My mother purchased a $20 Green Dot card under the impression it could be used like a regular American Express debit gift card, only to find out upon activation that it needs to be physically mailed. Unfortunately, it was declined for all online purchases, including Lyft and Uber. Frustrated by this, I eventually managed to access my account to see a balance of $1.94, as they deducted $7.95 as a monthly maintenance fee, along with $10 for an unsuccessful Lyft transaction. Feeling infuriated by these hidden charges and inefficiencies, I am disappointed with the company for taking advantage of unsuspecting individuals. My goal now is to cancel the card and request a refund.

I've been struggling to activate my card using the app on my tablet. After entering my information and requesting an activation code, the code disappeared before I could input it. Upon retrying, I received an "invalid code" message and later was blocked due to too many attempts. I've tried multiple times today with no success. I'm having trouble receiving the verification code through text to activate my new Green Dot prepaid Credit/Debit card. I attempted to resend multiple times, waiting 2 minutes between each try, but I received a message saying I exceeded my limit. It's frustrating and feels like a scam. Why do I have to create an account to use a prepaid Credit card? It seems unnecessary. This experience makes me doubt the legitimacy of the Company and the card.

During a recent trip, I encountered an issue with accessing my card after funds were loaded. Following a discussion with a representative, my account was suspended, and I was asked to submit images of the front and back of my ID card via email to GreenDot. Despite sending the required information, I have not received confirmation that my ID was received. After contacting customer service for an update on my funds and account status, I was informed once more that my account remains suspended. I have a MoneyPak card and am unable to access the MoneyPak website. Despite changing my password multiple times and verifying my phone number, I still cannot log in. I contacted customer service, and they informed me that my account was locked due to "suspicious activity." I had to request a refund, which can take up to 2 weeks, and unfortunately, once your account is locked, you cannot use it again. This is frustrating as I only have one cell phone number and submitting my ID card for verification poses a challenge. I am disappointed with this experience and will not be using MoneyPak in the future.

I recently requested a replacement card due to wear and tear on my current one. As a VIP Member, I was informed I would receive the new card promptly. However, it has been a week and I am still without access to my funds. I reside in a motel and explained to customer service that I receive mail at my P.O. Box across the street due to the motel's policy. Unfortunately, the new card was sent to both addresses by FedEx, which cannot deliver to P.O. Boxes. Despite my efforts to resolve this with FedEx, I was unable to get the tracking number from the representative. Now, the new card is being returned after the failed delivery attempts. I request that the new card be sent to either my physical address or P.O. Box through the US Postal Service to avoid further delays. I purchased a GreenDot prepaid card with a $1.95 Activation Fee and loaded $20 at HEB in San Antonio, Texas. When I tried to register the card, I was informed I needed to wait 30 minutes. After waiting, I attempted to register again, only to be told to try later. Upon calling, I was directed to register online or via the app. Despite trying to register online, I couldn't download the app on my iPhone without the card's activation. I tried to return the card with the receipt at HEB, but the staff was unable to help, as they faced the same registration issue. My sister sent me $40 through Green Dot. I have the user code to receive the money, but when I select "How did I receive my code," and choose text message, I can't input my cell phone number.
