I have encountered an issue with my account after receiving a text about a sign-in attempt from the Dominican Republic that wasn't me. It logged me out, and when trying to log back in without 2-step verification, it attempts to send a code to an old inactive number. Despite my attempts, including providing identification and a handwritten code, I cannot regain access. My current number is [redacted] and email is [redacted] I am experiencing frustration over the lack of response to a crucial question about changing phone numbers for texts. Ultimately, my main goal is to recover access to my account.

Hello,
I have not logged into my Facebook account for about six months. A month ago, I received a notification about a friend request. Upon clicking it, I was prompted to confirm my name, which I did. However, my password didn't work, so I used my working email to reset it. After successfully logging in, I noticed something strange - I was asked to connect with myself on my original account. I sent connection invitations to two trusted friends who both mentioned that my account appeared hacked as it was empty except for photos of people I know. It seems there are two accounts under my name and one has been hacked. Could you please permanently close the account associated with the fake email address? Thank you for your assistance.

Since Saturday night, I've been experiencing issues with Facebook in Venezuela. Despite checking the "Facebook outage map," it shows our area in orange. When I log in, I notice that the posts do not update, and I keep seeing the same ones repeatedly. The content doesn't load properly; for instance, I only saw pictures this weekend, and now I'm seeing only videos. After scrolling, there are no more posts to view, and even after refreshing, I encounter problems with the chat feature. I've tried using different browsers like Chrome, Firefox, and Edge, but the problem persists. Yesterday, the page even displayed only text on the left side for me. This problem is not unique to me; all my friends in Venezuela are experiencing the same issues. We are all hoping for a quick resolution. Thank you in advance for your attention.

For the past four months, I've been unable to access my Facebook account. Previously, I would enter my password and receive a six-digit verification code on my cell phone for the second step login. Recently, the system prompts me for this code, but I'm not receiving it via SMS as usual. The system message states, "Authentication required. You will get an SMS shortly with a login code to use for logging in."
I've already provided a picture of my driver's license to prove my identity as Japhet Lopez and have sent numerous messages regarding this issue with no resolution. I hope to receive the necessary assistance this time. Thank you, Japhet Lopez

I have experienced defamation of character and identity compromise on Facebook by someone named Mitchell Huse. He is posting untrue things about me following a crime I was a victim of. Now, it seems there might be another crime scene, and he is spreading lies about me online instead of informing the authorities about what he found. In February, I was robbed, and among the stolen items were two leather jackets, two big bags containing paperwork with bills, and personal photos. Mitchell Huse has jeopardized my identity by posting all this online. I would like to know if there is a way to have him remove these posts under the names Joy Rayas and Michel Huse.

Hello, I woke up this morning and attempted to log into my Facebook account, but I was prompted to change my password and verify my account. I followed the steps suggested, including identifying photos, friends, messages, and recent comments. However, the process abruptly stopped after reviewing items for sale in my Facebook groups. Now, I am unable to confirm my account due to exceeded attempts. The system advises me to verify from a different phone or computer, but the issue persists no matter which device I use. This problem is affecting my ability to conduct business and connect with contacts. I need assistance to resolve this issue promptly as Facebook is a crucial platform for me. Thank you.

I'm struggling to access my Facebook account due to my now ex-boyfriend changing all the login information after gaining access to my phone and passwords. He has locked me out of both my email and Facebook accounts by changing the recovery contacts to his phone number and email. I have contacted the authorities, but he keeps altering the account details. My email, [redacted], and password, babycakes89, have been changed multiple times. I'm considering involving the police to handle this situation and can provide identification to confirm my identity and proof of his actions.

I suspect my account was hacked as I received a notification about suspicious activity and got logged out. When trying to log back in, it wanted to send a verification code to an old phone number I no longer use. I chose email verification instead but it's still asking for the code from the old phone. I've tried contacting Facebook support and followed various steps, but nothing has worked. I've had my account for 10 years with many followers and important memories that I don't want to lose. Please assist me in resolving this issue as someone is using fake accounts pretending to be me.

I recently installed the Messenger app on my phone.
While entering my details, I initially used my Yahoo email address.
I received a prompt to switch to hargreavesian@gm, which I accepted.
I noticed a problem where messages and photos exchanged over regular SMS with a contact who doesn't use Messenger were appearing on both Messenger and SMS apps on my phone.
However, my messages only showed up on SMS, leading to confusion.
3 days ago, I received a blackmail email threatening to expose my photos to contacts unless I paid bitcoins.
I have contacted the authorities and Google alerted me about an email change to the mentioned address, which left me puzzled.
Lacking expertise in technology, I am seeking advice on whether I was scammed starting with my Messenger app registration.
I have taken precautions such as deleting the Messenger app, Gmail address, and changing my Yahoo email password. I would appreciate any insights on this situation.

My Facebook account, under the name Christina Ngo, was hacked, and the hacker obtained my cell phone number. They repeatedly texted and bothered my family. Despite reporting this to the police, they couldn't act as it was deemed not criminal. Even after changing my FB password, the hacker kept monitoring me. When I deactivated my account, they created 15 fake accounts under my name. My husband noticed them while checking his FB. This has been going on for four years, with the hackers stealing my identity and credit card information. I no longer feel safe using FB to connect with loved ones. I hope for your assistance in apprehending these individuals.

After discovering that someone is using my photos and posting under a different name across social media platforms, I requested my friends report the Facebook profile of "Tiago Brito." Now, my own profile has been deactivated. I have been an active user on Facebook for over a decade and there is no reason to suspect that I am the imposter. I have provided evidence to Facebook that the Tiago Brito profile is using my images, but Facebook claims the ID copy I submitted is not clear. Despite using a government-issued ID card with visible information, Facebook refuses to acknowledge the impersonation. It is frustrating to be penalized for trying to address someone else's misuse of my images. I hope that Facebook can rectify this situation promptly, considering my long-standing account activity.

I suspect my account has been compromised. My email was linked to an outdated address, and I had not linked my phone due to spam calls. I added three friends but was unsure of the process. Apparently, you need a way to contact these friends outside of Facebook, which I lack. I mainly use Facebook Messenger for communication. My account belongs to "Bert Roseberry," and the profile picture features me in a teal shirt enjoying a beef barbecue. I was born on May 11, [redacted], and I am a retiree from the East Coast.
For verification, I can provide a picture of my driver's license, identify specific photos, or answer any identity-related queries. I would like to resolve this issue by updating my email address and adding my current phone number ([redacted]) to the account.

Dear Facebook Customer Support,
I am reaching out to request your assistance with my account matter. I have an old profile under my full name, Mark Ronald Morante, featuring a profile picture with my ex-girlfriend. Unfortunately, I have forgotten the password for this account and have not been able to access it for some time. To address the issue, I created a new account solely under my name, Mark Ronald. However, as I am now in a new, engaged relationship with plans to marry next year, I would like to delete the old account to prevent any potential conflicts with my current partner. Many mutual friends are connected to my old account, and I am concerned they may receive notifications that could cause confusion. I wish to avoid any distress to my fiancée due to this situation. I kindly request your prompt assistance in resolving this matter. Enclosed is a screenshot of my old account for your review. Should you need to reach me, please do so via this email address.
Thank you for your help.
Best regards,
Mark Ronald}`;

Dear Facebook,
I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the disabling of my business account, Grunt_n_hunt, on Instagram. My account, promoting ethical hunting of wild boar in Australia, had gained a significant following over the past year. Following Instagram's guidelines, my content has always been in compliance. However, my account was suddenly and unfairly disabled, impacting my business negatively.
I suspect a competitor is maliciously targeting my account, causing its deactivation without proper investigation. This unjust action has resulted in defamation, financial loss, and a decline in customers. I urge you to reinstate my account promptly to avoid further consequences. If not, I will pursue legal action against Instagram and those responsible for the harassment.
For inquiries, you can reach me at my email or [redacted].
Sincerely,
Tyler Skewis

On September 5th, my account was hacked. After regaining access to my Facebook account, I secured it by changing my password and email. Shortly after, Facebook suspended my account for alleged harassment, which was actually done by the hacker. Despite my innocence, Facebook has not resolved the issue or reinstated my account. Frustrated by the lack of response, I am now considering using Twitter instead. It's disheartening how Facebook has treated me, especially considering my two years of loyalty. I have followed their instructions diligently, but they continue to ignore me. If I don't hear back by the end of the week, I plan to permanently switch to Twitter and inform my friends about Facebook's disappointing actions.

On September 5th, my account got hacked, but I managed to regain access on the 6th and updated my password and email. However, Facebook disabled my account shortly after. It's now been 5 days, and I haven't been able to use my account. I then created a new account with some details, but I lost all my previous posts. Even though I downloaded my old account data, I can't seem to find where to upload it to my new account. It's frustrating not hearing from Facebook regarding the issue or the efforts to resolve it. I miss my saved posts and feel let down after being a loyal user for 2 years, supporting businesses and fundraisers. Rebuilding my presence will now take another 2 years. If there's a way to transfer my old information to the new account, that would be helpful. Nevertheless, I hope Facebook re-enables my original account since they can verify it's me. Restoring my old posts is crucial to me.

After Facebook asked me for a photo to verify my account, I'm unable to access my account. I keep receiving the error message stating "You can't use Facebook at the moment. We're reviewing the photo that you sent us. We're always looking out for your security, so until then you won't be able to use Facebook." It's been a week now, and despite sending a photo of my ID yesterday to expedite the process, I haven't received any confirmation from them regarding its receipt.
