I am seeking assistance regarding a [redacted]-amp transfer box installed by an electrician. The backup power function has never activated despite the generator running. A dealer inspected the box and identified buzzing and arching when in generator mode. They mentioned a faulty control board and the need to replace bullet fuses, stating misaligned wiring. The repair estimate of $[redacted] seems excessive, and I believe obtaining a new box could be more cost-effective. I've tried to find a control board, but the numbers do not match those on the board in my box. The generator and box are both model #[redacted]. I am looking to purchase a replacement board and would appreciate if someone could provide the part number for this component. You can find an image of the board here: [redacted].

I recently bought my third GatorTail motor, which features a 40 HP Briggs engine. Unfortunately, the crankshaft broke, so I took it to a Briggs dealer who then sent the crankshaft to Briggs for inspection. Despite providing evidence like a broken oil pickup screen and blown head gaskets, my warranty claim was denied. The dealer mentioned that the denial was due to a loose attachment on the crank PTO, but he confirmed that nothing was tampered with. I believe this falls under the three-year warranty, and considering the issues found in the engine were not caused by my actions, I am frustrated with the denial and hope for a replacement engine.

I'm seeking assistance with my [redacted] Sears David Bradley Suburban 7 HP garden tractor. The Briggs and Stratton horizontal shaft engine's ignition coil needs replacement, but the model number is missing. Could someone provide a model number or recommend a source for a new coil? The coil needed has 3 poles, and I'm unsure if models with 2 poles are compatible with points and a condenser. Additionally, I'm concerned about potential issues with the magnets in the flywheel. Any guidance on this matter would be highly appreciated. Thank you.

Hello,
I recently took my mower to a dealer for a warranty repair regarding a faulty starter. After experiencing starting issues over the years, it completely stopped working this season. I was informed that the starter was a common problem in this model due to the lack of a decompression valve. Fortunately, the warranty covered the repair, and an aftermarket starter was installed temporarily since the original Briggs starter was on backorder until July. I am concerned about the longevity and warranty of the aftermarket starter and would like to address this with your team. Can I receive a new 3-year warranty for the replacement starter? How can I obtain a genuine Briggs starter in the future to prevent similar issues? I want to ensure the reliability of my mower, which has only been used for [redacted] hours and is not for commercial purposes. I have attached pictures of the motor and the repair receipt for reference. Please contact me at your convenience to discuss further. Thank you. [redacted].

I own a Briggs & Stratton Snapper-powered wheelbarrow, and I need to find some parts. I want to contact someone to express my frustration with this private equity-run situation. If you cannot take responsibility for your products, the investors should be aware of the lack of accountability. The control these companies have in the market is concerning. I am tired of this private equity system; every company they touch seems subpar. It's disheartening. It might not be the fault of the customer service representative I'll speak to, but it's frustrating. I just want my wheelbarrow to function properly. Ultimately, I am interested in reaching out to Briggs & Stratton's investors to address the issues. It's unfortunate that this is the only channel available; it reflects poorly on the company. Big businesses need to be held accountable.

My Briggs & Stratton-powered wheelbarrow, which was a significant investment of $1,[redacted], is no longer functioning. Unfortunately, I am experiencing difficulties finding parts or receiving any assistance to repair it. I feel frustrated with the lack of accountability from the private equity firm that I believe now owns the product. I simply want a working powered wheelbarrow or a suitable replacement without any further hassles. I feel let down by the lack of support and responsibility from those involved in this situation, and I am determined to address this issue and hold someone accountable for their actions. I need a reliable solution and I am willing to take any necessary steps to ensure this matter is resolved promptly.

I purchased a Briggs & Stratton lawnmower, Model #[redacted] J020167F1, Serial #[redacted][redacted], from Home Depot in Fairfield, AL on 4/25/[redacted]. After only 5 uses, on 6/16/[redacted] while mowing, the mower suddenly stopped and wouldn't restart. Checking the gas and oil levels, confirming they were adequate, my son and I then brought it to Advanced Mower Inc. in Bessemer, AL for service the same day. Even with a $70 deposit paid, upon inspection, the technician claimed there was no oil in the motor, which was not true. On June 21, [redacted], Advance called to say the repair was not covered and suggested getting a new mower, disregarding the $[redacted] spent. This situation is frustrating as I cannot afford to waste money on a faulty product. I hope for a resolution to this issue.

I own a Craftsman lawn mower with a Briggs & Stratton Series [redacted] engine. After hitting a stump, the mower failed to start. Although the woodruff flywheel key was partially sheared, the crankshaft remained intact. I replaced the flywheel key, but starting the mower continued to be a challenge. I suspected the impact might have affected the Valve timing, so I removed the camshaft. Observing the camshaft from below, the exhaust valve eccentric seemed slightly off, pointing left of the timing tab by approximately half a tooth or 1-2°. This model features a plastic cam on a metal shaft.
I'm unsure if this misalignment is normal or a result of the impact. If you need a visual, let me know where I can send a picture. Alternatively, please advise on how best to contact Briggs & Stratton for assistance.

I am in need of assistance to download a manual for a Briggs and Stratton engine installed on a McLane edger. The "find manuals and parts" page does not include edgers as an option, preventing me from proceeding. The numbers stamped on the engine block are [redacted], [redacted]92, and [redacted]F1, consisting of six, nine, and twelve digits respectively. None of these numbers match the examples provided on the website. I have an XR 3.5 engine, and I would greatly appreciate any help in obtaining the manual. Thank you.

Dear Sirs,
I have disassembled the Briggs and Stratton engine on my lawnmower for repairs. I need to replace the compression rings, but I am unsure of the correct size to purchase. The cylinder diameter is 6.5 cm. The sellers in Latvia offer various sizes like 65.11 mm and 65.09 mm. Unfortunately, the lawnmower does not have any model information, only part numbers on the engine. The sellers are unable to determine the correct size without this information. They believe it is a classic Briggs and Stratton engine, possibly [redacted] cc, but that is not enough to make a confident purchase. I can provide a photo of the engine if needed for clarification. Thank you for your help.
Best, Alexander.
