I had an unemployment claim previously, but someone stole my money from my car. I contacted Bank of America to inform them of the situation. About 4 weeks later, they notified me by letter of fraudulent activity on my account, which I expected due to the theft. They issued a new card, but later put my case on hold, mentioning I needed to provide identification. It took me some time to get my birth certificate, but now I have all the required documents. I'm struggling to reinstate my claim and have been without benefits for the whole year. I've attempted to reopen a claim with EDD but have been unsuccessful. I'm unsure of the issue, but desperately need assistance. If anyone can help, please call me at [redacted] or email me at mobTuffy5151@gmail. Thank you.

In July [redacted], I received nearly $15,[redacted] for pandemic unemployment assistance. However, I never received my Bank of America EDD card. On August 5th, I was arrested and later released in July. Despite numerous attempts to contact Bank of America and the EDD, no one has been able to locate my old claim. I have tried to file a new claim but have struggled to verify my identity through id.me.com using my California ID. I have tried calling and reaching out online to both id.me and the EDD without any luck. Assistance has been elusive, and I'm still unable to access the help I need.

I filed a claim with the EDD on March 1, [redacted]. On June 25, [redacted], I received a letter from the EDD indicating my maximum benefit amount was $13,[redacted]. Subsequently, Bank of America informed me that my EDD benefits card would arrive within 10 business days. Unfortunately, on August 5, I was unexpectedly arrested for an outstanding warrant, only being released on July 14 of this year. Since my release, I've been trying to restart or recertify my claim, but I've faced various challenges. Firstly, I no longer recall the account number associated with my claim. Secondly, I cannot access my account as I've forgotten the email password as well. Even contacting Bank of America yielded no information, as they have no record of my benefits or the correspondence. Regrettably, I've been unable to reach the employment development department to resolve these issues. A live conversation with a representative is necessary to address this matter effectively.

Edd has suspended my account, leaving me without access to my belongings, car, house, or even affecting my family due to the termination of my benefits. This year, the same issue with over twenty to thirty certification and claim forms pending has occurred, with no communication from Edd. It is incredibly disrespectful to ignore families who rely on this compensation, especially during the hardships caused by Covid-19. I feel Edd is being unjust and insensitive by repeating these hold-ups without any valid reasons or assurances. I am considering taking legal action if Edd does not resolve this matter promptly. It has been months of enduring this ordeal, even after verifying my identity. I have filed appeals for the withheld funds, but Edd keeps coming up with false fraud accusations, delaying my payments unnecessarily. It is frustrating to go through this situation repeatedly, causing unnecessary stress and financial strain.

On July 9, [redacted], I lost my job and applied for a new claim with EDD. Unfortunately, I forgot about my old account linked to a different email. During the new account registration and ID.Me process, I encountered issues. After submitting the first certification for the week ending on 7/17/21, I was disqualified without receiving a notice in the mail. It has now been two weeks, and I have been unable to certify or receive an explanation for the disqualification. Upon further inspection, I realized that my new account seems to have merged with my old one as the personal image/caption and security questions do not align with what I inputted for the new account. This might be the reason for my account being suspended. I am seeking assistance to resolve this matter promptly so I can resume the certification process. Your help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

To the EDD claims representative specialist, I have certified for three weeks ending on 07/10/21-07/24/21 but have not received payment. It has been a month since I last received financial assistance as of Aug 3, [redacted].
Despite emailing EDD over five times, I have not received any responses. When calling, I am either unable to get through due to a full line or transferred to the wrong department after a long wait, only to be disconnected. I have tried calling every day, including weekends, without reaching a tier two claims specialist who can resolve my pending status.
My ID is not the issue; I am simply waiting to be cleared of the yearly quota process that EDD performs. I spend 8 to 9 hours daily calling without success. I am facing eviction and car repossession as my bank account is overdrawn with a balance of negative $[redacted].
I urgently need the pending status removed from my claims so I can clear my bills with the pending payments. Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

My UI claim began on 3/21/21 and will conclude on 3/19/22. Before the pandemic, I was on SDI, transitioning to UI afterward. I've been working diligently for 20+ years, now aged 51. Despite my work history, I'm struggling to find employment. I recently retrained as a phlebotomist during my time off, but as a novice, I'm facing challenges securing a job. With approximately $[redacted] left in my EDD account, I'm concerned about the looming end of government extensions and pandemic relief on September 6, [redacted]. Will I be left without income once my funds deplete? My existing claim is regular UI, not pandemic-specific. I'm hopeful for positive news regarding my situation and appreciate any assistance provided.

I need help with my unemployment claim. I created an account but I cannot log in without my EDD Customer Account Number. I have not received this number. I cannot check the status of my claim because of this issue. I have tried calling EDD multiple times but have not been able to speak with a representative. Please send me my EDD Customer Account Number via email as soon as possible. Thank you.

I submitted a claim about half a year ago but got stuck at the ID verification with id.me. Despite providing four types of ID, they were rejected, which doesn't seem fair as I am a U.S. citizen with rights. I lost everything to COVID - my apartment, job, and family, and need the funds I deserve. EDD should have accommodations for those who struggle with literacy like me. I may not have had much schooling, but as an adult, I can advocate for myself. I urge EDD to consider opening an office in Los Angeles to assist individuals like me who need help with their claims. I hope my appeal can be successful so I can rebuild my life like others who have found ways to manipulate the system.

Subject: Follow-up on Recent EDD Communication
I am writing in regards to a recent communication I received from EDD regarding State Disability Insurance. After carefully reviewing the notice, I am concerned about the timeline provided to submit the required documentation. The letter for the physician to fill out was dated July 30, but I only received it on August 9, which is already halfway through the given time frame. I fear that this delay may jeopardize my claim.
Despite my efforts to contact EDD via phone, I have been unable to speak with a live representative. The automated system does not address my specific concerns, leaving me frustrated and concerned about the looming deadline. If I cannot resolve this issue promptly, I may have to seek legal assistance to ensure my rights are protected.
I urge EDD to consider the challenges faced by claimants like myself and improve the accessibility of live support. Prompt action on this matter would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Julie A.

I have an approved claim with EDD for over a year and have been diligently submitting certification forms every two weeks. Despite answering all questions correctly and receiving confirmation that they have received my certifications, it has been more than three months without any payment for the approved weeks. After speaking with an EDD representative who confirmed there are no issues with my claim and assured me payment should be coming, I was abruptly hung up on after being transferred to another department. Subsequent attempts to reach EDD have been unfruitful, with evasive responses regarding the delayed payments. Emails have gone unanswered, and phone lines are constantly busy. The lack of transparency and failure to disburse funds, including federally allocated money, is concerning and baffling.

I have been attempting to reach a customer service representative for four months now. On August 19, [redacted], I encountered an issue with a claims form where I forgot to sign it. I promptly signed the next form provided and have not received any updates since. I checked with my local post office, and they confirmed receipt of the form. Despite numerous attempts, I have been unable to get through to anyone over the phone. In a final effort, I sent a detailed letter explaining the situation, including my contact information and social security number, in the hopes of receiving a response. Unfortunately, I have not heard back from the company. I am seeking advice on how to expedite the resolution of this matter.

After a few months, my claim was resolved and converted to a PUA Claim. Recently, I received a notification that I qualified for an extension due to changes in federal unemployment programs. Despite this, I haven't seen the extension reflected in my claim balance, which remains at 0.
Message received on 03/31/[redacted] from the Employment Development Department: Subject: Federal Pandemic Unemployment Benefits Have Been Extended. The recent legislation has extended benefits under the federal CARES Act of [redacted], amended by the American Rescue Plan Act of [redacted]. This extension applies to the Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA) program, offering an additional 29 weeks of benefits for unemployment weeks between March 14, [redacted], and September 4, [redacted]. This adjustment increases the maximum PUA claim weeks from 57 to 86 weeks.

In [redacted], I worked at Auntie Anne's Pretzel Place, and I have not received my W-2 form, hindering my ability to claim Unemployment or Stimulus benefits from [redacted] to [redacted]. Despite attempts to file in [redacted], I faced hurdles. The Labor Commissioner's Office in California contacted me in mid-[redacted] but postponed my hearing due to the COVID-19 situation. From March [redacted] to January 2, [redacted], I was in Colorado for school, which closed soon after due to the pandemic, and I returned to California in January [redacted] due to pregnancy. The delays continued, and I had my hearing in March [redacted] while heavily pregnant and dealing with health issues. After the hearing, I contacted the Labor Commissioner's Office regarding my missing checks and was advised to reach out to EDD or IRIS. However, challenges like local fires and power outages made it difficult to follow up. Now, I am seeking guidance on how to retrieve my outstanding benefits.

I am encountering an issue with the multiple ways available to complete The Continued Claim Form. When using a browser, I face a survey question on customer satisfaction that is mandatory to proceed, hindering the completion of the form. In contrast, the mobile app skips over the survey question quickly, providing confirmation once submitted. However, I am anxious as I have yet to receive payment for this claim period, and prompt payment is crucial for me. Although the survey aids EDD Human Resources, it should not be obligatory to finalize the form submission. I previously omitted the survey from a paper form, requiring a resubmission. It seems cumbersome that the survey question bypasses quickly on the app, not allowing for a review or modification. I seek clarity on the payment status, confirmation re-certification, urgent payment processing, and the variance in survey requirements between platforms.

I want to report a case of identity theft. There are individuals misusing this platform for fraudulent activities, deceiving people across the United States with promises of a tracking fee. They manipulate victims by taking their identities and scanning their faces before extracting money, using this information to evade detection. To appear legitimate, they even communicate with victims before the funds are transferred. The main perpetrator can be reached at [redacted], and they collaborate with two others. They utilize Apple Gift Cards with codes XFGKP7G8JMLFDVRD and XW3DLWYHNJWVLYK9 to receive illicit proceeds. By tracing the shipping address of items from the Apple Store, their location can potentially be identified.

Hello, in October, you requested me to complete identity verification with my ID. Unfortunately, I couldn't obtain my ID until now. I finally have my ID and would like to proceed with the identity verification to receive the remaining funds from my claim. Kindly assist me by reinstating the button on my page for ID verification so I can reopen my claim. Obtaining this money is crucial for me, and I have been trying to resolve this for several months. I genuinely need your assistance with this matter. Thank you.

I have been receiving benefits since 02/09/[redacted]. They keep asking me to verify my identity, which I did. Now they are requesting another form of identity which I cannot provide. I do not own a home or a car, and I don't have a P.O. Box. Social Security cannot send me a statement, and I am unsure why. I received this letter on August 31st, and I don't have enough time to obtain my birth certificate from Gary, IN. The cable bill is in my name, but it is managed online. I could request a copy of the bill, but it will take some time to arrive. I need more time to sort this out. I appreciate any assistance you can provide. Thank you.

I submitted my claim over a year ago, and it has been a complete disaster. Initially, I received approval, only to be denied the same week in another letter. Upon calling, they requested proof of identity and an appeal form. Despite following all instructions, winning the appeal in October last year, I have yet to receive any payments or certify. Despite numerous calls, I only spoke to someone once who mentioned an error on the claim that led to denial post-appeal, but no details were provided. I submitted another appeal as directed but have received no communication since. The phone lines are always busy, leaving me in a dire situation without any income to support my children. I have lost everything, and the lack of assistance is taking a toll on my hope for a better future.

I recently filed a new claim for pandemic assistance due to the impact of COVID-19 on my nannying and dog walking positions. My name is Theresa Trapani, and I faced challenges with the EDD website indicating issues with my previous file and incorrect email and photo details. Despite numerous unsuccessful attempts to reach them by phone, I urgently need to address these problems as my filing deadline is approaching. I have a medical history of spinal surgeries and am currently unable to work as an RN due to complications from prior knee surgeries. Missing out on a lucrative RN educator job opportunity has left me struggling to afford my monthly rent. I was unaware of my eligibility for unemployment benefits until recently. Please assist me in resolving these issues promptly. Thank you.
