I recently traveled from London to China and noticed an issue with the tier points awarded after my flight more than 8 weeks ago. Upon my arrival in China, I received 90 tier points, which seemed accurate. However, when I returned, I only received 20 tier points for each flight, despite both being in the same economy class. Usually, when flying within the UK, I receive 10-15 tier points, so I expected a higher increase when traveling to the other side of the world. I would appreciate clarification on the tier point system to ensure the correct value is being applied, as this determines my status level.

In January [redacted], I booked a round-the-world trip with Qantas in Business Class. The London to San Francisco leg was operated by BA. However, on the morning of July 17, I was informed that my seat had been given away, causing me to miss my flight and stay overnight at the Sofitel near Heathrow. Qantas directed me to contact BA regarding my complaint and claim for compensation. I am struggling to find the necessary information on how to proceed with my claim against BA.

Hello BA, I have a reservation for a flight from Riyadh to Glasgow with a layover at Heathrow Airport Terminal 4. I am wondering if I need to collect my luggage at Heathrow or if it will be transferred to my final destination for me. Also, Saudi Airlines allows me to have 2 pieces of luggage from Riyadh to Heathrow. Will British Airways also allow the same when I transfer to Glasgow? I am a student on my way to study in Glasgow. Thank you for your assistance. Ibrahim E.

During my journey from Mumbai to Philadelphia through Heathrow Airport, unfortunately, my silver hard case containing a sentimental guitar did not arrive at Philadelphia Airport. I reported the missing baggage on 16/08/[redacted] at 5:27 pm. The silver-grey hard guitar case has bubble wrap on the outside of the top end, with an unlocked case featuring a PRS wooden guitar inside adorned with a bird logo on the body. Despite providing information, I have not received updates or been able to reach the airline due to extended wait times. The situation is frustrating, and I am eager to locate my missing guitar. Our son traveled from Berlin to Salt Lake City via London and Dallas. Unfortunately, his luggage did not make it to its destination with him. Despite being reassured in Dallas that it would go directly to Salt Lake City, it has been missing since Saturday. He is in need of clothes, shoes, underwear, and personal hygiene items. The luggage claim number is SLC AA [redacted]2. We urgently request information on how your company plans to assist in this situation. We are seeking details on how to receive reimbursement for his purchases and an update on the expected arrival of his suitcase. Thank you.

My son flew from Berlin to Salt Lake City with a layover in London and Dallas, but unfortunately his luggage did not make it. The luggage claim number is SLC AA [redacted]2. Despite being told by British Airways that it was sent directly to SLC, it has not arrived. He has already filed a claim at the airport, but there is no update on its whereabouts since Saturday. He is in need of clothes, shoes, underwear, socks, and hygiene items urgently. We are also unsure how he can cover the expense of purchasing these items. Additionally, we are eager to know when his luggage will finally be delivered.

My son flew from Berlin, transiting through London and Dallas, to Salt Lake City, but sadly his luggage got missing on the way. Despite inquiries, the airline confirmed it was sent to SLC, but upon arrival, it was nowhere to be found. He has submitted a claim but hasn't received any updates. It's been since Saturday, and he urgently needs clothes, shoes, underwear, socks, and hygiene items. Any advice on how he can fund these purchases would be greatly appreciated. Also, we are anxious to know when the luggage will be delivered. If there's any information, please share. Thank you.

In mid-July, I encountered a challenging situation that required me to urgently book a last-minute flight from the UK to South Africa. Here's what happened: I had moved to the UK in May and was eagerly awaiting the arrival of my two dogs after not seeing them for four months. Unfortunately, the pet transport company erroneously cancelled their flight, resulting in the next available option being at the end of August. Distraught at the long separation from my dogs, I sought a "Travel Buddy" on Facebook to accompany them on a flight to the UK on July 24th. Despite initially booking a flight to South Africa to be their companion, I later found a volunteer to fulfill that role. However, upon canceling my ticket, I learned that British Airways does not refund canceled tickets. Despite reaching out to their Customer Care Center, I have not received a satisfactory response and am now struggling financially. Any assistance in resolving this issue would be greatly appreciated.

I traveled from Naples to Heathrow on August 18th aboard flight BA0425. Unfortunately, my suitcase did not make it to Heathrow with me. I have contacted the airline multiple times in the past ten days to track my luggage, but have not made any progress. During each call, they request that I update the bag's contents and provide the brand name, which I have done each time, reiterating that I do not know the brand name. On August 23rd, I was informed that Naples Airport would be contacted as a priority, yet I have not received any updates since then.

Hello, I need assistance with two issues. 1) I accidentally booked the same flight twice using two different codes: QMF779 and QLVENU due to a site error. I would like to cancel one of the bookings, specifically QLVENU. 2) I am unsure if my payment went through. After entering my payment details, I got an error message, but later received the e-ticket email. Does receiving the e-ticket mean my payment was successful? I have not contacted AMex yet, as I recently tried to purchase the ticket on August 29th. I also selected my seats but did not make the payment due to the confusion. Your help is appreciated. Thank you, Clara S.

After returning from our Orlando trip, we discovered that several items were missing from one of our suitcases. I contacted British Airways to report the incident. We checked our baggage in at Orlando Airport on July 9th and noticed the missing items on July 10th, finding the boxes empty. I provided BA with reference LGW BA [redacted] and the Bag Tag number Ba777850. I assumed this reference would be sufficient for my travel insurance claim. However, despite numerous emails and calls from Allianz insurance, they require a report from BA. I have made multiple unsuccessful attempts to reach out to BA through their website. Today, after spending over three hours trying to find assistance, I'm told it's too late to claim since it's been over 21 days. I seek advice on how to proceed with this situation.

Dear Sir or Madam, During my FIRST CLASS flight from FRA to SFO on August 25th, [redacted], my checked baggage was forgotten by BA in LHR. Unfortunately, the suitcase handle is completely jammed, squashed, and scratched - it cannot be pulled out, the suitcase is also scratched/squashed, it cannot be moved/transported. I have spent the entire day UNSUCCESSFULLY trying to report the issue on the BA website, it is not working at all, I am stuck and urgently need your help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The phone hotline at 1-[redacted] refuses to assist me and simply directs me to the BA form page, which I cannot fill out despite numerous attempts. Please note that I booked a FIRST CLASS flight but received terrible, abysmal service. I hope for your prompt response and appropriate assistance. Best regards, Dr. Maximilian Bialek

I recently purchased two tickets online for Peter Pilbrow and Julia Harrison for a flight from LGW to GND on October 25th for the outbound journey and April 7th, [redacted], for the return trip. The payment was deducted from Peter Pilbrow's account, but a message appeared indicating an issue and advised contacting BA. Despite my attempts, all phone lines are busy, and I do not have a booking reference to check the status of my reservation. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

I bought a British Airways ticket via Expedia in January [redacted]. Due to COVID-19, the ticket-voucher was extended three times, the latest expiry date now being 09/30/[redacted]. Unfortunately, Expedia was unable to assist me. However, things have become more complex as my electronics were stolen in April [redacted], resulting in the loss of all my saved information, including passwords, due to iCloud issues. Despite these challenges, I remain optimistic that I will be able to salvage my British Airways ticket before the September 30 deadline.

Ticket: [redacted] BA106 on August 30th at 1:25 am Hello, I had to cancel my inbound ticket from Dubai to London and Toronto on August 30th, [redacted], due to my mother's health. I spoke to a BA agent at DXB Terminal 1, who assured me she would cancel my ticket and re-book once my emergency was resolved. She advised me to contact BA support, which I did. I provided the required hospital documentation for re-booking, as requested. However, I have not heard from anyone at BA since then. I am disappointed with the lack of communication and handling of customer issues. I am eagerly awaiting a response. Sincerely, Barry M.

I phoned and identified as a travel agent; however, when speaking to Jason, the call abruptly ended. Upon redialing, Shane responded, only to disconnect the call abruptly when I greeted him. In a third attempt, I believe I spoke with "Chad." He expressed a sentiment implying that agents' errors are inconsequential compared to passengers', concluding with a rude remark before hanging up. I dialed [redacted]; is this British Airways? If so, I am seeking a formal apology.

I am traveling with my husband on 29/12/[redacted] to Salzburg. My booking reference is PQA75L for the flight departing LGW at 16:55. I have been attempting to switch to an earlier flight on the same day at 9:15. Customer services informed me that due to using Avios points, there is no availability for the change. My Executive Club membership number is [redacted]3. I fail to understand why this change is not feasible, considering I only used 6,[redacted] Avios points, amounting to a £52.00 saving. It appears that using Avios points is not as flexible as expected. Supposedly, without using points, I would have been able to make the flight change. I hope for assistance in resolving this matter promptly. Sincerely, D. Paton.

I recently booked a return flight with British Airways from Heathrow to Nashville and paid extra to reserve window seats for both flights. Unfortunately, my seats on both journeys had issues - from broken USB ports and entertainment screens on the outward flight to a non-reclining seat on the return flight, which led to me being moved to a middle seat. I have been trying to claim a refund for the paid seating through the BA website, but my booking reference is not being recognized. The online chat keeps cutting off while in the queue, and when I called BA, I was either hung up on or faced with unhelpful responses. Despite trying multiple times, I'm struggling to get assistance in starting a refund claim for the cost of the seat on the return journey.

I would like to share my experience with British Airways, regarding my delayed flight BA2616 from London Gatwick to Cagliari. The flight was originally scheduled for 16:55 but ended up departing around 19:00 without any explanation provided to the passengers waiting at Gatwick airport. Confusion arose when the gate display indicated closure at 18:10, allowing only passengers from groups 1-3 to board initially. Later, other passengers had to inquire if they were allowed to board. Throughout the flight, there was no communication about the delay until the pilot briefly apologized upon landing. As a loyal customer, I was disappointed by this lack of transparency and communication from British Airways. Sincerely, PVacca.

Travel Itinerary Update Booking Reference: OZVD8D Departure Date: September 27, [redacted] Departure: San Francisco International (SFO) Destination: Heathrow (LHR) Airline: British Airways I previously had confirmed Window and Aisle seats 22A and 22B, but upon checking my booking online, I discovered that my seat assignments had been changed to middle seats. I spoke with customer service representative Nikesh, who explained that there was an aircraft change, resulting in the seat reassignments. Unfortunately, I was not informed of this change beforehand, and it is disappointing that others were reassigned similar seats while I was not. This also occurred on my return flight. I booked early to secure my preferred seats, so this situation is frustrating. I respectfully request some form of compensation, ideally an upgrade to Business Class if seats are available. I was advised by Nikesh that there are approximately 15 seats available in Business Class. Please reach out to me promptly at 1-[redacted]. Thank you for addressing this matter. - Jay R.
