I recently used Dropbox to transfer photos for a memorial service after a family member passed away. Initially on the Basic plan, I upgraded to Professional to access the necessary 3.04GB of photos for free for 30 days but couldn't access it. Now, I'm unable to download any free apps due to an outstanding balance of nearly $53 that I wasn't aware of and can't get help. It's frustrating as I only needed the subscription for a short period to honor my Grandfather's memory. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

A few days before my free trial ended, I visited the Dropbox site to cancel it. Struggled to find the cancellation option, so I ended up deleting my account and reaching out via email to confirm the cancellation. I got an automated response acknowledging my email, but unfortunately, I didn't receive a direct reply. To my surprise, I was charged for a full subscription shortly after. Without a response to my email and no available phone number, I'm unsure of how to proceed to request a refund. Thank you for your help in advance.

I initially had a student account that was free through school. Recently, I upgraded to a paid account for more storage and sharing capabilities. Since then, I haven't been able to access my account at all and there seems to be no live help available. Being a returning student, navigating online platforms is challenging for me. I have been charged for a service I can't use and have invested a lot of time in it. I don't want to lose what I have stored there. I need a refund and access to my account to use the service properly. If that's not possible, I'd like my account closed immediately. I will need to dispute the charges with my credit card company if necessary.

I have five computers that I use personally, with no team members accessing my files. Recently, I purchased a new computer with Windows 11, and I'm experiencing issues syncing Dropbox with my other four computers, which run on Windows 10. If I have to transfer files manually between devices, I may not find this service necessary anymore.
I have decided to cancel my subscription, but when attempting to follow the instructions provided, I can't locate the "Admin console" as directed on the left side of the screen. Could you please assist me in canceling my subscription?

I am having trouble keeping all five of my computers connected to Dropbox. I often have to re-login to update my files, which doesn't always work. I have decided to cancel Dropbox and switch to using a USB stick to store and transfer my files manually between computers as I am the only one who accesses them. I can't locate the "Admin Console" on my screen as suggested by the help menu to cancel my subscription. I need assistance with canceling my Dropbox subscription as I feel it is not worth the expense.

Dear Dropbox Customer Service,
In early [redacted], I started a free trial on the Dropbox app using an Apple iPad. Unfortunately, my son broke the tablet before the trial ended, and I missed the warranty replacement window. After not owning another Apple device until January 31, [redacted], I recently purchased an iPhone. However, when I tried to download free apps, I was prompted to pay for a subscription. I didn't realize I had an active subscription tied to my iCloud account from 3 years ago, which I never used due to the tablet being broken. Apple was unable to assist as they were attempting to charge outstanding balances on any linked cards.
I was advised by an Apple representative to contact Dropbox for help with the $12.86 fee. I seek assistance in removing this charge so I can access essential apps on my new iPhone. I hope to resolve this issue promptly.
Email used for the iCloud account: [redacted]
Thank you.

We may need to stop all payments to Dropbox until this issue is resolved. Thank you for your help.

I have been paying $12.98 monthly for Dropbox Plus, but my account was downgraded to Basic without reason. Despite paying, it only allows me to interact with a Bot, requesting a 12-digit transaction number that I can't provide since I use Apple Pay with a nine-digit transaction number. This frustrating situation has been ongoing for months, and I urgently need access to my files. The customer support experience has been extremely disappointing, and I seek immediate resolution by restoring my Plus account to access my files. My last payment was made on March 17th, [redacted], for $12.98. I need my account upgraded promptly to regain access to my important documents.

A few years ago, I encountered an issue with my Android phone and reached out to Verizon for assistance. The technician recommended saving my photos on Dropbox before resetting the phone. Although I was unfamiliar with Dropbox, she assured me it was secure. Following her advice, I stored my photos there. Unfortunately, I misplaced my Dropbox information after moving, and have been struggling to recover my photos for years. I strongly believe there must be a solution to retrieve them. The company should provide assistance in this matter. It is crucial to have a way to authenticate customers to ensure the rightful owner can access their photos. Several years have passed, and I urge for a resolution to this situation.

I haven't used my Dropbox account in a while, and I can't remember the last two passwords I wrote down. The phone number linked to the account is a landline and doesn't receive text messages. If you could send the code to my email, I'd be able to access it. I'd appreciate it if you could provide a phone number for me to call and speak to a live person. While I now have an Android phone, I'm unable to update my phone number on my account without being signed in. I need assistance, please help.

For the past three months, Dropbox has been deducting $11.99 each month from my checking account. I'm not tech-savvy and was shocked to discover these unauthorized charges. I tried to contact Dropbox but kept getting redirected to different numbers. Finally, when I spoke to someone, they requested sensitive information like my debit card and Social Security numbers to address the issue. Despite my concerns, I provided the details only to have the call abruptly ended. Subsequent attempts to reach them were unsuccessful, leading me to suspect foul play. I'm struggling financially and can't afford these charges. I urge Dropbox to cease these deductions. If anyone can assist or if Dropbox sees this, please stop. You can reach me at [redacted] Thank you for helping me resolve this matter.

I'm facing a login issue with Dropbox.com as it's not accepting my password. I've maintained a monthly paid account for years. The password reset process asks for a security code sent via email, but the email doesn't arrive before the timeout screen appears. I've submitted an online help request, which mentions a 1 to 2-day wait, an impractical timeframe. The call-back option also requires login, compounding the issue. Unfortunately, it seems impossible to receive immediate assistance. Other platforms send email resets instantly, unlike Dropbox. Requesting to receive the code on my cell phone instead of email could be a solution.

Also, I haven't paid for membership after 2 GB, but I stored important documents. If I pay for membership now, can I still access all my saved documents?

I am having difficulty accessing my Dropbox account because the email linked to it is no longer active. While I know my password, I am unable to enter a six-digit code sent to the defunct email address. Despite maintaining my subscription, I am unable to cancel it due to this email issue. I've tried contacting Dropbox multiple times and submitted support tickets with no reply. Initially, I intended to keep the account, but now I seek to cancel it and recover my photos and documents. I ask Dropbox to manually update the email linked to my account so I can log in, or if that's not possible, to delete my account and stop the subscription.

I keep receiving notifications that I've exceeded my storage limit, but I have only a small number of photos and have deleted many old files. The message states that I have used over 3,[redacted]% of 2GB, which is equivalent to more than 1,[redacted] eBooks. Considering the amount of data on my Dropbox, it wouldn't even fill 2 eBooks. As a retired veteran, I don't generate much content or take numerous pictures. I rarely save files, yet I keep getting prompted to purchase additional space. Can someone assist me in resolving this issue?
