Yesterday, I searched your website for a vehicle and thought I found one that required a $[redacted] upfront payment via an eBay gift card. I made the payment assuming the car would be delivered today with further payments to follow. Upon reflection, I now see it was a scam. eBay confirmed there is no record of the transaction ID, labeling it as a scam. Authorities suggested Craigslist refund the stolen money and take responsibility for the scam. I request my $[redacted] refund or will consider legal action.

I have come across a listing on Craigslist for a [redacted] Acura TL priced at $[redacted] that seems suspicious. After using a service like Been Verified, I couldn't find any additional information on the seller. They are suggesting using eBay's motor storage method, but I believe this might be a scam since the car is valued much higher. I am looking for advice on how to gather more details on this situation to discuss it with the appropriate authorities to prevent any fraudulent transaction. Thank you for any guidance.

On August 3rd, my parents and I met with an individual who advertised Maine Coon kittens on Craigslist. The post titled "Best kitties in the world!!" offered the kittens for $[redacted], supposedly reduced from $[redacted] each. Following the transaction, the Craigslist post was flagged and the seller's phone number became disconnected. Despite claims that the kittens were Maine Coons, after consulting with a professional, it was revealed that they are domestic shorthairs. The seller introduced herself as Samantha or Sam Lynn and has a distinctive strawberry hemangioma on one side of her face. She was accompanied by her mother and children. The meeting location was changed from Mount Pleasant, WI to Elkhorn, WI. My family and I are now looking to return the kittens and receive a full refund.

For months, I have been receiving phone calls regarding a trailer ad I never posted. After trying to correct the number to no avail, I continue to get calls now about a wood chipper. I suspect ongoing pranks. Can you track all ads linked to phone number [redacted] to ban the users? Alternatively, could I be notified if a new ad with this number is posted to verify its legitimacy? I believe such a verification step with two-way authentication before posting contact details would prevent such issues. I'm located in NJ, likely on the local Craigslist.

We are in the business of purchasing cars for our dealership. Unfortunately, whenever we try to reply to messages on the site while at work, an error message appears. Additionally, attempting to email from the site results in a notification saying that our IP address has been blocked. Strangely, we do not encounter these issues when accessing the site from home or on our phones. It is imperative that this matter is resolved urgently! We are willing to provide our IP address to the individual addressing our concerns, as we prefer not to disclose it here. Your prompt assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I work in automotive management, handling vehicle services for clients. I've been attempting to sell old sets of snow tires that my clients no longer need when changing vehicles. Despite listing these tires repeatedly over the years, I have only sold a few. Recently, I received a message from Craigslist stating that my listings were violating their regulations because I am a private seller. I am not involved in tire trading. I have disposed of many good tires, but I still have some left to sell on behalf of my clients as private sales. I am uncertain if this is permissible on Craigslist or if it jeopardizes my account. I appreciate any guidance on this matter.

I wanted to alert you to two suspicious listings on Craigslist in western Kentucky and Chattanooga. Both involve pontoon boats and appear to be scams designed to obtain personal information and money. The prices listed for the boats are much lower than comparable ones on the market, and the sellers provide excessive details and photos via Nextel phone numbers. The sellers claim the boats belonged to deceased husbands and are in a rush to sell. The descriptions of the boats change significantly once more information is requested, altering the outboard motor size and boat length. I have responded to both ads and suspect they may be connected due to similarities in their approach. Others have also reported encountering these listings. I have saved text conversations from both sellers, but they have not shared their email addresses.

There is an individual in Savannah, GA on CL sending suspicious links for renting properties. Upon clicking the link, a verification code is sent to my phone, leading to misuse of my identity for reposting fake rental ads. The person uses two Google phone numbers: [redacted] and [redacted]. The aggressive scammer insists on a $[redacted] deposit through an iTunes card before seeing the property, even requesting a photo of my driver's license. Similar activity is observed with a [redacted] number targeting areas in Atlanta and Lexington, SC. They pressure for payment upfront using Google numbers while posing as legitimate landlords. Stay cautious of such scams on Craigslist as they misuse personal information for fraudulent activities, prompting vigilance when browsing such platforms.

There seems to be an individual claiming to work at your company who is repeatedly flagging, deleting, and removing my posts while allowing inappropriate content to stay. Despite my efforts to adhere to guidelines, this person targets my posts, even resorting to personal remarks and hindering my ability to engage with the community. It appears this person named Paul is unfairly singling me out, impeding my post visibility and interactions. I simply request a fair opportunity to post in various sections without harassment and discrimination. This behavior is unprofessional and obstructs my communication with others on the platform. I hope this matter can be addressed promptly to ensure equal treatment for all users.

Hello, I am seeking assistance regarding a Craigslist ad that contains false information about my father giving away a boat for free. This post has led to an influx of unwanted calls as his personal phone number has been publicly shared. It is causing distress as he has owned this number for over 20 years and changing it would be inconvenient. I kindly request help in flagging and removing this misleading post promptly to prevent further issues. As my father is an elderly individual, the emotional toll of this situation is significant. Any support in identifying the individual behind the ad would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Jessica Westcott

My current account, [redacted], has had posts flagged and removed when I tried to repost my resume. My name is Jacqueline Rosetta Jent, and my phone number is [redacted]. I attempted the same on my old account, Rosie [redacted], with the same outcome. Both accounts now have four flagged posts in pink, prohibiting me from reposting as I am blocked. I feel unfairly targeted as this resume has been posted before without issues. Despite rewording, it still triggered the automatic flagging, which I believe is done by Craigslist. I respectfully request a review and clarification on why my posts were flagged when I did not breach any guidelines. It's crucial for me to be able to post my resume to secure employment, and I seek resolution on this matter.

I encountered a fraud scam attempting to sell a John Deere [redacted] tractor for $1,[redacted] on Craigslist Northeast Connecticut, requesting eBay gift cards. eBay confirmed that the account numbers used were fraudulent. I tried unsuccessfully to contact Craigslist to report this issue and recommend a warning about scams on the site. Contacting GET HUMAN was effective in reaching someone. Following the incident, I reported to the FTC and provided information to the FBI. After GET HUMAN intervened, Craigslist ultimately blocked the site. It is concerning how many others may have fallen victim during my attempts to reach out to Craigslist.

I recently allowed a friend to use my account and credit card to post an ad on Craigslist. The ad was titled "I am a mistress in training that needs subs." Although I didn't notice any issues with the ad, Craigslist contacted me, advising against such postings and issued a one-time credit card refund. Following their request, I refrained from reposting the ad. However, I haven't been informed about any deactivation of my account. Despite numerous attempts to run my long-standing account, I kept encountering credit card decline messages. After changing my credit card, the same issue persisted. I acknowledge my error and assure that it won't recur. I am seeking guidance on reinstating my account and ensuring this situation does not repeat. My account is linked to the email [redacted]

After posting my boat for sale, I received a text message claiming to be from Craigslist stating that my ad was flagged as fraudulent. They requested a picture of my email confirmation to verify. Concerned it might be a scam, I provided the picture and subsequently removed the ad. Worried about potential unauthorized access, I urgently need to know if the text from [redacted] was genuinely from Craigslist. If it wasn't, could you please ensure the ad is completely cancelled to prevent any unauthorized access to my information? My email address is - [redacted] Thank you for addressing this promptly.

I believed I was purchasing a golf cart from a woman in the military. She mentioned that if I provided my phone number and zip code, the army could deliver it since she was going overseas for 18 months. The transaction was supposed to take place on eBay, so I trusted it was legitimate. I bought a total of $[redacted] worth of eBay gift cards - 7 at $[redacted] each and 1 at $[redacted]. However, after entering the gift card numbers, a message appeared stating I would receive a confirmation number in 12 hours only after we received the golf cart and approved it. The Craigslist ad is still active, and I'm hoping it can be closed down, and I can get my money refunded. [redacted] She indicated a screen appeared saying I would receive a receipt in 12 hours, and I waited for it.

I came across a suspicious listing on Craigslist for a rental property at [redacted] Bloomfield Ave in Roanoke, VA. The post offered a 3-bedroom, [redacted] sq ft single-family home for $[redacted] a month, with free washer and dryer. After visiting the property, I received an email from the poster, with numerous spelling errors and a confusing story about the owner relocating due to surgery and wanting to rent out the house instead of selling it through a realtor. The information provided didn't add up, as the owner is actually married with a college-aged child. This discrepancy raised red flags for me, and I suspect potential fraud. I've decided to avoid Craigslist for rentals going forward and urge caution when encountering deals that seem too good to be true. It's disappointing that there are dishonest people out there preying on unsuspecting individuals. Thank you.

Do you engage with any private fraud agencies, in addition to government law enforcement, to apprehend individuals who target your customers? We identify these offenders and escalate the matter to the authorities or your team should you want to set an example and deter such harmful practices from impacting your service reputation. Our methods lead to apprehension, and we are prepared to hand them over to you for the necessary actions. You can decide how to proceed, and if needed, ensure they face strict penalties to discourage others from attempting similar scams that jeopardize your customers' financial security. I would appreciate the opportunity to connect with a Fraud Department representative responsible for apprehending these criminals.

I listed an entertainment center on Craigslist for $[redacted]. A potential buyer contacted me via text offering to pay more with a certified check for $2,[redacted], instructing me to give the excess to the movers. I deposited the amount and sent the remainder. The buyer then asked for a transfer through Walmart, claiming it was for the movers. We scheduled a pick up, but the next day, he backed out and demanded a refund of the extra money. Realizing it was a scam, I refused. Unfortunately, I lost $2,[redacted] when the fake check didn’t clear, despite reporting it to my bank and the police.

Hello, I recently listed my Dodge Ram van [redacted] for sale in Berkeley and San Francisco but my posts were removed. I understand now that this was causing an issue, and I tried to repost it only in Berkeley. However, it was rejected. I even created a new account but it was still recognized as prohibited. I am eager to sell the van as I am leaving for France next week. Can you please allow me to post it again? I assure you I will only post it once, in Berkeley, and using one account. Thank you in advance. -Corentin
