It seems like many individuals struggle early on with learning Japanese due to certain challenges. In contrast, learning Spanish has felt smoother because of its easier word formation. It would be beneficial to receive guidance on combining Japanese letters and sounds, especially by starting with simple words like "Nice" and breaking down how to pronounce them. This approach could help link these words with others like "to," "meet," or "you." While deciphering syllables isn't problematic, being introduced to complex phrases all at once, such as "Good Evening" or "Goodbye," can be overwhelming. This disjointed method makes it difficult to understand how to progress effectively in mastering the language.

I wanted to inform Duolingo that I spend an average of 20 minutes a day on reviews and around 10 minutes learning new things. I find reviewing valuable, but the process of restoring broken circles individually can be daunting, especially at higher tiers. I suggest adding an option in the Android app to bulk restore all circles at once, perhaps through the practice button. Additionally, it might be beneficial to make tier one optional after completion and allow users to progress beyond tier two without revisiting lower levels continuously. I noticed that even after achieving a golden level five, the circles don't stay that way anymore. I was under the impression that once achieved, they would remain golden. When did this change occur?

My account has been inactive for more than a week now. After contacting DuoLingo through BugID: Reference number: [redacted] due to a "Too many requests" error, I received no response. Later, I received an email stating that I was blocked for manipulating XP, which is untrue. Despite reaching out to [redacted] multiple times, I have not received any replies. This issue has caused me to lose over a week of progress and I am unable to continue my learning without a resolution. It is frustrating to see top players potentially cheating by getting thousands of points per hour, while I am blocked for a practice that helps me learn better by reading multiple stories simultaneously.

Hello, I have a Duolingo account and the app, but I'm unable to access it as it keeps showing the message ‘We cannot sign you in right now, try again later‘ repeatedly. Hello, I've been a long-time fan of your program and "Stories" is my favorite. Yesterday, I listened to a story in Spanish titled "I Want to Be Like You" and I found it to be inappropriate, especially since school-aged children also use your program. The underlying theme was not clear, potentially leading children to ask their parents about its meaning. I suggest considering the removal of this specific story from the collection. I recently upgraded to Duolingo + to study Spanish with English as my instruction language. However, I realized that studying in Polish would be more beneficial since it's my first language and has better compatibility with Spanish. I want to switch my instruction language to Polish. I know I need to log in to my account to make this change, but I don't have my login details handy, even though I have an account due to my Duolingo plus subscription. When attempting to reset my password through my email, clicking on the link only redirects me back to the login page without providing a new password.

Hello Duolingo support, I have been unable to access Duolingo for the past three days. My phone recently crashed and I had to reset it to factory settings. Upon re-downloading Duolingo, I am unable to retrieve my account that I have been using for the past few months. I cannot remember if I set it up through Facebook, Google, or another method, and none of my usual passwords are working. Could you please assist me in regaining access to my account so that I can continue my progress without having to start over? The language I was learning was Spanish, and my Username is "roberno". My profile picture featured a native/South American figure. I had over 14,[redacted] points, approximately 3,[redacted] gems, and my Duo was wearing a Tuxedo. Hello, I'm not sure if I'm in the right place, but Mr. MOHAMED is using my Duolingo account. He added his email address: [redacted] His username is Mohamed and there was something else, Alph-boy17. For the past few days, whenever I opened Duolingo, it was in Spanish by default. Tonight, when I investigated further, I realized I was not on my profile. It's quite unbelievable. I have deleted his account, but now I can't access my profile with my email address, [redacted] It says that the address is not valid, probably because Mr. Mohamed entered his email. Unfortunately, my primary email is linked to Facebook, making it impossible for me to sign up again without the Facebook login prompt. I am having trouble locating the correct email address to share my feedback. I tried finding it by tapping "feedback" on my phone and searching on Google. I wanted to share how much I love Duolingo! While I haven't fully committed to any lessons, I am impressed with the platform. I have dabbled in languages like English, Spanish, Japanese, and French. Duolingo has been far more effective for me compared to programs like Rosetta Stone. As a child, I remember reading foreign language sections in the newspaper, which sparked my interest in languages. Currently, I am using Duolingo for Russian, a language I previously struggled with. Thanks to Duolingo, I have made significant progress and learned complex concepts effortlessly. I began using Duolingo a couple of months ago and opted for the premium feature to access downloads. I have been enjoying learning Spanish on the platform, but I recently discovered that due to an upcoming surgery, I will have difficulty speaking and hearing. In light of this, learning American Sign Language (ASL) has been recommended to me. Since Duolingo doesn't offer ASL courses, I need to find an alternative way to learn it before my surgery, meaning I won't be able to continue with Spanish on the app simultaneously. I am inquiring about the possibility of a partial refund or a credit for my unused premium subscription, considering the unforeseen need to switch to ASL. This situation is unexpected, and had I known about the requirement to learn ASL, I wouldn't have purchased the premium version. I appreciate your assistance in this matter. -Nicole

When attempting to log into my Duolingo account using my saved username, [redacted], and password on Google Chrome, I receive an error message stating that the account does not exist. However, when I try to create a new account with the same username, I am informed that an account already exists with that name. This issue prevents me from accessing my current Duolingo account. I kindly request Duolingo to address and fix the system error causing this inconvenience to locate my account.

I have been trying multiple times last night to take the Duolingo English test. Every time after providing my details, the browser becomes unresponsive when I click the start button. I attempted the test at five different locations, all with good internet connections, and each time the browser froze. Despite following the support team's advice to check my internet connection and open the page in incognito mode, I have had no success. During one of my attempts, I encountered a bug and was unable to complete the test session, receiving a message that I had attempted too many tests and would need to pay again. I believe this is an error and seek assistance from Duolingo support to retake the exam. My Duolingo email is [redacted] I kindly request support to retake the exam.

When I use Duolingo to translate words between German and English, I carefully type in the words and check the spelling, but it still marks it as wrong. Even when I compare it to the corrections shown, they are the same. This causes me to lose all my hearts and wait four hours to continue practicing. Today, I encountered trouble with German words like "groß" (tall) and "Tochter" (daughter) from morning until now. I had around four to five hearts initially, and by 8:00 pm, I had only spent about ten minutes due to this issue. I would appreciate it if someone could contact me regarding this matter. I did not receive an email notifying me of a charge, and now I am unable to pay my hospital bill because of the unexpected deduction from my account. Even though I canceled my subscription, the refund still hasn't been processed, leaving me in a difficult financial situation. I believe it's unfair to charge customers without prior notice. Due to this charge, I am struggling financially to the point where I can't even afford gas to commute to work. My account had insufficient funds, and the $99.99 deduction meant for my hospital bill was taken, which I desperately need back but haven't been successful in getting a refund.

Hello, I am Craig Kaufman. I use the email [redacted] for my Duolingo app where I study Spanish. I have been using the app daily for approximately [redacted] days. Recently, my study streak was reset to 0 after missing a couple of days, and now I believe I have around 90 days of study in my current streak. This morning, I encountered some beeping sounds and was prompted to enter a password for Duolingo, which I couldn't find. I tried to reset my password but kept getting a blank page. I also noticed that my wife's email, not mine, is linked to the Duolingo app. I would appreciate your assistance in resetting my account with my previous study credits intact as I don't want to lose my progress. I recently noticed a charge of €41 on my account. I enrolled in a 6-month course that was charged to me in April. I did not express any interest in continuing with Duolingo Plus and would appreciate a refund for this charge. Hello Duolingo, As a Spanish teacher, I recently signed up my class for Duolingo. My husband has been using it for years and finds it very motivating and useful. However, I have encountered an issue that has raised some concerns. While I appreciate your efforts to be inclusive by including homosexual relationships in your content, it clashes with the conservative values of our school. I was wondering if there is a way to exclude these types of stories from the program, despite their engaging nature. Are there any alternatives or a more traditional values platform available? I am currently going through a divorce, and my husband installed Duolingo on my computer, leading me to believe it was a free language learning platform.
