Hello, for the past two weeks, I've been using Duolingo again and subscribed to a premium membership to get rid of ads. I wanted to take advantage of the two-week free trial and then cancel the subscription because I can't afford a monthly payment. I expected a reminder before the trial ended, but I noticed a charge of 94.99€ on my account. As a student, I really can't afford this and it's embarrassing because it used up all the money I had. I understand I need to pay for a subscription since the trial period ended, but I would like to request a refund for the charge equivalent to an annual subscription and switch to a monthly subscription only. Hello, I'm encountering an issue and I'm unsure how to resolve it. About 10 days ago, I purchased a one-year subscription to Super Duolingo for myself. Recently, I tried to upgrade to a family plan so my kids could also use it. However, the upgrade didn't go through, so I canceled my Super subscription with the intention of switching to a family plan. Despite canceling, it seems I haven't received a refund. My goal was simply to upgrade, not cancel altogether. English isn't my strongest language, being from Germany, so I may have misunderstood the process and made an error. Could someone assist me in either receiving a refund for the upgrade or reactivating my Super Duolingo subscription for just myself, please? Thank you kindly, Silvia

There is one thing that bothers me about Duolingo, which I can't stand anymore, and it's making me decide not to practice with Duolingo anymore: the fact that other people seem to accumulate points unbelievably. Let me explain (but you probably know it better than me); while I earn 15 points for a section of a lesson, someone else earns 30, 70, and even [redacted]. I find this extremely demotivating! So, I believe I am quitting Duolingo, it's not for me, it's not clear!!!

Greetings, I'm contacting you from Italy. I have been learning Turkish and progressed to the Golden League on Duolingo. However, around 10 days ago, I encountered an issue logging into my account as my password seemed incorrect. I clicked on "Forgotten?" and received a message saying: "Forgot password. We will send you an email with instructions for resetting your password." I have submitted my email address multiple times but have yet to receive a response. Good morning, I reached out regarding my issue a couple of days back. I bought a test but had to send my passport for visa procedures, and I am unsure when it will be returned. In my country, I have an ID provided by my consultant at my current residence, but I couldn’t use it for the test as it's handwritten. Sadly, my test has expired today due to my circumstances. Could I please request a refund since I couldn't take the test because of this situation? Thank you for your understanding.

Hello Duolingo, I had understood that my account with the ID Ana [redacted] was free as long as I didn't subscribe. Despite being careful while using the website and selecting what I believed were non-charge options, I apparently subscribed in November [redacted]. Recently, when using Duolingo on my cell phone, it seems I'm not in my actual account but in one under the names John51 and Amanda [redacted]. I discovered an unauthorized charge on my husband's TD Travel Visa card made by Apple on February 22, [redacted], amounting to $[redacted].99 (Duolingo subscription being $[redacted]). This charge coincided with a $1.35 charge for additional storage, which my husband claims he did not authorize. It's perplexing to see different users and points on every device I use to access Duolingo. After reading online reviews and the Better Business Bureau claims, I learned that Duolingo denies this charge, directing us to seek a refund from Apple. This situation raises questions about who will refund the unauthorized charges and how to rectify the multiple user issue on my account.

My complimentary 2-week trial was set to end on June 19th. On June 16th, I responded to an email reminding me of the upcoming deadline, clearly stating I did not want to proceed with the Super Duolingo subscription. To my surprise, on the 19th, I received a £59.99 receipt from Duolingo indicating the amount was already deducted from my bank account. Fortunately, there were sufficient funds in the account to cover the charge. I am interested in continuing to use Duolingo in the future, but until this issue is resolved, I am unable to utilize a service I did not intend to purchase. I kindly request a refund. Last week, when attempting to access Duolingo, I encountered a login issue where I was redirected to an old account linked to my daughter's lessons that are at a beginner level. Despite using Duolingo regularly for over 3.5 years, I should be on the login associated with my wife's family subscription. Whenever I try to log in, I am consistently brought back to my daughter's account, and I am unsure why this switch occurred. While I can log in correctly on my phone, I prefer using my MacBook Air due to the larger screen size. Unfortunately, I have been unsuccessful in finding an alternative login method as I continuously end up on my daughter's account, even after attempting to remove that subscription.

I have a Duolingo Plus subscription set to renew on July 7, [redacted]. I want to use an American Express credit card offer expiring on June 24, [redacted], that gives a $35 statement credit on a Duolingo purchase of $75 or more. How do I activate this offer and prevent Duolingo from renewing automatically on July 7th? Last year, I was able to speak with a Duolingo representative who canceled my auto-renewal using a similar Amex offer, but I can't find a contact number now. If I subscribe again on June 24th, will I lose the remaining 14 days of my current annual subscription? Thank you for your assistance!

A more structured approach starting with manageable speeds and progressively advancing could enhance the learning experience for beginners.

I am about to reach my [redacted]-day streak on Duolingo. While doing my French lessons today, I encountered an ad for Duolingo Super. After exiting the ad, I started a new lesson but unexpectedly ran out of hearts, something that has never happened during my almost [redacted] days streak. Normally, I have unlimited hearts and can make mistakes without any issues. I have screenshots to validate my claim. Please revert any recent changes made to my account and reinstate the unlimited hearts feature as before.

My wife and I signed up for Super Duo Lingo, with her as the family manager. Unfortunately, her account got deleted, and when she tried to restart it, it created a new account on regular Duo Lingo. Viewing our family plan, her account now shows as [redacted].dRi1K9a1sg6u. Her original account was connected to [redacted] My username is Rich Hastings, and her new free account is under the name Debby Dutchie. We are having trouble getting her paid Super Lingo account to work while her new account remains free. Despite being listed as the family manager, the [redacted].dRi1K9a1sg6u account is not functional. I accidentally subscribed last month and requested a refund for the subscription charge. Apple refunded me, but now Duolingo charged me the same amount again despite canceling. Plus, they took an extra $7 from my debit account. Being 16, I can't cover this unauthorized charge, leaving me owing the bank. I feel Duolingo is scamming me. I want a refund for the canceled subscription, as I didn't use it, and a refund for the $7 overcharge.

My account was compromised by someone who spoke an Asian language. Although I am a paid subscriber, I cannot access my account now. Good evening, first of all, I took advantage of the promotion with a discount until 31 December [redacted] and paid the full price of €89.90. I made the payment with my credit card before the deadline. Secondly, I have completed all 47 chapters, making them legendary. However, I have noticed that there are individuals like J. who manage to earn 10,[redacted] xp in a day by rapidly increasing their xp by 40 or 80, while I only earn 20 to 40. It seems unfair that not all students start on equal footing in the rankings. After working hard for a whole week, it is disheartening to see others surpass me using what seems like tricks. Therefore, I have decided not to renew my subscription by 31 December [redacted]. I am a 65-year-old gentleman who is passionate about studying English, but not in this way. Thank you.

My Night Owl chest is set to the wrong time zone. It is currently 1:35 am here in Montana, Mountain Time in the US, and the Night Owl chest isn't scheduled to open for another 5 hours! Strangely, it is set to the same opening time as my Early Bird chest. I have tried to fix this myself, but I believe only an IT person can correct it. Thank you. I would like to select the language I am studying. Lately, I keep getting placed in Spanish tournaments despite studying German. This has caused my Diamond league status, which I held for over 20 weeks, to drop to the Obsidian level. 1. I kindly request my Diamond league status to be reinstated. 2. Although Duolingo has been wonderful for honing my reading and listening skills, I am in search of another app that provides free audiobooks with Arabic subtitles and translations, given that Arabic is my native language.
