out Carol no longer worked there without prior notice. The tax associate I worked with, Gaerdine, seemed nice initially, but things went downhill as discrepancies arose in the forms. They assured me everything was fine, but after leaving, other tax associates found mistakes. I actually didn't owe money; I was owed a refund. I paid $[redacted] in fees and products, but with the need to amend both state and federal returns due to errors, I'm requesting a refund of the $[redacted] filing fee. This experience has shaken my trust in the H&R Block office on Texas Sage Trail in Keller, Texas, where I've been a long-time customer.

I encountered issues with the HRBlock system while trying to use a $10.00 discount coupon code, and unfortunately, the discount was not applied. Furthermore, after completing the purchase with my credit card, I attempted to download the software by clicking on the "download" button as instructed but nothing happened despite multiple tries. This has left me unable to proceed with my tax filing after paying $49.04. I have been a loyal user of H & R Block tax software for nine years and never faced such problems before. The suggestion to go online for help was unhelpful as it directed me to download a file that was not available. I am now unsure of how to proceed – should I wait for my credit card statement and dispute the charge, or is there another solution? It would have been simpler if H & R Block could provide a CD version of the software like in previous years.

I purchased and installed H&R Block [redacted] Deluxe with e-file and state from Amazon, as in previous years. I have updated the software with the latest patches. I prepared my brother's return, but encountered error messages when trying to e-file. The first error states, "Unable to connect. We're having trouble establishing a connection between your software and our server. System message: Forbidden." The second error advises contacting technical support and mentions a PSR Failure. I have taken various troubleshooting steps like disabling firewalls, adjusting ZoneAlarm settings, and removing proxy settings on Windows 10, but the issue persists. Even after trying different credit cards and connecting directly to the modem, the problem remains. It appears there may be a configuration issue with the software and the H&R Block server preventing the e-filing process.

I need help with my California tax return. It was rejected due to a form [redacted] for a possible shared responsibility penalty concerning health insurance. Even though I completed the section as instructed, I am still unable to refile. I find it puzzling that I am being penalized for not having coverage during some months in [redacted] when I believed I had coverage throughout my time in California. Regardless, I just want to resolve this issue and file my taxes promptly. Thank you.

I encountered a problem with H&R Block [redacted] Premium where the deduction calculations were not functioning correctly. Despite selecting either standard or itemized deduction, the Federal Refund amount did not change as expected.
After contacting customer service on 15Feb2021, I was informed of an upcoming update on 18Feb2021 to resolve the issue. However, even after installing the update, the problem persisted. Subsequent calls to customer service also did not provide a solution, leading to a frustrating experience of being transferred and placed on hold for lengthy periods.
Feeling dissatisfied, I turned to writing this message as a way to seek assistance and offer feedback to H&R Block for software and service improvements. I am seeking guidance on resolving the bug in the Deduction section so that I can proceed with filing my taxes accurately and promptly. If the issue cannot be resolved, I would like instructions on how to return the software for a refund.
Time is crucial, and I hope for a prompt resolution to avoid sharing my experience online.
Thank you,
Linda

I encountered an issue with my e-filed taxes - my CA return was rejected. The problem seems to be related to form [redacted] for a possible shared responsibility penalty. Upon checking the Health Insurance section, it shows a penalty of $[redacted] due to not having healthcare coverage for certain months in [redacted] without claiming an exemption. Although I had insurance during my time in CA, the system won't allow me to proceed with filing. Your assistance in clarifying this matter is appreciated. Thank you.

On 2/17/[redacted], I tried to buy the H & R Block Self-Employed/Rental software online. Despite entering my credit card details, the transaction failed. I attempted multiple times, but each time it failed. Eventually, I decided to purchase it in-store at Office Depot. Surprisingly, I later discovered that I was charged $74.25 three times, totaling $[redacted].75 for the product I didn't receive download information for. I physically bought the software on 2/18/[redacted] and have since downloaded it. Today, $[redacted].75 was deducted from my account, and I now have no funds left. I received an email saying I can download the product, but I don't need it as I already purchased and downloaded it. I urgently require a full refund for the duplicate charges.

I had a disappointing experience at H&R Block with Brenda E. from the Madison, Ohio office. I have shared custody of my son, and it's my year to claim him on my taxes. Despite being a long-time customer, Brenda questioned my right to claim my son without court papers. She refused to file my taxes unless I provided extensive documentation. When her supervisor, Nicholas C., confirmed it was acceptable, Brenda still refused. I left feeling disrespected and frustrated. Considering switching tax preparers after 14 years of loyalty due to this poor treatment. Nicholas was helpful, and I may have him handle my taxes in the future.

I recently used a tax software download and made a mistake with my credit card address. Despite resolving the issue with a phone call and resubmitting online, my return has been stuck in a "pending state" for 7 days. H&R Block received authorization from Discover but didn't complete the transaction, leaving me unable to resubmit my taxes. I spent hours on the phone yesterday, continuously being transferred between departments at H&R Block without any resolution. I'm desperate for help; could you assist me in escaping this H&R Block predicament? I've had no luck so far, with hours spent on calls yesterday and more today. My contact number is [redacted]. Thank you, Pete W. During my calls, there's always mention of a survey that never arrives; I have a feeling why.

I am very disappointed with the treatment we received at H&R Block this year. We were charged $29.99 for a saver's credit, and then additionally charged $36.99 for a simple State return that should have been free. It feels like we were extorted out of our money. I am upset and I am seeking a full refund for the fees on my [redacted] tax return. This experience has left a bad taste in my mouth, and as a result, I will not be recommending H&R Block to my friends and family.

Many HR Block customers are dissatisfied with the current "download-only" system for purchasing tax software. Not having a physical CD for future needs with the IRS is seen as a significant drawback, making it a profitable but poor customer value approach. Is HR Block planning to reconsider this unpopular decision and provide a CD option this tax year, or should customers look into alternatives like Free Tax or other companies offering better value for their money?

Hello! I received an email offer in October [redacted] to purchase the Deluxe Software for $14.95. I printed out the email stating the software could not be downloaded until November 9th due to it being a pre-order. I made the purchase using my VISA Chase Marriott Bonvoy credit card on November 11th, which posted on the 12th with transaction number MO [redacted]. Unfortunately, I mistakenly deleted the email containing the activation code necessary for downloading and activating the software.
I recently contacted Customer Service at [redacted]. After a 20-minute hold, I was informed of a 50-minute wait time. Although I eventually connected with a representative, the call was disrupted before I could receive assistance.
I possess the email offer, documentation of the charge on my Chase account, and all relevant details including the correct vendor, confirmation code, and charged amount. I am a longtime user of HR Block software and would greatly appreciate receiving a new email with the activation code and download link promptly to proceed with my tax preparations as usual.
Thank you,
Jerry A.

I have been a long-time customer, and you handled my tax returns for [redacted] and [redacted]. However, the IRS informed me that my second $[redacted] stimulus check was deposited into an incorrect account. As a result, I did not receive the payment. Given my financial situation, with unemployment due to the pandemic, this money is crucial for me. I did not have any income this year to file taxes. I received the first $[redacted] stimulus check, but the second one seems to be in an account that is not mine. Please rectify this issue with the IRS promptly, so I can receive the funds I am entitled to. It's important to address this matter promptly to avoid any further complications, especially with another stimulus check on the way. My details are: Michele R Brown, [redacted]23, and my birth date is 12/15/66. I appreciate your prompt attention to this matter.

I bought the [redacted] tax software from Walmart. The card indicates RR4 D43 HHNV, but I'm unsure where or how to enter it on my computer to activate the software. Typically, the computer just shows the standard steps to download and install the software, which I've done successfully many times before. I've used HR Block CD disks for years without any issues, so I'm puzzled why I'm encountering difficulties with the [redacted] software.
