Canceling Recurring Payments on Your US Bank Debit Card

If you have set up recurring payments on your US Bank debit card, you first will need to reach out to the vendor to try to stop the payments. If this doesn't work, you can call US Bank customer service to start a dispute claim to end the recurring payments and recover any payments that should not have been taken from your debit account.

You will need to provide, at minimum, the following information:

  1. Your name and account number along with verification information such as PIN or pass code.
  2. The last time you reached out to the merchant or vendor.
  3. Any information you were given regarding the vendor's policies and procedures.
  4. What the problem is or what needs to be resolved.
  5. Any additional information the representative may need to dispute the claim.

Canceling Recurring Payments With US Bank Send Money Feature

If you have set up recurring payments with the send money feature and want to stop these payments, do the following:

  1. Log into your account online or through the mobile app.
  2. Click "Send Money."
  3. Choose "Transaction Timeline" and "Recurring" online or "Activity" on the app.
  4. Find the vendor or merchant that you want to cancel.
  5. Choose "Cancel Recurring" to stop future payments.

Payments submitted using the send money feature can be canceled at any time until they are claimed by the vendor.

Stopping recurring payments with credit cards, debit cards or the send money feature is easy, and US Bank allows canceling payments that are processing as long as the money has not been accepted by the vendor.
