I have been having trouble getting a response from Expedia. I detailed the issue in a chat conversation with Karen where I was quoted $[redacted].00 for a flight change on August 17. However, when American Airlines charged me, it was $[redacted].81. Karen had asked for my phone number on chat to provide me with the cost over the phone and take my credit card information, which I provided. When I raised the discrepancy, Eden Mascarenas said Expedia would review the phone conversation between me and Karen and that I should follow up with Expedia for a resolution at the beginning of this week.

I recently bought a package deal via Expedia.com, which included a roundtrip flight on American Airlines from Miami to Phoenix. Unfortunately, the flight was delayed due to a computer issue, causing me to miss a critical medical appointment. Expedia arranged lodging at SureStay Best Western in Phoenix and a car rental with SIXT at Sky Harbor International Airport. I am writing on behalf of Ihab H. regarding itinerary #[redacted][redacted] Confirmation # H8PB6K dated 21 July [redacted] for a flight from JFK to Buffalo with DELTA airlines, purchased on 19 July [redacted].
I wish to file a formal complaint and seek compensation for the inconvenience caused. On 21st July [redacted], I boarded Egyptair flight MS985 from Cairo int airport to New York JFK, scheduled for 3:00 AM but departed at 5:04 AM (Attachment N #1). Mid-flight, due to technical issues, the plane had to return to Cairo (Attachment N #2). After a delay of 5 hours, a replacement flight landed at JFK at 2:30 PM (Attachment N #1).
Unfortunately, I missed my connecting flight to Buffalo with DELTA Airlines scheduled for 12:05 PM, resulting in me booking a new flight with JetBlue for [redacted] Canadian Dollars (Attachment N #5). Please consider reimbursing the cost of the JFK-BUF flight due to circumstances beyond my control.

I had a flight credit with Expedia for $[redacted]+ on United Airlines, but when I tried to book a trip to Jackson Hole, WY, the reservation wouldn't go through. After speaking to an agent, I learned the credit was for $[redacted]+ on American Airlines. The agent asked for the credit card number used for the original flight, but since I lost the card and got a replacement with the same account, there seemed to be some confusion. The agent eventually booked my flight with the new card number, but when I checked, there was no credit showing up. Expedia also has no record of the flight. I need help canceling itinerary [redacted][redacted]. I bought it on July 18th, [redacted] using a third-party, Afterpay, but my booking got canceled the next day because of my credit score.
I'm still waiting for a refund, but Afterpay hasn't received any updates from Expedia.
Several of us have emailed Expedia in the last couple of weeks, but we haven't received any responses. This situation is affecting my other payments, like my rent, as Afterpay won't stop the automatic payments until they hear from Expedia.

I had an Expedia itinerary under Nancy Adams with the number #[redacted][redacted]. We had to cancel our Barcelona hotel booking at the Hotel Espana Ramblas due to my husband's health issues. I contacted Expedia on July 31, [redacted], to cancel our reservation for the night of August 3, [redacted]. Even though I purchased insurance for such situations, the hotel reportedly denied the cancellation, leading to the insurance claim being rejected. The property I booked denied check-in and is withholding a refund. Upon arrival, I was informed of a $[redacted] deposit not mentioned online. Uncomfortable with this, I tried to cancel through Expedia, only to be pressured into upgrading to a higher-priced room. Recently stayed at the Wyndham by Baymont in Gaffney, SC, where the hotel now wants to keep the payment but won't allow check-in. The situation felt dishonest, especially seeing the empty parking lot and being overlooked for 15 minutes. The clerk was impolite and preoccupied with phone calls. I am worried about Expedia's handling post-ticket purchase. I acquired a Business Class Airline ticket for my wife. I recently tested positive for Covid before my trip and did not feel safe to travel. After contacting Expedia, they were able to cancel my flights after a long wait. However, I encountered difficulty canceling a non-refundable rental car reservation. Despite efforts with both Expedia and Fox rental car, I was unable to cancel the reservation. Unfortunately, I am unable to file a claim as all bookings need to be canceled prior to initiating the process.

We had reserved two rooms with both double queen and single king beds. However, upon arrival, the hotel had given away our rooms. Instead, they provided us with a room that was unclean, unsanitary, and lacking air-conditioning. The staff member mentioned the outside heat as the reason for the room being hot. One room had air-conditioning while the other did not. Due to the room's condition, we chose not to stay. When we checked out, we requested a refund, and we were assured it would be taken care of. It has now been 30 days and we have yet to receive the refund. We were forced to secure accommodations elsewhere. We spent a mere 15 minutes in the rooms and did not even sit down. We are hoping for assistance in obtaining the refund.

I initially stayed in room [redacted]. Yesterday, water started coming out of the socket in the bathroom, leading to no electricity for the rest of the night. The staff claimed they had no available rooms. The following day, they still stated no rooms were open, but then suddenly one became available, which was filled with cigarette smoke despite being smoke-free. They offered a one-day refund. I am seeking a refund for yesterday's lack of electricity and today as I am not staying there. My reservation at Extended Stay in Fridley was from the 25th to the 1st. I am requesting to be relocated to a different hotel for the next two days.

We made a reservation at a hotel in Iron River, Michigan based on the information on your website that the pool and hot tub were open. Unfortunately, the hotel just informed us that these amenities are closed and unavailable. We need a refund or a different hotel with a pool nearby for tonight because of this discrepancy.
