I'd like to understand the reason behind the cancellation of my passport. I visited Passport Canada to inquire about the process for obtaining a new one if mine was lost. Initially, I mentioned the possibility of it being in my car and that I would return with it if found. Upon my return, I was informed that no action was taken on my passport and it was still valid. I departed Thunder Bay smoothly on January 28th, but encountered issues leaving Toronto. A staff member advised me to arrive early at Cancun airport on February 9th in case of any complications. On that day, I was denied exit from Mexico as my passport had been canceled. Could you please clarify the date and reason for the cancellation, as well as the entity responsible for it? Passport Canada only indicated it was canceled on February 13th, the same day when the Canadian Consulate in Cancun issued me a temporary passport.

To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing to address the delay in processing my old age pension application. It has been brought to my attention that there is a discrepancy in my immigration papers relating to my entry dates into Canada in [redacted] and [redacted]. I entered Canada in [redacted] under a working contract and later obtained permanent resident status in [redacted] after applying at the Canadian embassy in Boston.
I believe clarifying this sequence of events will assist in resolving any issues with my pension application. Your prompt attention to this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your assistance.

While on holiday visiting my son and granddaughters in Seattle, Washington, we took a break at a park in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. Unfortunately, during our visit, I misplaced my Canadian passport. I suspect it fell out of my jacket pocket while playing with my granddaughter on the swings. I have already reported the loss to the Coeur d'Alene Police Department with the incident number 19C12828. I'm in the process of applying for a new passport, but I can't locate my original citizenship certificate for reference. Could you please provide me with the necessary information from my citizenship certificate, such as the serial number, date of issue, and place? Thank you. You can reach me at phone number 1-[redacted].

I have been unsuccessful in reaching a live person over the phone despite numerous attempts.
A family member residing in the U.S. wishes to attend a wedding in Canada. Despite having a DUI over ten years ago and fulfilling all related requirements, the Canadian website indicates she may still be ineligible to enter Canada or apply for a Temporary Resident Permit (TRP) based on the offense. What options are available? We are concerned about being denied entry at the border. Could she potentially qualify for TRP status? Even with approval, is there a chance she may face issues at the border? We are simply seeking guidance on possible solutions. Is the request irrelevant?
We eagerly await your response regarding available options.
Thank you.

Hello,
I'm Pedro Socarras, a Canadian citizen.
This year, I invited my partner from Cuba to visit me in Toronto for the summer, marking the third invitation as the previous two visa attempts were unsuccessful.
He applied for a visa in Havana on April 04 and was informed in May that the process would be handled from Mexico City. He received a Certificate for fingerprints, but it has been three months with no update on his application status.
Multiple emails to [redacted] have gone unanswered, leading us to consider reaching out to the Honourable Ahmed Hussen, Minister of Immigration and Citizenship for assistance.

I am a Canadian living in the United States and currently in school. To qualify for financial benefits, I need to show proof that I could not register for the selective service program between the ages of 18 and 26 because I was not in the country during that time. I left for Canada at the age of 27 in December [redacted]. I require documentation confirming my arrival at Mirabel Airport that also includes my birth date. This evidence will demonstrate to the school that I was still in my country until the age of 27 and had already surpassed the required registration age for selective service. My name is J.O. and I can be contacted at [redacted] or [redacted].

Since [redacted], I have been a convention refugee, and my claim was accepted that same year. In [redacted], my family (4 people) and I had to quickly obtain emergency passports to visit our home country where we are citizens due to my gravely ill grandmother. Unfortunately, the country is still dangerous, which led to our initial flight to Canada. Unable to return before turning 18 and facing my grandmother's passing and my mother's subsequent severe depression, we stayed longer than planned. Now, upon turning 18, I'm unsure if I can return and if any issues related to my status may arise. I have medical documentation regarding my mother's condition, but I am concerned about my status and potential implications. Will I face difficulties returning, or would humanitarian and compassionate grounds be an option if needed?

Dear Concerned Team,
I am Taimur Rahman from Bangladesh, holding a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering. I am exploring the opportunity to immigrate to Canada and have had my education credentials assessed by ECA (WES) as a 4-year Bachelor's degree with a specialization in Mechanical Engineering.
I seek guidance on the Field of Study section in the Express Entry application form. Uncertain whether to select "Science.Applied," "Science.General," or "Others," I would appreciate clarification on the appropriate selection.
Furthermore, with over 4 years of cumulative full-time work experience, I have encountered a 2-year gap between my first job of 2 years and subsequent employment lasting 2 years 4 months. I am uncertain how this job gap impacts the assessment of "3 years or more of foreign work experience." I kindly request clarification on this matter.
Thank you for your assistance.

Hello, I have been trying to find information online, but I feel like I am going in circles. My girlfriend and I are planning to travel to Canada for a year or two and are unsure about the visa requirements. I was informed that as an Irish citizen, you do not need a visa for the first six months, but this doesn't sound accurate to me. I believe I will need some type of visa that gives me permission to stay, even if I cannot work initially. Our plan is to start with a holiday, possibly one month of traveling, and then settle in an area where we can look for work. I prefer to travel a bit first due to my experience in dairy farming. I have worked in this sector for 10 years, with a strong background in dairy farming practices. My girlfriend is qualified in equestrian studies and faces similar challenges in finding work. Any advice on what steps we should take would be appreciated.

Hello, my name is Vanessa W., an international student from Jamaica enrolled at Sheridan College Trafalgar Campus. Since arriving in Canada on my student permit, my aunt Sophia S. has been my host. Unfortunately, due to issues with her behavior, I find myself in a challenging situation. She is not supportive of my desire to visit my grandma regularly and has even threatened me, insisting I return to Jamaica. Given these circumstances, I am requesting to have her name removed from my file and for another family member to assist with accommodations moving forward. I plan to visit the nearest immigration office to address this matter as soon as possible.

Subject: Refund Inquiry - Permanent Residence Fee
Hello,
I would like to discuss the refund of the Permanent Residence Fee related to my wife, Shi Aizhen, born on August 31, [redacted], UCI [redacted]2. I also wish to bring up Receipt No. R[redacted]86 and File No. F[redacted]98. On December 12, [redacted], I was informed that my file is with the Canadian visa office in Hong Kong. I reached out to the Canadian consulate in Hong Kong on December 13, [redacted], regarding the refund process for The Right of Permanent Residence Fee following the refusal of my sponsorship appeal.
Despite meeting all requirements for the refund, there seems to be a delay in processing it as my file is being located. I provided the necessary documents, including the receipt, refusal letter, and sponsor's appeal rights letter. To expedite the process, I will attach these documents to the web form. I expect the refund to be issued promptly. If there are any further delays beyond February 7, [redacted], I will pursue interest payments on the refund.
Thank you,
Stephen J. McEwan

Regarding: Post Graduate Work Permit
I recently received my biometrics instruction letter on March 6, [redacted]. However, all the available appointment dates for biometrics in British Columbia (Vancouver, Richmond, Surrey, New Westminster) are more than 30 days away. The next appointment I could schedule is on April 7. I have applied for the next available date but I am concerned about how this might impact my application status. Is there a process to request an extension? Could you provide a contact number or email to reach out and explain my situation?

I submitted my application for proof of citizenship in July. I am planning to start university in Canada this August or September [redacted]. I have received acceptance letters from some Canadian universities. I am eager for my application to be expedited as I only have 4 months left before moving to Canada. Without citizenship proof, I will have to obtain a study visa, which will require additional time and money. I have attempted to fill out the online form for urgent processing, but it keeps indicating errors in the information provided. Unfortunately, I have been unable to find another method of contact. Any assistance on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

I'm struggling to access the application forms I need for permanent residence. Service Canada is closed, so I went to the library to download them, but I could only get 5 pages. Phone support hasn't connected me to a live agent. My old computer is also not cooperating with the downloads. How can I acquire the complete package of forms without online access? Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing regarding my UCI number: [redacted]0 and sponsor UCI:[redacted]4. I received approval from the appeal office in October [redacted], but I have not received any information from the immigration office since then. Today, August 3, after speaking with an officer at the immigration office, I learned they are waiting for my approval letter from the appeal office.
Given that my daughter is starting in-class learning in September [redacted], I am in urgent need of childcare assistance she provides. I was informed by the appeal office that the approval was not digital at the time and was sent by mail to your office. Therefore, I kindly request a direct email where I can send my approval letter from the appeal office.
Please let me know where I can send this essential documentation. Thank you for your assistance.

Hello; I am Jose Bernardino, seeking assistance in a matter with my fiancée. We are in our 60's and late 40's, not young. Last December, I faced Visa issues flying from Montreal to Toronto airport. We've been together for three years and wish to take the right steps once travel restrictions are lifted, such as sending a notarized affidavit of intent to marry to the Philippines. We plan to marry there and apply for permanent residency in Canada. I have questions regarding the visitor's visa, permanent residence visa, sponsorship visa, and necessary applications post-marriage. Can I exceed 30 days in the Philippines? We seek guidance on this matter. Your expertise is appreciated, and we are grateful for any help with the proper application forms. Thank you for your time.

Hello; My name is Jose B. I would appreciate your assistance with an issue my fiancée and I are facing. In short, we are not young, being in our 60s and late 40s. In December last year, I had a flight from Montreal to Toronto but was turned back due to visa issues. As we near our three-year relationship milestone, we aim to take the following steps post travel restrictions being lifted: 1. Send a notarized affidavit of intent to marry for processing in the Philippines; 2. Marry in the Philippines and apply for permanent residency in Canada. I have queries about the visitor's visa, permanent visa, sponsor's visa, post-marriage visa requirements, early application possibilities, duration of stay in the Philippines exceeding 30 days, and overall guidance on this matter. Any advice you can offer would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time and assistance. Hope to hear from you soon.

I had a problem boarding my flight from India to Canada due to my inactive visa caused by an expired medical exam. I need advice on how to renew the medical examination. The nearest panel physician I contacted asked for an IME number, which I am unsure how to obtain. Should I reapply for the medical exam? If so, do I need to remove the old document and replace it with a new one in my application, or should I submit a completely new medical examination form?

Hello,
My name is Alireza Mojarab, and I currently reside in Iran. My father obtained his visa approximately 5 or 6 months ago, but I am unsure of the exact timeframe. I tried calling the phone number listed on the Citizenship and Immigration Canada website, but no one answered. Therefore, I am submitting my question here. It has been about 3 months since my mother, my sister, and I completed our biometrics in Turkey since Iran doesn't have any embassies. I am curious to know when our visas will be issued.
Thank you and have a wonderful day.
Goodbye.
