Recently, my dryer, which was only used for a few months, had a defective cracked drum. I had to pay for the repairs, which I believe should not have been necessary for a product that is supposed to last longer. Additionally, along with the dryer, I also bought a washer that has needed repairs multiple times, a refrigerator that has required servicing, a dishwasher that has also been worked on, a gas stove, and a microwave. I don't think I should have had to cover the cost of the repair and parts for the dryer considering the issues with the other appliances as well.

Recently, we bought a GE stove for around $2,[redacted]. After using the oven once, it stopped pre-heating correctly. We are extremely disappointed in GE. On 18 Sept, the technician couldn't find our home with his GPS, causing me to take a day off work. During the second appointment, he located our house but determined he needed to order a new "motherboard," leading to another day off work. Today, after installing the motherboard, it turned out not to be the issue, so he has ordered the front control panel, requiring me to take another day off work. If this doesn't resolve the stove problem, what options do we have? We believed that paying more for our stove would ensure we avoid issues associated with cheaper brands, but our experience has shown us that GE cuts corners regardless of the model. If the next part doesn't solve the problem, I will file another complaint and likely share my experience on social media.

Since purchasing my GE Standard Model washing machine GTW680BSJ*** two years ago, it has been nothing but trouble. I've had service out multiple times for the recurring issue of the tub bouncing. The noise it makes is akin to being on a loud and turbulent airplane descent. Despite the Energy Star rating of [redacted] kWh per year, the machine performs poorly on washing sheets, colors, and towels. Due to my busy schedule filled with doctor's appointments, I haven't had someone address it recently. Dealing with this machine has been a headache and a nightmare. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I contacted GE Customer Service at [redacted]-GE-CARES to request service for my oven on September 7, [redacted]. The technician, identified with ID# [redacted]35, said a new oven igniter was required and supposedly ordered the part for home delivery, scheduling a return on September 17. When I called on September 14 to confirm, the service ticket was closed, and the part was never ordered as promised, causing me to reschedule for September 17. The technician ordered parts WB02X9154 and WB2X9154 on September 17, with a follow-up appointment set for September 24. Despite being told the service was completed on October 1, the part was on back order until October 24. After further calls indicating completion and back orders, I contacted GE Parts/Service at [redacted] on November 7, learning the part was in stock. However, on November 20, I received the wrong part, a broil element. After discussing this with various departments, I was advised to dispose of the incorrect part by Victoria from GE CARES on November 26. Despite three months of calls, I gave up and bought a new stove/oven from a different brand, vowing never to purchase from GE again.

I purchased an $8,[redacted] GE Profile side-by-side refrigerator freezer in [redacted]. Initially, the ice maker and freezer malfunctioned, followed by the refrigerator. After scheduling a service call, the technician deemed the appliance tampered with by a non-GE party, resulting in a $75 charge for an inconclusive service. The issue of non-GE parts should have been disclosed prior to the appointment, prompting a refund of the $75 fee and a transparent service policy from GE regarding third-party alterations.

I bought a GE Electric Cooktop in June [redacted], but it has recently stopped working. A GE technician came and claimed the issue was with my electricity, which I had already addressed with an electrician. Then, another technician was supposed to come but never showed up. When I contacted GE again, they said my warranty only covers repairs. I can't wait at home all day for repairs. I need a replacement cooktop similar to the one I have. This has been a terrible experience. I also purchased a double oven from GE, and I regret dealing with them.

I am extremely disappointed with the product, customer service, and service department of this company. We purchased a new house at the end of January and registered our appliances. In February, our microwave started having issues with the button sticking. After calling the service number, we were informed that the part was on backorder for three weeks. Two weeks later, the button broke while cooking, and we had to turn it off completely. We escalated the issue, and after speaking with a manager, we were told a replacement unit might be necessary. However, more than a week has passed without any update. The microwave parts for the original issue arrived over the weekend, and we received a call today scheduling a repair for April 3rd, requiring one of us to take a full day off work. This extended delay and inconvenience are unacceptable. I urge the company to address this situation promptly.

I purchased a GE washer yesterday, but I am quite dissatisfied with it. I find the noise it makes bothersome and do not appreciate the lock-down lid feature. The fact that it does not empty the wash load before starting to rinse is also a downside for me. I prefer a simpler washer that would complete the washing, emptying, and spinning of water before moving on to the rinsing cycle. The technical aspects of this model are not to my liking. I am inquiring about GE's return policy and seeking a refund. Thank you. Sincerely, Ethel Wabash, IN [redacted]

I purchased a washing machine from Home Depot in January [redacted] and encountered issues right away. Despite ongoing problems with the machine not completing the wash cycle, I was advised by Home Depot to continue using it due to the one-year warranty. However, after 13 months, the machine completely failed and Home Depot refused to help, citing no extended warranty. Despite previously reporting the issues, they showed no concern for my situation. I am disappointed with their lack of customer care and will no longer shop there. I am seeking assistance to have the machine repaired or replaced at no cost as it has been problematic since the beginning.

Technicians are scheduled to visit my home on Friday, July 19th to inspect my washer/dryer, purchased at the end of August or early September [redacted]. When I made the appointment online, there was no option to indicate that my machine is still under warranty, so I should not be charged for the service. They requested payment before starting any work, but I want the technicians to be aware that I should not be billed. Please assist. -Claire H.

I purchased a GE microwave model HVM1750sp2ss in [redacted] due to its reputation for reliability. However, I am currently experiencing an issue with it. After heating food, once the timer stops, the microwave loses all power - lights go off, the digital keypad displays nothing, and it becomes unresponsive. Sometimes unplugging and plugging it back in restores power, but not always. I've observed that leaving it in the powerless state eventually brings back the display and functionality. It appears others have faced similar issues with this model. I am disappointed that after just five years, I may need to replace parts, most likely the control panel according to online sources. If GE could provide the replacement part, I would be willing to undertake the repairs myself.

Subject: Concerns with GE Products Delivery and Installation Service I am writing to express my disappointment with the delivery and installation service provided by the company responsible for GE product deliveries from Home Depot. My recent experience with purchasing an Amana washer and dryer on October 4 has been frustrating. Upon delivery, it was discovered that adjustments were needed for the appliances to fit properly. This required additional expenses for plumbing and vent repairs, which were not communicated in advance. Scheduling the reinstallation proved to be challenging, with delays and miscommunication causing inconvenience. Despite multiple attempts to address the issues with store staff and customer service representatives, the service has remained unsatisfactory. I feel that the delivery service's lack of coordination and consideration for customers' time and needs reflects poorly on GE and Home Depot. I urge you to reevaluate your partnership with this delivery service to ensure better customer satisfaction in the future. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

On November 11, I purchased a Unitized Spacemaker Electric Washer Dryer from Costco online, with item #[redacted] and order #[redacted]34. The scheduled delivery was for November 15. Upon the delivery truck's arrival at our apartment, my husband was asked to let them in and witnessed the delivery person attempting to remove the washer/dryer forcefully, causing damage. Despite pointing out the dent on the appliance, the delivery team insisted it was okay to accept it. We visited Costco for assistance, where we were informed a replacement order was placed. However, after contacting Costco today, I was told that we needed to cancel and reorder the item due to misinformation provided to GE. I did cancel the order, but I do not plan to reorder the appliance. Just wanted to clarify the situation. Thank you. - Rosalia G.

I recently had an issue with my GE appliances when the motherboard failed on June 21, [redacted], and the repair wasn't completed until Sept 4, [redacted], which was quite a long wait. Unfortunately, on Dec 7th, the motherboard failed again and the stove stopped working. I have a repair appointment scheduled with Assurance for Dec 24 between 12-5, but based on past experiences, I anticipate that the motherboard will need to be replaced again, possibly leading to a long wait due to it being on back order. I am feeling frustrated and disappointed with the customer service provided by GE. It's disheartening to think that my wife may be without a functioning stove for an unknown period of time.

I recently purchased a new house in December and decided to outfit it with GE products, including a microwave, stove, dishwasher, freezer, washer, water softener, and dryer. However, I have encountered issues specifically with the washer. Upon inspection of the cycles, I discovered there was no soap and water cycle, which is essential for proper cleaning. Additionally, the water level function is not working correctly, leading to some clothes being wet and others remaining dirty after a cycle. Despite multiple service calls and technician visits (a total of 6), the problem persists. I am now requesting a resolution to this issue or a replacement. With two young children at home, I require a functioning washer. I paid the full price for this appliance and expect it to work properly. Please address this matter promptly as it has not met my expectations.

I have a stack washer/dryer that is 4 years old. I was informed that the motor/transmission is broken, and the repair could cost $[redacted]-$[redacted], which I find unreasonable. I bought this unit, along with other appliances, trusting that it would last longer. The washer malfunctioned – it filled with water but did not spin the drum. I tried running it empty, but the same issue occurred, and the lights turned off. I purchased the set from Kleckner and Sons in Whitehall, PA, a registered reseller and repair center for GE. My name is Mike, and you can reach me at [redacted].

I purchased a GE washing machine model GTW840CSNOWS on April 1st for $[redacted] at Lowe's in Norman, OK. After using it for just one month, it stopped working. When I pressed the start button, "Lid" flashed on the screen, but it wouldn't do anything else. I contacted customer service multiple times, but no one has been able to fix it. They promised calls within 24-72 hours, but no one followed up. I received a $75 check for laundry expenses, but the machine remains unfixed. I no longer want it repaired or replaced. I am requesting a refund of $[redacted] so I can purchase a different brand. I have tried contacting the corporate office but have not had any success. I would like a resolution soon as I have been patient and now seek answers and my money back. Thank you.

I'm ready to send my second complaint as my washing machine keeps locking unexpectedly, causing hot water to spill on my delicate white clothes. The machine restarts without warning, making it difficult to intervene. I want a reliable replacement for this faulty model bought by my daughter, Kyla Moles, at Costco. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thank you.

My new washing machine has stopped working, so I contacted the service company provided by GE. Unfortunately, the contracted service was subpar, informing me that the necessary parts are out of stock with no estimate on when they will be available, potentially taking more than a month. I attempted to reach out to consumer relations at GE to request a replacement washing machine, but I was caught in a frustrating loop. Each time I called, I was transferred multiple times and eventually disconnected after lengthy hold times. To make matters worse, they require a consumer relations case number to speak to someone, but you can only obtain this by speaking to them. It's been a dreadful experience.
