I recently started as a receptionist at Veranda Pointe Aux Biches hotel in Mauritius. An Expedia agent called to inform me that Gowska will now arrive on July 6th instead of July 5th and wanted to modify the reservation. After checking with my superiors, I discovered all reservation changes are handled by the head office at +[redacted]. Kindly inform your agents about this procedure to avoid any extra charges for the guest extending their stay at the hotel.

I recently booked a flight for my mother through Expedia.co.uk from Basel to London for [redacted] pounds. Upon her arrival, my mother had to pay CHF92 to check in her luggage, which was not mentioned on the website when I made the booking. I contacted Expedia on 24 March to address the issue but did not receive a call back as promised. I then tried calling and emailing with no response. I believe the lack of transparency regarding the luggage charges is unfair, and I am requesting a full refund of the CHF92. My mother is elderly, and this unexpected cost was significant for her. The customer service experience with Expedia has been disappointing, as they have not been responsive. I am considering contacting ABTA if this matter is not resolved. I have the receipt for the additional luggage charge.

Subject: Flight Booking Concern Dear Sir/Madam, I made flight reservations for my family from London Heathrow to St. Louis, USA via Miami. Unfortunately, upon arrival at Heathrow, I was unable to check-in online and was informed at the kiosk that only economy seats were available, resulting in our inability to sit together. This was distressing for my wife who has asthma. Furthermore, during our return journey, we encountered additional issues with seat allocation and flight cancellations, resulting in significant delays and inconveniences. Despite my efforts to secure appropriate seating, we were faced with challenges throughout. I had hoped for a seamless and enjoyable trip, but the experiences we faced were far from it. I utilized Expedia for this booking, expecting their assistance in ensuring a pleasant holiday. Regrettably, this was not the case. I kindly request your input on this matter before proceeding with further action. Sincerely, A. W. Dean

To whom it may concern, I booked flights for myself and my family to travel from London Heathrow to St. Louis, USA on June 28 via Miami. I requested 3 seats together and paid for premium plus seats. Upon arrival at Heathrow with plenty of time, I was unable to check in automatically and was directed to the American Airlines kiosk. Unfortunately, they only had economy seats available, and we couldn't sit together, which upset my wife, who is a nervous flyer with asthma. Despite connecting to St. Louis, we faced baggage delays in Miami due to rain. On the return trip, I had difficulty securing seats together unless I paid an additional $[redacted]. In St. Louis, we discovered our Dallas flight was cancelled, leading to a spontaneous trip via Chicago. The entire journey was marred by delays, including cabin crew issues. I initially booked through Expedia for a seamless holiday experience which unfortunately did not live up to our expectations. I am reaching out for feedback before considering further action. - AW-D

Hello, I used to work for Diesenhaus Unitours in Israel as the local representative for Expedia services. Even though I left my position over 6 months ago, I am still receiving calls from your clients. I have informed Diesenhaus about this issue, but it remains unresolved. Receiving these calls has become a nuisance and is affecting the service quality your clients receive. Please address this problem promptly. My contact number is +[redacted] 52 [redacted] [redacted]. I am looking forward to your response on this urgent matter. I believe Afiq from Expedia may be able to help in resolving this issue. Thank you, Adva Kesler

I am concerned about my 17-year-old son who traveled to Gibraltar for a Ju jitsu competition. He booked accommodation through Expedia, fully paid in June, including a hostel stay and a cabin on a yacht. Additional charges were taken without details, including a second payment of [redacted] GBP to Homeaway. On Friday, he mentioned doubts about the legitimacy of the yacht. Upon querying, he was offered alternative accommodation on a yacht by a British couple he met. I am anxious about his safety, especially as it is his first time flying alone and he needs to focus on the competition. I'm seeking reassurance and more information about this situation.

Itinerary #[redacted][redacted] Confirmation: [redacted] Lead: Mr. A. D. Moss Belle Arti Hotel, Rio Terra Foscarini, Venice, [redacted], Italy During my recent stay at the hotel, I was charged a 'Local Tourist Tax'. However, my Expedia booking clearly stated that this charge was included in my final invoice. Upon questioning the staff at checkout, I was informed that I still had to pay the tax and was not provided with a receipt. The charge amounted to 28 Euros (4 x 7 Euros per night) but was reduced to 18 Euros after returning the deposit for the room safe key. My Expedia confirmation explicitly mentions that all charges were included in the booking total, including this tax imposed by the City. I kindly request a prompt refund to the debit card ending in [redacted] that I used for the booking. I also request acknowledgment of this email. Best regards, Mr. Anthony Moss

Itinerary number: [redacted][redacted] - On the outbound journey on the 2nd of October from London to Istanbul, I encountered an issue at the check-in desk at Heathrow where I was informed that my ticket did not include check-in baggage. Despite my surprise, the British Airways staff assisted me by checking us in separately to reduce the charges, which was greatly appreciated. However, on the return journey from Istanbul, I was shocked to be charged [redacted] dollars for check-in baggage, and when I asked to be checked in separately to lessen the fee, I was informed that the protocol in Istanbul differs from that in London, resulting in a charge of [redacted] dollars each. The staff member's unhelpful attitude and inflexibility were disappointing and made me feel undervalued as a customer. Additionally, the lack of assistance regarding the VIP lounges and the treatment my wife and I received as pensioners left a negative impression, especially during a trip celebrating my wife's 69th birthday.

I booked a 2-day stay at the President Hotel in Blackpool with itinerary number [redacted][redacted]. On October 18th, I called to inquire about cancelling my reservation due to poor reviews of the hotel. I also wanted to rebook at another location for the same dates. We were distressed to pay £[redacted] to stay in a place with negative reviews. Additionally, I requested a sea view room which was not confirmed in the booking, and there are complaints about the executive rooms being subpar. A team member mentioned a 60% cancellation fee, but the booking form states a charge on October 23rd if cancelled before midnight. Expedia, as a reputable company, should not promote such poorly reviewed hotels. The hotel claims they do not charge cancellation fees, so I am seeking clarification on this matter.

Expedia Travel Confirmation - 15 April - (Itinerary # [redacted][redacted]) I have not received any response regarding my complaint about the non-refund. Could you please investigate this promptly and update me on the situation? I have made several calls to Expedia, and each time I am told that Hotel VII is processing the refund and that I will receive it in 2-3 days, but nothing has happened. During my last calls to Expedia, I spoke with a person named Yedu, who assured me that the refund would be processed within the next 2-3 days, but it has not been done. I kindly request that you address this issue and process my refund promptly. Otherwise, I will be forced to escalate this matter to ABTA, Ombudsman, and other relevant institutions. Thank you, Arun

Hello, I need assistance with a holiday booking issue with Expedia.co.uk related to the Thomas Cook group's collapse in June [redacted]. I have been unable to reach Expedia by phone and have sent multiple emails through their system without a reply. My departure is scheduled for Sunday, 20-10-19. Although my Virgin Atlantic flights are confirmed, I still need clarification on my hotel booking at LINQ in Las Vegas. I have spoken to the LINQ directly and they confirmed our reservation, but I need to know if it's paid for and if not, will I need to pay upon arrival. Virgin Atlantic assured me our flights are secure. Any help in resolving this matter is appreciated. Thank you, Mr. D Wolsoncroft, Itinerary No [redacted]02.

Dear Customer Service, I am writing to seek assistance with cancelling our holiday reservation. Our booking was made through Thomas Cook for flights with EasyJet, referencing EX3W1Q6, under booking ID 0158D5MEF. Additionally, the hotel reservation at Wylpiansky was part of the package deal booked through Thomas Cook. Our holiday dates are scheduled from the 25th of November [redacted] to the 29th of November [redacted]. It came as a surprise to us that Thomas Cook had used Expedia for the booking. Upon learning of Thomas Cook's liquidation, we swiftly arranged a new holiday through EasyJet. Our banks have advised us to cancel the initial booking and claim a refund. The reservation was made under Wendy Evans for a group of four, with the email address [redacted] We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused and appreciate your understanding of the distressing situation. Thank you, Sharon Evans

Regarding booking itinerary re:[redacted][redacted], the trip to Iceland included airport transfer from Keflavik to Reykjavik. The booking indicated a bus would be available every 30 minutes until midnight. Unfortunately, upon arrival, we were informed there would be no bus for another 3 hours or possibly not at all. We had to pay an extra airport transfer fee of £56. I have sent two emails requesting a refund, but have yet to receive a response from you. Kindly process the refund. I am hopeful for a prompt reply this time.

Hello, I want to share my experience regarding a flight booking issue with Expedia. On 09/12/19, I booked a flight for travel from 15/12/19 to 01/01/20 from London to Lahore, Pakistan. After receiving a confirmation email, Expedia later canceled the flight and claimed they couldn't take responsibility. As a result, the current flight prices have significantly increased. I'm unsure of what steps to take next or where to file a complaint. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Itinerary number: [redacted][redacted]. My wife and daughter are currently in Krakow. Their return flight was unexpectedly changed by Ryanair, resulting in an additional night in a hotel. Despite my prior arrangements with Expedia, their belongings were moved out of the room this afternoon. They were informed that no arrangements had been made for an extended stay. I contacted Expedia again today to resolve the situation, but their disrupted stay continues. They have now been given a room with a double bed instead of the two singles requested, adding to their disappointment. This unexpected turn of events has truly marred their trip, leaving them quite distressed.

Hello, regarding our itinerary. Reservation reference: [redacted][redacted] Passengers: Mrs. Doreen Chattington and Mr. Martin Chattington Travel dates: 08/01/20 - 30/01/20 Travel route: From Paris CDG airport to Bangkok BKK We have made a booking for our flights, hotel, and airport transfer to Charlie House Pinkloa. Everything was paid in full. We have received email confirmations for all bookings and vouchers for the airport transfers. However, we recently received an email from Tour East Thailand stating they cannot confirm our hotel booking due to it being outside their coverage area. They are requesting an additional payment that is more than double our original quote of £32.00. We are extremely displeased with this unexpected demand, as we already paid what was initially quoted. Could you please investigate this matter urgently as we are departing for the airport tomorrow? Thank you. Best regards.

I recently made a booking through Expedia for a hotel and flight bundle to Hersonissos with a stay at Marant Hotel. However, upon reviewing my itinerary #[redacted][redacted], I realized that I only have flights to Athens instead of Crete where my hotel is located. I attempted to contact customer service to address this issue but unfortunately, after numerous transfers, explanations, and a long hold time which ended abruptly, I was unable to resolve the problem. I hope we can find a solution without having to cancel my trip. Thank you, Adam B.

I need to cancel a flight I booked through Expedia. The phone number provided on their website for cancellations (1-[redacted]) requires me to dial [redacted] before the full number, but none of the variations I've tried seem to work. I sent them an email, but haven't received a response. When I called their customer service number, I was on hold for more than 20 minutes each time. It's frustrating that I can't reach them to process this cancellation.
