I purchased a [redacted] Chevy Silverado last year, and now the AC has suddenly stopped working. A mechanic mentioned it is likely the compressor and would cost $[redacted] to $[redacted] to repair. I've heard there's a known issue with GM vehicles having faulty ACs. I am frustrated that we spent so much on this truck only for this to happen a year later. I am without a warranty and do not believe I should be responsible for the repair costs. I am curious why there hasn't been a recall for this issue and how can I resolve this matter?

I'm Royal Martin, a dedicated Chevy customer for 25 years. Recently, I bought a new Chevy Silverado with a turbo highout engine. After my purchase, I received Chevy's sales literature offering 0% financing and a $[redacted] allowance for those buying a new vehicle with GM Financing. Being a loyal customer, I'm interested in applying this promotion to my new purchase. Could someone please contact me at 1.[redacted]?

My Chevrolet truck is currently at the dealership for repairs, waiting for a high-pressure fuel pump. The pump is on national backorder, but they have not provided an estimated time of arrival for the parts. It has been there for three weeks already, and they keep responding to my requests for updates with, "No update on parts."
Given the advancements in technology and tracking systems, it's frustrating that they can't provide even a rough estimate of when the parts will arrive. Unfortunately, dealers are not offering loaner vehicles, and rental car costs are quite high at the moment. Meanwhile, I am still making payments for a broken vehicle that is covered under an extended warranty. The warranty only covers a rental allowance of $40 per day for six days.
I am seeking advice on what steps I can take next to address this situation.

I own a [redacted] Silverado 2500HD with the 6.6 Duramax diesel engine and it has reached 77,[redacted] miles. Recently, it began using coolant, so I took it to Gerry Lane Chevrolet for diagnosis. They have informed me of a head gasket leak which requires a costly repair of over $12,[redacted]. They mentioned the possibility that the warranty might not cover it, suggesting that the engine may have been previously modified for power enhancement, which I have denied. I have highlighted the Moss Magnuson Act's requirement for them to provide evidence of any modification. I'm awaiting their final decision on the matter. My VIN is 1GC4YPEY9LF123816 and you can reach me at [redacted]. My name is Bill Guidry.

I am currently in the process of negotiating for a different vehicle at the same dealership where I originally purchased my current one. Throughout this process, they have consistently provided me with excellent service. Initially, I leased a vehicle and eventually bought it outright at the end of the term. I am now interested in trading it in, but the dealership is requesting additional money down, despite my truck still being under warranty. The condition of my truck is impeccable, with low mileage and a significant initial down payment. I am surprised that they are requesting more money down as if there is no equity in the vehicle. I am hopeful that someone can assist me in resolving this situation.

My mom, J.L, purchased a new [redacted] Chevy Trax in Platte, Nebraska. On her way to Boise, Idaho, the car encountered various issues like the turbo failing, brakes not working, cruise control malfunctioning, and lane assist system failing. We managed to drive it to a motel in Boise but it refuses to start now. We live in Salem, Oregon, and had to rent a car to get my mom home due to the stress it caused. I am on my way back to Boise to deal with the situation. They say it may take a week to fix it at a Chevy dealership in Boise. We are concerned about the costs of lodging and the rental car while the car is being repaired. We are upset that no loaner car was offered during the repairs. This incident has caused financial strain and disruption in my work as I had to close my business to support my mom. We are hoping for a faster resolution without incurring more expenses.

On March 10, [redacted], I got into an accident during a snowstorm and landed in a four-foot drainage ditch, hitting a steel drainage pipe head-on in my [redacted] new Enclave. Since then, my SUV has been in the repair shop due to two major concerns: the airbags didn't deploy, and there was frame damage. Unfortunately, the vehicle wasn't deemed a total loss, so now it has an accident reported on its Carfax, which means I won't be able to recover my losses. I've been a loyal GM customer for over 30 years and I am distressed about this situation. Kelsey from GM contacted me three days after the accident, but I wasn't aware of the full extent of the damage yet. I've been trying to reach Kelsey but haven't received any callbacks. I'm hoping to speak with someone who can assist me with this matter.

I am Eva C. and I have owned a [redacted] Chevrolet Suburban for 3 years without any major issues. However, on Monday, 6/12/[redacted], the car suddenly wouldn't accelerate while I was on the freeway. Thankfully, I was assisted by the California Highway Patrol and the car was towed home safely.
Upon inspection, the repair shop determined that the transmission needs to be rebuilt due to a manufacturing defect in the clutch, costing approximately $[redacted]. I made a $[redacted] down payment and now face being without my only car for at least a week. With $30,[redacted] still owed on the vehicle and no alternative transportation for my 3 kids, this situation is quite distressing.
I am hoping for some assistance from GM with the transmission repair. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Best regards,
Eva C.

I have a situation with my car. Ms. J.D. uses her car infrequently, and it only has [redacted],[redacted] kilometers on it. In [redacted], I experienced an issue where the car would not accelerate when pressing the gas pedal. After visiting a GM repair shop, they didn't address the problem. Recently, this issue has been happening more frequently in hot weather. Upon returning to the GM repair shop with a letter, they mentioned it was overdue for repairs and requested payment. They advised me to drive less and not exceed [redacted],[redacted] kilometers. I'm unsure if I should be responsible for covering these repairs.

On June 7th, I had an appointment at the Buick dealership to address a check engine light issue. I was informed that the part needed was on back order and would be installed once it arrived, but they didn't have a loaner available. After calling on the 14th and discovering no progress, I reached out to GM Financial and then GM Priority Care. Despite being informed that there were financial remedies for delays over 20 days, I was left waiting. Today, June 28th, I was told the part would arrive next week. Despite requesting a rental vehicle from the dealership, I received no response. GM Financial reiterated I should contact GM Priority Care, leading me back in circles. Finally, the dealership confirmed my car would be ready tomorrow. Frustrated by the lack of help with terminating the lease, I hope for compensation for the inconvenience of being without the car for an extended period.

I am highly interested in the [redacted] Chevy Trax. Its design and style are impressive, especially the interior and the cargo space. However, I am disappointed that it doesn't come with an AWD option. I live in an area with heavy snowfall like Buffalo, NY, where my current Equinox handled a Christmas blizzard effortlessly. If I were to opt for a FWD vehicle, it would be a car, but for my needs, I require an AWD option. Please consider offering an AWD version of the Trax. Thank you, M. Sammarco (loyal GM customer since [redacted]).

My daughter brought her GMC Terrain in for a fuel pump recall, but the dealer, Bill Rapp of Syracuse, NY, broke the part during installation. It's been a month, and the car remains unfixed. The dealer has no timeline for the repair. Despite being given a loaner, there's concern as the loaner is only available for one more month, leaving the monthly lease payment for a car she can't drive. Is there a way for someone at GM management to assist in resolving this matter?

I purchased a new [redacted] Chevrolet Silverado, currently in the shop with 8,[redacted] miles on it. Unfortunately, one of the cylinders has lost compression. The vehicle has been at the shop for over a month with limited progress. Yesterday, I had a conversation with the Service Manager who informed me that they are unable to proceed with inspection and repairs as they lack the necessary tools. The Service Manager mentioned that they will not be available to work on the car until September. Considering the significant issue at only 8,[redacted] miles and the extended repair time, I am requesting a motor replacement to expedite getting the vehicle back on the road.

I recently purchased an Ultima Yukon for around $[redacted],[redacted], and I've been experiencing consistent error codes. After leaving it with the dealer for a week, the issues seemed resolved, but they reappeared while driving to Scranton on the 4th of this month. The Yukon started shaking, prompting another visit to the dealer. They provided a subpar rental, unsuitable compared to the expensive Yukon. They suggested we might need a new engine. I didn't expect such problems with a vehicle of this caliber and would prefer returning it rather than facing ongoing issues. I've been a loyal customer of GM vehicles and wish to continue supporting the brand. My company, Tallman Masonry, owns the Yukon. On a side note, I recently purchased a [redacted] Corvette, and the mirror camera is finally working correctly after some issues. I'm Thomas C. Tallman Jr., the President of Tallman Masonry Inc. You can reach me at [redacted] or via email at [redacted]

I've encountered repeated issues with my [redacted] GMC Sierra [redacted] diesel, necessitating frequent trips to the dealership for repairs every two months. I'm disappointed as a hardworking individual reliant on my vehicle for work. Before purchasing another vehicle for my wife, I was considering a new GMC, but due to these ongoing problems, I'm now leaning towards Toyota or Subaru. Despite investing $70,[redacted], my truck has been spending more time at the dealership than on the road. I'd appreciate a call to discuss these concerns further at [redacted].

I purchased a used [redacted] Acadia for my family, but it turned out to be unreliable and we have already had to replace the engine twice since May [redacted]. I am struggling to find an engine wiring harness for this car. Could you suggest where to find one or let me know if it's interchangeable with a different year? Thank you for your assistance. - D. I own a [redacted] Chevy Corvette C4 and I am experiencing an issue with the wire loom going through the firewall into the black box. I am seeking information on the two lower pans on the left side of that box. I would like to know what they are connected to and what functions they are responsible for. Currently, I am detecting a ground at both of them, and over a few days, my battery gets drained despite having a new and tested battery and alternator. I have also replaced all the circuit breakers and in-line fuses, yet the ground issue persists. Thank you for any assistance you can provide.

My son's water pump failed on his [redacted] Traverse. We brought it to the dealer for repair with only 26,[redacted] miles on it and had it towed on a flatbed trailer. The dealer mentioned the struts were locked up, but I know this isn't true as I have driven the vehicle myself. We are loyal GM car owners with multiple GM vehicles in the family. Since the repair, the car now bounces on the road, and I believe they have tampered with it. I've heard of them overcharging others while traveling, and I don't want my son to be taken advantage of. I may need to pursue legal action if this isn't resolved promptly. My phone number is +[redacted]4. Thank you, RM Null.

After waiting two years to receive my Denali vehicle, I am inquiring about potential compensation options due to the $12,[redacted] increase in price and the rise in interest rates. The dealership is currently offering a discount of $5,[redacted], but I am wondering if there could be additional compensation or if the original mats that were supposed to be included could be provided. As a dedicated GM customer for 30 years, I have always purchased new vehicles and have never experienced such a prolonged wait. I would appreciate any assistance in this matter. Thank you. - Kim Billington

I have had to take my HPEV to the shop twice because the battery won't charge. Both times, it turned out to be a coolant issue that only the shop could refill due to it being in an inaccessible port. It has taken over a week each time to diagnose, and once, they did not cover the cost of a rental car while working on the problem.
I am concerned that GM may be intentionally delaying the repair until my warranty expires. I would like to understand why GM is handling this situation this way and why they are not addressing the issue promptly. This experience is making me reconsider buying another car from them in the future.
