We reached out to GE regarding an issue with our fridge, model * PSE**KSEEESS, where the freezer shelves do not fit properly, falling off the tracks. We were informed of a manufacturer's defect and advised to purchase a kit for $***. We question why, as consumers, we should pay for the manufacturer's error. After discussions, GE offered a **% discount, but we feel we shouldn't be charged at all. We bought the fridge assuming all parts were working correctly. This isn't a part that wears out over time but a clear flaw that the manufacturer should address. We shouldn't have to pay for the kit. We are requesting a reimbursement of $***.** USD.

I purchased one of your sensor-operated Christmas trees last year, and initially, I was delighted not to have to fuss with cords. Unfortunately, after just two seasons, the top lights have stopped working. Growing up in a family with a history at GE, known for its quality, I expected better. For instance, a GE washer lasted my mother 30 years. I may be a baby boomer, but I believe quality should remain consistent. I invested in this tree and stored it meticulously, discarding the box in confidence. As retired military, my husband and I instilled values of giving [redacted]%. While I won't return it to Lowe's without the receipt, the tree's failure after two seasons is disappointing. GE needs to return to its former quality standards. I will find a solution, as resilience runs in my military family. It's frustrating to see a GE product fail so soon; I hope our new GE washer lasts longer. Two seasons - truly unsatisfactory.

I purchased a GE washing machine from Lowe's back in July [redacted]. Since then, I've been doing an average of 3-4 loads of laundry per week. About half of these loads have had issues with the machine making loud noises and vibrating during the spin cycle. I've tried adjusting the load size and contents, but it still doesn't always work properly. I contacted GE service and had a technician, Mark, come by on December 5 as scheduled. However, he couldn't pinpoint the exact problem causing the noise and vibration. He mentioned issues with detergent usage and water temperature settings, which I assured him were not the problem. I'm disappointed with the quality of this GE product, especially after being a loyal customer for 50 years. I hope to hear back from GE soon with a solution to this ongoing issue.

I bought a complete appliance package in June [redacted]. I've had ongoing issues with the oven, which GE replaced on 11/14. The new oven still has problems. The appliance dealer has been to my home twice for burner issues, and I have another repair scheduled for the convection oven on Tuesday. Cookies that should bake in 8-10 minutes are taking 25-30, not cooking evenly. I can't keep waiting for repairmen. It's been 6 months of problems. I think the double oven might be the issue. Should we switch to a single door oven? I can't deal with this stove for another 6 months. Please respond promptly.

I purchased a refrigerator on November 24th, and it was delivered on December 6th. Unfortunately, the fridge was not functional. I even paid to have my old fridge removed, which was still working. When I contacted GE about the issue, I was informed that I would need to wait until the 17th due to a high number of deliveries. As a result, I now have a non-working fridge in my living room, had to rent another one, and I'm stuck waiting until the 17th. I submitted a complaint but only received an automated response instructing me to call the same number that I had already contacted.

My son, a manager at GE in Texas, ordered a dishwasher for me, which arrived on Thursday, December 5th. The delivery team couldn't install it due to a soldered pipe. They couldn't return until after the 16th. I had to hire a plumber for $[redacted]. When I tried to schedule the haul away, Home Depot couldn't find my order, so they gave me a GE repair number. I got disconnected when transferred. After removing a sticker on the dishwasher, I realized I needed to peel off a film underneath. The plate won't stick back on properly. Frustrated, I decided to return the dishwasher. Before doing so, my son suggested contacting Customer Relations to address the issues. I am requesting assistance with: 1. Refunding the installation cost. 2. Fixing the plate sticker on the front of the dishwasher. 3. Scheduling the pick-up of the old dishwasher. Thank you, Nancy T. My son, who is a manager for GE in Texas, ordered a dishwasher for me, which was delivered on December 5th. However, during delivery, they were unable to install it due to a soldered pipe under the sink, requiring me to find a plumber to make adjustments. Unfortunately, the earliest installation date available was after the 16th, causing inconvenience as I have family visiting. When I arranged for a plumber to install it, the cost was $[redacted], much to my surprise. Upon contacting the provided number for the old dishwasher haul-away service, I was redirected multiple times and ultimately faced a dead-end when the support helpline closed abruptly. Moreover, there was confusion regarding the dishwasher's settings as the sticker was misleading and damaged during removal. Feeling overwhelmed, I considered returning the dishwasher until my son suggested contacting Customer Relations for assistance. I am now seeking help for a refund of the installation fee, replacing the damaged sticker on the dishwasher, and scheduling the pick-up of the old appliance. Thank you, Nancy Truesdell

Our GE refrigerator's water line in the freezer door keeps freezing. Local service repair confirms this is a common issue with GE refrigerators. Despite my counter-depth unit not having a heater repair kit available, the local repair person has looked into it. I have tried unfreezing the line, but it refreezes overnight. This seems to be a widespread issue affecting many users. There should be a solution provided by GE for those of us who bought these units brand new.

Model: WPDH8800J0MV Serial: SR201028T Greetings, I am contacting you regarding a recent service call for my front-loading washing machine with the above model and serial numbers. Despite having had the basket changed within the last 1 or 2 years, there seems to be no record of this service. GE has encountered similar issues before possibly due to multiple profiles associated with our accounts. Could you please assist me in locating the service history for this appliance? I distinctly remember the basket being serviced and replaced. Contact numbers: [redacted] [redacted] Email addresses: [redacted] [redacted] Thank you, V. H.

Today, I had a technician come to check my dryer because it was not drying fast enough. However, after their visit, my dryer stopped working altogether. I was charged $[redacted] for a service that seems to have made things worse. The company has informed me that they cannot return until Monday, leaving me without a working dryer. Before the technician's visit, my dryer was functioning properly. This situation is unacceptable. I feel frustrated as I paid to have my dryer break down, and now I am left without a solution for a week, with three children in the house. I am in need of assistance, and no one seems willing to help me.

I am the property manager for an overseas owner in Reston, VA. In September [redacted], we bought a new GE dishwasher. Unfortunately, in November [redacted], we were informed that the sensor panels needed replacement, which was nearly the cost of a new machine. Instead, we decided to buy a new dishwasher due to the recurring issues with this model. I would like to request assistance regarding the purchase of this dishwasher. I can supply the original purchase invoice from September [redacted], the repair invoice, and the receipt for the new dishwasher. Kindly guide me on how to proceed. Thank you.

I was notified that a repair person won't be available until 12/23. They initially came on Fri the 13th, mentioned needing a part, and a follow-up on Mon the 16th was anticipated. However, no updates were provided. Upon reaching out, I confirmed I should await the part's delivery and call for immediate assistance upon its arrival. The part arrived today, and despite contacting them, I was informed I still must wait until the 23rd. This delay is affecting my family plans, including cooking Sunday dinner and making cookies with my grandchild. This situation is challenging, and I hope for a resolution soon.

My GE microwave seems to be malfunctioning frequently. Within a year of buying it, I have already had to have 5 service calls to address the same issue. The model number is JVM3160RF5SS and the serial number is LL227870A. Unfortunately, the microwave is acting up again. I purchased the cooktop, oven, and microwave from GE simultaneously in August [redacted]. While I am satisfied with the cooktop and oven, the microwave's constant issues are disappointing. It appears that this particular microwave might be defective and might need to be replaced.

I recently bought a set of GE appliances, including a gas range. Despite having scheduled a service appointment a week in advance for Saturday, Dec 21, with a service window of 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., no one showed up or contacted me. Throughout the day, each time I called the service 1-[redacted] number, I received a different excuse. This experience has left me deeply disappointed in GE's customer service. My faulty gas range remains unfixed, complicating my plans for hosting Christmas dinner. This level of service is unprecedented in my past experiences with other companies. The holidays have been significantly impacted by this lacking service.

Hello! I bought a GE Profile stainless steel downdraft gas cooktop seven years ago. Recently, while entertaining guests in our kitchen, we noticed a hot smell. Despite searching the house, the source was the bottom right regulator which started sparking and smoking about 15 minutes later without the stove in use. Disconnecting the power supply stopped it, but the knob above melted and the unit no longer functions properly. We can still light the stove with a match but would like to fix it for safety reasons. I wonder why this occurred, if the controller can be fixed, where to find parts, and if it will be safe after repairs. Has this issue happened with other units in this model? I plan to research online and contact consumer affairs. Your prompt response is appreciated. Thank you! Best regards, C. Malanson.

On December 12th, we purchased a washer and dryer from Best Appliance and Kitchen in Glens Falls, NY. Unfortunately, both appliances are not working correctly. We had a technician appointment, but it got canceled last minute due to illness. Best Appliance informed us that we need to contact customer relations to arrange for the return of the washer and dryer for a full refund. The washer's model is GTW720BSNWS with serial number RM9o649oG, and the dryer is model GTD72EBSNWS with serial number TM831555C. Best Appliance is requesting approval and payment for the return of the appliances. We are stuck in a loop trying to resolve this situation and get the items picked up for a refund.

I had a service technician scheduled to come and replace the control board on my range hood. Despite requesting the part, the technician did not bring it and had to order it to be shipped to my house for another appointment. GE did not provide me with the promised confirmation the day before the appointment. Upon Charles's arrival, he confirmed the issue and scheduled a new appointment for 12/30 from 8-12pm. Once again, there was no communication the night before, leading me to forget about the appointment. When Charles tried to reach me on the day of the appointment, my phone was off due to work, causing a missed opportunity to reschedule. I was able to track his location via the customer portal, but unfortunately, he did not follow up or arrive. After contacting GE Service and speaking with Donna, she promised to pass on my message, but she abruptly hung up on me when I inquired about the notification and rescheduling policy. I am disappointed with this experience and request immediate contact to reschedule the installation. It's frustrating that a two-year-old Range Hood is already experiencing issues. Thank you.

I recently purchased a refrigerator, and within two weeks, I've had two service calls. Unfortunately, the issue persists - water constantly drips from the ice/water dispenser, leading to spills every time the freezer is opened. Additionally, there is a concerning amount of condensation inside the refrigerator, with temperature variations ranging from the mid-40s to upper 30s across shelves. The service technicians have inspected the unit but claim that everything is functioning as expected. Despite replacing a flap on the water dispenser, the leaking problem remains unresolved. My previous GE refrigerator, which I used for 18 years, did not present these challenges. Currently, our vegetables are freezing in the fridge, and although we were advised to store them in bins to prevent freezing, our dietary needs as vegans require more space than the bins can accommodate.

On November 20th, [redacted], my cooktop stopped working just before Thanksgiving. Despite two visits from a repairman and replacing parts, the issue persists. The last appointment in December was cancelled due to a backordered part. It's now January 2nd, and I'm still without a functioning cooktop. Unable to cook for my children or host the holidays, this is frustrating. Even my new GE oven clock is malfunctioning and needs a part. The lack of response or resolution is disappointing. Despite escalating the issue, there has been no follow-up. Planning to contact the Better Business Bureau due to this ongoing problem. Avoiding recommending GE appliances in the future due to this experience.

On December 20, [redacted], a GE technician attempted to repair our washer but needed to order parts. The next repair date scheduled was for January 6, [redacted] between 8 AM and 12 PM. To prepare for the repair, we needed to move the washer out of the laundry room. Boxes containing the parts were promptly delivered. Due to our physical limitations, we hired a handyman to rearrange our furniture to make space. The technician did not arrive within the scheduled time, leading to a call to the dispatch who rescheduled the time to before 5 PM on the same day. Upon checking the work order online, it showed a repair date of January 13th instead. We urgently require assistance and hope the repair can be done today. Thank you.
