I purchased a GE dryer in June [redacted], and it is currently not spinning properly and making unusual sounds when I turn it on. Despite the power being on, the dryer is not functioning. I received an email on Wednesday, Nov. 28, stating that a service appointment is scheduled for Dec. 6. I find waiting nine days for a technician to arrive unacceptable, especially since I am unable to reach a representative by phone. The claim number provided in the email and the phone number listed are both deemed invalid on the website. I am frustrated with this poor customer service experience, considering the substantial amount I paid for the dryer. I have been attempting to contact to check for any earlier availability due to cancellations.

I have a brand-new GE refrigerator that is six months old. For the last two months, the water and ice maker have not been working. Despite repair visits three times and part replacements, the issue persists. This refrigerator was a significant investment, alongside a dishwasher, oven, stovetop, and microwave - all top of the line products. I am disappointed that after spending so much money, the problem remains unresolved. I expect the refrigerator to be either fixed promptly or replaced. I purchased these appliances from Armstrong Appliance in Greenville, Texas, and I am seeking urgent action to resolve this matter. - Marva Dooley

Subject: Quality Concerns with GE Cafe Refrigerator
Dear Customer Service Manager at GE Appliances,
I am writing to express my disappointment with the continual problems I have been experiencing with my GE Cafe Refrigerator. The technician who recently visited, Norman, identified that despite the temperature setting being at 37 degrees, the actual temperature in the refrigerator was between 31 and 32 degrees, causing food in three shelves at the back to freeze. This issue has persisted despite previous visits by another technician, Dennis, who replaced parts but did not resolve the problem. Additionally, there was a prior issue with water dripping from the dispenser.
Given the frequency of service calls and the ongoing problems, I believe this refrigerator has inherent manufacturing defects. I am requesting that the defective appliance be replaced with a new one, as the continued replacement of parts on a new refrigerator is unacceptable, particularly from a reputable manufacturer like GE Appliances.
I appreciate your attention to this matter and look forward to a prompt resolution.
Sincerely,
S.A.

Subject: Quality Concerns with GE Cafe Refrigerator
Dear Customer Service Manager at GE Appliances,
I am writing to express my disappointment with the ongoing issues I have been experiencing with my GE Cafe Refrigerator, model number CZS22MSKEHSS, and serial number ZH411580, located at [redacted] Mogo Creek Ln, Sugar Land, TX, [redacted].
After the recent visit from the GE technician, Norman, it was highlighted that there are continued problems with the refrigerator causing food in the back shelves to freeze, despite the temperature setting being at 37 degrees. The actual temperature measured was between 31 and 32 degrees, which is below the set point and leading to food freezing.
Despite previous visits from GE technician Dennis, during which two parts were replaced, the issues persist. Another problem with water dripping from the dispenser was also addressed previously.
Given the multitude of problems encountered within the first five months of owning this refrigerator, including the upcoming replacement of the Damper Fresh Food Inlet Assembly, I believe this unit to have significant manufacturing defects and request a replacement appliance.
I kindly ask for the defective refrigerator to be replaced entirely and refrain from further attempts to fix it by replacing parts. This level of continual service calls on a new refrigerator is not acceptable from a respected appliance manufacturer like GE.
Thank you for addressing this matter promptly.
Sincerely,
Shagufta Ahmad

I recently bought a GE Dryer, Model: 7.4 cu-ft-electric-dryer-with-aluminized-alloy-drum-and-he-sensory-dry # GTD65EBSJ3WS, which was delivered on Monday. Using it for the first time on Wednesday, I noticed a screeching noise coming from the drum that worsened with time. A GE Repair technician inspected it on Saturday morning and mentioned that the frame was damaged, causing the drum to rub against the walls. He advised replacing the machine since it was only 5 days old. The store I bought it from informed me that GE is responsible for the replacement. I kindly request a new machine to be delivered to replace the damaged one.

I have a [redacted] GE GTUP240EM5WW washer/dryer combo. It started making a lot of noise while spinning, then stopped spinning altogether. I replaced the transmission assembly due to a suspected bearing issue, which was quite a challenge! After putting everything back together, I attempted a small wash cycle without clothes, but the machine only agitated for a few seconds before stopping with lights flashing. Pressing start repeatedly resulted in the same issue, where it agitates briefly then stops. In Field Service Mode, the error code "Blocked Motor" popped up. The machine fills and starts to agitate briefly before stopping with lights flashing. After resetting, the spin cycle initially stopped but eventually worked fine. However, during the next wash attempt, the agitating problem persisted. I'm wondering if it's the motor or the speed sensor causing this issue, leaning towards the motor since the spin cycle works well. It might be the reverse windings of the motor causing the intermittent pausing. What are your thoughts on this?

I bought our GE Appliances, including a dishwasher, refrigerator, stove, and microwave, around March [redacted], possibly [redacted]. The dishwasher has been leaking water, damaging our new hardwood floors twice. We suspect it's the water pump causing the issue. Can you confirm if the warranty is still valid? The items were purchased from Home Depot through Nancy Boucher at [redacted] Staffenson St. Amery, WI [redacted]. Please assist us!

I bought a GE dishwasher from Lowe's in West Des Moines, IA on March 3, [redacted], and it was installed on March 26th. Unfortunately, the installer found it to be defective due to a water leak and said it would be replaced. However, as of today, the dishwasher has not been replaced. Despite making six calls, I have not received any returned calls or helpful responses. I appreciate GE's products and have had GE appliances in the past. I understand this is a Lowe's customer service issue, but since I purchased a GE appliance, I would appreciate any assistance in urging Lowe's to fulfill their part of the transaction. The model of the dishwasher is GDT655SSJ5SS, and I am not interested in purchasing an extended warranty for a defective appliance.

I purchased a microwave 2 1/2 years ago, and it requires its second repair for the same issue. I am hoping to have it repaired at no cost or preferably exchange it for a different model due to the repeated problem. The microwave had its first repair in the first year for a door issue, in March of this year it stopped working, and we had to pay for a thermal sensor repair. Despite this, it stopped working again recently. When contacting GE customer service, the initial representative, Jaylen, only offered a 25% discount on the service call or to sell us a new microwave for $[redacted], which is less than what we initially paid. After further discussion with another representative, the service call was provided at no charge. As senior citizens, we are concerned about potential future problems with the microwave and do not wish to deal with these issues. Thank you for your assistance.

My GE service call number is [redacted]20. I had a service visit on 5/3/[redacted] by an authorized GE technician from A&J Appliance for my non-working oven. They ordered a door latch for my GE Café Series oven/stove model number C2S995SEL255, serial number TL173064P. Despite a month passing since the service call, A&J Appliance has not yet received the part from GE as of 6/3/[redacted]. I am unable to use my new stove due to this delay, and the repair team cannot provide an estimated arrival date for the part. I am seeking clarification on the status of the part and repair process from GE to understand the reason for the extended delay. Thank you for your help in addressing this matter.

I recently purchased an AC unit from Home Depot designed to cool a room of a thousand square feet. It's failing to cool even a single room as expected. I wish to enjoy the $[redacted] I spent on this unit by resolving the issue. It worked fine on the first night, but now it feels like a waste. I hope to get better performance from the AC and make good use of the money I invested in it.

Yesterday, I set up my window air conditioner model AEE12DT. Once I plugged it in, it had power but failed to turn on. Here are the observations I made:
- The digital display is showing the letters "F" and "]".
- The fan and mode LEDs respond to button presses.
- The "Set" LED lights up when I press the +/- or Delay buttons.
- Despite pressing various buttons, the fan remains inactive, and the digital display continues to show "F ]".
- I encountered the same outcomes whether using the remote control or the unit's keypad.

I just got back from an 8-day vacation last evening. I loaded colored clothes into the washer using liquid Tide HE. After the washing cycle, I found tiny white specks on all the clothes. Initially, I thought it was soap, but after 3 washes and dries, it seems more like small bits of plastic. The dryer's interior is also covered with these specks, and I assume the washer is as well. Even after a 4th wash with vinegar, there has been no improvement. What could be causing this issue?

Subject: Quality Issues with GE Profile Appliances
Good afternoon,
I am reaching out regarding a concern with multiple appliances from the GE Profile series. Our recent purchases of a wall oven/microwave combo, a 5-burner gas cooktop, and a range hood have all arrived with various damages, including scratches and dents. Despite returning and repurchasing these items, we have encountered persistent issues. After waiting over two weeks for the range hood to be delivered, it arrived with a significant dent, which is incredibly disappointing. This level of quality is unacceptable, and we are unsure how to proceed. We would appreciate your assistance in resolving these ongoing problems.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I bought a GE microwave on 11/5/18 from Lowes and it stopped working just over a year later. I am disappointed as GE has been reliable in the past. My husband and I are retired seniors who take care of our things. Despite the unit appearing to function, it does not heat up. I plan to purchase a different brand next time and will share my experience on the website to warn others. - Allyson

I purchased a microwave on 11-5-18, and unfortunately, it stopped working yesterday. While the turntable turns, the lights come on, the timer functions, and it sounds like it's working, it doesn't heat up. This brand was chosen due to its good reputation, so I am quite disappointed in this particular unit. As retired seniors, my husband and I always conduct thorough research before making a purchase. I intend to visit the website to share our experience and concerns with this product for the benefit of others. - A. Butzin, [redacted]

I'm having trouble starting my dishwasher. I bought a GE dishwasher at Lowe's back in July [redacted] with an extended warranty which expired last July. A technician visited and mentioned I need a new door because he can't access the electrical panel for repair. The cost for a new door is estimated at around $[redacted]. The dishwasher is only 3.5 years old and has been used weekly. Do you think GE might help with this issue and support their product?

I bought a GE dishwasher in [redacted] from Famous Tate. Around a year later, I experienced starting issues with the machine. A local repairman replaced the locking mechanism, instructing me to contact a certified GE repairman if the problem recurred. A year later, the issue resurfaced, and I called GE for a $99.95 service visit. The technician explained that the plastic insides of the dishwasher can cause alignment problems with the lock due to contraction and expansion. He demonstrated how to realign the lock.
I think this is a manufacturing flaw and request a refund on the service fee since I didn't opt for an extended warranty.
My details are as follows:

My name is A.E. from Rhode Island. My spouse and I bought a GE Washer/Dryer two years back and have faced ongoing issues, accruing extra costs post the original $[redacted].27 purchase. We've had two service visits in the past two years, and recently, the machine malfunctioned, resulting in a flood in our downstairs. An authorized GE appliance Repair company inspected the machine and identified an oil leak from the gearcase, defective suspension rods, and a faulty spin actuator. It appears the machine was faulty from the beginning, essentially a "lemon." I seek a refund from GE for selling a defectively made product, as recommended by the RI Attorney General's office. I possess the purchase receipt, repair documentation, and was advised by the repairman that replacing the machine with new parts could cost at least $[redacted] due to the initial defects. He suggests getting a new machine would be more beneficial.

I purchased a GE smooth top range on 03/29/19. I selected model JB45RK4SS, Serial# FM088071Q. I am very disappointed with the top. It easily scratches even with gentle touch. This is my 3rd smooth top range, and the others didn't scratch like this one. I use proper cookware and Cerabrite for cleaning. It is frustrating as there are new scratches each time I cook on it. I strive to keep my appliances spotless, and this less than a year old range is causing me a lot of frustration. I would consider getting rid of it if possible. I wonder if there has been a recall due to this issue. If there was a defective top installed, I would like to know how to address it. This appliance has left me extremely dissatisfied.
Best, Jennifer C.
