If you're no longer interested in keeping your eHarmony account, check out these detailed instructions for canceling your subscription.
eHarmony is an online dating platform that allows users to connect with potential matches. The company was founded in 2000 and is now owned by a German mass media organization. Members pay a fee for their eHarmony subscription and can sign up for a monthly plan (1, 3, or 6 months) or an annual plan. Your plan is automatically renewed if you don't cancel beforehand.
If you no longer require your eHarmony subscription, because you've found a match either offline or online, you can cancel your account. Follow the below steps to end your eHarmony subscription.
Go to www.eharmony.com
Select 'Log In' in the top right corner.
Sign in to your account with your email address and password. Alternatively, you can sign in with your Facebook account.
Next to your picture in the right corner of the screen is a downward-facing arrow. Click on it and select 'Account Settings.'
Select 'Billing.'
Scroll to the bottom of the screen and click on the 'Cancel Subscription' link. Note that this button will only turn off the auto-renewal process but your current subscription will run its full course.
Follow the instructions to go to the confirmation page.
You will receive a confirmation email.
You can then verify that your auto-renewal is turned off. Sign back into your account, navigate back to 'Account Settings' and scroll to the bottom of the page. You should see your subscription information with a 'Set to expire' date.
You can choose 'Close Account' if you want to delete your account and not use the remaining term of your subscription.
Note that if you have canceled your account and still have outstanding payments, you will still be charged for the outstanding balances. If you want clarification if any fees or charges apply for canceling your subscription early, it's best to contact the eHarmony customer support team.
You can contact the eHarmony customer support line to get assistance canceling your account. Make sure to clarify with the customer support agent what fees and balances will be charged. Additionally, ask for the agent to send you a confirmation email. Keep the agent on the phone until you have received and reviewed the email.
If you are having difficulties canceling online and prefer not to speak to a person over the phone, you can also email the eHarmony customer support team. Make sure to provide your account details so the agent can help you quickly. Note that it can take several days for an eHarmony customer support agent to get back to you. Do not choose this method if you're close to your automatic renewal date.
GetHuman has been working for over 10 years on sourcing information about big organizations like eHarmony in order to help customers resolve customer service issues faster. We started with contact information and fastest ways to reach a human at big companies. Particularly ones with slow or complicated IVR or phone menu systems. Or companies that have self-serve help forums instead of a customer service department. From there, we realized that consumers still needed more detailed help solving the most common problems, so we expanded to this set of guides, which grows every day. And if you spot any issues with our How Do I Cancel My Subscription to eHarmony? guide, please let us know by sending us feedback. We want to be as helpful as possible. If you appreciated this guide, please share it with your favorite people. Our free information and tools is powered by you, the customer. The more people that use it, the better it gets.
