We have had a GE stove for the past decade and have been pleased with the product. Unfortunately, it recently broke down. We sought help from Sears Home Services, an authorized GE repair service. The initial quote was over $[redacted] for diagnosis, labor, and parts. Despite multiple canceled appointments for installation, we are still without a working stove. As senior citizens, aged 97 and 75, we feel frustrated and wonder if our age played a role in the service delays. We are considering canceling the repair, even though we have already paid $[redacted] for labor and parts. Speaking to Sears this morning was unsatisfactory, as we're desperate for a resolution. We plan to have a technician visit on 10/08/18, but given the poor communication, we are now reaching out to GE's customer service. I bought all GE Cafe appliances back in [redacted]. Recently, the touchpad on my microwave started malfunctioning, so I contacted the appliance store for assistance. They directed me to customer service due to known issues with my model. After speaking to Camille and Ashley, they claimed there was no problem with the touchpad, just that the handle might have peeled off. Despite finding several complaints online about touchpad issues causing overheating problems, GE refuses to address the issue. I am frustrated that GE is ignoring a persistent problem that has been documented for years. Even though my microwave is now malfunctioning, it doesn't change the fact that this issue has been raised since [redacted].

On June 8th, a GE service technician, #[redacted] in South Florida, visited our home at [redacted] Lake Vista Court, Parkland, FL [redacted] to replace a knob on our dryer. The dryer had been intermittently stopping before ceasing to work altogether.
On August 9th, the same issue occurred, although the knob was still intact. Another technician arrived with a poor attitude, was dismissive and argumentative when provided with context on the problem. He abruptly left, stating he didn't care if we reported him to his manager. This unprofessional behavior prompted a call to Consumer Relations, who acknowledged the technician's conduct and promised to address it. Despite arranging for the original tech #[redacted] to return, the visit was canceled without explanation.
We are disappointed by the lack of professionalism displayed by the technician and urge GE to thoroughly vet and train their technicians for better customer service in Broward County. The experience has made us reconsider purchasing new GE appliances.

I recently purchased all new GE appliances for my new home. Unfortunately, the double oven did not work for two months, requiring seven visits from the repairman, leading me to take multiple days off work. Additionally, the refrigerator had frost issues since day one, resulting in 17 repair visits. After receiving a replacement with a dent, and subsequently another one with a door dent, I have been waiting for a new door. Despite GE offering to let me keep the old refrigerator, I have not yet received the replacement door. While the freezer still frosts up, the refrigerator works fine. The delivery team insists on picking up the old refrigerator, though I don't understand why they won't let me keep it. I would appreciate assistance in resolving this matter. Thank you, Della Dailey.

On July 16, [redacted], I reached out to GE to arrange a warranty repair for our clothes washer at Watson Place, which we bought on 9/21/[redacted]. GE provided me with a temporary confirmation number [redacted]16. They were supposed to contact Jerry, the apartment manager, within 24 to 48 hours, but that didn't happen. After Jerry contacted them, a technician from "Jet Appliance" inspected the washer and said it needs a new part. Despite the technician supposedly ordering it, there have been communication issues. I followed up with Jet via email and received a response from GE stating they couldn't find a technician. After speaking with Cynthia from GE, she gave me a new confirmation number ([redacted]70) and provided a contact for Consumer Licensing if needed. The washer is still functional but makes a loud noise.

Upon moving into a new home, we encountered an issue with our 20-year-old GE Profile refrigerator's ice maker. The ice maker's four-prong plug inside the freezer is in an awkward position and easily becomes unplugged. In a recent incident, while trying to replug it, I experienced a major shock that caused me to fall. Fortunately, the shock was mild, but I sustained a cut on my foot during the fall. The plug area inside the refrigerator is now burnt, and I have documented this with photos. I am concerned about the safety of the appliance and am unsure if there has been a safety recall that I am not aware of. Due to the electrical damage, I am hesitant to plug it in again and am seeking advice on whether it can be repaired to function properly.

I recently had a service technician, Dan with the number [redacted]07, come to my home to assess my refrigerator. Unfortunately, he showed a total disregard for my property. I had to help him move the refrigerator to access it because he was rough and careless, causing some damage to my cabinet. He also bumped into the cabinetry, resulting in a chip about the size of a nickel in the glazing and another smaller chip. When I pointed this out, his response was dismissive, suggesting it would just require some paint, which is not feasible since my cabinets are not painted. The experience has left me hesitant about purchasing another GE refrigerator, given the poor service I received. I have been trying, unsuccessfully, to reach your customer service for assistance with this matter.

I recently purchased various GE appliances for my home, including a microwave which stopped working just after the 1-year warranty expired. Despite never having an issue with GE products before, our 14-month-old microwave has been frustrating. A technician diagnosed that a new board was needed, which was initially provided free of charge by consumer relations. Although the microwave seemed to work after the board was replaced, it started malfunctioning again shortly after. Despite my efforts, including spending $[redacted] on technician visits, the microwave continues to have issues. Consumer relations informed me that the model is no longer in production, leaving me unable to replace it. Despite being offered a concession price for a comparable microwave in stock, it still requires purchasing a new trim package, resulting in a total cost higher than what I originally paid. This situation has left me extremely dissatisfied with the product and the response from consumer relations.

The freezer, which has had ice build-up since shortly after purchase, has been a continuous issue even after multiple attempts to repair under warranty. The extended warranty service has also been ineffective after several technician visits and parts replacements. Currently, parts are on backorder until Oct. 15. The problem persists, causing the freezer door to freeze shut, filling the drawer with ice, and affecting the light switch. Multiple calls to customer service have led to long wait times, prompting frustration. Seeking a resolution, the next step is to contact the Indiana Attorney General's office. This experience has soured the opinion of GE products, and the hope is to avoid future purchases from the brand.

I am Seema Gupta, the owner of GTW680BSJWS with Serial No: TH147444G, which is almost 1 year old and has experienced the same issue twice, in August and most recently this past Sunday (9/23/18).
The machine is noisy during spinning and moves around, making it concerning to continue using. I had opted for a GE product over Samsung, but I am now worried about its reliability.
Although a repair is scheduled for this Friday, I am unsure if it will solve the problem for good. I am requesting a replacement for this washing machine since I feel like I have received a refurbished unit. My intention was to invest my money in a reliable product, not to deal with stress and uncertainties.

Despite contacting Costco, the delivery department, and GE, a new delivery date of 9/29 was set, with uncertainty about whether it will arrive on time. The situation has left me without a dryer, causing stress and inconvenience, as well as additional costs for laundry services and the added burden of taking my young children to the laundromat. I believe this lack of accountability from GE is unacceptable, and I am seeking a quick response, resolution, and compensation for the stress and hardship I have experienced. I had a terrible experience with my recent purchase of a range. I was hoping for a high-quality electrical range to be delivered to my 6th-floor apartment. I paid for the delivery to my apartment, but upon receiving it, the range seemed fine on the outside. However, when a certified electrician installed it, one of the burners was not working due to a loose heating element inside the range. This posed a serious fire hazard, which was only discovered upon testing it. After complaining to Home Depot, I was redirected to GE for assistance. A GE technician fixed the heating element but ended up causing another issue with a different burner. I scheduled another appointment for the front heating element, but I missed the electrician's visit, despite not receiving any notification. This whole experience has been frustrating, and I will avoid purchasing any GE appliances from Home Depot in the future.

I have had a terrible experience with GE service! It took four service calls to fix my ice maker, and then three weeks later, my fridge froze up. The service guy said it would take a week to get the parts, but I insisted they be overnighted. Surprisingly, they arrived in just two days! When I called to schedule the appointment, they gave me a date for three days later, but I was leaving on Friday, so I had to speak to a supervisor to get a same-day appointment. I provided my contact information, specifically stating to use my number only, and to remove my husband's out-of-state number. Despite this, the technician called my husband, causing confusion about the timing of the visit. When I rushed to meet him, he left before I could arrive, and then he wouldn't answer the phone. I have been without a fridge for six days, which is unacceptable. This whole experience has made me vow never to purchase another GE product again.

Please review my issue and the previous correspondence with your GE Appliances Store. My incident regarding the GE Appliances Store Loyalty Program [Incident: [redacted]49] remains unresolved. The technician replaced the icemaker chute part, after which my refrigerator ceased to work. The same technician later mentioned the need for major repairs or replacement. It is clear that the refrigerator was broken during the initial repair. I am requesting a replacement refrigerator of similar value, such as the GE Energy System Model CYEZZUS HSS. After a brief period, my GE trash compactor (model UCG1680LSS) failed to close correctly following a distinct clunk noise. My previous Kitchen Aid compactor served me well for 21 years without any problems. I only replaced it with the GE model due to color. Regretting not spending the extra $[redacted] on another Kitchen Aid. A technician visited on 9/26/18 and identified an object in the bottom causing the issue, possibly explaining the noise. Parts need to be ordered. Displeased that no protection was used on our wooden floor during the visit. Four packages from GE received within three days, assumed to be repair parts. Had to contact the store for GE's contact number. After calling, learned the repair appointment was set for 10/11, with parts shipping in advance and the possibility of rescheduling an earlier appointment. The lack of communication from the repair person is disappointing. The quality of the GE unit disappoints me, and the service so far has been subpar. Not satisfied with GE and regretting the purchase. Attempted to give feedback but encountered difficulties without a case number. This will be my final GE purchase, and I cannot recommend them to others.

My 7-year-old GE washer, Model # GFWS3500L0WW, Serial # TT208333T, is making a loud noise like a jet engine during the spin cycle. I thought I had a service contract with GE repairman "Rocky," but GE informed me it was canceled due to non-payment. I am upset that I was not notified about this cancellation. I had a local repair person assess the washer and they said it is not repairable due to a bad drum. I have scheduled a GE service technician for tomorrow at an additional cost. I was told the drum warranty is usually 10 years, but this was not communicated by the representatives I've spoken to. I have always trusted GE and hope they will honor replacing the drum. I am Frank Conto, and I had scheduled service No. [redacted]94 for my GE washing machine on 10/17 from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm. The technician called after 7:00 pm, saying he couldn't make it after that time. This caused me to lose a work day, and the repeated calls to get information about the service were frustrating. The level of professionalism was disappointing, and I am not satisfied with the service. Instead of scheduling another service, I am considering purchasing a different manufacturer's machine.
