I am having trouble with my 8-month-old refrigerator, which broke on 23 February [redacted]. I had 10 parts ordered for repair, with expedited delivery to speed things up. After rescheduling the repair date, the technician arrived but couldn't do the job due to time constraints. My original repair date was set for 13 March [redacted]. As a disabled Veteran and part of an elderly couple, this delay feels inhumane. Our case number is #[redacted]36. I am hoping for an expedited repair or a replacement for this non-functioning GE Refrigerator.

I purchased a dishwasher in May [redacted] and have had five service appointments for it. I faced issues with scheduling and the repairmen not addressing the problem correctly. Customer service repeatedly scheduled appointments during my work hours without checking if I could be home. Eventually, a different company fixed the issue, revealing a design flaw with the hose and electric attachments being too close to each other. This flaw could have been resolved earlier if the initial repairman had considered my concerns. I received better guidance from "Mr. Appliance" on how to avoid future tangling issues. The overall experience with GE customer service was frustrating as my calls were cut short, and my concerns were not addressed. I am disappointed with the service and will avoid buying GE appliances in the future.

Case #[redacted]5: New Home, Fridge Issue I recently moved into a new home on 7/25/22, where we had a fridge purchased in [redacted] stored in the warehouse during construction. Our Cafe refrigerator is already showing scuff marks and scratches on the ice dispenser lever from glasses rubbing against the stainless steel while using the water and ice dispenser. Despite using Bar Keeper’s Friend (soft scrub), the marks remain. This is unusual compared to my past experiences with other stainless steel refrigerators. As we are still within the first year of the warranty period, I am seeking advice on what steps can be taken to address this issue.

I and my husband purchased a Ryan home with a GE electric range model JB645RK6SS. The range, around a year old, has been tripping the breaker randomly over the past 5 months and the "hot surface" light is not working. Electricians have inspected the range and found no issues. I am concerned about this safety issue and believe the range should be checked at no cost due to its age. Please advise on how to proceed promptly. Thank you.

My microwave is not heating up, and I was told it's a magnetron issue. I bought it two years ago for $[redacted]. I am disappointed with the quality of the product. After speaking with Service and Parts, the repair costs are almost as much as a new one. I have my purchase receipt and registered it in September [redacted] under my name, Barbara Ulanet. I have left a voicemail on the customer relations line, but no one has returned my call. My spouse is handicapped, so prompt resolution is crucial. I prefer a phone call over email due to my work schedule. I am eager to talk to customer relations and resolve this matter as soon as possible.

We purchased a new GE dryer on January 17, [redacted], and unfortunately, it stopped heating on February 9, [redacted]. A technician visited on February 21, [redacted], assessed the issue, and ordered replacement parts. After returning on March 2, [redacted], the dryer still wouldn't heat, so they ordered more parts. Despite this, we are still waiting for the second part. Lowes agreed to a refund if GE authorized a return, but GE declined, opting instead to attempt fixing the problem by replacing the wiring system. I phoned GE today, March 20, [redacted], and discovered the part had not been ordered, leaving us without a dryer. I simply wish to receive a refund or a new dryer. It's frustrating to have these ongoing issues with a brand new appliance out of the box.

I have a Cafe CVE28DP2NS1 refrigerator with a noisy ice maker that has recently stopped making ice. A repairman diagnosed the issue as the fan motor and mentioned that the noise it was making previously was not normal. I purchased the refrigerator just over a year ago in October [redacted]. The repair cost is a little over $[redacted]. I was hoping for some assistance from GE due to the likelihood that the defect existed before we noticed it. Thank you, Debbie D.

I am still dealing with the aftermath of this terrible experience. I recently submitted an insurance claim regarding the issues I faced with First Class Logistics, the third-party company associated with Spirit Logistics that GE utilizes for deliveries. Westfield Insurance has informed me that First Class Logistics has not been cooperating. As a result, I have retained a lawyer to potentially take legal action against GE, Spirit, and First Class if they do not take responsibility and cover the costs of the damages I incurred due to their negligence. The stress and financial burden caused by GE, Spirit, and First Class are becoming increasingly overwhelming. I have attached the necessary documentation, including pictures of the damages incurred back in December [redacted].

I require a repair for my GE dryer. I previously used a service technician in May or June [redacted] for my washer, and he did a fantastic job. I would like to have him return. My details are as follows: George N. 14 Fairway Drive Swainton Cape May House New Jersey [redacted]

On February 15, I bought a washer at Lowes. Unfortunately, the first three loads failed on February 19. I filed claims with both Lowes and GE, but Lowes denied the claim. GE scheduled an appointment for February 21, but it was rescheduled for February 23. The technician ordered parts, which were expected to arrive in 7-10 days. However, on March 13, XP Electronics informed me that the main board was back-ordered until April 10. After experiencing difficulties following up, GE finally shipped the part (WH13X26637) to me on March 16. The technician installed the part on March 22, but the washer still failed to operate correctly. Multiple attempts were made to resolve the issue, with videos showing the problems. Despite the ongoing complications, GE's case management software closed the issue, prompting the need for a follow-up call.

I wanted to bring to your attention an issue with a Washer purchased in April at the Hoome Depot Store in Bowie, MD. The Dryer is working fine; however, the Washer, Model #GTW540ASP2WS Serial #FT918393G, is not washing clothes fully and stretches fabrics like cotton shirts and blouses. I believe this machine may need to be recalled. This is my first encounter with GE appliances, and it's been disappointing. Despite contacting the store and GE, no resolution was reached. Technicians found no mechanical problem, but it seems the issue lies in the low water and agitating device, leading to ineffective washing. I've reached out to the Complaints Department at GE, but I'm not optimistic about a solution. My next step will be to contact the National Consumer Department in Washington, DC. The current product is not meeting expectations, and I hope for a better resolution. Thank you for listening to my concerns. Best regards, ABell

My GE Monogram 48" side-by-side built-in refrigerator had temperature control issues since 2/21. Despite spending $[redacted] for repairs the same day, the problem persisted. Technicians returned on 2/22 and 3/28, unsuccessfully trying to fix it. With continued temperature control failures, we decided to purchase a new $11,[redacted] GE refrigerator to avoid food spoilage and inconvenience. I am frustrated and simply requesting a refund of the initial $[redacted] repair cost as it did not resolve the issue.

I am having an issue with my gas dryer. Here is a brief overview: I received a new unit on 10-19-[redacted]. There was a noise problem, and AAA serviced the machine. After about 5 visits, multiple parts were replaced, but the noise persisted. GE replaced the machine, which was delivered on 3-1-[redacted], but the same noise issue reoccurred. A technician from AAA visited and confirmed the noise but did not make any repairs, suggesting I contact Nicor to check the gas pressure. Nicor inspected the gas meter and valve outside the house, made some adjustments, but the noise remains. It occurs on both "Fluff" and "heat on" cycles, consistently when the heat is on. I am seeking advice on the next steps to resolve this. Please contact me to discuss further. Thank you.

Good afternoon and God bless you. I am Maria C. and I recently purchased a combo washer and dryer from American Freight. Unfortunately, the machine's last spin cycle was not functioning, so I scheduled a service appointment online with confirmation number [redacted]06. The technician was delayed and arrived around 4:15 pm, but only suggested checking the water hose despite the issue persisting. After a frustrating interaction with Mr. V., another technician, Mr. J., identified multiple problems with the machine. My family has been inconvenienced for nearly a month without a working appliance. I am disappointed with Tech V.'s service and attitude, and now have to wait until April 24 for further repairs. I am left questioning if General Electric appliances were a good choice. I am considering requesting a refund for the inconvenience and time lost due to these ongoing issues. Thank you. Maria C. I bought a GE Cafe built-in Combination Advantium/Convection Wall Oven on October 22, [redacted], for $[redacted]. I selected this oven for its advertised features of microwaving, proofing, toasting, and warming. Excited to replace my standalone microwave and toaster ovens, I purchased it from Home Depot. The oven was delivered on December 29, [redacted], but due to a renovation delay, we only started using it on March 1. Unfortunately, when trying to toast bread, following the directions precisely five times, it didn't work. Even after multiple attempts in the following days, the toast feature failed. The microwave and warming functions are working, but not the toast feature. I am upset by the false advertising and the inability to toast, and I would appreciate speaking with a real person from GE about this matter.

I had multiple service appointments on March 8th, but unfortunately, both service technicians were unable to resolve the issue with my range. The initial problem was a stove top burner that wouldn't turn off. The situation escalated as follows: 1) a part was received but turned out to be defective, 2) the front knob was broken during service, 3) the part broke on two separate occasions with different technicians, and 4) after the last service, the oven became unusable just before a family holiday gathering, pushing us to purchase a new oven costing $[redacted], turning a $[redacted] repair into a substantial expense. The month without an oven resulted in high takeout and dining out expenses. I am disappointed with the resolution offered and would like to request to escalate this matter to someone at the GE headquarters.

I recently moved into a new house and the built-in wall oven broke on 4/29/[redacted]. The builder contacted GE appliances, who agreed to replace the unit. However, I have not received any update on when the installation will take place. I own a 2 1/2-year-old GE Induction range CHS900M2NS5, and the control panel recently malfunctioned. The display intermittently shows numbers, making the oven unusable. A GE technician visited today and advised that the entire control panel needs replacement, amounting to $[redacted] with installation. I find it unreasonable that the burner controls are tied to the same panel instead of being modular for easier repair. This disappointing experience raises concerns about the perceived quality of GE products, as a $3,[redacted] stove should not require extensive repairs within such a short time. The repair process was further hindered by extended wait times when contacting the service center for parts, leaving me frustrated and questioning the reliability of the supposedly high-end GE appliances.

I contacted support regarding my failed refrigerator and after 5 hours, I spoke with two individuals. The first person struggled to find a service option and put me on hold. After a 20-minute wait, I was disconnected. Others just directed me to an automated system. My $[redacted] appliance broke down one week after the warranty ended, causing loss of food and damage to my basement. I believe GE should provide more help than endless holds. Also, your call back feature is not functioning. Please arrange for a representative to contact me. - Dennis Richey [redacted]

I am seeking to return the GE Gas Range JG735ssPSS/Lt20681P due to its inability to cook properly, particularly in browning food. I have attempted various methods without success, even with the assistance of customer service and a repairman. The oven does not produce the same results as my previous GE oven XL44TM, where I could easily achieve perfectly browned and crispy oven-fried chicken. Despite troubleshooting different temperatures and using various cooking modes, I am still unsatisfied with the outcome. After my previous oven failed and was replaced, I chose this new model with additional features and a service plan, but it has not met my expectations. I am considering returning the stove for a simpler model or exploring other brands if a resolution cannot be found.
