Hello, I had originally booked a flight from LAX to SGN for Wednesday the 19th at 12:30 AM but was unable to make it. When I contacted Cheapoair to reschedule for the next day to arrive in SGN on Friday the 21st, the representative mistakenly booked me for an early Saturday flight at 12:30 PM instead of AM. I paid $[redacted] for a different ticket and cannot afford another change due to this error. I need to be rebooked for the 12:30 AM flight. I tried contacting Cheapoair again, but they advised me to reach out to Cathay directly for assistance. Thank you for your help.

My daughter (A.A.) and I (R.A.) were scheduled to depart today from JFK on flight [redacted] with Cathay Pacific at 2:50 PM. The flight has been delayed to 3:30 PM, and our connecting flight from Hong Kong to Delhi (flight [redacted]) has been delayed by a day. Originally, we were supposed to fly out on the 22nd of June, but we received a text from Cathay Pacific informing us that our flight has been rescheduled for the 23rd, resulting in a 24-hour layover. This change has affected our travel plans as we have a domestic flight to catch on the 23rd. We are requesting to be accommodated to fly out from Hong Kong on the 22nd instead of the 23rd to avoid this disruption. We hope to resolve this matter promptly as it has inconvenienced us greatly.

Hello, I made a booking for a flight with your airline through Make My Trip online. I selected a timing option on the site. However, my friends have pointed out an issue. I booked a flight from Delhi to Vancouver for August 19th with a layover of about 6 hours in Hong Kong. My return flight is from Vancouver to Delhi on August 30th with a layover of just 50 minutes in Hong Kong airport. I am worried that if my Vancouver flight arrives late in Hong Kong on the way back and I miss my connecting flight with only a 50-minute layover, what would be the potential consequences? Please address this concern promptly and provide a suitable solution so I can travel without worries. Thank you. Best regards, A.

Hello, I wanted to inform you that I have recently made a booking with your airline through Make My Trip online. I selected a specific flight option displayed on the website. However, after discussing with my friends, they have brought up an issue that concerns me. I have reserved a flight from Delhi to Vancouver for the 19th of August with a layover of approximately 6 hours in Hong Kong. Conversely, my return journey is from Vancouver to Delhi on the 21st of December, with a layover of only 1 hour and 5 minutes at Hong Kong airport. I am worried about the possibility of missing my connecting flight in Hong Kong on my way back to Delhi in case my Vancouver flight arrives late due to various reasons. Since the layover time is only 1 hour and 5 minutes, I am concerned about potential delays, especially during winter with the possibility of snowstorms and other weather-related issues. I kindly request that you attend to this matter promptly and provide me with a suitable solution so that I can travel with peace of mind. As a first-time solo traveler and a student, your assistance in addressing my concerns is greatly appreciated. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Best regards, Savitoj

My daughter and son-in-law flew from Newark Airport to Hong Kong on Flight #[redacted] and then to Bangkok on Flight #[redacted] on July 2, [redacted]. Their final destination was the island of Koh Samui in Thailand. Unfortunately, their luggage did not arrive with them. A report was filed under #BKKCX13315, and the missing luggage is tagged with #CX590311. They were informed that the bag was not loaded onto the plane in Newark. The bag contains all their clothing and essential eye liquid medication for my son-in-law. It has been two days, and contacting the airlines in Thailand yielded no information suggesting the bag was loaded onto the plane in Newark for the next day's arrival. Please help resolve this situation. They are in need of clothing and, most worryingly, the eye medication is missing. I am in touch with my daughter daily. Thank you.

My wife and I have a flight to Mumbai via Hong Kong on July 15th from San Francisco. Our ticket numbers are [redacted][redacted] and [redacted]. We are due to arrive in Hong Kong at 6:55 pm on the 16th, with a connecting flight to Mumbai at 8:10 pm the same day, allowing us a layover of only 1 hour and 25 minutes according to the ticket times. As senior passengers at 70 years old, we have requested wheelchair assistance at the airports. Our worry is if we will have enough time to catch the flight to Mumbai. We would appreciate guidance and assistance to ensure we make the connection smoothly, such as priority seating on the San Francisco to Hong Kong leg to speed up disembarkation and airport processes. We hope the wheelchair handlers can help expedite things in Hong Kong so we don't miss our Mumbai flight. In case of missing the flight, we'd like to know the details of the next available flight to Mumbai. Thank you for addressing our concerns.

The individuals involved, including Gaurav Joshi and Dr. Atharva Mittal, have approached me for significant sums, with various reasons provided each time. Feeling pressured and manipulated, I have, unfortunately, ended up sending a total of [redacted]/-. The situation escalated when I was urged to provide further funds to facilitate a medical aircraft. Hello, I have been receiving calls from Dr. Atharva Mittal claiming he likes me, mentioning a meeting in Bahrain for a conference. He labeled himself as a Cathay Pacific Tycoon asking for money due to a health issue involving a blood clot and surgery. His friend, Gaurav Joshi, joined in, requesting contributions citing spiritual beliefs. They coerced me to give them a total of [redacted]/-. Gaurav Joshi continued by asking for more money, claiming it was for medical aircraft fuel to transport a sick relative. The pressure led me to give more. Their contact information is as follows: Gaurav Joshi - [redacted], Dr. Atharva Mittal - [redacted], and the staff - [redacted]. I urge someone to assist me as I have been a victim of this scam for the past three months as a financially struggling individual.

Initially, this person professed affection for me, mentioned connections to the Prime Minister of India, and asserted involvement in Cathay Pacific. Subsequently, he mentioned a conference meeting in Bahrain and identified himself as a tycoon. Feeling unsure, I eventually agreed. However, he purportedly fell ill with a brain blood clot, necessitating surgery in Bahrain. Another individual, Gaurav Joshi, entered the picture, accompanied by references to Guruji and requests for financial contributions from me and others. They have obtained a substantial amount totaling [redacted]/- from me. Recently, Gaurav Joshi requested additional funds for medical aircraft fuel to bring his brother back to India. My flight was delayed twice in a row, causing me to miss two connections. To make matters worse, 10 of my luggages were misplaced and one was lost. There was also a lot of misinformation given, overbooked flights resulting in my spouse not having the assigned seat, mishandling of luggages, and lack of consistency in baggage updates.

I missed my flight scheduled for August 10, [redacted], at 22:40 for reasons unknown. Despite receiving a check-in email, I had difficulty boarding during the process. Being new to Delhi, I am experiencing mental stress and have nowhere to go at the airport due to the missed flight. I urgently need to enroll in academics in the Philippines, and this setback will cause delays. Unfortunately, I felt no customer support from your airport team, who asked me to return on Monday since the office is closed on Sundays. While I have not received any cancellation emails, the airport team claimed my ticket was canceled, but it's not reflecting in their system. I urge you to investigate this matter promptly and provide a resolution. Please arrange alternate flight options so I can proceed with my academic plans without further disruption to my career. Sincerely, K. K. Joshi

Hello, our family of four (my wife and I and 2 kids) is planning a trip to visit relatives in Hong Kong from San Francisco at the end of this year or next year. We have concerns about the meals served during the flight since my kids have allergies to many foods like dairy, peanuts, soy, seafood, gluten, etc. We have checked the custom meal options, but none of them fit my kids' diets. Is there a way to collaborate with the chef to prepare something suitable for my kids on the flight? Food allergies have prevented us from flying to Hong Kong, and we would fly more often if there were options to work around this issue. Thank you, Ray S.

On August 10, [redacted], I had a flight scheduled for 22:40, but unfortunately, I missed boarding for reasons unknown to me. Despite receiving a check-in email, I encountered difficulties during the process. Being new to Delhi, missing the flight has caused me considerable mental distress as I am stranded at the airport with nowhere to turn. It is urgent as I need to enroll in academic studies in the Philippines, which will now face delays due to this issue on your end. The customer service at the airport lacked empathy and suggested coming back on Monday when the office is closed on Sunday. I have yet to receive a cancelation email, but the airport team claims my ticket is canceled and it does not reflect in their system. It's imperative that you investigate promptly as I am dealing with numerous repercussions. I purchased the tickets well in advance, and without prior notice, my flight was canceled. Kindly conduct a thorough review of the matter and make arrangements for another flight promptly to prevent any further impact on my academic pursuits. Sincerely, K. K. Joshi

Due to recent events, such as the extreme behavior of holding and beating travelers and reporters hostage at Hong Kong airport, I had to choose another airline to ensure my timely arrival in the US last night. Consequently, I was unable to catch my scheduled Cathay Pacific flight on the 15th. I would like to cancel my return flight from HKG to EWR and seek a refund for the canceled leg of my trip. I understand that typically last-minute requests like this are not accommodated. However, given the emergency nature of this situation and Cathay Pacific's special notification allowing passengers to make changes without penalty, I believe my request is justified and should be granted.

I am in the process of booking an international flight from Columbus, Ohio (USA) to Hong Kong between January 15th to January 21. I am using Google Flights to search for and book my flights. The route I am interested in requires using American Airlines and Cathay Pacific airlines for both legs of the journey. After selecting the flight schedule that suits my needs, I noticed that when booking through American Airlines, I am unable to select a seat for the Cathay Pacific portion of the flight. I am particular about my seating preferences and would like guidance on when to select my seat for the Cathay Pacific flights. Should I contact Cathay Pacific customer service to assign my seat when booking the ticket or should I wait until the day of departure for my flights to and from Hong Kong to select my seat? I prefer certain seating arrangements like being seated in the front/middle/back of the aircraft, next to the aisle or window. What would be the best course of action in this situation? Thank you!

On December 8th, my partner and I traveled from London to Hong Kong en route to Rome. Unfortunately, due to airport closures in Hong Kong, we experienced a lack of support and information from Cathay Pacific. Following instructions, we boarded a Milan flight where we were promised our luggage would be with us. In Milan, we received 70 Euros each as compensation, but our immediate flight to Rome prevented us from using it. Upon arrival in Rome, our luggage was missing for two days, forcing us to buy essentials. While journeying through Italy, our belongings caught up with us. When attempting to claim the 70 Euros each in Rome and Melbourne, we faced unhelpful responses. We are seeking guidance on how to claim our compensation effectively.

Hello, I booked return flights to the UK for Christmas and New Year with my family. Unfortunately, I have been diagnosed with cancer and am undergoing treatment, so I won't be able to fly for a while. Flight Centre is currently helping me with a refund for the flights, but I made the seat reservations through your website and was advised to reach out to you. Could you please contact me via email? I will provide you with my doctor's certificate and the flight details. Thank you.

I am Mrs. Maribeth Miraflores Langlet, a passenger of Cathay Pacific. My flight was scheduled for October 21, [redacted], with flight number CX261 from Manila to Hong Kong, then onward to Paris. Unfortunately, the Manila flight was delayed, causing me to miss my connection in Hong Kong. My sister in Dubai then booked me on another flight with flight number CX279 for the morning of October 22. When I visited the Cathay office at the airport, I was informed that I could get a refund for the unused ticket. I initially had to purchase a new ticket in Dubai as I was told I couldn't use my original one, but the situation was not my fault due to the delay in Manila. I hope for your understanding and assistance in this matter. Best regards, Mrs. Maribeth Miraflores Langlet

I was charged an extra $[redacted] for a seat on a rebooked flight after my initial flight delay. Despite already paying for premium economy, I was forced to pay again. My travel date was October 20, [redacted], from JFK to Hong Kong. Unfortunately, my luggage arrived 5 days late in Bangkok. I have requested a refund from Cathay, but they and American Airlines are blaming each other, leaving me out of pocket. On top of the seat charge, I also had to spend $[redacted] on clothes in Thailand. This experience with Cathay has been unfair, and I feel ripped off. I am seeking a refund of the extra seat charge and compensation for my additional expenses. My American Airlines identification is 85 HPD72.
