Hello, I wanted to bring to your attention an issue with the message in one of your advertisements. On Canada Post's official YouTube channel, there is an ad encouraging kids to write letters to Santa Claus. The ad suggests that children from other countries can also write to Santa through Canada Post and receive a reply. I'm referring to this specific part of the Canada Post advertisement: “...million letters sent to him by children from Canada and around the world, and the amazing thing is, every letter gets read, and everyone who writes them gets a letter back….” You can find this between time stamps 0:05 - 0:13 in the YouTube video. I visited the Post Office near my home in Montreal and was told by the staff that the return service for Santa's letters is only within Canada. However, after calling Canada Post customer service, I received conflicting information. One agent said replies only go within Canada, while another said letters go back to the country of origin. I have nephews in Mexico and I'm curious if they would receive a response in Mexico. Can someone assist me in clarifying this matter? Thank you,

I find Canada Post rates to be generally high, but a recent incident really takes the cake. My 4-year-old made a Christmas decoration out of a toilet paper roll for her great-grandmother. We placed it in a small bubble envelope along with a Christmas card. The envelope, unfortunately, was slightly too thick to fit through the letter slot. It should have cost $1.90 to send from Edmonton to just outside of Winnipeg. Surprisingly, it ended up costing $14.44. This situation is absolutely ridiculous. Sending a toilet paper roll and a card for $14.44 from a 4-year-old to her great-grandmother at Christmas seems excessive. I believe the postal charge is outrageous and, as a result, I will no longer use Canada Post for parcels. Instead, I'll opt for gift cards and allocate the postage charges towards the gift itself.

I am reaching out on behalf of my mother, who is 90 years old and lives at [redacted] Elliott Street East in Windsor, Ontario. Whenever a postal worker attempts to deliver a parcel, they do not buzz her from downstairs. Instead, they leave a card in her mailbox claiming that nobody was home. Since my mother does not leave her home due to her age, the parcel ends up at Rexall drugstore. I have been going there to pick up parcels for her this year and last year. If this continues, she will keep missing her parcels. I find it difficult to keep doing this as my legs are not in good condition, and I am also getting older. It seems unreasonable that the postal worker cannot simply buzz her door so she can receive her parcels. I do not understand why people cannot perform their duties properly. Thank you for your attention, and have a pleasant evening.

I wanted to express my appreciation for the personal service provided by the postmaster at our local Carlsbad Springs post office. It's refreshing to interact with a real person in this age of impersonal corporate communication. I've been trying to reach Canada Post to commend them on maintaining rural post offices, but have found it challenging as the phone line is consistently busy, and the email contact information is not readily available. I encourage Canada Post to prioritize human interaction and remember that their clients are not just packages that need to be delivered. Nonetheless, I am grateful for the excellent service I receive from the postmaster in our village. - Paul C.

I am frustrated with the delays in receiving my shipment from New York to Grimsby, Ontario. The package was expected in 6-8 hours, but instead, it was redirected to Quebec, adding another 4 business days to the delivery time. The distance between Quebec and me is not much different from New York, and the whole process has taken far too long. I am baffled by the decision to send it further away when it was already closer to my location. I am disappointed with the service provided and do not understand the logic behind the routing of my shipment.

Hello, I am Maryam Bahrami. I hope all is well with you. Two weeks ago, I shipped a package from Vancouver to Montreal. I was contacted by Canada Post about 5-6 days ago, and they mentioned it would be sent by July 5th. However, today is July 11th, and I have not yet received my package. I am reaching out to inquire about the status of my shipment. It has been approximately 6 days since Canada Post contacted me. I would appreciate a prompt update on the whereabouts of my package. The originating postal code is V3B5R0, and the destination postal code is H3V1A5. The tracking number is [redacted][redacted]. I urgently require this package. Thank you for your assistance. Best regards, M.B.

On June 25, [redacted], an express post addressed to me under PP [redacted]82 CA was received at the Rocky Mountain House main post office. The relief courier, Susan, was filling in and took the item to the Sobey’s Retail Postal Outlet but forgot to leave the delivery notice card with my other mail. I only got the delivery notice card from my regular delivery person, Judy, on Tuesday, June 26, [redacted]. I suspect my delivery was intentionally delayed by Susan. On July 12, [redacted], the same relief driver left outgoing mail in my rural mailbox, stacking incoming letters on top and ignoring the flag I had raised to signal outgoing mail.

I am once again disappointed with the Postal Delivery service as my parcel was not delivered to me. This has been a recurring issue since we moved to this area in January [redacted]. The tracking number for the parcel is [redacted][redacted]. The delivery person consistently fails to ring the intercom and instead leaves a notice for pick-up, causing an inconvenience as the parcel is only available for collection the next day. I have only received a proper delivery once, and that was only after filing a complaint. It is frustrating and unacceptable. I expect my parcel to be delivered today as it was originally scheduled. This continuous poor service is unacceptable. I demand better service from the delivery person and the company. This has happened frequently, prompting my complaint. I am extremely upset about this issue. Thank you, H. Christianson

My mail delivery service has been interrupted once more. This isn't the first time the delivery has been halted by the carrier. Approximately two weeks ago, the mail carrier unilaterally stopped delivering mail to our building for 8 days. It wasn't until the 7th day that a notice was posted on the wall. During this period, the carrier entered the building to retrieve returned mail. I reside at [redacted] 60 Royal Oak Plaza NW, Calgary, Alberta, T3G 0A7, and I am concerned about the status of my mail. I cannot retrieve it from the depot as I have done it before due to the limited hours of operation from Monday to Friday, 9 am to 2 pm. The mail carrier assigned to this location has faced numerous issues and received several complaints, but it seems that no action is being taken by the management to address these ongoing problems.

I recently noticed that Canada Post has updated our mail delivery service to a superbox. However, there seems to be an error in my address. My correct street address has always been 2 Shortill Rd, RR1, Ballinafad, On, N0B1H0. Canada Post has mistakenly entered it in their system as 2 Shorthill Dr, with incorrect spelling and street type. The name of the road is indeed "Shortill Rd" without an H and not "Dr". I have taken a picture of the street sign as evidence. Due to this mistake, I am facing issues with updating my address with various companies. I kindly request for the correction to be made in your database to reflect the accurate spelling "Shortill" and change the street type from "Dr" to "Rd". Kindly confirm once the update has been completed. Thank you.

I've had a second package go missing from American retailers in the last two weeks. The first package was from Amazon, and even though tracking showed it was delivered, it didn't arrive until a week later after the seller sent a replacement. The second package, a musical instrument pickup, was supposedly delivered on July 26 at 3:02 pm. USPS claims they are only responsible up to the border, and I can't reach Canada Post to find out who is responsible for delivery and what happened to my package. When I try to make a claim, the CP form won't accept the USPS tracking number. Can anyone help me with this situation?

When Canada Post claims a package is delivered, how can I find out who allegedly delivered it and why it is not in the locked mailbox? I am concerned about potential theft and lack of accountability. Additionally, when attempting to make a claim, Canada Post says my USPS tracking number is invalid, while USPS states they are not responsible for delivery once it reaches the Canadian border. I received notifications of delivery for two parcels that are nowhere to be found in the mailbox. The lack of transparency and accountability is frustrating, and there seems to be no way to contact anyone for assistance. Complaints to the Ombudsman's office require Canada Post to refuse a settlement first, making it difficult for customers to seek resolution. How can customers navigate this situation effectively?

My mother is receiving an overwhelming amount of mail scams, especially lottery-related, from various overseas addresses in her name. I've been informed that only she can request to return this mail and not us as her family. Is this true? Also, how can we prevent bulk overseas mail from reaching her mailbox? A relative, an Ottawa Police Sergeant, mentioned that the postal inspector can stop overseas mail from entering Canada. What specific steps should be taken for this to happen (such as a request form)? I am concerned about the high rate of elderly fraud, and I believe that Canada Post Corporation might unintentionally play a role by not taking action when issues like this are reported.

I am experiencing an issue with the delivery of a priority post letter containing a cheque that was supposed to arrive on August 1st. Despite the receiver being available to accept it, the letter has not been delivered. Supervisor Rachel, whom I spoke with, promised to provide updates but has not followed through despite multiple messages. The problem seems to lie with Canada Post, as the letter made it to the Scarborough depot but was not delivered on time. The lack of communication and service has been disappointing. I have since decided not to use Canada Post's express or priority delivery services for personal or business use going forward.

I observed suspicious activity at the Canada Post mailbox on Carlton Street east of Jarvis Street in Toronto. Around 9:42 PM, I saw a male with a key in the mailbox door who was not in Canada Post attire, which seemed unusual for that time of night. I waited nearby to monitor his actions. When he closed the mailbox, he walked east and entered a parked vehicle down the street. As I pretended to wait for the bus, he turned on his headlights. I chose not to board the bus, hoping to photograph his license plate, but he quickly made a U-turn to avoid passing me, raising my suspicions further. If needed, I can provide additional information. Please contact me at [redacted] or [redacted] I have also informed Toronto Police Services and the RCMP. Sincerely, Jeffrey Siegel.

Subject: URGENT: Issue with Temporary Residence Visa Delivery To whom it may concern, I recently applied for the renewal of my Temporary Residence Visa (TRA) and my passport was sent back from Ottawa by CIC on August 7th, reaching Calgary on August 8th. Unfortunately, the document was not delivered to me but instead returned to Ottawa on August 9th. I recently relocated to a rural area near Merville, BC. I was surprised to learn from the lady at the local post office that the only way to receive mail is by renting a mailbox for $[redacted] per year. Having lived in Canada for 63 years, this policy doesn't seem right to me. There is a community mailbox 2 kilometers from my house, while the Merville post office is 8 kilometers away, and Courtenay post office is 21 kilometers away.

My daughter requested new community mailbox keys without consulting me. Living with my elderly mother, who doesn't speak English or have IDs registered at this address as we're here temporarily, we can't pick up the keys due to lack of photo ID. I urgently need to cancel the service request ([redacted]51) to maintain access to our mailbox and her medical documents. After speaking to Rachelle, a supervisor, my call got disconnected before finalizing. I request the prompt closure of the ticket to avoid any disruptions. Thank you.

I attempted to set up mail forwarding from 29 Algonquin Ave N to [redacted] Fitzgerald St in Thunder Bay. After entering payment details, I had to answer Equifax questions to confirm my identity, which I couldn't submit due to viewing issues on mobile. I haven't received confirmation of mail forwarding but my payment went through. I am unable to check Canada Post's website on my desktop. How can I ensure my mail will be forwarded?

I am disappointed and frustrated that this is the fifth package not delivered by the postal service. Despite being home and available all day, I received a "sorry we missed you" notice. It is unacceptable that I have to go pick up packages instead of them being delivered. I do not pay for delivery fees to do the job myself. This recurring issue is extremely inconvenient, especially since I am five months pregnant and have to carry heavy boxes from the pickup location. I have noticed this happening to others as well, and it seems to be a common problem with Canada Post's service. I will be reporting this to the BBB, the Ombudsman, and Corporate Headquarters. This level of service is unacceptable, and improvements need to be made in the quality of service provided by the staff.
