I submitted my taxes at H&R Block on Wednesday, February 20, [redacted], at one of your locations. Despite not receiving any updates via email or phone confirming the status of my taxes, I reached out to the store on Wednesday, March 13, [redacted], 3 weeks later, to inquire about the progress. They informed me they had a technical problem and took responsibility for the delay, assuring me they submitted my taxes that same night. It is now Monday, April 8, [redacted], and I have yet to receive my refund. I acknowledge the typical IRS processing time but waiting nearly 7 weeks has become quite frustrating. As a full-time student, I rely on my tax refund to cover expenses including bills and tuition. I lodged a complaint about two weeks ago but have not received any response. I am extremely dissatisfied with the tax preparation process and would like to discuss this matter further, especially since the $[redacted].95 fee seems excessive. I am seeking a refund.

I had an appointment booked at my local H&R Block for 12:00 PM. Unfortunately, I waited for 43 minutes before I was able to see my tax preparer. The checkout process also took an additional 32 minutes due to system issues. I was at the office from 12:03 PM until 2:25 PM, and I am upset as this wasted my entire day off. The person handling my checkout even tried to write down my credit card details to charge me later. This experience left me disappointed, especially considering a previous incident where a manager berated my tax preparer during my appointment. The substantial cost of $[redacted], which is close to a day's earnings, felt excessive given the time spent. No effort was made to apologize for the inconvenience caused by the extended appointment. As a result of these experiences, I am considering finding another tax service provider for future needs. It would be appreciated to receive some form of compensation for the time lost or a discount on the services provided.

I need to address a concern regarding one of your tax preparation employees at the Manchester, MD office. During our initial visit, she was eating while gathering our information. On our second visit, she was thirty minutes late. I had to make four more trips to the office before my taxes were completed. I felt she lacked expertise, and I had to initiate contact to ensure my taxes were finished accurately.

I made a couple of mistakes that I need to address.
Firstly, I mistakenly purchased the [redacted] software instead of the needed [redacted] version. Upon realizing my error, I intended to request a refund for the incorrect purchase and proceed with the correct software.
Subsequently, when I acquired and started using the [redacted] software, I encountered a compatibility issue. I discovered that I could only link it to Turbo Tax and not my QuickBooks Online.
I kindly request a full refund for both software purchases. I regret the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding towards my oversight.
Awaiting your response.
Sincerely,
Andrew

I have been using your tax software for about 20 years now, always purchasing H & R Block Deluxe + State. However, I have encountered an issue with the state software for the last two years. I had to contact the state of Minnesota Revenue department to correct it since I am at an age where I need to take RMD from my IRAs annually, and there are no state taxes withheld from it. I have been sending estimated state taxes on the money I receive each year to Minnesota. The federal form has a section for estimated state tax, but when I check the state form, it does not transfer the amount over, leading to an omission of the estimated tax. This forces me to pay more to the state initially, only to have them return it to me later. This problem needs fixing as I cannot edit the state form once it is automatically filled in. If this issue persists, I may have to consider switching to your competitor, Turbo Tax. Your prompt attention to this matter would be greatly appreciated. My taxes were e-filed in February. Thank you, R. L.

I submitted my tax returns at your 5 Hanover Square office in New York last Saturday. A couple of weeks before that, I visited your Brooklyn office on [redacted] 4th Ave but decided not to utilize their services. However, they input some of my information into the system. The tax agent at the 5 Hanover Square office used this data to file my return.
I am attempting to verify my identity on my online H&R Block account to access those returns. However, I am facing an issue as the system posed questions, one of which was "Which office did you use to file your tax?" Since 5 Hanover Square was not listed, I selected "None of the above." I believe the system is mistakenly identifying that I filed at the Brooklyn office on [redacted] 4th Ave rather than the 5 Hanover Square office. Despite answering all other questions correctly, I am unable to confirm my identity. I would appreciate your assistance with this matter.

During my appointment with Amy, she initially quoted me $[redacted] for the service. However, at the end of the appointment, she mentioned additional fees resulting in a final balance of $[redacted]. I was surprised by this change as I expected upfront pricing to be honored. Being new to taxes and having had a complex job situation last year, I sought professional help. After leaving, I realized I missed out on several deductions, prompting me to contact Amy to make changes. Unfortunately, she seemed reluctant and abruptly stated that my taxes were already filed. This made me suspicious, especially when I instantly received a text confirming the filing. I felt Amy was not willing to assist me in maximizing deductions. Instead, she suggested a second appointment for amendments at an additional cost. I am dissatisfied with the service and the unexpected extra charges, and I believe I deserve a full refund for the misleading pricing and lack of support with deductions.

Hello, I filed my tax returns with HR Block in February. During the filing, they assisted me in applying for my wife's ITIN since we got married last year and she didn't have one. The initial application was rejected by the IRS, but we resubmitted it with the correct information with HR Block's assistance a few days ago. I am unsure if my filing has already been completed by HR Block or if it will only be finalized once my wife receives her ITIN. Unfortunately, we have not been able to get a clear answer when contacting our local HR office in Somerville where we initially filed.

Hello, I'm unsure if this message will reach H&R Block as there is no listed email for feedback on their website, which makes me less inclined to continue using their services in the future. After encountering issues on their site, I have decided to switch to a different tax preparer and wanted to share my experience. Having used H&R Block before, I encountered trouble logging in due to not recalling my account details after some time.
I went through the recovery procedure, established a new password, and thought all was well. However, upon attempting to log in again to start my tax return, I was prompted to change my password once more, despite having just done so. This redundant step is unnecessary and frustrating. I won't engage in unnecessary tasks or struggle with a malfunctioning website that seems stuck in a cycle of password resets. I will explore other providers and recommend H&R Block to improve their website to retain customers like me.
Best, Jon B.

I have been diligently working on my taxes for the last few months, but I encountered an issue today when trying to file an extension. My husband, who is in the military, has a changing W2, and I needed to update some information. While filing the extension, I opened a new window to reference my tax details, and when I returned, my refund amount was showing as 0. I panicked and closed the browser, reopened it, but the refund still appeared as 0. I am worried as I have four rental properties, and it takes me a long time each year to ensure all my records are accurate. Any advice on how to resolve this would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, my name is Shalon Thomas. Last year, I e-filed with HRB but I am struggling to retrieve my AGI number from last year. My account was on the online app on my old phone with the number [redacted], which I no longer have access to for the reset password. I believe the email address used was [redacted] If I'm unsure about that, how can I obtain my AGI number? I have contacted the IRS helpline at [redacted] but they were unable to assist, stating my information is unknown. The deadline is approaching, and I urgently need that number to file my taxes. Please help!

I e-filed my taxes but had to make a correction for an error in one number. After resubmitting with the correct information for the amount I owe, I am unable to access the site to check the status of my filing. Despite using the same login credentials, the system is now saying they're incorrect. Additionally, I couldn't print my returns as my printer is broken. I owe both federal and state taxes and with no confirmation of submission, I'm unsure what to do next. It appears the program has been updated and is less user-friendly than before.

Hello,
I have been having my taxes done by H&R Block for the past 3 or 4 years. Initially, Claudia Spears, a Tax Pro in your Daly City, CA office, handled them, but last year a different person took care of them, and I cannot recall her name.
I would like to know how to access your email service and view past emails. I need to retrieve information, including the name of my preparer from last year.
I also require assistance with a claim by the CA Franchise Tax Board stating that I owe $1,[redacted] from my [redacted] return. I disagree as I received a $2,[redacted] refund last year. My withheld amount was $14,[redacted], and H&R Block calculated that I owed $11,[redacted], resulting in a $2,[redacted] refund.
Please reach out to me at [redacted] I am looking to resolve these matters promptly.
Thank you,
Steve

I have been using H&R Block Deluxe to file my state and federal taxes for years. My email address is provided below for identification. This year, everything went smoothly with the federal taxes and Tennessee accepted my state filing. However, H&R Block made a mistake with the state payment. A phone call to H&R Block was unhelpful, and the representative advised me to handle the payment directly with Tennessee. Today, I made the payment directly to the state of TN. Please do not activate any payment to Tennessee for the tax year [redacted]. If H&R Block sends any money to Tennessee later, it would duplicate the payment I already made today and cause further complications for me.

I initially signed up to file for free but later decided to switch to the virtual pro midway through the application. Despite contacting customer support, they struggled to add the virtual pro to my account as it kept defaulting me to the free version. I had to create a new account to sign up for the product I wanted. I then scheduled a phone call with my tax pro but did not receive any call at the agreed time or throughout the day.
The customer service over the phone has been unhelpful and unable to address even basic questions. It is challenging to reach a real person as the automated message often disconnected me. If I managed to navigate the automated menu, the wait times were long, only to be met by unhelpful responses.
Overall, my experience with your company's customer service has been disappointing, and I am reconsidering using your services in the future.

I've been mistakenly charged 11 times for the e-file fee of $19.95 each, which includes a 7% tax, totaling $23.45 each time. I attempted to e-file several times with the incorrect activation code. I am seeking a refund for all charges except for one. I would like a credit for the additional charges, which amount to ten times $23.45, totaling $[redacted].50. Could you please clarify if this request is clear? Thank you.

Dear Sir/Madam,
I recently visited H&R Block to file my taxes for the first time. Overall, the experience was positive. However, during the session, I was offered the Peace of Mind offer but declined due to tiredness. The next day, when I wanted to reconsider, I was informed it could only be added at the time of closure. After discovering discrepancies in two previous tax returns, I decided to amend them and paid the necessary fee. Despite this, I was still unable to add the Peace of Mind offer. I am unsure if this policy is set by Corporate or just a local decision. I believe flexibility in such matters would be more appropriate. Your guidance on this issue would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Dr. P. Wilde

I spent hours trying to reach a representative over the weekend and Monday to discuss a pressing issue. After waiting for hours without any resolution, I finally connected with a representative today. Despite spending time explaining my problem, I was then transferred to another group for assistance. Unfortunately, the person tasked with helping me needed time to review my case but the chat window closed due to inactivity before I received a solution. I am frustrated as my problem regarding the Estimated Tax planning worksheet remains unresolved - it did not fill in line 46 with estimated payments for [redacted]. I am disappointed with the support experience with HR Block and considering using turbotax next year if this level of support continues.

The tax professional assigned to me was unpleasant and avoided answering my specific tax questions regarding this year's return. I had to point out errors in her calculations and guide her through correcting the return after being transparent from the beginning. I request a refund for the service fee I paid. I can provide our message exchange in the center or you can locate my details. I utilized H&R Block's online tax service.

I submitted my taxes in early January. Usually, I handle them online, but encountered some problems with my school district tax. To address this, I visited the local office in Perrysburg, OH. I sought assistance from Judy Collins to rectify my [redacted] and [redacted] taxes, and she only managed to complete [redacted], charging me a high fee. Unfortunately, the situation worsened from there. Despite Judy's assurance that she would address my [redacted] taxes later, communication stalled. Multiple attempts to reach her were unfruitful. Judy's explanation of being too busy seemed dismissive and unprofessional. Despite my efforts, even leaving messages, there was no response or progress on my [redacted] taxes well into April, causing frustration and regret for choosing H&R Block. Clarifying her availability upfront would have prompted me to seek services elsewhere and potentially save money in the process.
