Order [redacted]-[redacted]:
I attempted to purchase an item from a seller but encountered difficulty making a transfer with only their nickname. The seller responded late, prompting me to buy the same item elsewhere where payment through Paypal was accepted. I will not be paying the first seller's invoice due to the delayed communication regarding Paypal payment option. Regards, seller Georges Mertens.

Hello, I am seeking assistance with my order #[redacted]-[redacted]. I purchased a record on October 10th through Discogs from a seller named Chris Pelle. I made the payment the following day using e-banking. Pelle marked the order as "sent" on October 13th. After about a week passed, I inquired with Pelle about the delivery timeframe, to which he responded not to worry, as it was on the way. I asked the same question last Saturday, receiving a similar response. Today, I reached the limit of my patience and requested a refund from Pelle. His response was disrespectful and he accused me of being a thief and a liar. I feel deeply deceived and am seeking assistance in resolving this matter. Thank you. Regards, Reimund.

I am currently dealing with a situation with a buyer who has payment pending in a processing status on PayPal, using a different ID this time. After a previous negative experience with this buyer, I decided to issue a full refund and cancel the order to avoid potential issues. I am looking to have both the buyer's feedback and my feedback removed, along with the reversal of any tax fees associated with the order. The buyer has displayed aggressive and threatening behavior, which has led me to not want to proceed with the transaction. I have already refunded the payment through PayPal, and now I am seeking guidance on how to cancel the order without incurring any tax losses. Despite previous attempts to block this buyer, their actions persist. I am willing to cover the Discogs commissions but wish to avoid the MN tax. Order #[redacted]. How can I have the tax fee refunded for a canceled order on Discogs?

I am seeking advice on how to recover the tax fee from a Discogs order that was canceled and refunded. A buyer made a payment that was held in suspect status due to a different PayPal ID being used from their previous order. The buyer has a history of pressuring me to ship before the funds are available and has engaged in unfavorable behavior and threats in the past. I chose to refund the buyer and do not wish to proceed with the order. I am looking to have the order canceled, the tax fees reversed, and both our feedback removed. I believe the buyer is attempting to manipulate sellers for free items. I have already refunded the buyer via PayPal, and I am keen on avoiding any tax losses. Despite trying to block the buyer, their actions persist. I am willing to pay the Discogs commissions but not the MN tax. The order number is #[redacted]. How can I go about getting the tax fee refunded from the canceled order on Discogs?

Hello, I am having trouble logging into my Discogs account. Despite multiple attempts, I cannot access it. I had requested my password to be saved a while back, but suddenly it's not working. Could it be because I haven't used my Discogs account in a month? Also, when I try to reset my password, it doesn't work. I am not receiving any emails from Discogs either. I would appreciate it if you could email me with some instructions. Thank you.

On November 3rd, I purchased a record from a seller on Discogs based in America. After about 3 weeks, the record arrived in Berlin. I had already paid a total of around 50 euros for the record, shipping costs, and import fees. Surprisingly, upon receiving the record, I was asked to pay an additional 10 euros at the post office as import fees (VAT) were not included during the initial shipment. It seems these fees were not handled properly by the American post. I've learned that the only way to recover these double charges is through the seller, but despite sending two emails requesting assistance and providing necessary information, I have not received any response. Any advice on how to proceed would be greatly appreciated. Best regards from Berlin, Germany, Robert.

Hello, thank you for reaching out! I am currently searching for a specific album, originally released on CD in [redacted], featuring Bonnie Raitt among other well-known artists titled "Ultrasonic Studios, Hempstead NY." I have tried Discogs with no success, so I am seeking alternative ways to acquire it. I am interested in the 2 LP version, possibly a United Kingdom release, if the CD is not available. If anyone in this community has a copy for sale or if there is any way to contact the owner of this recording, please let me know. Thank you for any assistance! - Wayne D.

Regarding Order number [redacted]-56, I have successfully processed a $10.50 refund to Alexander Dibblee through Paypal. Due to the automated payment system on Discogs, I was unable to cancel the order before the transaction, which incurred a $1.88 fee from Discogs and Paypal. I kindly request a refund for the Discogs fee.
Is there a way to disable automatic payments so that I can manually send invoices to customers instead? I have faced issues in the past with automated payments, particularly concerning underpayment for shipping and insurance. I prefer to invoice customers directly to avoid such complications. As I also encountered challenges with issuing refunds through Paypal, I currently face a $1.50 loss on this transaction, including US sales tax and the Paypal fee.
I appreciate your help,
James (Durgar)

Hello,
I am writing regarding Order #[redacted]-9 for the CD "Nilsson Sings Newman" that I placed with brenrens on 1/7/22 through Discogs. I paid for the item with a PO Money Order on the same day as there was no credit card payment option provided. I messaged the seller on Discogs to inform them about sending the Money Order. Despite several follow-up messages, I have not received any responses from the seller. Recently, Discogs notified me that I must settle the payment within 1 day to avoid negative feedback for non-payment. I am seeking advice on how to address this issue and would appreciate any assistance.
Thank you,
D.K.

Hello,
I placed an order # [redacted]-[redacted] for 2 CDs from a seller named over9000cd. Shortly after ordering, I realized the CDs are likely Russian bootlegs as they were priced too low for authentic rare, out-of-print CDs. I promptly contacted the seller to request a refund due to my policy against purchasing bootlegs. Unfortunately, I have not received a response despite multiple attempts. The seller then informed me that the items have been shipped.
I urge you to investigate the seller's history as I suspect fraudulent activity based on his pricing and lack of response. Kindly reach out to the seller on my behalf to request a refund and halt the shipment of the CDs. Your assistance is greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
JD

I recently had an unfortunate experience with a buyer, David A. from Shevington, Wigan, who purchased a record from me on Discogs. After initially leaving positive feedback upon receiving the record and paying via PayPal, he later initiated a Chargeback through his bank, reclaiming £37, citing dissatisfaction with the record's condition. While I have no issue with him seeking a refund if unhappy, I am now faced with the challenge of retrieving the record from him. Despite numerous attempts to contact him, all have been unsuccessful. I am seeking your assistance in addressing this matter with David A. on my behalf, as his actions appear to violate Discogs rules and might even be illegal. Your prompt intervention and resolution on this issue would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Dear Discogs, I want to thank you for helping me access accurate information about my large record and CD collection, crucial for my new insurance policy. While I couldn't reach you by phone, this message should suffice. I need help identifying an early pressing of Van Morrison's "Moondance" from [redacted] on the Warner Bros-Seven Arts label. Despite no matching codes, I believe I can serve as a consultant with my 30 years of experience in the record industry, including 5 years at W.E.A. Corp. I also authored a memoir, "Musical Chairs," which is stocked at Powell's Books in Portland, Oregon. Due to the pandemic, I'm unable to make appearances. Feel free to contact me as I have an account with you. Best regards, Andrew J. Stimmel.

As the seller, I'm Félix J. Gracia Nicolás de Artavia from Navarra, Spain, and I go by the username felixgracianicolas. I received an order number [redacted]-4 (3 items) from petit_cotta (Naoto Yosimura-Japan) on February 20, which I accepted on February 24. The buyer tried to pay me via PayPal, but I couldn't receive it as a new user since my email wasn't confirmed during registration. It was on March 1 when I contacted PayPal by phone, and they assisted me, and the buyer was asked to confirm the payment via email. On the same day, I received the payment, but PayPal held the funds due to my lack of selling history until the buyer confirmed receiving the records and being satisfied. Meanwhile, on March 2, the order was canceled by you as unpaid, causing frustration to Naoto, who had already made the payment. I hope this misunderstanding can be resolved promptly, and any harm caused to Naoto can be rectified. Thank you.

Hello Discogs, I have entered about 40% of my collection into your database and frequently use your site to purchase music. Recently, I discovered that I may have unintentionally created a second account a few years ago. I am concerned that some of my CDs are missing from my collection and suspect they may be assigned to the other account. I worry about losing all the work I put into cataloging my collection. My email is [redacted], and the username I have been using is happyadd. I would greatly appreciate your help in resolving this issue. My music collection means a lot to me, and I hope to merge both accounts to avoid any potential loss of data. Thank you for your assistance. Best regards, David Burns from Bakersfield, California.

I was disheartened to discover my work attributed to someone else with the same name and initials, Edward T Brown, listed as artist number A445958 on your site. The works I'm referencing fall into three categories: Category 1 - instruments and performances, including Eric Mercury's album "Pours When It Rains", Steve March's album "Lucky", Vernon Birch's album "When I Get Back Home", Jay Ferguson's album "Thunder Island" with the track "Thunder Island", Brenda Russell's album "Brenda Russell", Sherrie and Susaye's album "Partners", and Minnie Riperton's album "Adventures in Paradise"; Category 2 - vocals, featuring Sherrie and Susaye's album "Partners" and Stevie Wonder's album "Hotter than July"; and Category 3 - writing and arrangement, with Johnny Nash's album "Let's Go Dancing" featuring my song "Closer", and Minnie Riperton's album "Adventures in Paradise" with my song "Love and Its Glory". Despite our shared name and music roles, I did perform on the mentioned tracks, and I kindly request an amendment to rectify this error. Thank you, Edward Thomas Brown.

I am looking to sell my collection of records from the 1970s. I used to be an avid record collector in my youth. Now, at 63, I am ready to part with them. DJ Records has expressed interest in buying the collection. Approximately half of the LPs are still sealed and they are all in mint condition, stored in plastic sleeves. The collection includes albums from iconic artists like The Beatles, Pink Floyd, David Bowie, Iggy Pop, Velvet Underground featuring Andy Warhol, Phil Manzanera, Mott the Hoople, LA Express, Hawkwind, Steve Gibbons, Ultravox, Tom Verlaine, and more. However, DJ Records has not confirmed a date to come to San Antonio to finalize the deal, and I am eager to sell soon. If you are interested, please reach out. Thank you, Dawn Martin [redacted].

I am experiencing challenges with PayPal placing holds on funds due to a new policy where they are claiming to not have received the funds from customers. The disputed amount is below my usual monthly average, and the appeals process is automatically denied by their system, forcing me to wait 30 days to appeal again.
Are there any alternative payment systems recommended as an alternative to PayPal? I wonder if Discogs is aware of this issue. My sales decrease was a result of a Discogs problem that affected the display of my inventory. Can Discogs advocate for sellers to prevent low limits from triggering PayPal holds during peak sales times?

I recently purchased a rare vinyl through Discogs, but unfortunately, the seller sent it to the wrong address. It seems that the address the vinyl was sent to was from a CD purchase I made three years ago, even though I am not registered to it. Despite informing the recipient and providing my contact details, they have not responded. The vinyl, which cost €[redacted] and was bought for a friend, is now seemingly not returnable. I have exhausted options like contacting the recipient and talking to Paypal, but have not found a solution yet. Any advice on what steps I can take next would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Warm regards, K.W. Schneider.

Hello, My name is Keith Taylor, and I go by the seller name Keitay54 on Discogs. I recently sold 4 records to a customer named Anna Waite, with the Discogs username Annawa232. I didn't receive any notification from Discogs that the order was paid for, but I confirmed the payment in PayPal and shipped the records. I clicked on the dollar bill icon next to "Invoice Sent," which stated "The seller has confirmed receiving payment for the order." However, Anna is still receiving messages from Discogs to pay for her order. I hope we can resolve this issue promptly. You can reach me at [redacted] Thank you, Keith.
