If you have a Tidal music subscription account, but you would like to change your username, password, or both, here is a simple guide explaining how.
You are a Tidal subscriber because you like to listen to music and podcasts and watch hi-definition videos on a single platform. However, you would like to reset your username or password because you have either forgotten your login details or would like to change them.
The original username that you used to set up your Tidal subscription cannot be changed and will remain the username associated with your account forever. However, the email associated with your Tidal account can be changed for contact purposes.
Fortunately, if you know your username or email address, you can reset your password via the Tidal website.
Find out how.
If you can still log in to your Tidal account but would like to change your username or password you must first navigate yourself to the Tidal website.
Once you have found the homepage, select the 'login' button in the top right corner and then log in using your username and password.
After logging into your Tidal account, find the 'Settings' tab in the lefthand slider and select it. This will transfer you to a new page.
Once the new page opens, select 'Account.'
For security reasons, you must enter your original login details in order to change them. Once you have entered your old password, you will be given the option to enter a new password.
Enter your new details and click update.
If you would like to change your password because you have forgotten your details, navigate to the My Tidal login webpage.
Once you have arrived at the Tidal homepage, select the 'Forgot Your Password?' button under the 'Log in' button.
If you know the email address or username associated with your Tidal account, choose one to enter and select 'continue.'
Once you have done this, an email will be sent to your inbox containing a password reset link. If you cannot find the password reset email, check your spam folder.
Open the password reset email and follow the reset link inside. This link will take you to a new page that gives you the option to create a new password.
Enter your new password and click 'submit.'
You should now be able to log in with your username and new password.
If you have carefully followed each of these steps, but you are still unable to change your Tidal password or access your account, you can contact the help desk team. We started with contact information and fastest ways to reach a human at big companies. Particularly ones with slow or complicated IVR or phone menu systems. Or companies that have self-serve help forums instead of a customer service department. From there, we realized that consumers still needed more detailed help solving the most common problems, so we expanded to this set of guides, which grows every day.
