Last Tuesday, our funds in our DeFi wallet were frozen due to a deposit of 1.2 million. They requested a 150k deposit, 10% as a bond to release our funds before sending it to the IRS. Regrettably, the 150k was deposited into the frozen account inadvertently. We were unaware of the specific procedure required to deposit the funds to unfreeze our account. Our anxiety is currently very high. We plan to resend the deposit on Tuesday, after Memorial Day. I am attempting to transfer funds from my fiat wallet to my bank account. While trying to proceed through the Identity Verification screen on the app, I encountered the request to "Enter the verification code generated by your authenticator app." However, I am now using a different phone from when I originally created my account, leading me to be uncertain about how to obtain the 2FA code. When I attempted to reset my code on the website, I received the following notification:

A Crypto.com team advisor has been in touch with me via phone and email regarding my transaction authentication. Initially, he requested funds for the verification process, which I complied with. Now, he is asking for a 7% flat tax payment as I am a French investor using a platform outside the EU (BREXIT) to transfer funds from my cloud wallet to my Crypto.com account. He has given me a deadline of 3 working days to make this payment, stating that my wallet will be blocked and my funds lost otherwise. I am unsure if this request is standard practice. I am encountering a Submission Error when attempting to transfer funds to an external account. My holdings include Bitcoin, USD Coin, and fiat currencies. I am trying to reopen a Crypto.com account that I opened in the 3rd or 4th quarter of [redacted] but never funded or activated. I have since moved from NJ to VA and no longer use the email address linked to my account, but I still use the same phone number. I want to either reopen and activate the existing account or create a new one with my current address and phone number. However, when I try to create a new account, they send verification codes to my old email or say my phone number is already linked to the old account. I need to update my contact information on the old account or close it if necessary.

Surprisingly, there was no mention beforehand that failing to fulfill the requirements on time would result in my account's withdrawal and transaction functions being disabled. When I asked for clarification on what "credit affected" meant, I was informally notified that my functions would be disabled, which is concerning.
